Pop's Girlfriend
One day at Dakota Union High, Ruby and Allie were in the hallway as Ruby was telling Allie about Robert meeting another woman and going out for dinner tonight along with getting dressed. Robert has often felt sad about his brother and wife's death for years. But after meeting a woman named Trina. He started to fall in love with her and they started dating as it started to make him feel happy. Ruby was happy for her uncle that he finally found someone who made him happy like Jean did and she supports his relationship with Trina.
"When Uncle Robert came home last night, he was walking on air." Ruby explained with a smile as she opened her locker and put her book in her locker while looking at Allie, who was standing next to her right.
"I've never seen him this happy before Aunt Jean died." Ruby said with a smile as she closed her locker while still looking at Allie.
"Wow. Nice to know that he's finally dating someone." Allie said with a smile.
"Do you think he's serious about this woman, Trina?" Allie asked.
"Sure sounds like it. In fact, he wanted me to wear a dress and heels for dinner tonight." Ruby said.
"But as long as Uncle Robert is happy, so am I." Ruby said with a smile as she turned around and was about to walk away before she bumped into someone's backpack that was in front of her.
It revealed Royce Axelrod who was standing in front of Ruby with his back facing her. He turned around to look at Ruby with a stern expression as his best friend, Frankie D'Amico stood next to him.
"Sorry, Royce. I didn't see you." Ruby said as she put her hands close to her chest while looking at Royce.
"Watch where you're going, girly." Royce said rudely as he looked at Ruby.
"I said I was sorry." Ruby said with a frown as she looked at Royce.
"Oh, you wanna throw, huh?" Royce asked as he got close to Ruby's face and glared at her with Ruby glaring at him back.
Ruby and Royce glared at each other for a few seconds, until they heard Frankie.
"Ahem, Royce." Frankie said nervously as Royce looked at Frankie.
Frankie motioned his eyes and jerked his thumb behind him to point at the Principal looking at them sternly with his arms crossed and a raised eyebrow. After looking at the Principal, Royce turned back to look at Ruby.
"You just caught a break, Ruby." Royce said sternly as he poked Ruby's chest before walking away while looking at Ruby.
"I could see how this would turn out in the yearbook, 'Royce Axelrod, most likely to be sent upstate.'" Allie said as she glared at Royce.
"Tell me about it. He's just as bad as Aron." Ruby said with a frown as she and Allie watched Royce leave.
Royce Axelrod was known for engaging in petty theft like shoplifting. While Frankie was not as keen on petty crimes as Royce. Frankie wished he could be stronger against his friend, but remained pretty much a walkover. This reminded Ruby of Aron and Dwayne since Aron did thievery like Royce and Dwayne didn't have the courage to stand up against his stepbrother like Frankie couldn't stand up to Royce.
A few hours later, Static was in the phone booth, talking to Robert while Magnetta was standing outside as she waited for Static.
'You and Ruby have known for over a week that Trina's coming over, Virgil, and while Ruby's room is all cleaned, your room's still a mess.' Robert said through the phone.
"Come on, pops. My room's clean." Static said on the phone.
However, it was a lie as Robert was inside Virgil's room and it was an absolute mess.
"Virgil, I'm standing in it." Robert said on the phone as he looked at Virgil's messy room.
"Ooh." Static said as Magnetta listened to the whole conversation.
'Virgil really needs to remember to clean his room like I do.' Magnetta thought.
"Okay. Okay. I'm on my way." Static said on the phone as he hung up and turned around.
Static opened the door and walked outside the phone booth as he looked down with his hand behind his back while two people next to his left looked at him.
"What..." Static asked as he took out his Static Saucer and looked at the two people.
"...a superhero can't use a pay phone?" Static asked as he unfolded his Static Saucer, dropped it, and let it levitate a few inches off the ground before he got on his Static Saucer and flew away with Magnetta flying after him.
Static and Magnetta were flying high in the sky as Static left a purple electric trail from his Static Saucer.
"Gotta find a place to change." Static said as he and Magnetta flew away.
However, they were unaware that they flew past Royce and Frankie who were in an alleyway with Royce holding a grey briefcase. Royce placed the briefcase close to his ear and shook it to try and hear what was inside.
"What's in there?" Frankie asked as Royce put the briefcase on a trash can.
"Let's pop the top and find out." Royce said as he took out a screwdriver.
Royce placed the screwdriver through the lid and managed to get it open as a purple glow came out from the opening. Royce and Frankie looked at each other with smiles on their faces before looking at the briefcase as Royce opened it all the way with purple gas coming out and a purple glow shining on Royce and Frankie.
"Whoa." Royce said in amazement as he looked at Frankie with his jaw dropped.
"Holy Cannoli." Frank said in amazement as he looked at the briefcase with a smile before Royce turned back to look at the opened briefcase.
"Yeah. What you said." Royce said.
It revealed six beakers of purple liquid, which was actually a liquid of the Bang Baby Gas.
"What's this purple stuff?" Frankie asked as he looked at the six beakers of Bang Baby liquid.
"Don't know, but I bet we can turn it into green." Royce said.
"Know what I'm sayin', Frankie?" Royce said as he and Frankie looked at each other with a smirk on their faces.
As soon as he finished his sentence, they heard a police radio nearby.
"Hey..." Royce said with a scared look on his face as he looked back up and closed the briefcase before Frankie looked where Royce was looking with his jaw dropped.
"...gotta blow." Royce said as he grabbed the briefcase and ran toward a dumpster with Frankie running after him.
Royce and Frankie hid behind the dumpster as a police car drove by. Inside the police car was a tanned man with black hair and an African American woman with purple hair tied into a ponytail as the policeman was driving the police car while the policewoman was in the passenger seat. The policewoman looked at the alleyway before turning away as the police car drove away. After a few seconds, Royce and Frankie peeked out of their hiding place to see if the police car was gone.
"They're gone, and so are we." Royce said with a smirk as he and Frankie ran away with the briefcase.
The police car kept driving through the alleyway.
"We've been up and down these alleys, Jessup. Nothing." Kim said as he looked at Trina before she turned her head to look through the window.
After a few seconds, Kim looked back at the road.
"Jessup?" Kim asked as he looked at Trina.
Virgil and Ruby were seen walking through an alleyway before they stopped and put their superhero costumes in their backpacks. They closed their backpacks and put them on their backs with Virgil holding one strap of his backpack on his shoulder while Ruby was holding both straps of her backpack on her shoulders, and walked away as Trina saw the two kids.
"They both got backpacks." Trina said as the police sirens started wailing.
Virgil and Ruby kept on walking until they stopped when the police car stopped in front of them as the police siren stopped wailing with Trina and Kim getting out of the police car.
"Excuse me, kids." Trina said as she walked toward Virgil and Ruby before she stopped and stood in front of them.
"What are you doing here?" Trina asked sternly with her arms crossed as she looked at Virgil and Ruby while Kim walked toward Trina before he stopped, stood next to her, and looked at the two kids with a stern expression.
"We were just taking a shortcut back home." Ruby answered calmly as she looked at the two police officers.
Ruby's parents told her to always stay calm when talking to the police. She was also told to confess if they asked her any questions.
Trina and Kim looked at Virgil and Ruby with stern expressions before they looked at each other.
"Mind if we take a look inside your backpacks?" Kim asked as he looked at Virgil and Ruby and took a few steps in front of them while holding his hand out.
While Ruby was calm about that question, Virgil panicked.
"What? What? We didn't do anything!" Virgil said in a panicked tone as he backed away a little, took off his backpack while holding onto it by one of the straps, and held out his other hand.
"No one said you did, it's just a precaution." Trina said as she walked toward Virgil and Ruby.
"If you say so, officer." Ruby said as she was willing to cooperate.
However, Virgil had other plans.
"A precaution, huh?" Virgil asked as he looked down for a second before he saw a stack of metallic boxes on a shelf behind Kim and Trina.
"Um, well..." Virgil said as he looked at Trina and Kim while holding out his finger and fired a purple electric bolt at the three metallic boxes.
The three metallic boxes were surrounded in a purple electric aura as they floated off the shelf and flew toward Virgil before he undid his powers which caused the three metallic boxes to drop on the ground, causing a loud bang.
"Huh?" Trina wondered.
"What the..." Kim wondered as he and Trina turned around to look at the fallen metallic boxes behind them.
Seeing that they were distracted, Virgil turned around and ran away as Ruby saw him leaving.
"Hey!" Trina yelled as she, Kim, and Ruby looked at Virgil and ran after him.
"Stop!" Trina yelled as Virgil ran toward a building to his right.
"Cousin, come back!" Ruby yelled as she, Trina, and Kim kept following Virgil.
Virgil ran through an alleyway and turned left through another alleyway that had a wooden fence. Ruby and Trina stopped as they watched Virgil run past the wooden fence and disappear into the alleyway.
"Hey, kid, get back here!" Trina yelled angrily as she held her fist close to her cheek while Kim stopped and stood in front of Trina.
Trina and Kim looked at each other while Ruby looked at where Virgil disappeared with a surprised expression.
'I can't believe he just did that! If Uncle Robert finds out, he's gonna be in big trouble.' Ruby thought.
"So, that was your cousin?" Trina asked as she looked at Ruby.
"Yes, he is." Ruby said as she turned around to look at Trina.
"Since you're still here, mind if we look inside your backpack?" Kim said as he looked at Ruby and held out his hand.
"Sure, go ahead." Ruby said as she took off her backpack and held it in front of Kim with her hand on one of the straps.
Kim grabbed Ruby's backpack, opened it, and looked inside Ruby's backpack. All he saw was Ruby's superhero costume and her school books. Thankfully, Kim didn't say anything about Ruby's costume.
"She doesn't have it." Kim said as he looked at Trina.
"Sorry for the inconvenience, kid." Trina said as she looked at Ruby.
"It's okay, officer." Ruby said.
"Here's your backpack." Kim said as he held Ruby's backpack in front of her.
"Thanks." Ruby said with a smile as she grabbed her backpack.
"Have a safe trip home." Trina said as she waved goodbye before she and Kim turned around and walked away.
"I will. Bye." Ruby said as she waved goodbye and watched the police officers leave before she put on her backpack and walked away.
A few hours later, Ruby was in her room wearing her red sleeveless dress that went down to her mid-thighs as she put her hand on the wall close to her door and was putting on her white high heels. She put on one high heel on her foot and was adjusting it on her foot when she heard Robert.
"Ruby, are you almost ready?" Robert asked through the door as Ruby looked at the door while taking her hand off the wall.
"Yes, Uncle Robert! I just need to put my shoes on!" Ruby yelled from her room as she grabbed her other high heel on the floor.
Ruby bent her leg up behind her and placed her other high heel on her foot before putting her foot down.
"There." Ruby said with a smile as she looked at the white high heels on her feet.
Virgi and Ruby walked downstairs as they saw Sharon sitting on the couch in her green sleeveless dress and black high heels with a frown on her face and her arms crossed. They walked toward the couch and looked at Sharon as Virgil leaned his arms on the couch.
"Buck up sis. At least we're going out to dinner. You can burn our grub tomorrow." Virgil said with a smile.
"Not now, Virgil." Sharon said with a frown as Virgil and Ruby looked at her with frowns on their faces.
"Is something wrong?" Ruby asked in concern.
"Don't you guys care that Dad's acting all weird lately?" Sharon asked as she looked at Virgil and Ruby.
"This Trina woman's turning things upside-down around here. The man's singing Motown!" Sharon yelled angrily.
"Come on, if this lady makes pops happy, I say that's a good thing." Virgil said with a smile.
"I agree. If Uncle Robert's happy, I'm happy." Ruby said with a smile.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang as Virgil and Ruby looked up to see the door.
"Oh, boy, must be Trina. She's off work early." Robert said as he walked downstairs with a smile and looked at Virgil, Sharon, and Ruby before turning his head back and walking toward the door.
"What does she do anyway?" Virgil asked as he and Ruby walked next to the stairs before they stopped.
"She's a cop." Sharon said with a frown as she walked toward the door with Virgil and Ruby watching her leave.
"That's good to hear." Ruby said with a smile as she liked how Robert's girlfriend was a police officer.
Robert opened the door to see Trina standing in front of him as was wearing a pink long-sleeved shirt that revealed her cleavage, a purple skirt that went down to her knees, and purple high heels with her hair flowing freely down to her shoulders.
"Hi, honey." Robert said with a smile.
"Hello, Robert." Trina said as she and Robert hugged each other.
"Let me introduce you to my kids." Robert said with a smile as he and Trina let go of each other and stood a few feet back while leaving the door open, letting Trina walk inside before he closed the door.
"Sharon, this is Trina." Robert said as Sharon walked toward Trina with a frown on her face while shaking Trina's hand before walking away.
"This is my son, Virgil. And this is my niece, Ruby." Robert said as Virgil and Ruby walked toward Trina before they stopped and gasped in shock at seeing Trina again.
Trina looked at Virgil and Ruby with a stern expression as she remembered them back at the alleyway a few hours ago.
"I believe we've already met." Trina said sternly.
Robert turned his head to look at Virgil and Ruby with a stern expression as Virgil facepalmed while Ruby shrugged her shoulders up and looked at Robert with a nervous expression.
A few minutes later, Virgil, Ruby, and Robert were upstairs with their shadows seen through the hall. Robert stood in front of Virgil with Ruby standing behind her uncle. Virgil was looking down at the ground and Robert looked at him with an angry expression while Ruby looked at both Virgil and Robert with a scared expression. Trina said that she met Virgil and Ruby at an alleyway and asked them to look inside their backpacks. She said that Ruby cooperated, while Virgil ran away from her. Robert asked Virgil if it was true and he said yes as this made Robert mad.
"Running away from the police?! Now, I know I've raised you better than that, Virgil!" Robert yelled angrily as Ruby cringed from behind his back.
"What you did was not only stupid and dangerous, but completely inexcusable!" Robert yelled angrily as Trina and Sharon were sitting on the couch hearing Robert yelling at Virgil.
"But dad-" Virgil tried to explain but was interrupted by Robert.
"Get in your room right now!" Robert yelled as he slammed the door.
After a few seconds, Trina moved her eyes to look at Sharon.
"So, your father tells me you love college." Trina said with a smile as she turned her head to look at Sharon.
"It's okay." Sharon said with a frown as she laid her cheek on her fist and her eyes squinted.
"Such an exciting time." Trina said with a smile as she held her hand close to her shoulder.
"I guess." Sharon said as Trina turned her head back with her eyes closed.
"Look at me!" Robert yelled from Virgil's room, surprising Sharon and Trina as they looked up with surprised expressions.
"Just tell me why you did it?" Robert asked angrily as Virgil sat on his bed while Ruby stood outside of Virgil's room.
"I-I don't know. I just got scared, that's all." Virgil said as he looked away while fiddling his fingers on his bed with Robert looking at Virgil with his hands on his hips.
"That's not acceptable! Your backpack, I wanna see it, now!" Robert yelled angrily as he held out his hand.
However, Virgil just looked at Robert for a second before he looked away with his eyes squinted and a frown on his face, which made Robert angrier.
"You wanna make it even harder on yourself? Fine." Robert said angrily as he walked toward Virgil's closet.
"Pop's, don't..." Virgil warned as he held out his hand but was interrupted when Robert turned around and glared at him.
Robert turned back as Virgil covered his eyes. Robert opened Virgil's closet and all of his stuff fell down on Robert, making Virgil and Ruby cringe. Robert looked at the pile of Virgil's stuff with an angry expression while Virgil and Ruby looked at Robert with sad expressions as one of Virgil's socks was on Robert's shoulder. Robert clenched his teeth and closed his eyes for a second before he opened his eyes and grabbed the sock off his shoulder. Robert turned around to face Virgil with an angry expression as he adjusted his glasses.
"I'm gonna go cool off." Robert said with his eyes closed.
"You're beyond grounded!" Robert yelled angrily as he pointed his finger at Virgil.
"School, home, that's it!" Robert yelled as he walked out of the room while looking at Virgil.
"And clean up this room!" Robert yelled as he pointed his finger at Virgil and slammed the door.
Ruby looked at Robert with a scared expression before she calmed down and she put her hand on Robert's shoulder.
"Listen, Uncle Robert. I tried to stop Virgil, but he got away before I could stop him. I couldn't just run after him since I knew I'd be running away from Trina and her partner." Ruby explained as she looked at Robert.
"Don't worry, Ruby, I believe you." Robert said as he turned around to look at Ruby.
"I know you wouldn't do something as stupid as that. I'm proud to know that my brother has raised you well." Robert said with a smile.
"Thanks." Ruby said with a smile as Robert walked downstairs with Ruby watching him leave before she looked at Virgil's room with a frown on her face.
'Poor, Virgil. If only he just cooperated and let me explain about our superhero costumes in our backpacks.' Ruby thought sadly.
The next day at Dakota Union High, Virgil, Ruby, Richie, Allie, and the other kids were walking toward the school as Virgil and Ruby explained what happened yesterday.
"I've never been on a lockdown this severe, Rich. He even made me cut out after-school activities." Virgil said to Richie.
"That doesn't sound good." Allie said with a frown as she looked at Virgil.
"Aw, man! Does he know we have talent show rehearsal tonight?" Richie asked as he looked at Virgil.
"Not the activity I was talking about." Virgil said as he and Richie looked at each other with him, Richie, Ruby, and Allie walking up the stairs.
"My other late-night gig." Virgil said.
"The bad guys are gonna run buck wild and Static and Magnetta can't do anything to stop 'em." Virgil explained as he, Richie, Ruby, and Allie walked through the hallway while they passed Royce and Frankie at the lockers.
"Ah. Yeah, I guess that's bad too." Richie said.
"Don't worry, Virgil. I can contact the Ulti-Meta Gang and Miss Appear to help deal with those bad guys for us until you're ungrounded." Ruby said as she turned her head to look at her cousin.
Royce opened his locker, grabbed the briefcase with the Bang Baby liquid out of his backpack, and put it in his locker before he opened the briefcase, took half of the beakers, and closed the briefcase. He closed his locker and walked toward Frankie's locker, which was a few lockers away from Royce's locker as he opened it, and put the three beakers inside.
"You think it's safe to stash them here?" Frankie asked in fear as he looked back to see if anyone was watching them.
"Shut it, Frankie. You know I can't keep it at home." Royce said as he looked at Frankie before closing Frankie's locker, turned around, and leaned his back on the lockers.
"Ever since that shoplifting thing, my mom's been on the lookout for stuff that don't belong to me. And if they do find it in my locker, at least half the beakers would be safe in yours since no one would suspect that you have it." Royce explained as he pulled up his backpack before he and Frankie walked away.
"Besides, I found these papers inside." Royce said as he showed Frankie some papers in his hand.
"Some code about the purple stuff." Royce said as he looked at the papers.
"And guess who's staying after school to study it?" Royce asked as he looked at Frankie before he shoved the papers on Frankie's chest.
"Gee, I haven't a clue." Frankie said sarcastically as he held onto the papers while looking at Royce with a frown.
A few hours later, Virgil, Ruby, Richie, and Allie were walking on the sidewalk.
"Did you hear? Ruby, Allie, Frieda, and Daisy are gonna do karaoke at the talent show to Destiny's Child." Richie said as he looked at Virgil.
"Yeah, Ruby told me." Virgil said.
After Ruby and Allie first met, they started to sing together with Ruby's mom as she taught them how to perform on stage and even taught Allie some dance moves. And when they met Frieda at Elementary School, they formed an all-girls band as they would perform on stage, singing and dancing. Sometimes they would even play instruments while singing. They also decided to recruit Daisy as they saw that she had potential. Allie, Frieda, and Daisy were good singers and had beautiful singing voices. They also had lessons on their instruments with Frieda and Daisy learning some dance moves. Ruby would play a keytar, Allie and Frieda would both play guitars, and Daisy chose to play a tambourine.
"I'm so excited! Me, Allie, and the girls have been practicing for weeks for this." Ruby said with a smile.
"I can hardly wait." Allie said with a smile.
"By the way, who are you girls getting for the fifth singer?" Virgil asked as he looked at Ruby.
"Me me-me-me-me!" Richie said in a singing tone with his head up, his eyes closed, and his hand on his chest while Virgil, Ruby, and Allie looked at him.
After Richie stopped harmonizing, he opened his eyes and put his hand down as he started laughing.
"I'm surprised that you actually let Richie join you and your girl group for karaoke, Ruby." Virgil said as he looked at Ruby.
"I know. But since you dropped out, he had to hook up with someone. So, me and the girls decided to have him join our group." Ruby explained as she looked at Virgil.
"But, remember Richie. This doesn't mean that you're officially a member since it's an all-girls band. And you're only joining our band just this once." Ruby said in a warning tone as she looked at Richie with a stern expression while pointing her finger at Richie.
"Got it. And don't worry, I'm okay with it. I'll just stick with Virgil for when we do another singing show." Richie said as he looked at Ruby with his hands up before she put her hand down while Richie put his hands down too.
"Uh-oh." Virgil said as he, Richie, Ruby, and Allie turned their heads to see a police car driving next to them on the street.
Virgil, Ruby, Richie, and Allie stopped along with the police car as the window rolled down to reveal Trina in her police officer uniform.
"Ruby and I are on our way home, Officer Jessup, honest." Virgil said as he held out his hand.
"I just wanna talk, Virgil and Ruby." Trina said as she looked at Virgil and Ruby with her arm on top of the rolled-down door with Virgil and Ruby leaning down to look at her.
"You were there last night. My pops told me to go straight home." Virgil said as he jerked his thumb behind his back while looking at his left to where he was pointing.
"I cleared this with your father, okay?" Trina said sternly.
"Okay, Officer Jessup." Ruby said as she and Virgil walked around the police car and toward the passenger seat.
Virgil and Ruby took off their backpacks and got inside with Virgil looking out the window with a frown while Ruby held onto her backpack in her lap as they drove off with Richie and Allie watching them leave. Richie was rubbing the back of his head with a nervous expression while Allie waved goodbye with a nervous expression.
A few hours later, Virgil, Ruby, and Trina stopped at Burger Fool as Virgil and Ruby were sitting on a long chair with Ruby sitting close to the window. Meanwhile, Trina walked toward them with a tray of drinks as she sat down at the other long chair close to Virgil and Ruby. On the tray was a cup of coffee with steam rising up in the air while there were two cups that were taller and had straws. Trina handed Virgil the first drink before she gave the other drink to Ruby as they each took the two drinks. After grabbing their drinks, Virgil and Ruby looked to their left and saw everybody staring at them since they were sitting with a police officer.
"And I thought last night was awkward." Virgil said with a frown as he leaned back.
"Guess we look like quite an odd trio, huh?" Trina asked with her hand holding onto the cup of coffee.
"Slightly." Virgil said as Trina drank her coffee while he and Ruby looked at her before she stopped and put her cup down.
"Well, forget about them right now. I need to talk about why we stopped you." Trina said as she put her finger on the table before she turned her head to look at her right.
"What I'm about to tell you two is not for broadcast, okay?" Trina asked as she turned her head back to look at Virgil and Ruby.
"Don't worry, Officer Jessup. We won't tell anyone." Ruby said.
"Thanks, Ruby." Trina said.
"You guys know what the Big Bang is, right?" Trina asked as Virgil and Ruby took a sip of their drinks before they stopped.
"I heard about it, yeah." Virgil said as he put his drink down.
"Me too. It was what turned everyone at the docks into metahumans." Ruby answered as she put her cup down.
"Well, two kids about your age stole a metal case which contains the Big Bang formula in a highly concentrated liquid. The case was being delivered to scientists for study." Trina explained as Virgil and Ruby kept drinking before they stopped and put their cups down.
"I've got 24 hours to find it." Trina said.
"That's 3 o'clock tomorrow." Virgil said as Trina drank her cup of coffee.
"What happens if you don't find it?" Virgil asked as Trina finished her drink and put it down.
"It's combustible. The liquid will turn into gas." Trina answered.
"More Bang Baby's?" Virgil guessed.
"Double the mutations...at least." Trina answered as Virgil and Ruby drank their drinks before putting their cups down.
"Whoa." Virgil said in shock.
"That doesn't sound good. If what you say is true? And if there are any people around the area where the Big Bang formula is before it turns into gas and explodes, it could mean more Bang Baby's that are double mutated terrorizing Dakota." Ruby explained with a hint of fear.
"Exactly." Trina said.
"Virgil, Ruby, if there's anything you know, anything at all." Trina said as she put her hand on Virgil's hand with him and Ruby looking at Trina's hand before they looked at her.
"Wait a sec." Virgil said as he pulled his hand away from Trina.
"You still think I had something to do with this?" Virgil asked with a hint of anger as he looked at Trina while Ruby looked at him.
"You were in that part of town. You fit the description. And your cousin is out of the list since she didn't have the case in her backpack." Trina explained.
"I told you I'm innocent." Virgil said as he let go of his drink and put his hands on his chest with Ruby looking at him with a frown.
"I had nothing to do with it! Why won't you believe me?!" Virgil yelled angrily as he got up from his seat, put his hands on the table, and glared at Trina.
However, he saw everyone staring at him in shock as he sat back down.
"You ran away from me, Virgil. What am I supposed to think?" Trina asked with a hint of anger as Virgil glared at her with his fists on the table.
"Can we go now?" Virgil asked with a frown as he pushed his cup aside.
"If you want." Trina said as she put her hand in a pocket on her shirt and took out a card.
"Just take my card." Trina said as she held out the card to Virgil.
"I insist." Trina said as Virgil looked at her with a frown before he took the card and got up.
Virgil grabbed his backpack and put it around his shoulder while holding one of the straps as he walked away angrily. Trina and Ruby watched them with sad expressions.
"I'm really sorry about Virgil, he gets grumpy sometimes." Ruby said as she looked at Trina.
"I understand. Just remember, if you find out where the Big Bang formula is, call me." Trina said as she looked at Ruby.
"Don't worry, I'll call you as soon as I see it." Ruby said.
"Thank you. Now, I think you should go catch up with your cousin." Trina said.
"Yeah, I should." Ruby said as she grabbed her backpack and got up.
"Bye." Ruby said with a smile as she waved goodbye before she put on her backpack and walked away.
Trina watched Ruby leave with a smile as she was happy to see that Ruby was not bothered with her like Virgil and Sharon.
Back at Dakota Union High, Royce and Frankie were inside the Computer Lab studying the Big Bang formula with Frankie typing on the computer while Royce was standing behind him, looking at the papers.
"Look at it, Frankie, my man." Royce said as he looked at Frankie while Frankie turned his eyes to look at Royce.
"Same lab, same research team, same compounds." Royce said with a smirk as he looked back at the papers and pointed his finger at them while Frankie turned his eyes back to look at the computer and continued typing.
Royce laughed with a smile on his face as he walked away.
"It's the mother lode." Royce said as he walked toward a table with the open briefcase of the six beakers of the Big Bang formula.
Royce grabbed one of the beakers and held it in front of him.
"We got ourselves Big Bang superjuice." Royce said with a smirk as he looked at the beaker.
While Royce was happy that they discovered the Big Bang formula, Frankie was hesitant.
"I-I don't know about this, Royce." Frankie said as he turned his head to look at Royce with his hand close to his chest.
Royce looked at Frankie with a frown on his face.
"What are you talking about?" Royce asked with a smile as Frankie stood up from the chair.
"It's the stuff, man." Royce said as he held his other hand close to the beaker.
"Remember what it did to F-Stop, KC, and Wade's three loyal members?" Royce asked with a smirk as he looked at the beaker.
"Think of the powers it'll give us." Royce said as he grabbed the cork and took it off before he held the beaker close to his nose and took a big sniff of the liquid with his eyes closed.
"Royce!" Frankie yelled in fear as he ran toward Royce and tried to snatch the beaker.
"Hey, back off, jerk!" Royce yelled as he leaned the beaker back and ended up spilling a few drops of the Big Bang formula.
"Royce, come on!" Frankie yelled as the drops landed in the trash can and covered some crumpled papers in four purple spots of the Big Bang formula.
Frankie stood in front of Royce as he looked at Frankie for a second before he put the cork back on the beaker. However, as soon as he closed the beaker, they heard the doorknob moving as they got company.
"Hello! Somebody in there?" A male teacher asked through the door as Royce turned around to look at the door.
"Open up!" The male teacher yelled through the door as he pounded on the door with Royce looking back at Frankie with a frown.
Royce walked away with Frankie looking at him as he walked toward the briefcase and put the beaker inside before he put his hand on the lid of the briefcase and looked at the beakers for a second.
"Great." Royce said with a frown as he turned his eyes to look at Frankie before he looked at the beakers and closed the briefcase.
Outside of the classroom, the male teacher was standing in front of the door holding a ring of keys as he was looking for the right key before the door opened. The male teacher turned his head and lowered his hands to look inside the classroom as he crossed his arms.
"Hey, Mr. Landry." Royce said with a smile as he walked out of the classroom.
"Just checking out the net." Royce said as he walked past Mr. Landry and walked away while moving his eyes to look at Mr. Landry.
Mr. Landry turned around to look at Royce with a stern expression.
"Computer lab is closed, boys." Mr. Landry said sternly as Frankie followed Royce with Mr. Landry watching Frankie leave.
"Yeah Frankie, I told you it was too late." Royce said as Mr. Landry shook his head while watching Royce and Frankie leave before Mr. Landry closed the door.
As soon as the door closed, a cockroach crawled inside the trash can and crawled around the drops of the Big Bang formula as a spider lowered down to the trash can.
A few hours later, Ruby was sitting on her bed looking at a poster on the wall of the Earth surrounded in a magnetic field, a compass arrow on the Earth, and some words on the poster like Geographic North Pole, Geographic South Pole, North Magnetic Pole, South Magnetic Pole, and some words on top of the Earth that said The Earth's Magnetic Field. She kept looking at the poster that was hanging on the right side of her bed as she thought about the Big Bang formula that Trina told her.
"If that Big Bang formula isn't found until the next 21 hours, there's gonna be a second Big Bang with the mutations doubled, and that's not good." Ruby said as she kept looking at the Earth Magnetic Field poster.

But then, she heard something from her room.
'I'm sorry, Robert.' Trina said as Ruby turned around to see it was coming through the air vent in her closet.
'But I think I only made things worse with Virgil.' Trina said through the air vent.
"I know he's a good kid like Ruby is, and maybe he is telling the truth." Trina said sadly as she was sitting down on a chair in the kitchen while wearing her police uniform and her police hat off with Robert walking toward her with two mugs of coffee.
Ruby was seen laying on her knees and placed her ear on the air vent on the floor of her closet as she started to listen to their conversation.
'But my cop's intuition says he's still keeping something from me.' Trina said through the vent.
"That doesn't sound good." Ruby said to herself.
"Look, Virgil's at that age-" Robert said as he was sitting on a chair in front of where Trina was sitting until he was interrupted by Trina.
"It's not just Virgil." Trina said sadly as she held her mug close to her chest.
"I've gotten off on the wrong foot with Sharon, too. And Ruby is the only one who's warming up to me." Trina said as she looked at Robert while putting her mug down.
There were a few seconds of silence as Robert and Trina looked at each other before Trina began to say something.
"Maybe we should slow things down." Trina said.
This made Ruby gasp in shock as she sat up straight while covering her mouth with one hand.
"Let's not go into that again." Robert said as he held his hand close to his chest.
"Don't you see, Robert? It's just too complicated." Trina said to Robert as she got up from her chair with her hands on the table.
"You know I adore you. I truly do." Trina said as she looked at Robert.
'The last thing I want is to come between you and your kids. But, I'm grateful that your niece is getting used to me.' Trina said through the vent as Ruby kept listening with a sad expression.
Trina walked toward Robert and kissed Robert's cheek before she walked away.
"Trina." Robert said as he turned his head to look at Trina.
Trina stopped as she turned her head to look at Robert with a sad expression.
"Take care of yourself." Trina said sadly as she walked away.
After Trina left, Robert sighed sadly as he looked down with his eyes closed. Ruby couldn't believe what she heard as she sat up straight and looked down with a sad expression before she heard the door closed.
"Poor Uncle Robert." Ruby said sadly.
As she kept looking down while feeling bad about her uncle, she suddenly heard her Solar Pole ringing as she turned her head to see her Solar Pole on her bed. Ruby got up and walked toward her bed as she grabbed her Solar Pole.
"Hello?" Ruby asked in her Solar Pole.
"R! We got a little pest-control problem at school. You guys gotta get down here!" Richie yelled in his Shock Vox and Allie's Solar Pole.
Richie and Allie were seen sitting close to each other behind a wall while holding their Shock Vox and Solar Pole.
"Dude, I'm grounded, remember?" Virgil asked angrily in his Shock Vox.
"Well, you picked a fine night to be grounded. Listen to this." Allie said in Richie's Shock Vox as she and Richie held their Shock Vox and Solar Pole in front of the door.
There was a buzzing sound as three kids on the left were hiding behind some chairs while a female student was hiding behind a piano on her hands and knees. Richie, Allie, and the students were looking at the door to the computer lab as there was a shadow from the window. A giant hook smashed through the window and broke it which made another female student scream. Suddenly, the door fell off and revealed a large cockroach as it crawled out of the classroom, growling. The cockroach walked through the room with all the students running away in fear. Richie and Allie were kneeling on the floor while looking at the giant cockroach before they turned their heads to see a music stand and a guitar in front of them. The cockroach kept crawling until it stopped when Richie and Allie whacked its head multiple times with a music stand and a guitar.
"Back! Back!" Richie yelled as he and Allie backed away with the cockroach crawling toward them.
"Where's a can of bug spray when you need it?" Richie asked in fear as he held the music stand while looking at the cockroach.
"Forget a can. We're gonna need a fire hydrant of that stuff to take down a bug this size." Allie said in fear as she held the guitar in her hands while also looking at the cockroach.
The cockroach swung its head right as Richie and Allie screamed while backing away, causing them to throw the music stand and guitar away. The music stand and guitar fell a few feet away as Richie and Allie looked at their hands before looking up to see the cockroach. Richie and Allie backed away in fear as the cockroach crawled toward them while growling at them. Richie and Allie kept backing away until they stopped as they looked at the cockroach and screamed with their hands in front of their faces. Richie and Allie looked away with their eyes closed and their hands close to their face while gritting their teeth as the cockroach was about to bite them. But then, the cockroach was surrounded by a purple electric aura as it got zapped with electricity crackling, causing the cockroach to fall down. Richie and Allie opened their eyes and turned their heads back while putting their hands down as they saw Static and Magnetta levitating in front of them and next to the cockroach. Static held up his finger that was surrounded in a purple electric aura while Magnetta had her hands on her hips.
"Static's bug-zapping service reporting for duty." Static said with a smirk as the electric aura around his finger disappeared and gave a salute.
Magnetta sensed the cockroach's magnetic field as she turned right along with Static. They saw the cockroach charging toward them while growling as Magnetta managed to get away from the cockroach by flying backwards. However, Static wasn't so lucky as he was flung toward a bunch of music stands. He knocked the music stands down to the ground as he laid on his back while Magnetta levitated next to Static. Static sat up as he and Magnetta saw the cockroach crawling toward them while roaring before it stopped and stood in front of them. Static surrounded his hands in purple electricity while Magnetta held out her hands toward the fallen music stands as her hands glowed white. Half of the music stands levitated behind Static as they were surrounded in purple electric auras. While Magnetta raised her hands to make the other half of the music stands levitate above her as they were surrounded in a white magnetic aura. The music stands levitated toward the cockroach with Magnetta putting her hands forward to make her half of the music stands levitate toward the cockroach as two music stands that were surrounded in purple electric auras bent around the cockroach's legs on the right side while two other music stands that were surrounded in white magnetic auras bent around the cockroach's legs on the left side, restraining the giant bug before the purple electric and white magnetic auras disappeared. The cockroach struggled to move its legs as it fell down while wiggling its restrained legs with Static and Magnetta walking toward it while their hands stopped glowing purple and white.
"Chew on that, Roachie." Static said with a frown.
"That's one way to stop a giant cockroach without calling an exterminator." Magnetta said as she looked at the cockroach with Richie and Allie walking toward her and Static while looking at the cockroach.
Suddenly, they heard people screaming.
"It's coming from outside." Allie said as she and Richie turned their heads to look at Static and Magnetta.
Static squinted his eyes as he and Magnetta ran off with Richie and Allie watching them. Static's Static Saucer flew toward him as he jumped on it and flew out of the classroom with Magnetta surrounding herself in a white magnetic aura and flew after him. Static and Magnetta flew through the hallway of lockers as they turned right. But as soon as they flew out of an open window, they got caught in a giant spider web as they shrieked when they got stuck. Static and Magnetta grunted as they struggled to get out of the web, but couldn't. Suddenly, a giant spider crawled toward them while hissing as Static and Magnetta looked at the spider in shock.
"If we don't hurry, we're gonna be a superhero sandwich." Static said as the spider crawled closer to the two Bang Baby heroes while hissing.
Static and Magnetta looked down and saw two dumpsters under them. Static closed his eyes and clenched his fists as he surrounded his fists in purple electric auras and held his fists up while grunting with the sound of electricity crackling. While Magnetta held up her hands as they glowed white while she closed her eyes with a calm expression without grunting. The dumpster on the left was surrounded in a purple electric aura while the dumpster on the right was surrounded in a white magnetic aura as Static and Magnetta kept on focusing their powers with the spider getting closer. Suddenly, the two dumpsters started to levitate off the ground and toward the spider web as they went through the web and broke it, causing Static, Magnetta, and the spider to fling off the web. Static and Magnetta were each holding onto a string of the web as Static let go, hit his back on the wall, and was about to fall on the ground before he landed on his Static Saucer. While Magnetta let go of the web she was holding as she was flung into the air and was about to fall on the ground before she surrounded herself in a white magnetic aura and levitated next to Static before they flew off. As soon as they left, the two dumpsters fell down to the ground with a loud bang.
In the city, lots of people were running away in fear as the giant spider crawled through the street. It was chasing some people before a white magnetic ray hit its head.
"Hey, spidey!" Magnetta yelled as she held out her hand before she lowered it with her and Static flying toward the spider.
"We're over here! Come and get us!" Magnetta yelled as she and Static levitated in front of the spider with Magnetta holding her hands in the air before they turned around and flew away.
Saliva dripped out of the spider's fangs as it hissed while watching Static and Magnetta leave before crawling after them. Static and Magnetta flew toward the School football field as the spider followed them. Static and Magnetta kept on flying before they landed on the ground with a football goalpost a few feet behind them as they waited for the spider to come to them. The spider roared as it crawled toward Static and Magnetta. Static and Magnetta looked at the spider with stern expressions before Static held out his hands and surrounded them in purple electricity while Magnetta held out her hand and made it glow white. The football goalpost behind them was surrounded in a purple electric aura and was plucked out of the ground while the football goalpost in front of them was surrounded in a white magnetic aura and was also plucked off the ground as they flew toward Static and Magnetta. Static and Magnetta held their glowing hands in the air with smirks as the spider crawled closer until the football goalpost behind them hit the spider's head while the football goalpost in front of them hit the spider's thorax, pinning it to the ground. Static and Magnetta's hands stopped glowing purple and white as Static clenched his fists while Magnetta lowered her hand.
"Yes!" Static cheered with a smile as his fists were now close to his stomach.
Static and Magnetta looked at the spider as it hissed and twitched its legs before Richie and Allie walked toward Static and Magnetta while looking at the spider. Richie and Allie stopped and stood next to the two Bang Baby heroes as Static and Magnetta turned their heads to look at them.
"Nice job holding down the fort, Rich and Al." Static said as he and Richie looked at each other.
"Yeah, you did good." Magnetta said with a smile as she and Allie looked at each other.
"Thanks." Richie said with a smile.
"Don't mention it." Allie said with a smile.
"How did this thing get supersized anyway?" Richie asked as he, Static, Magnetta, and Allie turned their heads to look at the spider before he shrugged his shoulders.
"It's been Big-Bangafied." Static said as they looked at the giant spider.
"Looks like the Big Bang can affect animals after all." Magnetta said.
"Well, at least it wasn't an Ant and Grasshopper." Allie said.
"If Magnetta and I don't find a certain metal briefcase and fast..." Static said as he and Richie looked at each other before they looked at the spider again.
"...this is just the tip of the iceberg, bro." Static said with a serious expression.
"Static's right. We need to find the Big Bang formula right away before it ends up creating more Bang Baby's around here." Magnetta said as she kept looking at the spider.
She can't imagine seeing both people and animals becoming double mutated from being exposed to the Big Bang formula. One thing is certain: she and Static need to find the formula before anyone gets hurt.
The next morning, Virgil, Sharon, Ruby, and Robert were having breakfast when Sharon saw Robert before she looked at Virgil while holding a glass of milk as Virgil and Ruby looked at Sharon. Virgil and Ruby looked at each other for a second before they saw Robert looking down with his eyes closed and a frown on his face as he kept eating. Ruby could tell that he was sad that Trina had broken up with him. Ruby was mad at Virgil and Sharon for making Trina break up with Robert because they didn't like seeing Robert being with Trina. And the way they were eating in silence while looking miserable reminded her of when she and Virgil had dinner with Richie and his family for the first time. After Robert had finished eating, there was a few seconds of silence as Sharon, Virgil, and Ruby kept looking at Robert before Sharon broke the silence.
"I can't stand this, daddy!" Sharon yelled as she looked at Robert.
"I'm sorry you two broke up, but it was just so weird seeing you with her." Sharon said as Robert drank his milk before he put his cup down.
"You've made that abundantly clear." Robert said as he glared at Sharon.
"Both of you." Robert said as he turned his head to look at Virgil with a stern expression, causing Virgil to look at him with a surprised expression.
"At least Ruby didn't see it weird with us being together and was nice to her." Robert said.
"Pops, all we-" Virgil said until he was interrupted by Robert.
"For a long time now, you three have been telling me it's time I got back out there." Robert explained as he looked at his children and niece before he grabbed his plate and got off his seat.
"That mom would want it that way." Robert said as he walked toward the sink and put his dishes in the sink with Sharon, Virgil, and Ruby looking at him with sad expressions.
"But when I finally find someone I like, this is how you treat her." Robert said as he turned around and glared at Sharon and Virgil with his left hand on the sink and his right fist on his hip.
"Look, no one will replace your mother. But I have a life." Robert said as he jerked his thumb on his chest to point at himself.
"And I'm gonna live it!" Robert yelled as he glared at Sharon and Virgil.
"You can accept that or not!" Robert yelled angrily as he walked out of the kitchen with Sharon, Virgil, and Ruby watching him leave.
Once Robert was gone, Ruby got up from her chair and looked at her cousins with an angry expression as Sharon and Virgil looked at her.
"I'm very disappointed in you two! We've always encouraged Uncle Robert to go out and meet another woman who made him happy! Saying that Aunt Jean would've wanted this. And when he finally found someone, this is how you make him feel?" Ruby explained angrily with her hands on the table.
"It's like you forgot everything that we told him all those years. Is this what Aunt Jean would've wanted?" Ruby explained angrily as she stuck each of her hands to the side before she put her hands on the table.
"You should be happy that Uncle Robert has found a girl he's happy to be with, not making it hard for Trina to be with him because you can't accept her being with Uncle Robert! Because you made Trina break up with him, he's now miserable because of you two! It's like you're trying to take away his happiness. You can't control his life! He's free to do whatever he wants with his life!" Ruby yelled angrily as she calmed down, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath before she opened her eyes again to look at Sharon and Virgil.
"I know it's not easy, but Trina isn't going to replace Aunt Jean. She will always be in Uncle Robert's heart and he would never try to replace her." Ruby explained with a calm expression.
"I'm gonna go check on Uncle Robert to see if he's okay." Ruby said as she jerked her thumb to her left to point where Robert left.
"I want you two to stay in here and think about what you've done." Ruby said sternly but with a calm expression as she pointed her finger at her cousins before she walked out of the kitchen while Sharon and Virgil watched her leave.
Once Ruby was gone, Sharon and Virgil looked at each other before Virgil looked down sadly as they both knew that Ruby was right. They should've been happy for Robert that he finally met someone who made him happy. But instead, they only made their dad miserable for not accepting Trina being with him. Ruby went upstairs to Robert's room and when she got to his room, she saw Robert sitting on his bed with his head down and a sad expression on his face.
"Hey, Uncle Robert. Are you okay?" Ruby asked in concern as she walked inside the room and sat next to her uncle.
"Yes, Ruby. I'm fine." Robert said as he looked at his niece.
"Listen, Uncle Robert, you shouldn't let Sharon and Virgil tell you not to be with Trina or who you shouldn't date. Everyone has the right to choose who they wanna date, including you. You should keep dating Trina, no matter what they say. If Trina makes you happy, don't let anyone get in the way of your happiness. And if it makes you feel any better, I support you being with Trina, and I think that she's the perfect girl for you." Ruby explained as she put her hand on Robert's shoulder and looked at him.
"Thanks, Ruby." Robert said with a smile as he looked at his niece.
"You know, my brother used to try to cheer me up when I was upset like you are now when we were kids. And let me tell you, you are just like your father. I'm proud of him for raising you to be a good girl and I'm also proud to have you as my niece." Robert said as he was starting to feel a little better.
"Thanks. And don't worry about Sharon and Virgil, I already talked to them and hopefully, they'll realize how wrong they were for treating Trina badly." Ruby said.
"Thanks, I'll let Trina know when she's done with work." Robert said.
"You do that and I'll make sure Sharon and Virgil apologize to Trina once she arrives." Ruby said with a smile.
"I better get going so I don't end up being late for school." Ruby said as she got off the bed and walked out of the room.
"Okay, and thanks for everything." Robert said with a smile as she watched Ruby leave.
"You're welcome." Ruby said with a smile as she looked at Robert before she walked out of the door to get ready for school.
A few hours later outside of Dakota Union High, Frankie was sitting in a chair talking to himself as he was learning how to convince Royce that the Big Bang formula is a bad idea while holding a pencil with a paper in front of him and three stacks of books next to him on the table.
"I-I've been thinking Royce, about the juice. Yeah, it gives powers. But it also makes freaks, too." Frankie said as he was pretending that he was talking to Royce before Royce walked toward him, speaking of the devil.
"And we should..." Frankie said until he was interrupted by Royce putting his hand on Frankie's shoulder as he gasped in fear and looked at Royce's hand.
"Talking to yourself again, Frankie?" Royce asked as Frankie turned his head to look at him.
"Royce, you, you look..." Frankie said in shock as he saw that Royce was taller.
"Bigger, huh?" Royce guessed as he grabbed Frankie by his backpack and lifted him up, causing Frankie's papers to fall on the floor.
"And that's after only smelling the juice." Royce said as he put Frankie down and looked at Frankie's books with a smirk and rubbed his hands together before he grabbed the book on top.
Royce looked at the book with a smirk before he held the book with both hands and ripped it in half.
"Just think of what'll happen when I drink some." Royce said with a smirk as he looked at the ripped book before he turned his head to look at Frankie.
"Later, loser." Royce said as he threw each half of the book to the side with some papers flying out.
"Much later." Royce said with an evil smirk as he walked away while Frankie watched him leave with a shocked expression and his jaw dropped before he followed Royce.
Virgil and Ruby were inside a classroom taking a history exam as Ruby was sitting next to Virgil on the left. Ruby and all the students were writing on their test papers with the history teacher walking around to check on the students. However, Virgil was looking through the window before he looked at his watch to see that it was 2:55 as he lowered his arm and looked through the window again. Even though Ruby had her eyes on her paper and was focusing on her history exam, she could tell that Virgil wasn't paying attention as he was mainly focused on the Big Bang formula turning into gas. As much as she was worried about the Big Bang formula, she knew that she had to worry about that later and focus on her history exam. The history teacher walked toward Virgil as he noticed the teacher standing in front of him.
"Mr. Hawkins, you and your cousin will be free to go in 15 minutes." The history teacher said as Virgil turned his head to look at the teacher.
"But now, the history exam should be your only worry." The history teacher said sternly as he looked at Virgil before he walked away.
"I wish." Virgil said as he looked at his history paper and started to write on it.
Meanwhile, Royce and Frankie were writing on their test papers with Frankie sitting next to Royce on the right until something happened. Royce let go of his pencil and started groaning while holding out his hand as Frankie noticed this and looked at him. Royce's skin started to turn purple, his physical appearance became more monster-like, his teeth were sticking out and parts of his shirt ripped as he got up from his chair and ran away. All the kids got out of their chairs and gasped at what they saw while Virgil and Ruby ran toward the scene with serious expressions and their jaws dropped. Royce kept groaning as he grew taller with his sleeves ripped, his arms growing longer, and grew sharp claws. His left arm became big and muscular while his right arm became slim and longer than his left arm, but his right hand was just as big as his left hand. His feet grew bigger as they burst through his shoes revealing sharp claws on his with the top part of his shoes ripped off and the bottom part of his shoes still on his feet with only a couple of his shoe laces holding them in place. His pants ripped along with his grey shirt, revealing his chest and abs as the history teacher ran toward him.
"Royce..." The history teacher said as Royce looked at him before he pushed the history teacher away with his one hand and ran out of the classroom while screaming.
'So, Royce and Frankie were the ones who stole the Big Bang formula yesterday. I should've known.' Ruby thought.
Virgil and Ruby closed their mouths and walked away with angry expressions while the kids standing behind them stayed in their spots. Frankie tried to run away, but Virgil grabbed him by his shirt as Frankie looked at him in fear with Ruby standing next to Virgil.
"He used that stolen Bang Baby stuff, didn't he?" Virgil guessed as he and Ruby looked at Frankie.
"Don't know what you're talking about." Frankie lied with a hint of fear as he held each of his hands to the side while looking at Virgil.
"You have to tell us where it is or the whole school will be filled with Bang Baby's." Ruby said as she looked at Frankie with a serious expression.
"And if you don't, they're gonna rename this place Metahuman High!" Virgil yelled angrily as he glared at Frankie.
"Okay! Okay." Frankie yelled with a scared expression.
After Frankie told them everything, Virgil pulled the fire alarm, causing the alarm to go off.
"Everybody out!" Virgil yelled as he and Ruby ran away in different directions.
"This is not a drill!" Virgil yelled as he ran through the hallway.
All the classroom doors opened as all the kids wondered what was going on before they started running out of the school.
"Everyone get out, hurry!" Ruby yelled as she waved her hands toward the exit.
Ruby was looking around the stampede of kids until Frieda and Allie stopped in front of her as she looked at them.
"What's going on, Ruby?" Frieda asked.
"There's some Big Bang juice in the school that's combustible. It's only a matter of time before the liquid turns into gas and turns everyone in the school into double mutated Bang Baby's. You guys need to get out of here as fast as you can, so Static and I can find it before another Big Bang occurs in here." Ruby explained.
"Is there anything we can do to help?" Frieda asked.
"Yes, there is. You and Allie help get everyone out of here and make sure that no one is left behind." Ruby said as she pointed her finger at Frieda and Allie.
"Got it." Frieda said.
"Come on, Frieda. Let's go." Allie said as the two girls turned around and ran back through the hallway to look around the school.
Meanwhile, a police car drove through the streets, revealing Kim and Trina inside. Trina's phone rang as she grabbed her phone and placed it on her ear.
"Jessup." Trina said.
Virgil and Ruby were inside an office with Virgil holding the phone in front of him and Ruby so they could both speak to Trina with a bunch of kids seen through the windows, running away and screaming.
"Trina, it's Virgil and Ruby." Virgil said on the phone.
"The Big Bang juice is here in Dakota Union High." Ruby said on the phone.
"We're on our way. You guys get out of there, now." Trina said on her phone.
"Yes, ma'am." Virgil said on the phone before he hung up and grabbed his backpack that was on the desk.
"As soon as we can." Virgil said as he looked at his backpack before running away to change into his superhero costume.
Ruby grabbed her backpack that was also on the desk as she ran after Virgil to change into her superhero costume too.
Meanwhile, at the exit of Dakota Union High, all the kids and teachers were running outside with Allie standing next to the door while waving her hands to lightly push the kids outside.
"Remain calm everyone! Faster, faster!" Allie yelled as she watched all the kids running out until there weren't any kids left in the school.
"Is that everyone?" Allie asked as she turned around to look at Frieda who was running toward her after checking the school to make sure anyone was left behind.
"Yeah, that's everyone." Frieda said as she was now outside the school and was standing in front of Allie.
"It better be. Because who knows when that Big Bang juice will go off." Allie said as she looked inside.
"Don't worry. I double-checked the whole school area and no one was left behind." Frieda said as she looked at Allie while jerking her thumb behind her back.
"Good. Now all we have to do is let Static and Magnetta handle the rest." Allie said with a smirk as she looked at Frieda.
Ruby was in her costume as she spun around in the air with her hands out and a magnetic field surrounding her. When she stopped spinning, her chest got closer as it showed the magnet symbol on her chest.
Static and Magnetta flew through the hallway as they turned right and toward the hallway of lockers. Static and Magnetta flew through the hallway of lockers until they stopped and gasped with their hands close to their stomachs when they saw purple gas coming out of both Royce and Frankie's lockers. Static held out his hands and fired two purple electric bolts at Royce's locker while Magnetta held out her hand as it glowed white along with Frankie's locker. Static and Magnetta ripped the lockers off the wall and crumbled them as Magnetta closed her hand to form a fist, causing Frankie's locker to crumble into a ball. Static also spread his purple electricity at the other two lockers in between as he crumpled the two lockers together on Royce's locker into a ball. While Magnetta held out her other hand as it glowed white along with two other lockers underneath. Magnetta waved her hand to make the two lockers come toward Frankie's locker as she crumbled them together into a ball by closing her hand into a fist before her other hand stopped glowing white and lowered it.
"Now for the hard part." Static said as he and Magnetta looked at the crumpled balls.
Magnetta held out her other hand as it glowed white along with the two doors in front of her and Static, causing the doors to open before her hand and the doors stopped glowing white. Magnetta lowered her hand as she and Static flew up in the air with the two metal balls flying behind them. Static and Magnetta flew higher and higher into the sky before they waved their hands forward, launching the two metal balls out of orbit as Magnetta's hands stopped glowing white along with the metal ball she was carrying while the purple electric aura around Static's fists and the metal ball he was carrying disappeared. Static and Magnetta flew a few feet higher as Static held out his hands and fired two purple electric bolts in the air while Magnetta held out her hand and fired a white magnetic ray in the air, causing the two metal balls to explode when the electric bolts and the magnetic ray hit them.
A few hours later, Static and Magnetta flew down to Dakota Union High and landed on the floor as Static was on his knees and put his hands on the pole feeling exhausted with his eyes closed. While Magnetta didn't feel tired as she kneeled and placed her hand on Static's shoulder before he sighed. Suddenly, Magnetta's eyes widened as she sensed Royce's magnetic field. When Static opened his eyes, he saw Magnetta's expression and her widened eyes.
"What is it, cous?" Static asked as he looked at Magnetta.
"I'm picking up Royce's magnetic field. He must be close." Magnetta said as she looked at Static.
Suddenly, they heard Royce growling as they turned their heads to see where it was coming from.
"Yep, he's close alright." Static said.
"Come on, let's go find him." Magnetta said as she looked at Static before she stood up, surrounded herself in a white magnetic aura, and flew away.
Static surrounded his Static Saucer in a purple electric aura as he stood up and flew after Magnetta. Static and Magnetta opened the door and flew inside the school theater as they looked around. As soon as they flew toward the stage, they heard Royce growling as Royce stepped in, causing Static and Magnetta to stop.
"Royce?" Static asked as he and Magnetta were levitating a few inches off the stage while looking at Royce.
Royce growled at Static and Magnetta with his back hunched and looked even taller than before. Static and Magnetta's eyes widened while they had their hands close to their stomachs as they looked at Royce's mutated appearance in shock.
"Listen, Royce, it's gonna be okay. Let us help you." Magnetta said calmly as she and Static flew toward Royce with her and Static levitating in front of Royce and a little higher off the ground.
"Eh?" Royce grumbled as he looked scared and held his arm close to his face.
Royce kept looking at Static and Magnetta with a scared expression as Static and Magnetta smiled at him.
"Don't worry, we'll find a way to change you back. I promise." Magnetta said with a calm expression as she held out her hands close to her chest.
But then, Royce's expression changed to anger as he growled at Static and Magnetta and swiped his arm to fling Static and Magnetta away, causing them to hit their backs on a column before falling down on their stomachs. Royce grabbed a piano and held it over his head as he walked toward Static and Magnetta while Trina appeared behind them with Static and Magnetta on their hands and knees. Before Royce could smash the piano at Static and Magnetta, Trina jumped on him and grabbed his neck before spraying him with a spray can, causing Royce to scream, close his eyes, and lean back as Trina lost her grip and fell on the floor while Royce let go of the piano to cover his eyes. Royce growled and turned around to face Trina with his hands covering his face while Static and Magnetta were still on their hands and knees with their eyes closed. Kim grabbed Static by his chest, dragged him away from the scene, and had him leaning on a wall next to a curtain before he went to drag Magnetta.
"Stay here." Kim said as he placed Magnetta close to Static.
"I gotta help my partner." Kim said as he ran toward the scene.
But after a few seconds, Kim was flung away and landed on the floor in front of Static and Magnetta as they went to check on Kim while kneeling. Static and Magnetta turned their heads to look at the scene with their eyes widened and their jaws dropped. Trina got back up and held the side of her head with her eyes closed before she opened them to turn around and see Royce standing in front of her as she gasped while Royce growled at her.
Royce was about to lunge on Trina with his mouth wide open until two curtains wrapped around him with one surrounded in a purple electric aura while the other curtain was surrounded in a white magnetic aura. Static and Magnetta flew toward Royce as they held their hands in the air with Static's hands surrounded in purple electricity while Magnetta's was glowing white. Static and Magnetta swung their hands to swing Royce away from the stage, causing him to fall on the floor as the purple electric and white magnetic aura disappeared. Static and Magnetta flew around Royce before they levitated in front of Royce.
"Care to take this outside, Royce?" Static asked as Royce got up before Static and Magnetta flew away.
Royce growled angrily at Static and Magnetta as he charged after him, bursting the doors off. Royce walked outside with his fists in the air before he stopped and was on all fours like a Gorilla while growling. Static and Magnetta were seen levitating in front of a statue as Magnetta held out her hand and fired a white magnetic ray at the statue for a few seconds before she was done and lowered her hand. Suddenly, the statue started to unleash a magnetic field as Royce's hands and feet were sliding through the sidewalk. Royce turned around to see the statue as he grabbed onto the sidewalk with his sharp claws while growling. But the magnetic force was too strong as he kept sliding toward the statue and causing claw marks on the floor. Royce was pulled closer and closer to the statue as he tried to hold on until he was pulled out of the ground with his back sticking to the statue. Royce growled as he flailed his arms and legs to try to get unstuck, but couldn't.
"Magnetta, you got him!" Trina yelled as Static and Magnetta flew down.
Once Static and Magnetta landed on the ground, Trina and Kim ran toward them as they stopped to see Royce stuck on the statue.
"Thanks. Although from what the Big Bang juice did to his appearance, it definitely made him the least attractive." Magnetta said with a smirk as she looked at Royce struggling.
"Yep, he's definitely not gonna draw any attention from the ladies." Static said with a smirk as he looked at Royce before he and Magnetta looked at Trina.
"Thanks for having our backs, officer." Static said with a smile.
"Yeah, we would've been done for if you hadn't come to save us." Magnetta said with a smile.
"No problem." Trina said with a smile as Static and Magnetta flew away with Trina watching them leave.
"Thank you." Trina said as Static and Magnetta flew high in the sky, leaving her and Kim to deal with Royce.
A few hours later, Virgil, Ruby, Trina, and Kim were standing next to Chief Barnsdale as they were given awards for their heroic actions back at the school with a lot of people standing in front of them. Virgil was wearing a blue suit, blue pants, black formal shoes, a white shirt under his blue suit, and a red tie. Ruby was wearing a red sleeveless dress that went down to her mid-thighs and white high heels as she and Virgil held their awards.
"For heroism above and beyond the call of duty, the Dakota Police Department is proud to honor officers Trina Jessup and Kim Garcia." Chief Barnsdale said as everyone clapped including Richie, Frieda, Allie, Sharon, and Robert.
Sharon was wearing her green sleeveless dress and Robert was wearing a black suit over a white shirt and a black tie. Allie was also wearing a yellow sleeveless dress that went down to her mid-thighs and black high heels.
"And a special citation to Virgil and Ruby Hawkins for their quick actions in getting their fellow students to safety. Not only did Ruby help her cousin with the evacuation, but she also proved that she had great leadership skills by having her friends help her make sure all the students were safely out of the school." Chief Barnsdale said as Virgil and Ruby smiled with everyone applauding for Virgil and Ruby before he and all the other people walked away.
Trina turned around to face Virgil and Ruby as she and Virgil shook hands before she shook Ruby's hand with Robert and Sharon walking toward them.
"Congratulations, Trina." Robert said with a smile as Trina turned around to look at him after shaking Ruby's hand before she and Robert hugged each other.
Sharon walked toward Virgil and Ruby with a smile as she stood next to her brother and niece while they all watched Robert and Trina hugging before they stopped and looked at each other.
"To think I almost gave up on us." Trina said with a smile.
"Hey, you're not getting rid of me that easily now." Robert said with a smile as Sharon walked toward Trina.
"Um." Sharon said as Trina turned around to look at her.
"I just, uh..." Sharon said as she tried to say something before she found the right words.
"Thanks for being a good cop. And I'm sorry for being mean to you yesterday when I should've been happy for Daddy to finally meet someone like you." Sharon said.
"Thank you, Sharon. And it's okay, I forgive you." Trina said with a smile.
"Hey, pops." Virgil said as Robert turned around to see Virgil and Ruby walking toward him with their awards.
"Aren't you proud of me?" Virgil asked with a smile.
"Of course I am, son." Robert said with a smile as he patted Virgil's arms while Virgil kept smiling.
"And you're still grounded." Robert said with a smile as he put his arms down.
Suddenly, Virgil's smile disappeared as his jaw dropped in shock.
"And me?" Ruby asked.
"Oh, I'm especially proud of you, Ruby." Robert said with a smile as he patted Ruby's shoulders which made Ruby happy that she made her uncle proud before Robert stopped and lowered his hands.
"Well..." Robert said as he turned around to look at Trina and Sharon.
"...if we're all ready..." Robert said as he walked toward Trina and Sharon while Richie and Allie walked toward Virgil and Ruby before they stopped and stood next to them.
"...we've got a table waiting for us at Get Your Grub On!" Robert said as Virgil looked at him with a frown.
"You girls can come too if you want." Robert said as he turned his head to look at Ruby, Allie, and Frieda.
"I'd love too." Frieda said with a smile.
"Count me in." Allie said with a smile.
"Good, let's go." Robert said as he chuckled and put his hands on Trina and Sharon's shoulders before they walked away with Ruby, Allie, and Frieda walking after them.
"Dang, even after doing something heroic, he's still grounded." Allie said as she looked at Ruby.
"That's too bad, he deserves to be ungrounded after what he did today." Frieda said as she looked at Ruby.
"Yeah, but that's just how the cookie crumbles." Ruby said with a smile as she turned her head to face Robert, Trina, and Sharon before the screen turned black.
I am so sorry that I kept you waiting for a very long time. I was so busy with my schoolwork and was trying to enjoy as much of my free time as I could that I didn't have enough time to work on this chapter. But, there was no way I was going to give up on this story. I hope you enjoy this chapter and that it was worth the wait. Fun fact, spider silk is stronger than steel. In fact, a spider web as thick as an average person's finger can hold up a jet airplane in mid-flight. They should be lucky that it wasn't a giant Bullfrog because they'll eat ANYTHING that fits in their mouths, even other frogs. The next chapter is going to be another OC episode, which I'll try to work on as fast as I can. Anyway, Please Review.
