AN: I'm back with a brand new chapter. Also thank you all so for the reviews on last chapter. Don't worry this little separation between Jax and Tara won't last forever. They'll get back together sooner or later.
It's been almost a month since Jax and Tara got caught by Opie. It has also been almost a month since Tara told Jax that she didn't want to see him anymore and she needed some time and space to think things through. She's been avoiding his calls ever since. Tara hasn't even been to the clubhouse or TM for a month because she's been avoiding Gemma as well, which she's pretty sure Jax must have told her about by now.
What's even worse about this whole situation is that Opie still won't talk to her. He's still pissed that Tara and Jax were seeing each other behind his back and lied to him about it. He's even more pissed that Donna knew about them and she never told him. At least Piney is still talking to her.
When Tara told Piney about her and Jax, at first Tara thought Piney would be angry with her and might forbid her from seeing Jax again. However, surprisingly Piney was actually okay with them being together, and since she was about to graduate from high school soon. It was her decision, and Piney had no problem with it, as long as Jax didn't hurt his daughter.
Hearing a knock at her front door, Tara set her homework aside as she got up from the table and walked over to the window to see who was outside. When she spotted Gemma standing there, Tara sighed deeply before reaching for the door and pulling it open.
Well, at least you're not dead," Gemma said retorted as she walked into Tara's house without waiting for Tara to invite her in. "I think it's finally time that we talk." She said as she set her purse and car keys down on the coffee table.
Closing the door behind her, Tara sighed deeply as she walked over to the couch. "Yeah, I guess so too," she said. "Gemma, I'm sorry that Jax and I hid our relationship from you, and I'm even more sorry that I lied to you that day, when you asked me if there was something going on between Jax and I."
So, why did you do it?", Gemma asked as she placed both hands on her hips and stared at Tara.
Because I knew if I had told you about Jax and I in the first place, you would've done everything you could to keep us apart or kill me," Tara said, shrugging her shoulders. "Besides, I didn't tell you because I didn't want to have this conversation."
Gemma scoffed as she shook her head in disbelief."Jesus Christ, Tara. You know damn well that I would never do that. I might get mad, but I would never kill you. You're the daughter of a member of the club, which means you're family."
Tara snorts a little as she looks at Gemma. "You told me if there was something going on between Jax and I, that I should end it before either of us got hurt. So please don't stand there and lie to me by telling me that you wouldn't kill me. Because we both know you would." Tara knows Gemma a lot better than anyone else.
Gemma sighed deeply as she walked over to the couch and sat down beside Tara. "Look, Jax is the only son that I got left, and I was only trying to protect him and you too. You should come to the clubhouse tonight." Gemma suggested.
Tara sighed as she shook her head. "I can't, I told Jax that I needed time and space for a while. Besides, Opie still won't talk to me. He's hardly ever home anymore, and when he is, he mostly spends his time locked in his room. Avoiding me."
" I will handle Opie. Just come to the club house tonight." Gemma said again as she got up and grabbed her purse and car keys. For a month Jax hasn't been himself and every croweater has been throwing themselves at Jax ever chance they get and Gemma's really getting sick and tired of seeing it. She's also getting tired of seeing Jax miserable all the time.
" Why?"
Gemma asked, "Do you love Jax?" before giving Tara her answer.
" Yeah, of course I love Jax. But it's not that simple though."
"It's very simple, Tara. If you truly love Jax, then you would be there tonight; that's why." Gemma said as she opened the door and stepped out, looking at Tara for a moment. "I will see you later tonight," she said before closing the door and going back to her car.
Tara sighs heavily as she ran both hands through her hair. Tara honestly didn't expect that conversation to go so well, and she definitely didn't expect Gemma to be actually okay with it either. Of course Tara wants to see Jax, but she honestly doesn't think tonight is the right time. She still needs to think about everything.
Jax hasn't seen or heard from Tara in over a month. He's been trying to call her, text her, but still hasn't received any responses. Jax knows that Tara wanted space and put some distance between them. He never thought it would be this long or that he would actually lose her because of it. Lately, Jax has been trying to numb the pain by focusing more on the club.
He's hooked up with a few croweaters but it still didn't do anything for him. Jax would rather be with Tara right now than anyone else. Jax would rather be with Tara right now instead of being here tonight. Placing a cigarette between his lips, Jax noticed Chibs walking towards him at the picnic tables.
"Hey, brother," Jax said as he lit up his cigarette and handed over his lighter when he noticed Chibs had one too. "Checking on me again?" He asked with a chuckle as he took a drag and blew out some smoke.
Chibs shook his head as he took a drag from his cigarette and blew out some smoke. "Still haven't heard from Tara yet?" He asked. Chibs already knew there was something going on between Jax and Tara for a while now. He suspected it ever since the day Tara slammed Wendy's face against the wall in Gemma's office. He was just waiting for one of them to say something.
Jax sighed as he shook his head." I'm thinking of going over there." Earlier today, Gemma had mentioned to him that Tara was coming to the clubhouse tonight, but unfortunately, it's been a couple of hours already and Tara hasn't shown up. So he's going to go see her instead.
Chibs nodded his head in understanding."You probably should go now, before a croweater ends up coming out and looking for you." Chibs said with a smirk and a small laugh.
Jax snorted a little as he dropped his cigarette on the ground and stepped on it with the toe of his boot."Thanks brother, I appreciate it." He said as he slapped his hand against Chibs' shoulder before walking over to his Dyna to get ready to go see his old lady. They've been apart for too long and he doesn't want to spend another minute without her.
After her shower and after checking on Piney. Tara was in bed watching few episodes of her favorite reality show Mob Wives. Tara was suppose to go to the club house tonight, but she decided against it. Of course she wants to see Jax, but with everything that happened. She's just not ready yet. Tara was about to shut her tv off after the last episode of Mob Wives, when she heard a knock coming from the front door.
As Tara looked at the time, she began wondering who could be at her front door in the middle of the night. Tara wasn't expecting anyone, and considering it was late, Piney wouldn't have expected anyone either. Hearing another knock, Tara exhaled deeply as she pulled back the covers and climbed out of bed, grabbed her gun, and prepared to confront anyone who had come over uninvited.
As soon as Jax watched the door open and the moment he saw Tara, Jax inhaled and exhaled deeply before stepping closer to her and grabbing her face with both of his hands and crashing his lips against hers. He started to kiss her deeply and passionately while gripping her hair with his hands as he backed Tara up against the door frame. He groaned deeply against her lips as he continued to pour his love and everything he had into that kiss.
Before Tara had a chance to say anything, she suddenly felt Jax's lips against hers. Instead of pushing him away, Tara wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back just as passionately and deeply. God, Tara would be lying if she said she didn't miss his lips on hers or the way he kissed her. Because she did miss it more than anything. She missed Jax more than anything. She moaned softly against his lips as soon as they were pressed up against the doorframe.
Jax smirked against her lips as he had missed the sound of her moans so much and the taste of her lips against his even more. Slowly pulling away, he rested his forehead against hers. Jax closed his eyes as he sighed deeply. "We can't be apart like this, babe," he whispered softly.
Feeling Jax's forehead against hers as she exhaled deeply, she massaged her fingers against his beard. "I know. Jax, what are you doing here?" She asked as she really didn't expect to see Jax tonight. As much as she was happy to see him, she really wasn't expecting him to just show up like this. But then again, it's Jax, so of course he'd show up like this.
Well, when you didn't show up at the clubhouse tonight, I had to come and see you," Jax said with a smirk. He then sighed deeply before getting serious again. "You've been avoiding me, babe."
Tara placed both of her hands on his wrist and slowly nodded her head. "I had my reasons, Jax," she said softly. Tara felt bad for avoiding him for so long; he really didn't deserve it. She just hated how Opie was acting like a complete jerk about the whole thing.
Jax nods his head in understanding as he pulls back so he can look at her more."It's getting late, babe. So I think it will be best if I go home. So you can get some sleep." He says before he leans forward and presses his lips against hers, kissing her deeply and passionately as he groans against her lips, before pulling away from her. As much as Jax wants to stay with Tara tonight, it's still not the right time.
"Good night, babe," Jax whispered softly as he gently kissed her forehead, before walking away from her and getting back on his Dyna. Seeing and feeling Tara against him was what he needed and it made him feel a little better. But once they got through this hurdle, Jax would have his old lady back in his bed and he would never let her go again.
Watching Jax ride off had already made Tara ache for him even more. She wanted to reach out to him and pull him into the house with her and drag him into her bed for the night. To just feel him next to her again because she hadn't been able to feel him all month. But instead she just stood there as he rode away from her.
Closing her eyes, Tara took a deep breath and placed her hand on her stomach. "Hey, little one," she whispered softly. "That's your daddy."
AN: OMG Tara's pregnant and Jax doesn't know. Hehe like I said before this separation won't last forever :P . Leave reviews and I will get started on the next chapter probably tonight.
