Chapter Eleven.
At the Old House, Willie Loomis was looking out the window and he saw a pair of head lights from a pick up truck, coming slowly down the drive way to the Old House. Loomis was getting nervous and he can sense that this person was not very kind and welcoming. "I have to go tell Barnabas that he's coming here now." He said to himself out loud before he rushed up the stairs.
In Josette's room, Barnabas was holding Juliet in his arms. She was sobbing, feeling afraid for her life and she needed the vampire for love and protection. Mathews can sense that Eric was all ready coming down the drive way towards the Old House. Barnabas rested his head on top of hers to soothe her anxiety down. "Shh. It's all right, my dearest, Juliet." He said softly to her as he rubbed her back and he closed his eyes as he kissed the top of her head.
Juliet tightened her arms around the vampire in response. She was still sobbing. "Please hold me more, Barnabas. Take this pain away. Please help me." She said in a whisper. The vampire heard her loud and clear when he held her a bit longer.
Barnabas lifted his hand to caress her cheek. He lifted her head with his hand. "I will do any thing to help you, my love." He said quietly before he kissed her lips to his tenderly, pouring his love in to their kiss. The vampire felt human when Juliet was around him.
Just then, Barnabas and Juliet broke their kiss when they both heard. "Barnabas, that man you were talking about is coming over here." Willie shouted as he was rushing up the stairs. "His car is coming this way." He added. And he saw the two love birds were in Josette's bed room, they embracing each other. The vampire felt Mathews' body stiffened up as a board when Loomis told Barnabas that Eric was coming for Juliet.
Willie saw the murderous glare in his master's eyes. The vampire saw the look on his face and he looked down at his Juliet. "Juliet, my dearest, stay up here with Willie and I will be right back." He said when he kissed her head. He reluctantly pulled her back from him at arms length and he held her hand that said with out words that every thing would be all right after this before he walked over to the door. Mathews knew that Barnabas would never leave her.
He turned around to his servant. "Stay here with Juliet, Willie. And keep her safe in any case this man intends to harm Juliet." He told him. Loomis did what Barnabas told him to do.
"I'll do that, Barnabas." Willie said. The vampire nodded his head in agreement and understanding before he opened the door and walked out and he went towards the front door, waiting for the right moment to get Eric.
Down the stairs at the front door, Barnabas was waiting for Eric to walk right through the door. He leaned in to the door and he heard the truck stopped and the engine turned off on his truck. The vampire could also hear the vehicle door opening and slamming it closing. He also heard the bad man muttering and laughing evilly that he was going to kill Juliet and Eric's words got Barnabas real angry. He will protect and love his Juliet at all costs.
The vampire then hear and he could tell that Eric was making it looked like that he was putting away some thing. In particularly his hand gun. Barnabas' eyes widened slightly and he shook his head. He was worried for his love and he knew that she was safe in Josette's bed room with Willie Loomis. And suddenly, there was a knock on the front door.
Mean while, up the stairs in Josette's room, Juliet heard the door knock and she became so stiff as a board. Willie saw this and he helped her over to one of the chair like sofa and he got her to sit down. She was in shock and she was trembling all over and she never said any thing. Mathews never cried out, but her tears were flowing down her face like water falls. She was having a panic attack.
Down the stairs, Barnabas looked up the stairs and he could sense his love's fear. He wished that he was still up there, comforting her, but right at this very moment, he had an evil man to get. Barnabas was neither a hero or a villain. But the vampire was the hero to save Juliet from this man. He would not let Eric touch what is his. The knock came once again. Barnabas reached his hand out and he unlocked the door and he rushed over to the candles to blow them out. Then, the vampire was out of sight for now, waiting to strike at his prey for the kill.
