CHAPTER 66

A tape? Another... Willian Thatcher shouted, that was already four tapes and those had images of him with Jú in intimate moments in the office and snippets of his conversation with Hargraves, about Charles' escape.

Whoever it was was getting rich at his expense, but when he found out who it was, it would end his life. No one dared defy Willian Thatcher, and no one would be so stupid as to blackmail him.

Willian called the bank and once again had the sum of money transferred, always to different accounts in Switzerland, and only because of these details had he not yet discovered his blackmailer.

Jú listened to everything from behind the door, her smile growing as she remembered her accounts, each one fatter than the last. A simple, intimate favor from the bank owner and that was it... That was all the help she needed. Jú knew that she had a great asset in her hands, or rather, between her legs, with her hottest and most fiery assets, she could hold off any man. And for the time being, that bank manager would be of great use to her.

Meanwhile, Hargraves was talking to Charles Kinsegton III. They should wait a few days, as the Mounties couldn't stay there for long. Soon they would each go off on their own mission, including getting Jack Thorton out of there so that they could get Elizabeth and Charlote. In the meantime, Charles had to keep calm and prepare himself, because once they'd caught the women, everyone would go their separate ways.

The two men laughed, making their plans for when they picked up their wives, each with some kind of amusement in mind.

Meanwhile, in Hope Valle, on this beautiful morning, Jack had just dropped Elizabeth off at school, a few minutes earlier than usual, but he had to go to the farm of Mr. Watson Peendr, a very old man, who lived alone just north of Hope Valle, and Jack at least once a fortnight, took the time to visit him and take care of some basic things, like fixing fences and roofs, things that an eighty-one year old man could no longer do. But Jack loved accompanying his wife to school every day, every minute by her side made the gears of his heart turn and beat faster. She was his world, the air he breathed. And that was why they had arrived early. Jack was even surprised when he suggested taking her to school on horseback, but that she would have to get up early, and Jack knew that Elizabeth hated getting up early. She wasn't a morning person. But to his surprise, he saw his wife naked in his arms, after making delicious love, lifting her chin, smiling and with those honeyed eyes, saying that she would never miss an opportunity to cuddle up to her husband; to him that was very seductive, his wife had a way of making him feel like a special man.

And now, there he was, on top of the sargent, heading for Mr. Watson Peendr's farm, and he couldn't stop smiling, after making love twice that wonderful night, she now said goodbye to him, in a way that made his blood boil, just remembering it...

- "Jack... my J-a-c-k... she said softly."

A shiver ran down Jack's spine, that woman had no idea what she was doing to him by speaking his name softly.

And Elizabeth, coming closer, spoke:

- "Love... What's that on your neck?"

"Jack didn't know what was there, he'd cleaned and shaved earlier, could something have been left behind?"

-Where, love? Jack asked.

-Jack... look up! Let me see your neck. And as soon as he obeyed, she stood on her tiptoes, and her fingers went down his neck analyzing the area, and his heart almost stopped, when he felt their lips and with her tongue passing over his Adam's point, that small bony protrusion in the middle of his neck, his legs lost their strength and he had to cling to Elizabeth's shoulders, who smiled and wished him a good job."

"Who does she think she is, to stir me up like that and make me tremble in her arms and send me away like that? Jack thought.

"And so, unable to resist his wife's charms, he pulled her into his arms and kissed her with intense passion, their tongues dancing to a sensual and irresistible tune. Jack, now on his way through the valley, couldn't help but smile, Elizabeth knew how to make him the happiest man alive."

"But all happiness can end or be shaken one day..."

Bile Hamilton, all that time he was at school hiding, saw that passionate kiss between Elizabeth and her husband. Now more than ever, he knew that his return to Hamilton would be sensational. That woman was totally different from her sister Julia. Whereas Julia was uninhibited and fiery, he now realized that Elizabeth was beautiful, graceful and passionate. Having a woman in his arms with all that passion would be a first for him. And that young woman had a body that would take the breath away from any living being, she was full in places, with a slim waist that fit in his hands. She was going to call his name between her moans, in his bed, with the same passion as she did with her mountie husband.

Bile was content, no one was still at school, and her mountie husband had left for a long time to go to a farm far away, where he would spend the day working and meanwhile his dear wife would be in his hands. Today this young girl would meet a real man. Bile smiled and spoke softly:

- I'm going to have a busy day too, with a lot of work just like you, Mr. Mountie... I'm going to work hard on that seductive little body today and for the next few days. And he laughed.

"My hands are itching! " thought Bile.

Elizabeth tidied up everything on her desk, Tom would be there soon, but in the meantime she decided to get the smaller things from the back of the church; with her hand still in the splint, she wouldn't be able to carry the boxes. But at least she could get the papers for the children to draw on. She wasn't an invalid and she didn't want to take advantage of Tom's situation; with her arms full of papers, she was walking back to her desk when she felt a tug on her body. Papers flew everywhere and a cloth bag was placed over her head. Elizabeth struggled and screamed like crazy.

Tom was just arriving at the school when he heard Elizabeth's screams and rushed to open the door, causing a huge bang. He was startled to see the mess, lots of papers on the floor, but he couldn't see Elizabeth. That's when he heard her screams, coming from the back of the school, grabbed his gun, put the bullets in it, and ran to the back; he didn't know what was going on, but he wouldn't let anything happen to her.

And that's when he saw a man, trying to get her into the car, she was struggling with everything she could.

- Let her go now! Tom shouted.

But Bile Hamilton was a trained thug, he wasn't like the good people and he turned around pretending to give himself up, but he started shooting in Tom's direction, who was in a place with no protection; Elizabeth was shouting for Tom to take cover, even with his head in a bag she was worried about him. But she didn't know that he had been grazed in the head and was lying down.

Bile punched Elizabeth in the stomach, causing her so much pain that she fainted on the spot. She was carried and put into the car. Bile didn't want to hurt her too much, as he had to get her back to her family in one piece, so he tied her wrist and then tied it to the end of the window bar, so that she couldn't get out of that blank. Starting the car, he drove off, he was going to have fun with her first and then, during the train journey, that young woman would have to keep quiet about what they had done in bed, because the consequences for her and her family would be enormous, and from what he knew about Elizabeth, she was too good a person to damage her family's reputation.

But he didn't know that, at that moment, Tom was walking slowly towards the city, in great pain and gushing blood, he needed to find someone, he needed to save Elizabeth. Staggering, Tom entered the square, passing in front of the café, where he was already pale from the bleeding, his mind confused. He felt strange, his feet. They seemed to float, he couldn't even see the ground anymore, everything was beginning to darken, but he had to be firm, he had to save Elizabeth, that's when he felt a hand on his shoulder supporting him.

- What's wrong, Tom? Let's go to the infirmary. It was Frankison...

Tom looked at him, blinked, blinked again, he had to get everything out before he passed out.

- Run, Frankison. Someone kidnapped Elizabeth, he put a bag over her head and they drove out the back of the church, they took the road to the city of Regina. He hit me, I couldn't save her.

Lee and Ned appeared at this point, when Frankison sent word to Jack and his father that he was going after Elizabeth, and ordered Tom to the infirmary. Frankison ran to the café, got his jacket, took his horse and rode as fast as he could to the school. He was one of the mountie's best trackers, he was going to find his Beth. He wouldn't let anyone hurt her. He couldn't lose her and Jack couldn't live without her either. He found the trail and moved on, this car really was heading for Regina, they were more than thirty minutes ahead of him, he had to run, and catch up before they got on the train, because then it would be very difficult to find his sister; my sister? whether sister or cousin, she was very important to me and my family.

Charlote had left the infirmary early to accompany Bill, who was being discharged and was returning home. They were both pure smiles. She had just settled him in his bed when a knock on the door surprised her...

- Charlote, I need you to go to the infirmary now, your son Tom has been shot and Elizabeth kidnapped. Pastor Frank, was speaking.

Charlote went pale, her legs lost strength, but Frank held her and hugged her before she fell. Her silent tears fell on the pastor's shoulder. As a preacher, he knew the pain of a mother feeling that she could lose her children.

- Look, Charlote! Listen to me. Tom was shot in the head, he's fine and is being treated by Carson. He only lost a lot of blood walking from the school to the square looking for help. Frankison is looking for Elizabeth, we'll find her. Robert, a student at the school, is riding to the farm where Jack is working, he knew how to get there by taking a shortcut. Wynn was being warned by Ned and they're going out to search.

She looked at the ladder and Frank understood.

- Don't worry, I'll stay with him and I won't let him leave, even if I have to tie him to the bed.
