Wendy groaned while slowly regained consciousness, her vision becoming clearer with every blink. She saw the floor several feet away from her but couldn't feel her legs being on the floor. She looked over her shoulders. Her arms were spread out reaching above her head, her hands and wrist swallowed by a red, gum-like substance. She looked down, seeing the lower half of her body was covered by the same substance as her hands.

"What the-" Wendy tried to pull her hands out but had no signs of success. Her legs were unable to move an inch. Wendy grunted trying to escape, but whenever she was close to freeing one of her hands, the substance would quickly grab her, and swallow more of her arm.

"You should really treat your position like you're in quicksand." Wendy heard, turning her head forward, seeing a grinning Mendi sitting on a office chair. "The more you struggle, the faster you sink." Mendi got up from her seat and began walking towards Wendy.

"Where are we?"

"We're somewhere no one can disturb us. A useful room I came across these past couple of days." Mendi looked around the near pitch-black room.

"What are you?" Wendy asked her.

"Me? I'm many things, Wendy. But, for the sake of simplicity, we'll say I'm a natural force of nature created by the selfish decisions of humans." Mendi began resonating a disturbing red aura from her body, Wendy caught a whiff of what smelled like iron from her.

"What does that even mean?" Wendy softly said.

"It doesn't matter, what does matter is I finally have you right where I need you." Mendi grabbed Wendy's face with one hand, Wendy pulled away from her.

"Don't fucking touch me!" Wendy snapped. Mendi put her hand down.

"That's fine, it's not you I need to touch. Not yet at least. Making that cocoon for you took more out of me than I anticipated. So, sadly, I'm going to have to leave you alone, but only for a little while. I promise I'll be back soon." Mendi's smile put a sick feeling in Wendy's stomach.

"What is it you want?" Wendy asked. Mendi's eyes locked with Wendy's.

"Revenge, Wendy. I want revenge on you and your stupid friends." Mendi began to grit her teeth. Staring at Wendy, clenching her fist.

"Us? How could you want revenge on us? We never even met before you psycho!" Mendi walked over to a desk behind her, looking at the lantern illuminating light into the mostly dark room.

"There's a lot you don't know, Wendy. Like when your mother came and asked me and my comrades for help." Mendi peaked over her shoulder, seeing Wendy's angered face change to a baffled one. Mendi stared back into the fire of the lantern. "I knew your mother for a brief time, she was a woman who was certainly set in her own ways, much like you. While your mom was very strong emotionally and physically, she was mentally weak. I'm sure you've seen your fair share of oddities in this hick town you call home, and so did your mother. While you were able to keep a cool head, your mom couldn't bear the idea of creatures like unicorns or aliens being real. Or I should say, the idea of her family being killed by them. Other people in this place needed to cope as well and decided that ignorance would best fix the problem. That's when the society of the blind eye was created. And the satisfaction of relief from their disturbances fed me so generously. I would feed every day from the serotonin rushing in their heads as we wiped away their memories. It was wonderful..." Mendi snarled. "Until your mother arrived. We were going to help her. One of our members insisted that our procedure would relieve her of the paranoia and mental torment she felt every day after encountering some otherworldly creature. When she arrived, she was hesitant to go through with erasing her memory. It was in the middle of the memory wipe where she changed her mind and struggled to get out of the chair. She kept yelling 'this won't protect my family' or something along those lines. We had to conceal her, but your mother, being the fighter she is, got away. That's when she made things bad to worse; not only for herself, but for her family too. She knew the society existed, and she knew what they were capable of. That's when we had to conduct a plan to take care of any... liabilities. I insisted that we kill her and your family, but the blind eye did not want their group to be connected to any homicides. The blind eye had created a plan to sneak into her home and erase any memories she had of us. But that night, there were ambulances and police cars around your home. A team of paramedics wheeled out a body on a gurney covered by a sheet. We retreated and decided to strike another night." Wendy mind flash back to that night. She couldn't stop crying until she tired herself out and fell asleep, only to cry more when she woke up. Even her father cried but would deny it if anyone ever asked. It was months before she ate a proper meal or saw any of her friends. "It wasn't until the obituaries in the Sunday paper revealed that your mother had passed away, and that's when the blind eye started to crumble upon itself. There were some members that still believed their cause was just, but rumors were created and spread, and many people left the society, accusing us of being the ones who took your mother's life and disguised it as a suicide. They were scared that they would be next in line to be murdered, even after we pled our goal was to erase memories. They wouldn't believe us, so we let them go. We erased their minds and sent them back to live their little worthless lives. That's when I started to grow hungry. They were my main sources of food before begging to have their memories wiped. Then we had to search for them, anyone who saw an oddity in Gravity Falls and erase their fears and anxieties. I would barely survive off them. Then you guys stuck your noses in where they didn't belong." Mendi turned around and faced Wendy. "You destroyed what was left of the blind eye, and any source of life I had left!" Mendi yelled, red creeping into the white of her eyes. "I had to leave Gravity Falls and find a place of cheap highs and quick satisfactions! I lived in the streets and gutters of Seattle for nearly a year because of you guys! I had to scrounge up anything from prostitutes, heroin addicts, anything to just make sure I wouldn't die!" Mendi started curl an evil smile, looking down at her body. "That's when I found this girl, Mendi. A lost soul with no idea how powerful opiates is on the body. One night, out having fun, she decided to try heroin, but no one ever told her how much was too much. This stupid girl had overdosed on the middle of an ally, twitching on the ground, and foaming from the mouth. Once her body stopped moving, that's when I took over. I transferred my spirit into her body and gained strength as if I had awakened from a long, resting nap." Mendi looked at her hands. "I had wanted to come back immediately after I had taken her body, but she had a friend, one just as disturbing and lost as she was, Ryan. He was a decent guy, had his issues, but seemed genuinely concerned for her. He would message me every day, asking if I was alright, if he could help with anything, just being very annoying in the nicest way possible. I had tricked him into thinking I was still his sweet friend Mendi, and he was none the wiser. We talked about how we hated the world, and would set it ablaze and watch it burn, but that was too much effort on our part. It was then I knew I could romanticize death and convince him into a suicide pact. We decided we'd leave this world, on our own terms and in front of thousands to disturb them just as they disturbed us. We sneaked to the top of a skyscraper with syringes full of heroin. The plan was to plunge it into our veins, then plunge ourselves off the ledge onto the concrete."

"You ready for this?" Ryan asked.

"I'm ready, as long as you're here." Mendi caressed his face, then kissed him passionately. The two teens looked down at city lights and parallel roads from atop the building.

"Fuck you, world! Hope you kiss our asses when you're scraping us off the pavement!" Ryan yelled from the top of his lungs. Ryan's turned to Mendi, who was already looking at him with a big smile. Ryan tied his arm and injected the heroin into his veins. Mendi pretended to do the same. The two held each other's hands. "Okay... on Three..."

"Two..." Mendi continued the countdown. Both had released the strap around their arms. Ryan quickly got high as heroin rushed in his veins.

"One!" Ryan yelled, as he jumped off the building. Mendi pulled her hand back and stepped back from the ledge.

"I can still remember the look on his face when he saw I didn't jump. A face full of betrayal, heartbreak, and most of all, rage. The last thing I heard him say was yelling my name." Mendi smiled at Wendy, who had her mouth ajar from hearing the repulsive story.

"You're a fucking monster..." Wendy stared at Micah's eyes.

"I'm not a monster, Wendy, I'm a survivor. I didn't have time to pick up the pieces from Mendi's previous life, I have my own goals. But thanks to Ryan, I did find out something new." Mendi leaned towards Wendy's face. "When people kill themselves, it's a better feast than anything I could have ever imagined. The amount of pain and frustration lifted from his corpse..." Mendi juddered from pleasure where she stood.

"I could only imagine how wonderful your mother's relief would have been that night she killed herself." Mendi smiled.

"Fuck you!" Wendy spat in Mendi's eye. Mendi wiped it off with the sleeve of her shirt.

"That's it, Wendy." Mendi put her hand over Wendy's mouth, making her screams muffled. "That's exactly what I need. Let out all your anger, angst, and frustrations out!" Mendi demanded. Red aura was leaving Wendy's body and entering Mendi's nose. Mendi took a deep inhale, making her eyes red and pupils small again. She let go of Wendy. Wendy coughed, while Mendi was inhaling the rest of the aura.

"Why are you telling me all this? Are you going to kill me?" Wendy questioned.

"I am, but I have plans for your body Wendy. You see, once I obtain all the power I need in order to complete this cocoon, that's when you'll suffocate without any signs of struggle or damage to your body, and where I'll take control of your corpse. When I take control of your body, I can kill every one of your friends and family. Pick them off, one by one. Once I do that, I can leave Gravity Falls and become the new leader for a new society of the blind eye. If anyone tries to search for you wondering what happened to you, I'll kill them too. Our last leader was too small minded to keep our practices in this nowhere town. I could sweep the world with my promise of clearing billions of consciousness. People all over would join to forget some miserable aspect of their life. I could bring peace to almost any nation or start wars whenever I please. Making me the messiah of a new world order." Mendi took a deep breath and exhaled in relief. "But one step at a time." Mendi petted the substance withholding Wendy as it crawled up slowly more up Wendy's torso. "I should be able to get what I need from your good friend, Dipper." Mendi's sultry eyes met Wendy's.

"Hate to burst your bubble you sycophant freak, but we destroyed the mind erasing device last summer. Puts a pretty big gaping hole in your 'new world order' plan." Wendy mocked. Mendi still held a smile, despite hearing Wendy's words.

"Oh, I'll make sure to pay a visit to McGucket. He may be hesitant at first to build me a new one, but maybe he won't be if his son's life is in danger." Mendi suggested. Wendy snarled. "Using people's children is an amazing negotiation tactic, Wendy. You should have tried it when you had a chance." Mendi chuckled. "I should get going, don't want to be tired tomorrow when Dipper and I go to the music festival. He's a gold mine that keeps giving me power with the most minimal effort. I get so much from him just by scratching the back of his head, imagine what I could get if I were to do more." Mendi's eyes gave Wendy the Kubrick stare.

"More? What do you mean more?" Mendi put her hand in front of her mouth and moved it back and forth in front of her lips, pushing her cheek with her tongue when she moved her hand towards her face. Wendy began to fill with rage. "I'll kill you if you lay a finger on him, you crazy bitch." Wendy threatened. Mendi laughed, her voice filling the room.

"You're in no position to make threats, but by all means, keep getting angry." Mendi laughed as she walked out of a doorway and up a set of stairs. Mendi made it to the top of the staircase and pushed the vending machine quietly. Mendi softly stepped out of the Mystery Shack and looked up at the lit room Dipper and Mabel slept in. "Goodnight, guys, I'll see you tomorrow. Especially you, Dipper." One of Mendi's eyes turned red as she called Dipper's name and began to walk away.
