Past
A clash can be heard in the night sky. Two beings of immeasurable strength fight under the pale moonlight over the city of Japan. The two figures jump back on top of buildings. One of them being the God of Heroes, Shinobi, also known as Hisashi Midoriya.
Out of nowhere, a gigantic villain, larger than at least 3 building levels, appears and prepares to attack. Acting quickly, Shinobi yells, "Wood Style: Wood Dragon Jutsu!" His opponent sees that his ally is now chained down by wooden dragons from the ground. The villain extends his hand, releasing a dark ball from his arm. Thinking fast, Shinobi claps his hands, summoning a hand to grab the incoming attack. "Wood Style: Wood Golem Jutsu!"
Out from the ground, a wooden golem the size of the giant villain begins to use the dark ball to attack the giant villain, but his opponent uses another quirk to harden the giant villain, making it ineffective.
The battle would rage on, only to be mentioned as the story of All For One vs. Shinobi.
Night after receiving the acceptance letter - 8 p.m.
"I told you, you can do it!" Ochako said, sitting on her bed as Izuku was on her desk.
"Yeah, you were right as always." Izuku said, blushing a bit. He stood up and scratched his head. "I guess I should listen to you more often." Ochako gave him a hug, which surprised him more than passing the exam.
Both hung out long enough to use each other's first name. He even met her parents, which was extremely awkward. Although they are at their jobs at the moment, they have their eyes on the green haired boy. They will know when something happens, which scared him even more, and made Ochako mad. He promised not to do anything to Ochako.
And yet, she was hugging him. He technically didn't do anything to her.
"Don't worry, my parents won't know."
"What if–" Izuku was pulled further into the hug, making sure to take all of the anxiety out of him.
"I'm doing my job as a hero to release all of the excessive anxiety you have!" Ochako took the extra mile to even use her quirk to lift both of them up to the ceiling.
Safe to say, her parents knew.
But they will deal with it later.
First Week of April
"She seems to be getting better." Izuku nodded Katsuki's comment as they stared at Ochako vomiting at the trash can of Dagobah Beach, where the trio were training. The three decided to do some last minute training before U.A. next week.
Ochako decided to do some endurance training for her quirk, suggested by Izuku, who sort of felt guilty at the moment.
Izuku turned to his childhood friend, "This is all my fault."
"Yup."
"Maybe I should make it up to her."
"Go on a date? Maybe you could kiss and make up."
Izuku sighed, blushing at the response. "I regret talking to you."
The trio were now ready again with a fresh new start.
Unless you don't count the vomiting Ochako did in the first half.
The teens used the beach to help with their individual quirks. Thanks to how big the beach is, Ochako is able to train with Katuski, by using her quirk to float away from him, and with the explosive teen trying to tag her as mobility practice in the air. All the while Izuku concentrates on the next step of his Chakra training, 'Water Surface Walking Practice'.
He completed his 'Tree Climbing Practice' before the Entrance Exam. He decided to practice further for his Chakra control, deciding to do water walking next, just in case he needs to fight on water. Katsuki thought it might be a useless thing to learn. Ochako was floating around, spotting Izuku from time to time watching him with only his swimming trunks. "You are okay?" Ochako said, trying not to vomit mid sentence.
"I have swimming trunks so you don't have to worry. I just need to concentrate a bit to have a perfect balance."
"Am I distracting you?"
"It's alright. I'm pretty concentrated."
"Try not to fall on the water."
"I won't."
Ochako smiles, "Okay. Good luck, Dekiru."
Izuku smiled back and began to pour some chakra on the soles of his feet. "Okay, just concentrate, you got this."
"Round Face! Stop ignoring me and face me!"
Izuku had some time concentrating on a tree, but walking on water is very different. The constant motion of the waves makes it harder to balance correctly. Although Izuku was feeling confident thanks to a gravity friend.
Ochako kept on floating away from Katuki. He gets close to catching her, but misses by a hair, which angers the teen. "You gotta do better than that, Bakugo!" On the ground, Izuku smirks at the gravity girl making fun of the explosive boy. Katsuki began to go faster, becoming even more competitive than before. He circles around Ochako, who begins to get worried about the boy's speed and anger. So she was ready for anything that came her way.
"Get over here!" Immediately, Katsuki blasted at Ochako, who stopped floating. As she falls, Katsuki misses his chance. He got irritated, and immediately followed Ochako to the ground. He sped through and tried to catch her. She used her quirk again, floating away from the last minute. Katsuki hit the sandy floor, like a cartoon character hitting the ground.
Izuku witnessed everything, holding in his laughter. With his laughter, he nearly falled over, but he quickly regained his balance, still laughing under his breath. Ochako floated down, going to the nearest trash can. "That… was… amazing…" Izuku laughed between sentences.
Ochako finished vomiting and sat on the sandy floor. "Remind me to not try that again…maybe when I get a better control."
"You should try asking for some support gear for your hero costume."
"Maybe you are right. I could ask for some boosters to move better. What do you think, Bakugo?"
"Fuck you…" Katsuki said, feeling pride in someone else.
"I did it!" Izuku said to Ochako who celebrated with him. Time has passed and the sun seems to be setting on the bright ocean. They began to back up, but not before finishing Izuku's training. "We better get going, I don't want my mom to worry."
Izuku grabbed his duffle bag, "I should get going too." Ochako walked with Izuku and Katsuki who finally got up with unyielding rage. "We should get to the train. My parents would kill you if I'm late. Wanna share a train ride?" Ochako said, smiling with a friendly attitude.
"I could ride with you."
"Great, but good luck with my parents."
The trio waited for the train to arrive and sat with each other. "I still don't get how they could be so intimidating. Especially your mother."
Izuku felt a shiver to his spine, recalling the time his mother actually threatened him. "Don't worry about it."
"When you say that, I do have to worry. They would kill me if I remotely looked at you funny."
"Don't be like that. Sure they can get a tad bit aggressive when it comes to boys, but they mean well. Trust me, they wouldn't try to hurt you."
Izuku sighed, but smiled. No matter the situation he is in, nothing could be scarier than facing an angry parent, who happens to be Ochako's mother. So, he tried his best to say something else. "So, are you ready?"
"I'm super nervous!"
"Me too. I'm trying to think of something else, but my mind keeps on going to U.A. I feel like something bad might happen on the first day."
'If you say that, then it might happen." Ochako said, tapping his chest. "You should think positive. Isn't that right, Bakugo?"
"I don't care."
"C'mon, Bakugo! Don't you see I'm trying to cheer up Dekiru. Don't be a sour puss."
Katsuki looked away angry, "I don't give a fu–"
Izuku cut in, "It's alright, you get used to it, remember?" Izuku had a sweatdrop on the back of his head. He smiled, "But you're right, it's going to be alright."
A smile graced Ochako's face as she looked at Izuku. "There you go. So we better do our best!"
Second Week of April
"Izuku! Have you got your pocket tissues?!"
"Yeah."
"And your handkerchief?! Have you got that?!"
"Yes!" Izuku told his mother, putting on his shoes in a hurry. "I've got it! No time. Gotta hurry…"
"Izuku!"
"Whaaat?!"
Inko smiled, looking at his son. She saw him not so little anymore. He looked just like his father.
"You look great."
Thus began his high school career!
"See you later!"
Izuku ran around the corridors. Searching for his class. Thankfully, Ochako, and Katsuki have the same class.
"Found it…" Izuku looked up, seeing a giant door with "1-A" painted on it. "It'll be just the elites from that group of examinees…" He opened the door, only wishing one thing in return. That scary guy… Hope he is in another class…
Unfortunately the scary guy with glasses was in the same class as him. What's even worse is that Kacchan is there. Arguing with him. Which made things even worse.
The only thing he heard from both of them arguing was that his name is Tenya Iida, from Somei Private Academy. With the commission happening, Iida was able to spot Izuku who was still at the door.
Iida shuffled quickly, saying, "I'm from Somei Private Academy…"
"I heard you before! I'm Izuku Midoriya. Pleased to meet you, Iida…"
"Midoriya… you… you perceived the true nature of that practical exam." Iida continued, "While I did not! I misjudged you! I hate to admit it, but you were the superior candidate!"
"But I actually didn't perceive anything."
"Oi, Deku! You know this extra?"
"EXTRA?!"
"OH! Dekiru!" Ochako appeared from the door behind Izuku.
"Ochako! You made it just in time!" Izuku said, fighting the urge to say that the uniform looks cute on her.
"What do you think about the uniform, does it fit me?" Ochako asked, making Izuku become pure red. "My parents said I look cute, but I want someone else's opinion."
"It looks good! I mean…! It suits you quite well and I think wearing it does make you… you… cute…"
"Really? I was hoping to look good today."
Bakugo watched as the boy and girl talked to each other. He couldn't help but smirk.
Flashback
"Just ask her out already!" Mitsuki said at the dinner table. She and her family are at the Midoriya apartment, celebrating for the boys getting into U.A. "It's really obvious you like her, it couldn't hurt to ask her out! If you do, then you won against Katsuki in the battle of love!"
In the kitchen, Katsuki is washing the dishes with Inko, and begins to shout at his mother. "Like hell I will fall in love, that's overrated!"
Izuku smiled at his family's antics. His uncle Masaru began to cut in to talk to his nephew so to say.
"You know, when I met Mitsuki, we were both still working at the design agency. I was weak against strong willed women, but she was on a whole different level of strength. She approached me so fiercely, I didn't realize we were on track to getting married."
"Sounds like you didn't have a choice…" Izuku thought back to the times he hung out with Ochako. He felt calm and like he didn't have to worry anymore. "I guess I'll think about it…" Katsuki looked at him. He looked at his childhood friend, and smirked.
Present
It's painful to watch him talking to her. He should just confess already…
"You don't know how to tie a tie Dekiru?" Ochako said, getting closer to Izuku. "You know you could tell me when you need help with a tie. Wonder what our teacher will be like?"
"If you're here to socialize, then get out." Both Izuku and Ochako looked at the entrance floor, seeing a haggard looking guy inside a yellow sleeping bag. "This is…" The man grabbed an apple juice packet from his bag, "the hero course." He then sucked the drink up. The man got up from the floor, getting out the sleeping bag, and looming over the class. "It took eight seconds for you to quiet down. Time is a precious resource. You lot aren't very rational, are you?"
The class then realized that he is their teacher.
"So he's a pro hero too…?" Izuku said to himself.
"I'm your homeroom teacher, Shot Aizawa. Pleased to meet you." Aizawa then grabs a gym uniform from his bag. "Quickly now. Change into your gym clothes and head out to the grounds."
"A test… of our quirks?!"
"What about the Entrance Ceremony?!" Ochako asked. "Or guidance sessions?!"
"No time to waste on that stuff if you want to become heroes." replied Aizawa, which surprised Ochako. "U.A. is known for its "freestyle" educational system. That applies to us teachers as well." Aizawa began to list all of the things they will be going to be tested for, like the things they did back in middle school. As he finished explaining, he called out to the top student, "Midoriya. How far could you throw in middle school?"
"Sixty-six meters."
"Great. Now try it with your quirk." Aizawa tossed a ball towards him. "Do whatever you need to. Just don't leave the circle." Izuku nodded and began to warm up. "Give it all you've got."
"Alright."
Izuku felt the roots beneath him, using his chakra, he claps his hands, screaming, "Wood Release: Hotei Technique!" A number of gigantic wooden hands that erupt upward from beneath the ground, which then encircle and attempt to throw the ball as far as it could, surprising the entire class in the process.
"It's important for us to know our limits." Aizawa said, showing the class Izuku's score: 705.1m. "That's the first rational step to figuring out what kind of heroes you'll be." Some of the class began to yell how awesome the test will be, which concerned Izuku when Aizawa didn't look so pleased. "Awesome…you say?" He loomed over the class, "You're hoping to become heroes after three years here and you think it'll be all fun and games?" Izuku was afraid, "Right. The one with the lowest score across all eight events will be judged hopeless and will be expelled."
The class erupted saying "WHAAAAT?!"
"Your fate is in our hands." Aizawa said, enjoying the class's misery. "Welcome. This is the hero course at U.A. High!"
The trials of the first day. What would Izuku do?
