A new day dawned on Gravity Falls. Mabel and Dipper were all excited for their shifts to end so they could make the first night at Lazzaopaloozawa. Near the end of their shift, Candy and Grenda met up with the twins at the shack and would all ride the golf kart there together. Dipper, though, couldn't help but feel uneasy seeing neither Wendy nor Mendi showed up for work. Mabel, Candy and Grenda all piled into the golf kart, Mabel honked the horn.

"C'mon Dipper! We gotta get good parking!" Mabel called out to her brother. Dipper walked up to the crowded kart.

"Mabel, did Wendy or Mendi tell you that they were gonna be out from work today?" Dipper asked. Mabel raspberried.

"They probably skipped work so they could get an early start at the festival. Which was a good call because today was dead. Now c'mon, let's go!" Mabel yelled.

"Hold on dudes, just because this kart doesn't require a license, I can't just let you take company property to an awesome music festival." Soos said. The three girls groaned. Mabel begged Soos for them to take the kart and promised to be very careful with it. Soos wasn't comfortable letting the four teenagers with the company kart. In Dipper's peripheral vision, he saw Mendi carrying a cooler towards them.

"Hey Mendi!" Dipper waved with a big grin, then coughed a couple times. "I mean...' sup?" Dipper leaned on the golf kart. "Hey guys, ready for Lazzaopaloozawa?" Mendi asked, putting the cooler down. Mabel explained they were, but Soos wouldn't let them take the golf kart.

"Hey Soos, would it be okay if we took it if I drive? I do have my driver's license." Mendi pulled out her wallet and showed Soos her Oregon state license.

"Hmmm... I'm still not sure." Soos said rubbing his chin.
"I also brought you a cooler full of Pitt-Colas for being an awesome boss." Mendi waved her hand in front of the cooler, which Soos was locked on to. He handed Mendi her license back.

"Alright, just be safe you guys." Soos picked up the cooler Mendi brought and headed into the shack. The girls cheered 'Mendi' multiple times. They all got into the kart and headed to the music festival.

"HEELLLLLP! HEELLLLLLP!" Wendy was yelling as loud as she could. Her voice was beginning to become hoarse. Wendy groaned, thinking about how a monster is going to manipulate Dipper into giving them the power to kill them. Time was unknown in the pitch-black room Wendy was trapped in. She prevented herself from dozing off in case Mendi returned. "Help..." Wendy said one more time. Her grief and hopelessness made her begin to cry. She whimpered thinking about all the people she wants to help but is unable to move from where she's trapped.
The group arrived at the music festival. Upon arriving, Dipper, Mabel, Candy and Granda were amazed by the size of the stages, the crowds, the blasting music, and the wild activities going on around them.

"This place is... is..."

"Wild?" Mendi finished Dipper's sentence. He looked up at her and smiled.

"C'mon, let's go see what stage BABBA is playing on." Mendi suggested, trying to stay calm from the massive amount of satisfying energy she could reap from everyone around her. She couldn't help but make note of the drug abusers, people telling their ex's off through text or phone calls, or the people cheating on their partners while being high at a music festival. Mendi felt like she was in the middle of a grand buffet and despised the fact that she needed to physically touch somebody to retrieve the red aura oozing from almost everyone around her. Mendi looked at Dipper walking in front of her, knowing she'd get what she needed from that pent-up frustrated teenager.
At the Myster Shack, Soos was sitting on the front porch, opening another soda from the cooler Mendi brought him.

"Man, these Pitt-Colas taste a little... um... bad." Soos said, swigging more from his can. A red sedan pulled up in front of the shack. Soos saw the headlights turned off and both front doors open.

"Good to see the building is still in one piece, even the 'S' is holding up." Stan closed the passenger door. Soos eyes popped open with excitement.

"Mr. Pines!" Soos got up from his seat and stumbled down the step to welcome Stan.

"Hey Soos." Stan grunted as Soos tightly hugged him.

"Aww it's so good to see you. You know, you're like, like a father to me. I never had a lot of time with my real dad, but you, you fill that part in my heart." Soos slightly slurred his words when talking to Stan. Ford approached Stan and Soos.

"Is he alright?" Ford asked. Soos turned around and became excited again.

"Oh, the other Mr. Pines! I keep forgetting you have a twin brother." Soos pointed his thumb over to Ford looking at Stan.

"I think Soos might have been 'settling in' for the night." Stan gestured a drinking movement to his brother, implying Soos was drunk. Ford nodded and stuck his hand out.

"Well, it's good to see you're doing well Soos." Ford said.

"Awww don't be like that. C'mere!" Soos pulled in Ford for a tight hug, making him groan in pain. "I love you guys so much. Come on in, welcome home!" Soos walked Stan and Ford into the shack with one each carrying one of his arms on their shoulders. The three got inside and put Soos on the recliner, he passed out shortly after he sat down. Stan lightly smacked Soos' face several times.

"Hey, Soos, don't knock out on me yet. Where are the twins?" Stan asked. Soos could hardly keep conscious. Ford turned from Stan to deal with a drunk Soos, heading to the vending machine to check on his lab. Ford walked down the stairs, opening the doors, he saw Wendy with a hung head, most of her body trapped within the cocoon.

"Oh my god!" Ford yelled. Stan dropped Soos and ran to his brother's lab.

"What, what's going... Whoa." Stan took in the gum-like cocoon covering Wendy. Ford went up to Wendy's face and tapped her shoulder.

"Wendy! Wendy, can you hear me?" Ford yelled. He pulled out the blaster he kept tied to his belt and shot the part of the cocoon holding Wendy's arms. She fell over into Ford's arms, Ford asked Stan to help him pull her out. The two struggled, but managed to get her out safely, and what looked like to be no harm.

"We need to take her upstairs." Ford said, carrying her unconscious body. They laid her down on the couch, light tapping her face. Wendy was in a deep sleep; she could faintly hear someone calling her name.

"Wendy... Wendy..." She heard a woman's voice. Wendy peaked into a bright light at the end of a dark tunnel. The light got bigger with every passing second. Wendy began to see a silhouette of a woman with long red hair. "You need to wake up Wendy..." The woman said. Wendy got closer to her cautiously.

"M-mom?" Wendy called out. The light overwhelmed the woman and Wendy. Wendy woke up, seeing Ford hovering over her.

"Wendy, are you alright?" Ford asked. Wendy blinked multiple times, adjusting her eyesight. She quietly groaned.

"Mabel... Dipper!" Wendy sat up quickly, Ford placed his hand on her shoulders.

"Easy, easy. Wendy, what happened here?" Ford asked.

"Where are the twins?" Wendy asked. Ford said he didn't know and explained that Stan and he had arrived about ten minutes ago. "We have to find Dipper and Mabel!"

"That's what I've been trying to do. Soos, wake up! Where are our niece and nephew?" Stan shook Soos by the collar. Soos' eyes slightly opened.

"Lazzaopaloozawa..." Soos said. Stan pushed him back onto his seat.

"It's no use, he's not even saying words at this point." Stan raised his glasses pinching the center of his nose in annoyance.

"No, that's where they are! It's a music festival!" Wendy explained.

"Then we need to get there quick, everybody get in the car." Ford instructed. The three hurried outside. Before Wendy went to the car, she saw the pile of empty Pitt-Cola cans on the front porch. She picked one up, seeing that the label was peeling off from the corner. She pulled the Pitt-Cola sticker off, revealing it was Hard Pitt-Cola, an alcoholic variant of the soda that had 14% alcohol volume.

"Wendy, what are you doing? We gotta go!" Stan yelled from the driver's door. Wendy dropped the can and hurried into the vehicle. Stan fishtailed out of the parking lot and hurried to the music festival. Wendy had caught Stan and Ford up to date about who Mendi is, and what she is capable of. Ford turned around to Wendy.

"She's a catharsis spirit." Ford said.

"A what?" She asked.

"A catharsis spirit is an entity that feeds off the relief of emotional stress or frustrations. I had read about them being very present in ancient times up to the dark ages. It wasn't until the renaissance where they began to become scarcer, as people became more enthralled with art and science, leaving them to starve to death. They're also capable of taking the body of anything that is dead. Whether it be a human, an animal, or even plants. Though, doing so puts them at risk of dying just like any normal organism." Ford turned back around facing the road.

"She was trying to use me as her next vessel. She was going to suffocate me in that thing you guys pulled me out of. Right now, she's trying to feed off Dipper's emotions, and we need to stop her before she hurts them." Wendy explained. The car came to a sudden stop. There was a long line of cars trying to enter the parking lot of the music festival.

"It'll take too long to wait in this line." Wendy said.

"Like hell we're waiting, everyone hold on tight!" Stan yelled, putting the car in reverse and began driving off road. Hitting multiple bumps on the way, Ford and Wendy stayed low protecting their heads from colliding with the car roof. Stan punched the gas approaching a chain-linked fence, bursting through as some people in the parking lot screamed while jumping out of the way. Stan parked in front of a tall arch that read 'Lazzaopaloozawa', all three stepped out of the car and ran into the music festival. Looking around at an ocean of people, Stan and Ford become slightly discouraged in finding the twins.

"This place is huge, how are we going to find them?" Ford asked.

"Hey, you three, stop right there!" Security guards dressed in bright yellow shirts and black tight jeans began charging at them.

"We'll have to split up. I'll shake off security while you two find Dipper and Mabel. Now scatter!" Stan yelled, as he took off in one direction while Wendy and Ford headed in the opposite. The security guards followed Stan, Wendy and Ford began scanning as they ran through the crowed.
Dipper, Mabel, Candy, Grenda and Mendi were waiting in a sea of people waiting for Together in the Stars to begin their set.

"Sorry that BABBA doesn't play until the third day Dipper." Mendi said. Dipper shrugged, saying he's willing to wait two more days to see one of his favorite music groups. Dipper scanned around seeing mostly girls his age getting excited to see them.

"It still rubs me the wrong way how a band of grown men create music that somehow caters very well to teenage girls." Dipper said to Mabel.

"Shhhh Dipper, I am moments away from seeing the greatest band on earth live and I just realized what if they spot me in the crowed, fall in love with me, and I ruin their entire set?" Mabel said with her hands pulling down her face. Grenda grabbed her by the shoulders.

"Mabel, listen to me, that is the risk we all took coming here tonight. Of course, Death Before Confessions didn't fall in love with me because I was too busy moshing for them to properly see my beautiful face, but I will make sure that Together in the Stars see they have the most beautiful fan in the world!" Grenda lifted Mabel onto her shoulders, matching the height of most of the adults in crowed.

"I love you Granda." Mabel told her friend.

"I know, now let's get crazy!" Grenda screamed. Mendi looked over to Dipper, who didn't look too interested in the band at all. She leaned towards his ears.

"You wanna do something else your sister goes wild?" Mendi asked him.

"What do you have in mind?" Dipper asked.

"I'll think of something." Mendi winked at Dipper. Dipper blushed, then looked over at Mabel.

"Mabel! Mendi and I are going to go see the merch table!" Dipper yelled to his sister. Mabel gave him a thumbs up and turned back to the stage. Mendi took Dipper's hand and began to lead him out of the crowd. Ford and Wendy kept running, until Wendy spotted a giant inflatable schedule showing the times for every performer and which stage they were on. Wendy scanned the list, seeing Together in the Stars is moments away from performing. Ford walked to Wendy.

"What happened?" Ford asked.

"I think know where Mabel is. Follow me!" Wendy sprinted to the crowd that was gathered for Together in the Stars. The crowd was large, Wendy instructing Ford to take one side and she would take the other. Wendy pushed through, shoving anyone she needed to, calling Mabel's name. The lights went down, and the crowd roared with applause. Wendy looked at the stage, seeing the band take their places on stage. The guitarist began playing a riff, and the drummer picked up from his tempo. Wendy kept pushing through, yelling Mabel's name. Wendy kept pushing forward, seeing a girl with a multiple flashing light on her sweater on a burly set of shoulders, she knew it was Mabel and Grenda.

"Mabel! Mabel!" Wendy yelled, placing her hand on Mabel's shoulders. Mabel turned around, pleasantly surprised to see Wendy.

"Wendy! I'm so happy you made it!" Mabel said.

"Mabel, where's Dipper?" Wendy asked. Mabel explained that he and Mendi went to the merchandise table, but Mabel believes they just wanted some alone time.

"Mabel, we have to find your brother. She's not who you think she is, and Dipper is in huge danger." Wendy said.

"What do you mean?" Mabel asked. Wendy leaned into Mabel's ear and summarized who Mendi was and what her intention with Dipper is. Mabel's eyes nearly popped out of her head.

"WHAT?!" Mabel yelled. Mabel got off Grenda's shoulders, she and Wendy ran out of the crowd to search for her brother. Mendi and Dipper had traveled to an unoccupied stage far from the Together in the Stars show. Dipper was checking his breath, making sure it didn't smell.

"Let's get to see what's behind the scenes." Mendi said. Dipper was a bit confused but agreed. The two walked behind a stage covered by a big curtain, with many equipment boxes stacked on top of each other, mic and guitar stands against them, and some band banners folded.

"Huh, so this is what the production side of concerts look like up close." Dipper took a seat on one of the equipment boxes. Mendi joined him, sitting as close to him as that evening when they saw the sunset.

"Are you having a fun time?" Mendi asked and scratched the back of Dipper's head. Dipper closed his eyes and laid into Mendi's fingers whenever she would scratch his head.

"Mm-hm." Dipper hummed to her.

"Good." Mendi pulled Dipper into her torso, making Dipper wrap his arm around her body and pressing his face against her. "You're so cute when you get like this." Mendi said in his ear, making him weaker to her. "How about we have some 'fun' before we have to get back to the others?" Mendi began rubbing her arm down Dipper's torso and near his shorts.

"Someone stop that man!" A voice yelled. both Dipper and Mendi heads poked up. Dipper looked over to the curtain and saw an elderly man running away from security. The glimpse he caught looked very familiar to him.

"Grunkle Stan?" Dipper questioned. He got up from the equipment boxes and peaked out the curtain. Sure enough, he saw his Grunkle zig zagging away from security by going through many vendor's booths. "That's my Grunkle Stan. What is he doing here?" Dipper asked.

"I'm sure it's nothing important. Now, where were we?" Mendi wrapped her arms from behind Dipper, but Dipper could only focus on his family member being chased.

"Hold on, sorry, I need to see why Stan is being chased by security." Dipper said.

"What?" Mendi asked vexed.

"It'll only be a moment." Dipper was about to step out of the curtain, until Mendi pulled him back with his shirt collar. Dipper coughed a bit until he locked eyes with Mendi.

"Come on Dipper, don't you want to spend time here with me?" Mendi seductively brushed her hand up Dipper's cheek, and began scratching his head again, making him moan.

"I-I do, but I should really see why Stan is-"

"Shhhh, don't worry about that. Just focus on me right now." Mendi whispered into his ear. Mendi pulled Dipper back and pushed him against the equipment boxes and bent down on her knees. Mendi began kissing his neck, making Dipper run wild with excitement. Mendi began to kiss his torso.

"Wh-what are you doing?" Dipper asked.

"I'm going to show you something very special." Mendi said. Putting her hands on his button shorts.

"I- I don't think I'm, hold on a second-" Before Dipper could finish his sentence, Mendi's head was struck by the end of a mic stand swung by Wendy. "Oh my god! Mendi, are you alright?" Dipper frantically asked. Wendy pushed him behind her.

"Get away from her Dipper, she's not a normal girl! She's a demon who feeds off people's emotional relief!" Mabel yelled at her brother. Mendi slowly got back up from the ground. When she turned her face, her eye was sunk into her skull, with blood running down her face and had a cleft lip on the left side of her face. Wendy stood firm with the mic stand in her hand, gritting her teeth.

"I told you, if you put a finger on him, I'd kill you." Wendy said. Mendi stood on her feet, beginning to chuckle, which slowly turned into a cackle. The three saw Mendi's face regenerate from Wendy's swing, returning to normal in seconds.

"Holy shit." Dipper said, witnessing the monster in front of him. Grunkle Stan ran past the curtain, only one security guard was chasing him at this point.

"Geez, you'd think they'd give up at this point." Stan said to himself as he kept running from the security guard. The guard stopped after Stan passed Mendi and looked at her.

"Hey, you kids aren't authorized to be back he-" Mendi grew sharp red claws from her fingertips and stabbed her middle and ring finger into the security guard's eyes, poking out the back of his head. The guard dropped to his knees, while Mendi inhaled the red aura from his body. Mendi pulled her fingers out and strewed the blood from her hand onto the floor. Mendi looked over to Wendy, Dipper and Mabel.

"You know, I put a lot of effort planning how I would kill all of you, but in hindsight, I was overthinking it." Mendi's forearm crystalized into the same material her fingertips created, making beast-like claws. "I should've just walked into that rundown shack and murdered anyone in the building." Mendi began to charge at Wendy. Wendy swinged the mic stand. Mendi blocked it with her armored forearm and ripped it away from Wendy's grip. Mendi threw it behind her, winding up her arm ready to stab straight into Wendy's head. Mabel threw boxes to Mendi's head, she snarled at her as Wendy reached for another weapon. She grabbed the neck of an electric guitar and swinged it upward. Mendi narrowly dodged it and stepped back. Wendy swinged vertically downward. Micah grabbed it by its body and kicked Wendy's torso. Micah threw the guitar at Mabel, who jumped out of the way onto the ground. Wendy was on her back, she tried to get back on her feet, but Mendi put her foot on her neck. Wendy began choking, trying to move Mendi's foot away. Stan ran up and grabbed her, lifting her up from Wendy with a tight grip.

"Gotcha!"

"No! Grunkle Stan, get away from her!" Dipper yelled. Mendi buried her claws into Stan's hip, making him yell. He released her and kicked her away. Stan started applying pressure onto his stab wounds. Mendi turned to him and walked towards him.

"So, you're Grunkle Stan. Mabel told me about you during work. How you're a pretty good guy to your family, but also a very selfish person to everyone else." Mendi lifted her hand and expanded her claws. "I'm sure I could reap a lot of food from you, Stan." Stan began to walk back slowly, till his back was against an electrical control panel. Mendi wind up her arm and attacked. Stan ducked, barely missing being lobotomized. Mendi stabbed into the control panel, shutting down the power of the whole music festival. There were loud gasps coming from all over Lazzaopaloozawa. Everything became pitch black, until backup generators activated moments later. They lit dim light poles around the festival, making it somewhat visible for everyone to see where they're going. Mendi searched the ground around her for Stan.

"Where'd he go?" She searched behind her.

"Over here, psycho!" Stan yelled. Mendi saw Stan stand atop a pile of black equipment boxes. "Now!" Stan yelled. Dipper, Mabel, and Wendy began pushing heavy boxes over Mendi's head. Mendi dived out of the way just in time to avoid being crushed. "Dammit..." Stan said under his breath. The three met up with Stan atop the boxes, seeing Mendi had dodged their trap. Mendi stood up and dusted her sleeves.

"Dirty move, but not as dirty as I'll be after I rip you limb from limb." Mendi stared at the four. A loud 'Hoot' roared from the sky. Everyone looked up, seeing two large orange orbs hover above them. When the orbs grew larger, everyone could see they were the eyes of a large, winged animal. A massive owl dived and landed right in front of Mendi. The landing shook the ground, causing the boxes Stan and the others were standing on to fall over. The owl stood tall, being roughly fifteen to seventeen feet in height. It had a mixture of brown, white, black, and gray feathers, looking like a horned owl. The beast had a thousand-yard stare directed at Mendi. The eyes emitted a light in its orange iris, while the rest of the eyes were a bright, almost blinding white. Mendi stepped back, trying not to make any sudden movements. The owl looked to its side, seeing the security guard's corpse on the floor. The owl grabbed it with its beak and began eating his body whole. Making everyone nearly petrified and nauseous. After swallowing him, the owl stared at Mendi with its orange hue iris eyes, slowly stepping towards her and the others. Dipper slowly pulled out a disposable camera from his pocket and took a picture of the owl with the flash, stunning them.

"Run!" Stan yelled. Everyone ran past the owl as it was blinded. The owl let out a huge cry, swinging its head around. Mendi hesitated before following them, allowing Wendy to knock over boxes and throw mic stands at her to slow her down. The owl regained its eyesight and turned its head 180 degrees, it charged fiercely at them making the ground shake with every step. The exit was blocked off from fallen debris caused from the owl's impact.

"It's a dead end!" Mabel cried. Dipper looked around and saw there was a crawl space under the stage.

"There!" Dipper pointed. Mabel, Dipper and Stan all crawled into cramped space. Wendy saw the exit was blocked, and frantically searched for an escape route.

"Wendy!" Dipper called. She saw him under the stage, Wendy quickly crouched down and followed her friend. Until Mendi grabbed Wendy's ankle and tried to drag her back out. Wendy turned back and saw the owl had Mendi's leg in its beak. Wendy screamed, Dipper turned around and grabbed her hand. Mabel and Stan helped him pull, but the strength of the owl was able to slowly pull all of them.

"Let go of me!" Wendy yelled, using her other leg to kick Mendi's face in. Mendi was persistent, not loosening her grip at all. Mendi grabbed her leg with her other arm. After a small struggle, the owl pulled all of them out from under the stage, causing Mendi to lose her grip. Mendi was the only one who went flying up in the air, right above the owl's beak. The owl jumped up, and grabbed Mendi by the torso, making her cry a very painful scream. Mendi could feel her ribs being crushed, and her lungs being punctured. Blood began to escape from her mouth. Mendi's eyes turned dark red and stared directly at Wendy before the owl ripped her body in half. Stan pulled in Dipper and Mabel to his body, covering their eyes. The owl didn't eat at Mendi's separate body whole but picked her limbs apart before swallowing them. The owl ripped off her left arm from her body. Mendi was still letting out thunderous cries of pain. She turned her head and spotted Wendy seeing her being torn apart. Mendi reached out her still attached arm, using what energy she had left creating a crystallized thorn shooting straight at Wendy. Wendy moved her head, cutting her cheek. The owl grabbed the arm she used to attack and ripped it off her body. The owl dropped that arm, then put her head between its beaks. The owl pulled up, ripping off Mendi's head. Seeing the bump of the owl's neck go down into its stomach made everyone ad nauseam. The owl then turned its attention back to Wendy and the others, it slowly walked up to them.

"Stan, get back under the stage with Dipper and Mabel. I'll keep this thing distracted." Wendy instructed.

"Are you crazy? That thing is going to-"

"Now!" Wendy yelled at Stan, he nodded and pushed Mabel and Dipper to go under the stage.

"Grunkle Stan we can't just leave her!" Mabel cried trying to claw away from his grip.

"It's okay Mabel, it's Wendy. She'll be fine." Stan turned to her from under the stage. "I hope..." He said under his breath. Wendy grabbed a mic stand from the floor and stood firmly against the owl. She grits her teeth as the owl leans its face towards Wendy. She could see her reflection in the eyes of the massive beast and smell Mendi's blood that was stained on its beak. Wendy looked for any sudden movements for her to counter or escape from them. The owl tilts its head to the side before standing up straight again. The owl turned around and began running before taking flight into the night sky. Wendy's adrenaline was rushing in her veins as she dropped her weapon and fell on her butt, taking multiple deep breaths. Dipper, Mabel, and Stan crawled out from under the stage.

"Oh my god, Wendy! Are you alright?" Dipper kneeled to her. Wendy's heart was racing. Unable to speak, she nodded to Dipper. Behind them, Grunkle Ford had moved enough debris for them to walk out from behind the stage. Wendy tried to stand up but collapsed when she attempted. The pull on her leg has sprained her slightly. Grunkle Ford took his jacket off and used it to tie Stan's wounds. Ford offered to help Stan up but was able to stand on his own fairly easily. Grunkle Stan put Wendy's arm over his shoulder and helped her walk. She looked down at his hip, covered in blood.

"Shouldn't you take it easy? She did get you pretty bad." Wendy asked, Stan scoffed.

"Please, I've been in worse shape from the adventures Ford and I went on this past year. This is nothing. Besides, after what you did today for my family, it's the least I could do." Stan smiled at her.

"Is everyone alright? I just saw a giant bird fly away." Ford asked. Dipper nodded.

"We're all okay thanks to Wendy." Dipper turned and smiled at her.

"Yeah! She was amazing Grunkle Ford! She looked that giant bird dead in the face ready to rumble before it flew away!" Mabel gave her a toothy grin. Wendy chuckled as the group maneuvered their way to the front gate of the festival. Grenda and Candy ran to them.

"Oh my god, Mabel, you missed it! Since the power went out in the middle of Together in the Star's set, they had backup generators with enough power to plug in their electric acoustic guitars and we got see an acoustic show!" Grenda had a wide smile on her face.

"It was... Words cannot describe its beauty..." Candy help back tears, pushing a fist against her lips. Mabel shrugged.

"Hey, there will be other opportunities to see them. Right now, I'm just happy everyone is safe... Well, everyone who I care about not being bird food is safe." Mabel clarified. Grenda and Candy were lost in Mabel's last sentence.

"Hey, Wendy, do you know why the owl didn't try to eat you?" Dipper asked. Wendy shook her head.

"No idea. I'm just happy it left when it did. What matters is that we're okay. That you're okay." Wendy's soft smile made Dipper blush. Grunkle Stan suggested to head back to the Mystery Shack, especially before his car gets towed.

"Dibs on driving the kart home!" Mabel shot her hand above her head. Dipper looked back at the festival entrance.

"Uh..." Dipper turned to his sister. "I think Mendi had the keys..."

"Hmmm... Grunkle Stan, do you think you can hot-wire a golf kart?" Mabel asked. Stan said he's confident he could hot-wire anything. As everyone began walking back to the car, Ford couldn't help but think what Mabel said of the giant owl leaving Wendy unharmed. He looked up at the near full moon, pondering why it didn't attack.
