Chapter 27: Revival of the Espadas IV
"Good job, Shizuku… it looks like you have found everyone," Homura mumbled happily upon looking at him.
Yes, Homura… it wasn't that tough though," Shizuku responded with a smile and then all of them started to go deeper into the Hueco Mundo through a trench.
"Why didn't you save Espadas and if you really wanted to gather all useful Arrancars?" Luppi asked Homura and Shizuku while walking along with everyone.
"Espadas are the most powerful Hollows of the entire Hueco Mundo and thus they are going to get something that we can't offer them," Homura answered in a cold tone.
"What about us?" Menoly asked worryingly.
"Don't worry! Every Arrancar is important in the eyes of Lord Orkos and you all are going to get the position that you deserve and a team that won't neglect your abilities and worth," Shizuku everyone.
"Hmm… let's see," Cirucci muttered while walking along with everyone.
World of the Living, the Fake Karakura town…
Halibel had already arrived in the Fake Karakura town along with Roka and thus before going to the death location of her Fraccions, she decided to pay a visit to Urahara's Shop. So, that she could talk to Ulquiorra upon his revival and also leave Roka at the shop because the situation in the Fake Karakura Town was quite dangerous for her.
After spending some time in the Urahara shop, she arrived inside the barrier of Fake Karakura Town and began to wait for Sesshomaru right at the place where her Fraccions died. She had already placed their dead bodies in a comfortable manner side by side. The whole time she was staring at their faces and regretting her actions, blaming herself for everything that happened to them. Suddenly she noticed a huge Garganta appeared right above her in the sky and Sesshomaru came out of it.
"Lord Sesshomaru!" She whispered upon looking at him.
He landed right beside her and observed the three corpses, "I can recognize the two of them."
"It is because I met the third one much later than I met you," Halibel responded to him.
Now Sesshomaru drew his Tensaiga and as he did, its blade began to glow with the blue demonic energy. Soon the minions of the Netherworld appeared around the corpses of Halibel's Fraccions whom the Daiyokai slashed with a single swing of his blade. Halibel was utterly shocked and speechless to witness that her Fraccions were moving and they just opened their eyes while all the injuries and bruises from the bodies of her Fraccions had disappeared. Sesshomaru stood a few steps away from Halibel in order to provide her with some privacy to talk to her Fraccions.
"Apacci, Mila Rose, Sung-Sun…" Halibel mumbled as she got on her knees upon getting overwhelmed by the sight of the revival of her friends.
"Halibel-Sama," Apacci responded while looking at her as she tried to get up on her feet.
Now all of them got up slowly and looked at each other happily with a smile. Sesshomaru started to walk towards Halibel while the three of them were constantly staring at him. They were surprised to see a man with Halibel but they were too hesitant to ask her about him.
"Tia…" Sesshomaru spoke upon approaching her but before he could say what he wanted he was interrupted by Apacci.
She came forward and glared at him before she placed her hands on the sides of her waist and said in a strict tone, "Do you have any idea whom you are talking to? Just who do you think you are?"
Now before Halibel could say anything, Mila Rose spoke to Sesshomaru as well, "Yeah… and nobody calls Halibel-Sama by her first name, you should apologize to her, right now?"
"Wait! Apacci… Mila Rose… do not say anything else," Halibel spoke to them abruptly in her desperation to stop them.
"B..But Halibel-Sama?" Apacci mumbled to her.
"You all are fine right now only because of him… he has revived you all back from the dead," Halibel told all of them.
"We were dead?" Apacci muttered in disbelief.
"Yes, it certainly felt that way but it can't be possible since we are alive now," Sung-Sun replied to him.
"Oh, Wait! Apacci, Sung-Sun…! Where did our injuries vanish?" Mila Rose asked shockingly upon realizing it.
"And our power… it feels fully recharged, but how?" Apacci spoke while shifting her focus towards her spiritual pressure.
All three of them were utterly shocked when they realized that they were actually resurrected by Sesshomaru and then Sung-Sun asked Halibel about him with great curiosity, "But who is he, Halibel-Sama?"
Apacci crossed her arms and whispered to Sung-Sun in a displeased tone, "He is a male after all."
Mila Rose responded as well, "Yeah, don't forget it Sung-Sun."
"I am sorry Lord Sesshomaru, they…" Halibel spoke to him softly but was interrupted by him.
"We are running out of time, Tia… we must revive the remaining two Espadas now," he said in his usual serious tone and then she led him towards a location a few steps away from there.
Sung-Sun's mouth was opened and she was blushing after seeing that Halibel referred to him as Lord.
"I think my eardrums didn't heal yet," Apacci mumbled while fingering her ear.
"No… Apacci, she did refer to him as Lord," Mila Rose whispered to her shockingly.
"What the fuck! We were just dead for a few hours and this world turned upside down," Apacci spoke anxiously.
"Whom do you think I should revive first?" Sesshomaru asked her.
"Stark… I am taking you to his corpse. It will be easier to convince him that's why I think it is safe to revive him first because I don't know how Baraggan will react to the situation," Halibel replied.
Afterward, Halibel brought Sesshomaru to the location where Stark's lifeless body fell after receiving the death blow from Shunshui Kyoraku. Now she backed off to a sophisticated distance away while Sesshomaru unsheathed his Tensaiga in order to revive him. The Daiyokai was able to see the hoard of the minions of the Netherworld surrounding Stark's corpse. He didn't waste any moment in destroying every single one of them with a single swing of his Tensaiga. The next moment, Stark slowly opened his eyes and he saw Sesshomaru and Halibel with confusion as both of them were standing right in front of him.
"You… you have revived me, I was dead… have you revived Lilynette too? Where is she?" Stark asked anxiously upon getting revived.
"She should be alive now," Sesshomaru responded.
"Try calling her name," Halibel told him.
"Lilynette? Hey… Lilynette?" Stark shouted as soon as he got up from the ground and waited for some response but even after a few moments he received no reply from her.
"She isn't responding… perhaps, she is…" He mumbled in a worrisome tone but was interrupted by a familiar voice that surprised him greatly.
"Stark! Stark! I'm here… I was just shocked to find myself alive," Lilynette's voice echoed as she got manifested from the smoky blue energy at some distance away from him.
"Oh, okay… fine, and now just shut up because that white-haired guy is up to something," Stark replied to her after taking a deep breath of relief.
"No Stark, he is not what you are thinking," Halibel responded upon listening to his words.
"Do you know him? Did he revive you as well?" He asked her in a serious tone.
"I known him for a very long time but what you need to know is, a few hours ago he saved me from the certain death at the hands of Aizen," She answered Stark in an utterly serious manner.
"What do you mean?" He asked confusingly.
"Aizen tried to kill me after your death just because he thought that we Espadas are not powerful enough… we were nothing more than just a few pawns at the palm of his hand," she explained further in a slightly gloomy tone.
"WHAT? I can't believe this…" Apacci responded with immense shock.
"That's disgusting! I will rip that fool apart with my own hands," Mila Rose spoke furiously.
"I will never forgive him for this vile deed," Sung-Sun muttered in a very strict tone.
"Hmm… this is his true face," Halibel spoke in a serious tone.
"Damn! I am glad you are fine, Halibel-Sama," Mila Rose replied her while Apacci was still speechless after listening to her words.
"I am alright only because of him," She replied as she turned her sight towards Sesshomaru.
"Oh!" Her Fraccions responded with a surprise.
"I never liked that guy to be honest… he was always shady as fuck," Lilynette interrupted in between.
"Shut up for now, Lilynette," Stark scolded him in a serious tone.
"You are being so serious," Lilynette uttered in a low voice upon noticing his anger.
"So, it was all a lie, an illusion… we were never his comrades…" he muttered to himself in a low voice.
"It is not the end of the line, Stark… we can still fight against him and stop him once and for all," Halibel responded to him.
"I am all for it… Count me in!" Lilynette spoke in between.
"Hmm!" Stark didn't say anything but from his expression, it seemed that he had made up his mind to face Aizen.
Now all of them arrived at that location in the sky where Baraggan's body dissipated. Sesshomaru unsheathed his Tensaiga and repeated the similar process of revival that he used during the resurrection of Ulquiorra and Zommari. Soon Baraggan's body reformed back to normal with his life and spiritual pressure restored. Upon his revival, he was simply observing everyone with serious expressions instead of giving any sort of reaction.
"I appreciate that you considered reviving me back from the dead… it would be better if you revive my Fraccions as well," Baraggan said to Sesshomaru.
At first, Sesshomaru looked at Halibel because Orkos never asked him to revive any Espada's Fraccion back from the dead but eventually he agreed to his request because it seemed important to gain him as an ally. The Daiyokai used his Tensaiga one last time and soon the demonic power of the sword detected the locations of the corpses of all the six Fraccions of the Segunda Espada. Now with six slashes from the Tensaiga, he revived all of them one by one before he put his blade back into its sheath.
"Choe Neng Poww, Charlotte Chuhlhourne, Abirama Redder, Findorr Calius, Ggio Vega, Nirgge Parduoc… take your positions," Baraggan demanded in a strict tone and suddenly all six of his Fraccions took their positions around him on their one knee.
"What do you think you are doing? Don't you want to know what happened after you died before you do something?" Halibel asked him in a serious manner.
"Halibel, I don't think you can tell me something that I can't anticipate at the moment," he replied aggressively.
"None of us want to fight against you, Number 2," Stark spoke to him as well in the hope of avoiding an unnecessary conflict.
"You have to listen…" Halibel insisted in a serious tone.
"You might have anticipated by now that we are no longer a part of the Aizen's army but what you need to know is, he has betrayed us… after you and Stark died, he…" She said to Baraggan but was interrupted in between.
"Ha ha ha ha ha ha… he might have tried to kill you, isn't it? So what if he betrayed us or even tried to kill us? Even if he wouldn't, I was going to kill him because he took my throne away from me… because of him, I am no longer the King of the Hueco Mundo," Baraggan spoke while remembering the day when Aizen, Gin, and Tosen attacked him.
Now Baraggan began to raise his spiritual pressure which alarmed both Stark and Halibel but Sesshomaru was silently observing everything that was happening between them.
"We should combine our powers to fight against Aizen at this moment… don't waste this second chance," She said in order to convince him once again.
"Halibel, are you forgetting your place? I am the true King of Hueco Mundo and I will punish Aizen but don't you dare to boss around in my presence," He replied to her in a rude and arrogant manner.
"You are out of your mind," she mumbled in a furious tone.
"We are free now, Baraggan… the sooner you realize it, the better it would be," Stark said in a serious tone.
Now the Segunda Espada summoned his battle axe and swung it at Sesshomaru with immense strength but the latter blocked it with his Bakusaiga. Now Baraggan began to release his spiritual pressure in the hope of trying to suppress him during the weapon deadlock. However, the Daiyokai simply unleashed some of his spiritual pressure and pushed the Segunda Espada away from him with his superior power.
The moment Baraggan got pushed back, he roared, "Prepare to battle, everyone!"
In the blink of an eye Charlotte, Poww, and Nirgge approached Apacci, Mila Rose, and Sung-Sun and stood right in front of them. On the other hand, Findorr reached Lilynette and placed his sword on her throat while holding her from behind.
"Primera Espada… do not even think about moving any muscle otherwise your companion's head will be rolling around like a ball, Findorr said to Stark with a cunning smile. He was shocked to see Findorr's blade pressing against Lilynette's throat but he couldn't do anything.
Now the moment Halibel tried to go closer to Fraccions, Abirama and Ggio Vega blocked her path.
"Move… if you do not want to be killed," the Tres Espada muttered furiously.
"We are here to hold you only for some time," Ggio responded to her.
"Until our comrades make a mess of your lovely Fraccions," Abirama added, and then both he and Ggio took their blades out.
Charlotte, Poww, and Nirgge were facing Tres Bestias where Charlotte was fighting against Apacci, Poww was standing against Mila Rose, and Nirgge was facing Sung-Sun. Tres Bestias were having a hard time dealing with the three powerful Arrancars but they were still able to struggle through the battle on their own.
Sung-Sun was crossing swords with Nirgge and despite trying very hard she was unable to move Nirgge even an inch. However, the Fraccion of Baraggan pushed her far away during the weapon deadlock by using his superior strength and before she could regain her posture, he rushed towards her and shoved her into a building with the force of a powerful sword swing which she tried to stop by her blade. Sung-Sun walked out of the smoke and dust cloud with lots of bruises while panting. She rushed towards Nirgge and tried to hit him with her Zanpakuto multiple times but her blade was not even able to penetrate his hierro. Once again Nirgge shoved her hard into a building with a tight slap on her face.
"Fighting you is a joke," Nirgge spoke with an arrogant smile on his face.
Not so far away from there, Mila Rose was continuously attacking Poww with her sword but all of her attacks were proven to be futile. However, she was being extra careful about the range of his punches.
"You should just accept to be my whore if you don't have the strength to fight me," Poww muttered and as she backed off the moment he tried to punch her.
"Bastard!" Mila Rose hissed angrily.
"After all, your boss is also going to come under Lord Baraggan sooner or later," he added.
Upon listening to this line, Mila Rose's rage was out of control and she immediately rushed towards him with fierce momentum while charging her spiritual pressure. Poww immediately attacked her with a powerful punch and their collision turned into a blast of spirit energies. She fell from the sky after getting hit by that punch while her blade got snapped in half.
Now Poww landed on the ground right beside Mila Rose and asked her, "You are done already?"
She got up on her feet slowly despite all the injuries she sustained with her broken sword in her hand. He again tried to punch her but she dodged it using Sonido and this time she tried to attack him from the top with her broken blade. However, the giant Arrancar grabbed her leg in mid-air and slammed her hard on the ground. He again tried to hit her with a powerful punch but she stopped it using her broken sword which eventually got crushed into multiple pieces by the pressure and then Poww put his leg on her belly and started to torture her with his weight.
On the other hand, Apacci and Charlotte were crossing swords with immense speed. Both of them were continuously attacking each other with powerful sword swings without any stop.
"You don't know yet whom you are dealing with… you wild ugly woman," Charlotte said to Apacci in his usual taunting manner.
"How dare you call me wild and ugly… it's you who is ugly, the very sight of you is disgusting," She taunted back.
Now infuriated Charlotte jumped very high in the sky and began to spin swiftly while coming down towards Apacci. She looked at him and prepared to defend herself but a powerful sword clash backed by the immense force shoved her hard in the ground as she fell from the sky. However, while Charlotte was wondering about her condition, she appeared right behind him, and then once again they pushed each other back with a strong sword clash. Apacci's condition wasn't looking good after hitting the ground hard. There were bruises all over her body including half of her right face while she was clearly looking in pain.
