Coruscant

Early morning (tenth day after collapse)

At her residence, Padmé was worried about her husband, she didn't know anything about him. After receiving news that the Jedi temple had been attacked by clones.

She began to panic, she didn't know what to do, the fear that her husband had confronted the Chancellor, alone, scared her.

"Excuse me, Mistress Padmé, a Jedi starfighter arrived just now," CP03 reported.

Padme looking at Obi-wan felt relieved "Obi-wan, it's good that you're okay." Padmé said with joy that brimmed with hope. "What has happened?".

"The clones... have rebelled against the Jedi, they have begun to attack us, this must be part of the Emperor's plans."

"Are there survivors, can't we let this happen?" Padmé said with determination.

"Master Yoda, he is trying to search for surviving Jedi... you are in danger, I have to get you out of here... it is not safe for your child to be born here."

Remote station

Asteroid Polis Massa

Tenth day after collapse

"Through the force I feel them... they are twins" Yoda mentioned when he saw Padme.

"twins!?" Obi-wan asked in dismay.

"I feel a great danger in the mother, we must save the twins... our last hope they are..."

Obi-wan felt a disturbance in the force... Anakin was still alive.

"Anakin, where are you?" Obi-wan asked through the force.

"I don't know...Chancellor Palpatine has me locked up in the LiMerge compounds...Obi-wan, he did something terrible to the clones."

"I know... most of us didn't survive... But there's still hope. Hang in there, I'm going to come for you."

"Don't do it… if you come, the Chancellor will kill you" Anakin showed fear in his voice.

"You're still alive... I'm not going to leave you."

By ending the conversation by using force. Obi-wan decided to save Anakin... by returning to Coruscant... it would be dangerous, yes, but he would not let his friend die.

"Master Yoda, I must return to Coruscant... Anakin is still alive. I must find him" Obi-wan responds.

"Hum... the young Skywalker, seduced by the dark side is not yet... bad decisions I make... but you should save him."

LiMerge Industrial Complex

Coruscant

Afternoon (10th day after collapse)

Anakin had asked Obi-wan not to come rescue him from here, but his denial reached his mind. Making it clear to him that he did not mind risking his life, for his well-being.

Anakin felt Obi-wan's presence in the force, but did not sense Sidious's presence. He noticed that he was bound to a collar that nullifies his abilities in the force. But he also felt the presence of several clones guarding the place.

It had not been an easy task for Obi-wan to return to Coruscant, with the risk of being killed by several clone soldiers. But he was able to reach the LiMerge industrial complexes.

Sensing Anakin's presence closer, he quickened his pace. Arriving to find his friend chained. Approaching Anakin removing the chains and collar with the use of force.

"Master... I told you not to come" Anakin looked at his teacher worried.

"I wasn't going to leave you alone here..." Obi-wan adopted a serious tone and handed him an additional lightsaber which Anakin grabbed in his hands.

At that moment the collar's escape alarm caught the attention of the clone troopers.

Anakin and Obi-wan were running down the hallways, entering the ventilation ducts.

The hallways were filled with clone troopers, searching for Anakin. Hiding Obi-wan and Anakin waiting for the best moment to come out and escape.

Anakin looked at Obi-wan with great doubt and fear "And Padmé?! Where is she, master?"

"Calm down Anakin, she's fine. I took her to a safe place, she is with Master Yoda."

"Where are they?" Anakin asked.

"At the Polis Massa asteroid station... there is a medical center there. So you don't have to worry about it."

"But my visions, master! Padmé may die... and I don't know how to save her..." Anakin was frustrated by the idea of losing Padmé and his unborn child.

"Anakin, you have nothing to worry about. I found a way to save Padmé…" Obi-wan confessed and Anakin opened his eyes.

"Really, master? Is there hope?" Anakin's tone of voice sounded desperate for any sign of being able to save Padmé.

"The dyad of the force is like life itself, using its power you can heal any living being..." Obi-wan confessed to Anakin.

Hearing this, Anakin felt a sense of peace and relief. Padmé would not die and neither would her son.

A few hours later, they saw that the hallways were already clear, checking that it was safe, they left through the ventilation ducts heading to the hallways that led to the exit.

As they ran through the hallways, Anakin felt through the dyad. As Sidious spoke to him probing his mind.

"No matter how hard you try to run away from me, Anakin... You belong to me." Sidious's dark voice surrounded Anakin's mind.

Anakin denied, trying to get the voice out of his mind "No… I will never come back. I decide about my life and I tell you no…

"Every path you follow, Anakin, will lead you to me. Sooner or later you will come to my side. I can feel it... I feel your anger. It gives you focus! It makes you stronger..."

Anakin denied once again, a worried Obi-wan approaches Anakin asking what was wrong.

"Anakin, what's wrong? What's wrong with you?"

"It's Palpatine, he's on my mind because of that connection... he wants me to come back to him, but I never will." Anakin responded with pain inside him, at the invasion of his conscience.

"Ignore him! Don't let him influence you... We're about to escape." Obi-wan advised as they ran to the landing pad where R2D2 was waiting for them to leave.

Anakin did not stop feeling that immense pain in his head, until he managed to close the bond of the dyad.

"Come back before it's too late... Or the consequences will be worse than you imagine."

It was the last thing Anakin heard, it took them a long time to escape, defeating the clone troops that stood in their way.

Upon reaching the ship, they boarded it and left, despite the attacks of the other ships that were pursuing them. They managed to jump into hyperspace, leaving Coruscant behind.

Luke and Leia are about to be born. Will Anakin be able to save Padmé?
