Mindor Agricultural Colony - Attican Crossing

The human colony of Mindoir was a peaceful and prosperous place. Located at Attican Crossing within the Citadel space. It had been created 4 years ago and was the only human colony built outside human territory. It was given as a gift from the Citadel Council itself to the Alliance to create good relations with the other races of the Citadel since most humans did not leave Alliance territory and when they did, they did not stay in one place for long.

The colonists were mainly farmers, traders, and scientists, Mindor was an almost completely mountainous Garden world with 40% of the planet being deserts and dunes for this reason Sunagakure and Iwagakure were the only villages to send colonists to the new world as their people I was used to living in similar regions.

Mindor, after being colonized, became almost the only place besides Shanxi and the Citadel where other races could interact with humans, which made the colony very popular for tourism in the last years of its colonization.

But this peace was interrupted when a fleet of Batarian ships appeared in the sky. The Batarians attacked the colony without warning, bombarding the space defenses and preparing to invade the cities and capture the inhabitants to sell them into slavery.

Unfortunately for the Batarians, their attack was expected since the colony was founded by the Kages 4 years ago. They knew that at some point slavers would attack and as all the human colonies were in the alliance's territory and the relays for them were moved there was no way they could plunder any world like that so Mindor was a perfect bait.

Of the Millions of humans sent to Mindor as Colonists, 70% were from ninja families who, even though they were civilians, had training ranging from genin to Chunin and the militia was made up of Chunins who were still in service instead of how humans militias normally were. All Colonists knew about the future risk of invasion and were prepared.

Military complex - Mindor Colony.

- Human ninja

In one of the military bases in the Colony of Mindor, which was a little far from the city, a human woman, Sergeant Mirabi, was monitoring the space sensors, when the red alert on the control panel went off. She quickly activated the system's map where a 3D image in front of her showed that a Batarian fleet had entered the system and was attacking the orbital defenses. She quickly activated all the alarms to warn the base and ran to the hangar. There he found his squadmates, everyone was preparing for combat by putting on their armor and arming themselves with kunai, shurikens, and swords as well as their weapons.

The Captain of her squad was standing in the center waiting for everyone to be ready to speak.

"As you all may know, we are under attack by the Batarians, who are currently attacking all defenses outside the world. This attack was of course already expected, so I want you all to do your best, just like in the simulations. So listen carefully! We need to protect Mindor at all costs and that's why our mission, different from other squads, is to guide all the civilians we encounter to safe locations and rescue any prisoners we encounter. To do this, we will divide our squad into five teams of four members each. I will lead Team 1, Sergeant Johnson will lead Team 2, Lieutenant Yuro will lead Team 3, Sergeant Mirabi will lead Team 4, and Lieutenant Jim-Mon will lead Team 5."

"Captain, are we sending the teams to different cities or are they all going to the same city?" One of the soldiers asked.

" Great question, Soldier, all teams will be sent to the same city which will allow us to cover a larger area for the rescue and respond more effectively to the attacks of the Batarians we encounter. Now for those in command of the teams I have sent for your omni-tool the profiles of everyone who will be part of your team based on each member's skills and experience." The Captain responded by sending the profiles to the team leaders. "Remember to stay connected to the squad network to pass information between teams. Furthermore, as you know, squads have designated meeting points in the colony to facilitate coordination and sharing of information."

Receiving a message on her omni-tool, Sergeant Mirabi said, "Captain, receive confirmation from the other squads that we are ready for battle."

"Okay. Everyone get ready, we're leaving."

...

When they arrived in the city, Sergeant Mirabi looked at the battle that was happening above her head. Up there, the battle was intense. The Batarian ships that managed to get past the orbital defenses and the defense fleet were firing at the cities that were holding up well because of the barriers and the defense ships that did not have FTL technology were attacking the Batarian ships.

However, the barriers were focused entirely on defending against orbital attacks and not on preventing the Batarians that managed to land from entering the cities. And that's where her team came in, her mission was to rescue any prisoner taken by the Batarians and take the civilians to the evacuation sites that were protected with the strongest barriers in the entire colony and that would not allow any invader to enter and take the civilians. civilians.

With all this going on, she signaled her team to follow and they moved forward cautiously, trying to avoid detection. The area around him was empty and silent, ideal for an ambush. Then, suddenly, the drug dealers appear in his field of vision.

Mirabi quickly performs hand signals and then instructs the team to attack. They attacked using fire, wind, and earth techniques. They managed to eliminate most of the invaders, but some managed to hide behind buildings, Mirabi concentrated her chakra and performed one of her strongest techniques, she summoned a fire dragon that flew towards the batarians who were hiding with the dragon snaking between the buildings she managed to hit the Batarians squarely, causing a huge explosion.

Smiling in satisfaction she turned to her team and ordered them to search the surroundings to look for where the batarians came from and if there were any prisoners. At the end of the search, one of the ninjas warned Mirabi that he had found a hidden Batarian ship.

Taming the leadership of their team, they infiltrated the ship, where they only found a few guards who were soon shot down. They reached the basement, where they found hundreds of humans and other species chained in cages.

"Quick, release them!" Mirabi said.

"Yes, ma'am," The other ninja replied."

They began breaking the chains with their swords or shooting, freeing the captives. Some were injured, others passed out, but everyone was relieved to see the ninjas.

Some of the prisoners were grateful for being saved. "Thank you, thank you very much. I thought my life and my family's life was over," An Asari said in tears, hugging a Salarian Male with a baby Asari in her lap.

While others asked what was happening, still in shock, "Who are you?" A young volus asked with the others in their cage, still not believing they were saved.

"We don't have time to explain everything, we have to get out of here before the Batarians realize that one of their ships was attacked."

"But how are we going to get out?" A Quarian questioned along with others.

"Don't worry we have a plan." She responded, activated her communicator, and called the other teams. "This is Sergeant Mirabi from Team 4." She said, "We managed to free the colonists. We need immediate extraction."

"Understood, Sergeant Mirabi." A voice from the other side responded. "We are sending a transport to pick you up. Where is your current location?"

" We are in the basement of a batarian ship in the City of Jorru, Neighborhood of Flowers on 3rd street. " She informed him. "We have to be quick, they can discover us at any time and we have a large number of human and non-human civilians."

"Copy, Sergeant. The transport will arrive in five minutes. Hold on tight." The voice confirmed.

"Thank you, I'll be waiting."

The Sergeant turned off the communicator and turned to the colonists and their companions.

"Let's go." She said, "We have to go to the hangar. There, Alliance transport will take us out of here."

"But what about the batarians?" asked one of the colonists.

"Don't worry about them." She said, "Well handle them." She smiled and motioned for them to follow her and everyone left the ship's hold with the ninjas following closely behind the colonists. They moved silently through the corridors of the Batarian ship, careful to check that there were no enemies.

When they arrived at the hangar, they saw a small Alliance ship landing.

" There's our transport. Let's go quickly. " Said the Sergeant.

They ran to the ship, but before entering, they were surprised by a group of armed Batarians who emerged from a side door.

"Stop! You two damn eyes." shouted one of them."

The batarians pointed their weapons at the ninjas and the colonists.

"Damn, we were discovered," Mirabi muttered.

She looked at her companions and saw that they were ready to fight.

"What are we going to do, Madam?" One of the ninjas asked.

Taking a deep breath she looked at the colonists and saw that they were scared and defenseless. She knew she had to make a quick decision.

"Let's fight. We can't let them capture the civilians again. I have a chakra bomb in my pocket. I'm going to throw it into their midst and cause a huge explosion. Use your most powerful jutsus to protect the colonists so we take advantage." out of the confusion and took the colonists to the ship." She said

The ninjas nodded silently and prepared for the imminent battle against the Batarians. They advanced toward the Ninjas, shooting after realizing they were not going to surrender.

Mirabi took out the chakra bomb from his pocket and threw it towards the Batarians. The explosion was immense, the flames devoured the air, leaving everyone involved breathless. Her companions used their most powerful jutsu to create barriers that protected the colonists from fire and smoke.

As the dust cloud began to dissipate, Mirabi signaled the colonists to run towards the ship, while she and other ninjas protected them.

With the smoke dissipating, only a few batarians managed to protect themselves from the explosion. As soon as they recovered, they started shooting at the ninjas who dodged the bullets and attacked them directly with their swords, cutting and killing them.

At the end of the confrontation, only two of Mirabi's teammates had been injured, which was soon treated by the team doctor, and they were completely healed within minutes.

Finally when they managed to reach the ship they boarded and were taken to one of the colony's security shelters where they left the colonists safe and then were again assigned to a new location to continue the search for the captured colonists.

Batarian Slave Ship. - Batarian soldier

I was with the others on the bridge receiving orders from our commander.

Our mission was to invade a colony, but not just any colony, but Mindor, which was a human colony. Humans were a new species in the galaxy and always stayed longer in their territory in Alliance space, which made them a highly sought-after commodity in Hegemony territory.

And now their commander was saying it was a unique opportunity to capture new slaves and valuable resources. He said that humans were weak and stupid and that they would offer almost no resistance; the hegemony had gained valuable information on human defenses from Entropy and assured that our attack would go off without a hitch and that the Batarians could subdue the humans.

Like a good soldier, I obeyed without question. I was trained to follow the orders of my superiors without asking, and humans were an inferior race like all the others who invaded the galaxy that belonged to the Batarians and stole our space. They deserved to be enslaved like everyone else who thought they were better than them and if they resisted they would be exterminated.

When we finally got close to the colony, I grabbed my gun and helmet and ran to my transport ship. There I found my platoon mates, all eager for combat. We boarded the ship and headed toward the planet.

When we got down there, our captain told us that we were assigned the mission to capture any human prisoners and that our radars indicated that we were close to a city and that there was human activity inside the buildings. The captain guided us until we reached the city of Jorru, while a small group of 10 soldiers stood guard over the ship.

As we walked through the deserted streets our Batarian leader signaled us to move forward with caution. An intense battle was going on in the skies, with batarian ships firing at human cities that were holding up well because of some barrier the humans invented to prevent the batarian ships' shots from reaching the cities. Meanwhile, defense ships that did not have FTL technology were attacking the Batarian ships.

In the middle of it all, we saw some civilians fleeing to some shelter, we pointed our weapons in their direction and ordered them to surrender, but the majority tried to resist or flee. Strangely, the humans offered no resistance and even convinced the other species that it would be pointless to fight and that it would only result in them getting hurt or, worse, dead. As our commander said at the beginning of the invasion, the humans were easily dominated, which made everything easier for our squad who managed to capture a good amount of slaves. And they were taken back to our ship.

By order of our captain, we divided into two groups: the first continued searching the city in search of more humans, while my group headed towards the shelter with a small war vehicle, called Sluvi, which would be used to move the captured colonists further. easily back to the ship.

As we got close to the human shelter, we realized that there was a small group of soldiers guarding the entrance and that they, along with a small fence around the shelter, were the only defense. Another thing we noticed was that the humans seemed to be the only ones who weren't panicking running to the shelter.

After coordinating with our team and telling Sluvi to keep a good distance so as not to attract attention, we advanced toward the shelter, and as soon as we appeared in the guards' field of vision they quickly made signs with their hands, and somehow they multiplied and Some of them ran towards the civilians who were still arriving, picking them up in their arms and running them towards the entrance of the shelter. And in the middle of all this, my men and I started shooting.

I saw, with my own eyes, humans dodging bullets and shooting back with fire and wind. The battle became more and more intense, and more of our warriors began to fall. For some reason, my men were unable to approach the shelter. They tried, but as soon as they got close, their movements became slow, and they were easily killed.

They seemed invincible, and that made me even more apprehensive. I felt my heart racing because, with every second, they seemed to be gaining an advantage over us. And then, I saw one of the humans get hit, and in an instant, he crumbled into dust. I was stunned, not understanding what had happened. But I soon realized that another human had appeared out of nowhere, and launched a bolt of lightning or a fireball that hit another Batarian squarely, who screamed in pain and suffered an agonizing death.

As we tried to fight, I could feel my heart racing. The humans seemed to be winning, and as more and more of our soldiers fell, I realized it would be impossible to win. He saw another one of his own being cut in half by a human blade and falling lifeless to the ground. Then he ordered his men to retreat.

He knew they couldn't just run away anymore so he decided it was time to use his last card, which he hadn't expected to use until this moment. He quickly sent a signal to his companions in the Sluvi asking them to attack to put an end to human resistance, and with a noise that became louder and louder the vehicle appeared on high ground a little distance away and sped towards the shelter where a gigantic Fire explosion swallowed everything in front, including humans.

After the explosion dissipated and there was only smoke a wave of relief ran through the Batarians knowing that with this they had managed to kill the human guards and that their mission could be accomplished by capturing any shelter survivors trapped in the rubble. But, before they could do that, he saw something unbelievable as the smoke began to clear. One of the humans walked slowly towards us, defiant and with a mocking expression on his face as if to say the last attack was insignificant.

Soon other humans as well as the shelter behind them became visible after all the smoke disappeared and were unharmed by the explosion.

He and his men knew at that moment that they had lost and there was no way to win.

Citadel. - Council Tower

Diplomat Hana was in the Council room, where representatives of the three most influential races of the Citadel were waiting for them: Turian advisor Sparatus, Asari advisor Tevos, and Salarian advisor Vikkan. The three Advisors were sitting on a raised platform, looking at the human woman with varying expressions. And then Sparatus questioned what all three were wondering.

"I am curious to know why Madam Ambassador requested such a sudden meeting. What is the matter you wish to discuss with us?"

With a very serious expression, Hana stood in front of them and activated her omni-tool where the image of a planet appeared.

"councilors, I unfortunately requested this meeting because I bring distressing news. A day ago, Mindoir, the only colony we have outside of Alliance territory in the Attican Crossing, was attacked by Batarian slavers."

Upon hearing these words, Councilor Tevos was scared and felt apprehensive about how the Batarians could be so stupid!

"Ho…How did this happen?" She stuttered wondering if the Batarians had forgotten that not long ago the Citadel almost went to war with the Alliance and the relationship between the governments was still a delicate thing; their attitude could cause a war!

"They appeared with a considerable fleet over the colony and descended on our world with the help of an entire army, strong enough to fight against our militia and I want you to remember that our militia is made up solely of Chunins and that they were one of the main reasons that prevented the Turians from being able to take our cities in the first contact war. And even though the attack was a failure and was stopped within just 3 hours, I am impressed that essentially it should have just been an attack of pirates and criminals would have had enough funding to match the forces of an army like the Turians and such high quality and high-tech military equipment to support them, but that's exactly what happened." Hana responded by showing images of the attack and of the ships and equipment that were clearly of military quality.

Councilor Sparatus made an expression of disgust at the insinuation that pirates would have the same efficiency as the Turian army and said, "Are you saying that the Hegemony itself sponsored the attack on Mindoir, Ambassador?"

"What I'm saying, Councilors, is that in just 3 hours slave traders managed to attack our defenses and take seven thousand innocent humans much more efficiently than they should have and that their attack, despite being halted, seemed to have a lot of information about how we fought at a level that simple criminals wouldn't even have the organization or resources to do so. And what I'm insinuating is that the slave traders were financed by someone." She answered him coldly.

Spartacus seemed uncomfortable with the meaning behind her words but asked anyway. "If that's true, Ambassador, what's the Alliance response?"

"We only ask for intelligence support, to recover our citizens." She clarified. "The kages are already preparing the counterattack against the slave traders and as we know several attacks on the Attican Traverse have always been countered we do not want to cause any political incident with the Batarians so please provide case files of attacks by slavers or their fleets will be enough."

Vikkan tapped the table ruminating over the option presented to him with a frown on his face. The Salarian Union always has backup plans and backup plans in case the colonies of the Citadel races were attacked by the Batarians, which always avoided a major conflict with the Hegemony, but with humans, that was different, the Mindor colony was a gift given by the Council itself to improve the relationship between them and the Alliance, if they don't act soon they may not be able to avoid problems or a possible war that would change the status quo of the galaxy.

" Then We will provide the information you want more Furthermore, the Council will not provide military resources for this operation as we need sufficient evidence to act and cannot take hasty military action against the illegal presence of pirates in the Attican Traverse the Council is responsible for many lives and we must not cause political incidents with our allies by attacking them." He finally said after thinking a lot about the best way to solve this problem.

"Councillor Vikkan is right, Ambassador, the Alliance will have to deal with this incident with these criminals in its way and we at the Citadel will help them with all the necessary information." Tevos, despite being nervous about the situation, could not demonstrate it and his words came out seriously.

More unexpectedly, the ambassador did not seem nervous or angry, in fact for the first time since the beginning of the conversation she genuinely smiled and seemed to show the joy of a child who had received a new toy.

"Oh! We appreciate the Council's help and we understand your choice, don't worry, I'll inform the Kages and we'll deal with this our way."

The Councilors didn't say anything despite finding her behavior strange and when she turned and left the room Vikkan wondered if she had made the right choice... Surely the Alliance wouldn't achieve anything against the Batarians like everyone else.

...

Human Embassy - Ambassadors' meeting room.

The Human Embassy's meeting room was silent when Hana met her teammate, ChoKuma. A satisfied smile lit up Hana's face, and ChoKuma couldn't help but notice.

"By the look on your face, everything went as you wanted in the meeting," said ChoKuma as he saw his companion almost jumping with joy.

"Everything went perfectly as I planned. They didn't want to get involved, and now we'll have carte blanche to resolve the problem with the Batarians our way," Hana replied.

"Well, who would have thought that the Council's cowardice would be so useful to us in the end? But tell me, how are the preparations going for the future attack?"

"The Kages have everything almost ready, as we expected them to attack Mindor at any moment, and as you know the markings to track the colonists are working perfectly so we know very well where each of them is which will make it easier for us to recover them as planned," Hana replied but soon became more serious. "It just wasn't in the plans for the Batarians to be so organized and seem to know some of the ways we fight. I wonder how they got that information."

"I might know how," said a voice behind her. Hana turned around and saw her companion Inokou, who had just arrived.

"Ino, you came back earlier than we expected. What did you find out?", Hana asked, eager to know the news.

Inokou took a deep breath before starting to speak. "After a long conversation with Tsuchikage-Sama and a thorough analysis of the information gathered after the attack on Mindor, we discovered that the Batarians have ties to the organization Entropy. It appears that they were one of the main sponsors of the attack and provided much of the intelligence necessary for the Batarians to know how to react to our attack."

Hana frowned, processing the information. "So the Batarians weren't acting alone. They had the support of a powerful organization. That complicates things."

ChoKuma nodded, agreeing with Hana. "Absolutely. Now we have to deal with not only the Batarians but also Entropy. They are an even bigger threat than we imagined."

Inokou nodded, sharing his companions' concern. "We need to find out more about Entropy and its goals. The more we know about them, the better prepared we will be to face them and then devise a plan to neutralize them."

The meeting room fell silent again, but now there was a different energy in the air.

"Ino, tell me more details about the invasion, maybe I can understand something more," ChoKuma asked, thinking about the upcoming battle with the attack on the Batarians to recover their people.

TORFAN, a few days after the attack

- Human Colonist

Lena Martins was not someone special or unique, she was just another human woman like any other, the only thing that differentiated her from any other human woman was that she was part of a ninja clan. Well, come to think of it, she wasn't part of it. Her family has always been made up of only civilians who have worked in every industry you can imagine for generations, they have never been involved with ninjas.

Her village had no shinobi as they were small and only focused on trade. But like all the other small villages they were under the command of one of the 5 great Shinobi villages and their small village was in Iwagakure, but that all changed when their mother's younger brother married a ninja from Sunagakure.

Her uncle Léo was a musician and had gone to Sunagakure for a musical performance. He was part of a traditional Mexican music orchestra where they played Ranchera, Son Huasteco, Son Jarocho, Danzón, Bolero, Son Istmeño, Son Jaliscience, Chilena, Son Calentano, Son Planeco, Cancion Cardenche and it was at a performance where he performed for the Kazekage where he met his aunt.

From that day on, her uncle and aunt fell in love, and after a year they got married her previously civil family was taken to be part of the Sabaku Clan which her aunt was part of.

That's why she began to be trained in the ninja arts but as she started her training very late at the age of 16 and only had basic civilian training to control her Chakra Lena only reached the Genin level.

But despite this, she did not want to pursue this career and became a musician like her uncle upon learning of the construction of Mindor, a world that was ceded by the Citadel Council to build a closer relationship with humanity, she, along with many others humans, accepted, and will come to colonize and move to Mindor with the dream of showing a piece of human culture.

But not everything was rosy, as when she applied to travel to Mindor she was informed that as she would live outside the alliance's space, many of the galaxy's dangers could reach her world, such as the pirates who attacked the colonies in the Attica system. Crossing. For this reason, only people with Shinobi families and Genin-level training were accepted, which at that moment seemed to fit her perfectly. And Lena didn't feel afraid because she knew that the Shinobi would always protect them... How she wished she had made a different decision

Now in a filthy cell and trapped in an unfamiliar place, Lena looked at her captors with furious eyes. She was sitting with 25 other fellow captives, most of whom weren't even humans, as she kept hearing from the 4-eyed bastards that they regretted capturing such a small number of humans, which would make their profit low.

Angrily she looked at her hands trapped in heavy cuffs that cruelly cut into her flesh, she wondered if it would hurt her hands in the future as crimson blood dripped onto the floor she wondered if she would ever play an instrument again.

These thoughts distracted her from the lamentations around her, lamentations produced by people she had known for almost 4 years since moving to Mindor, she turned her face and saw an Asari who always bought the same dessert as her when she returned from her lunch break. , now thrown into a cell bleeding because of the implant she and other Asari were subjected to so they wouldn't use their biotics. She wondered if in the middle of Asari's crying the day before she stopped breathing.

As she thought about this, she heard another scream of pain echo, and in a cell in front of her where there were only Turians, two younger ones cried saying that they were going to kill their brother, holding the bars of the cell with their hands bleeding with their claws torn off, as well as other Trurians to not rebel.

Lena then looked at her hands again

And she thought if she could, she would touch everything for the chance to use them just once to suffocate one of the four-eyed aliens and make sure she at least stopped just one monster from hurting other people.

She was so lost in her thoughts that she almost didn't feel a small hand tug at the rags that her clothes had become. Calling hee name was the owner of the hand, a little Quarian boy who was holding a piece of bread.

"Lady Lena hasn't eaten anything yet, so I saved this for you since I can't eat."

Hearing that childish voice saying such kind words in such a depressing situation made her kneel and run her fingers across his face with tears on hers. That boy reminded her of the biggest mistake she had made in her life, reminded her that she had killed her friend, killed Kal's mother, and killed Sinj'Reegar.

If she could go back in time, she would tell her friend that she didn't want to go to the park that day, that they should have gone to the art museum like her friend wanted since the museum was close to a shelter when the invasion started, they and Kal could have run to the shelter and she wouldn't have to see her friend being killed in front of her, she wouldn't have to hug Kal and say that she would take care of him, her Sinj would have said that inside the shelter, assuring him that everything would work out.

However, that wasn't to happen and she was here holding that child as she looked into the mask's visor thinking about the childish face that should never have seen such horrible things at such a young age.

She thought that if she could, she wouldn't let him see how so many people were tortured in that place, how the batarians had fun playing with the captives, showing them how powerless they were, with beatings, whippings, and rapes like the shock collars they wore. They could tear down an adult person and destroy their nerves like the biotics were opened and suffered with implants that would kill them if they tried to use their biotics to escape. They suffered because many were opened and closed in a dirty way and some were dying from infection.

Which made her more and more afraid of how much they were going to take Kal away from her to implant that device in him. That moment was getting closer as the screams that had previously echoed dissipated and soon a batarian approached her cell along with 2 guards readying their weapons for everyone inside the cell.

"I have good news for you as your cell has been chosen to be the next cell that will be attended to by Doctor Charn so line up and follow me."

All the biotics inside the cell made an expression of fear and some even started to cry. Kal held his clothes as best as he could with his hands bound by handcuffs and she placed him behind her.

The batarian in front of them made an expression of annoyance.

"Listen here you worms, don't give me any more trouble, hurry up," he said, entering the cell, pulling a young drell, and ordering the guards to remove all the biotics from the cell when it was Kal's turn he held her with all his strength, which led the guards to push Kal's body with force, but even so she and Kal didn't let go until after pulling very hard Kal left their arms.

"Take this boy to the line that will be attended by Doctor Tarak, we will see how he will continue with this rebellion and take this slave to be flogged." The Batarian ordered turning around after Lena and Kal were separated and arrested by the guards but shortly after saying that an explosion rocked the complex. "What the hell was that?" The man demanded to know the guards.

"Lord Kalak, we are under attack!" Came the panicked response of a guard who ran up.

"Shit!" Kalak shouted. "How could this happen?" He then turned to the guards. "What are you doing standing there, take everyone to the cell now!"

In that fleeting moment, Lena took advantage and freed herself from the hands of the guards, and by some feat of fate, an explosion destroyed one of the walls she saw that this was her chance and jumped on the batarian called Kalak and did what she dreamed of every night, putting her hands on hands around that man's neck and squeezed with all her strength.

SSV EYES OF REVENGE

Hana Shepard, Jounin of Konoha watches with still wonders at the fleet before her. The golden light of the teleportation gate shines through every ship that lies in front of her eyes with glimmering holy gold that never ceases to bore her. Humanity's power incarnate, fleets of steel produced from the human mind, and ingenuity, drizzled and painted with holy seals.

She wanted to spend her time just watching the sight in front of her. Of cannons and fighters, of instruments of wars, yet duty calls. Her feet clamored to turn as she made her way to open a locker that was in her room. A cold metallic box. A product of standardization yet somehow from those rambunctious and uncultured machines; they manage to make something suitable for her taste. A box that is born from humanity's fire of industrialization yet somehow the flare of her people's design and culture was bright for her to see. Carves of ornaments, of past battles, of past stories and legends that echoed through the annals of history. Something that isn't restricted only to a metal box but all of human designs.

All of human philosophy.

Opening the locker without a word, she readied herself by wearing her gear for the upcoming operation. Wearing the standard issues Alliance body armor Konona pattern and sheathing her blades. Before closing the locker she saw one last time a picture that brought forth a smile to her face. Her baby girl smiling in her arms with her ex-partner showing emotion to his usual cold exterior.

Seeing the photo never failed to make her regret her decision to choose her duty before her family. And anger for her ex-partner's family casting aside a future that was hers to deserve. That damn council of old men's and traditions holding her from a future that she deserved to have, a future she fought for! Her fist clenched just thinking about it and grew limp immediately after as all that anger now turned to sadness. A future lost. They could've been a happy family, making breakfast for her daughter while her partner helped her.

What did she do that the gods of light and dark deemed that she was deserving of such torment? All her life she has dedicated herself to the alliance, to humanity! The beliefs of those who came before her of peace, prosperity, and family. Yet why. Why! WHY! After years of fighting for that ideal, she cannot savor it! A fruit that she helped to grow with her blood, not just hers but her comrades. Why can't people like her even after the gods themselves bring forth centuries of peace…

An alarm flared up with the voice of a woman announcing their destination. stopping Hana from that train of thought.

"All combat personnel head to your battle stations. All combat personnel head to your battle station. We will arrive at our destination in 5 minutes."

As of cue, Hana closed her locker and headed to the ship's hallway where red light flares accompanied by the silent footsteps of her comrades. Her mind threw away all those sentimentalities. While she is a woman ridden with grief, her duty as a Shinobi takes precedence.

Looking around her she could see that her fellow jounin and chunin had put aside their emotions to don the mask of professionalism. Their mouths shut but intent cannot be hidden so easily, especially for a trained shinobi like Hana. Excitement to be in their first battle, anger in search of comeuppance, and an unbreakable determination to face an enemy that she felt no sympathy for what she and her comrades would do to them.

They called themselves the Batarian Hegemony. A race of four-eyed slaving bastards that deserved to be put down like dogs! Humanity after centuries of peace had never known war. Their memories of the pain that they've told their sons and daughter finally latched on to prevent anyone stupid enough to start another one. That doesn't mean they lack the means to be good at it.

Oh humanity could try its best to pursue the path of peace but no one will deny besides eating and shitting the only thing we're good at is war, they revel in it, possibly born from it. Most of the technological advancements that were used both for violence and nonviolent acts were there because of war. Sure, for the past centuries, they've developed technologies made in an era of peace, a peace made from the foundation of human lives.

Now the Turians had awakened their baser instinct, showing cruelty to those who are undeserving. A mistake that made a calm sea boil with only divine intervention for it to stop! Call for war, call for violence was drummed across human space.

REVENGE

REVENGE

REVENGE!!!!

Chants for revenge were uttered, no. Demanded!! Revenge, revenge for Shanxi! revenge for Mindoir! They'll show whoever stands in their way to know of their strength; their resolve to win, their drive to protect their family! And most importantly a drive for freedom. Hana is a woman who is very picture of professionalism, you wouldn't be a high-ranking ninja if you could not reign your emotions. But the notion of sapients species as slaves shimmered founded anger she never realized she had!

An entire species filled with wrath just waiting for a motherfucker to do something and a motherfucker did do something. And that motherfucker now has to taste why we humans have to be restrained from the simple act of ending another man's life. And now that wrath wasn't only fueled by her species' anger but a resolve to liberate the ones who were weaker than them.

This was now not a war to sate their hunger for vengeance, a war to show their might. No! This is a crusade, a crusade against those who had wronged them, against the inequity this galaxy has given them. They thought that humanity would lie and accept that her species' fate was only to be the slaves of their will. Well, they are wrong. Fire asunder would be rained from their sky! Humanity blades will rend them to pieces! Blood will be spilled! Bone crushed, and only then this justified righteous-filled anger that demanded vengeance will be sated.

Oh, they could try by claiming that those were pirates. They could try. Using all those legal loopholes and their rotting silver tongue. It will not save them from meeting whatever gods they worship as her blade arranged them to meet.

The ship was shaken as the sound of objects ramming into the ship and trying to destroy the hulls rang across the hall. The crowd's pace fastened with her following them. Arriving at the ship's hangar, she spotted her team waving at her near an Alliance transport ship.

"Captain over here!" the voice of her subordinates somehow cut through the mess and chaos of 1000 men and women preparing for battle.

"Is everybody here?" she asked her second-in-command, a Tokubetsu Jonin named Kaito. He only nodded in response. "Good…"

"All assault personnel, drop point, eta 1 minute."

"You heard the lady. Get in you fucks!" She yelled and all of her squad climbed on board the ship. There was no place for her and her 6 man squad to sit, only ropes and harnesses for them to support themselves; the one who designed this ship expected that they would mostly use their chakra to stand upright. A fair assessment as shinobi prefers mobility and a semblance of control.

Looking at the transport ship windows she grimaced, not liking what she was seeing. The transport ship left the hangar only to transform into a fiery ball of fire as they were hit by an enemy anti-air gun. Talented men and women with one each could kill hundreds of enemy personnel with their lonesome now dead because they couldn't get to their landing zone faster.

(Halo 5- Light is Green)

A hologram now appeared in the middle of the transport ship with her and her subordinates circling it. An image of an old scruffy bearded officer addressing their mission. "Team 40, over the last 72 hours our colony was attacked by Batarian slavers. casualties unknown."

She could see one of her subordinates clenching their fists watching images of the burning settlements in the hologram. Seven thousand. SEVEN THOUSAND. That was the number of her brothers and sisters shipped away from their homes to be slaves. Mindoir, a colony under the alliance's protection, was being blatantly attacked by these slaver scum. It was disgusting.

"The local defense force has managed to repel them but we noticed that a large chunk of the population was now missing, no bodies, nothing."

A list of names and pictures of the ones who are missing now was shown, Man, woman…children. No one was spared. Every image of humans being shown only resolves Hana to kill as many batarians that day.

"We tracked their location to a notorious slaver base. Anbu believes that a large chunk of those missing people are on the surface of this moon. Torfan. Your mission is to locate these missing persons and call for extractions. Our main force will provide a distraction while your team strikes from behind. Is that understood?" Hana carefully assessed the route the Hologram had made for them and nodded.

"Understood admiral. Hana out."

The Hologram was shut down and the bay of the transport ship was opened with a clambering sound revealing the moon's small blue atmosphere. One of her subordinates was shaking. A newly minted special jounin on his very first actual combat mission. Still, there must be a reason why the admiral wants him on the mission.

"Calm down Kishima. We have a mission to do."

The man who was barely leaving his teenage years steeled himself with resolve. There was a fire in those eyes, a fire that burned brightly in every soldier in this operation, and with just one glance she knew he was ready. She knew all of them were ready.

"Yes maa…"

Before he could speak a missile hit the transport ship. Before the ship became a falling ball of fire Hana shouted his order. "The light is green!"

All of her team jumped, the wind grazed her cheeks and a smile formed on her face. She always loved this kind of operation. The freedom she felt was exhilarating. Kishima was screaming his lungs out while her second-in-command was laughing like a maniac. Hana smirked, writing more in her mind for more free fall training with her team. A cloud was blocking her way, she tightened her body and fastened her fall. For a few seconds, there was nothing she could see, only faints of light as the cloud fogged her senses. Hana tried to sense her subordinate with her chakra feeling that they were not that far behind her.

As she passed through a cloud sound of gunfire and ships falling through the sky greeted her. Humanity has given its fire asunder now meeting its surface blowing out any enemy unlucky enough to be in its damage of impact. Rows of alliance warships provide cover fire against the base anti-air gun, protecting the main assault force.

The base was protected by a ridge, small battle lines were formed with an assortment of species, mostly Batarian, firing shot after shot against the main landing party. The alliance shinobi didn't sit idle either. The moment they stepped out of the transport ship, walls of earth were erected, and fire jutsu enhanced by wind chakra let out a torrent of fire to their enemy. Batarians burned to a crisp, letting out screams of pain, music to her ear. Following the admiral's plan, she steered her body behind the enemy line with her team following behind her. Their enemy focused on the main force and didn't notice a small team would wreck their line.

Seconds away before her feet met the ground, she activated a seal in her boots, and pillars of fire slowed her down. Rolling to soften the impact, she pulled her sword from its scabbard dicing the nearest Batarian in half. Its teammate noticed her with a terrified scream and aimed its gun at her only for its skull to be pierced by a kunai from her second in command.

Not wanting to waste more time by congratulating her subordinate, she descended from the mountain with chakra-enhanced jumps killing any mercenaries in her way.

Kishima, the son of a gun, surprised her with his boldness. He used an earth Jutsu to make the ground quake every time he jumped and entered an enemy gunship slaughtering every Xeno bastard in it with mechanical efficiency.

Hana broke away from her impressive rookie, choosing to focus on a very serious problem. A tank barrel now directly aiming at her team and by the looks of it the tank was ready to fire.

Without a second thought, Hana with blinding speed even for a jounin did the necessary seals and channeled her chakra to her lungs, heating it.

" FIRE STYLE: MAJESTIC DESTROYER FLAME!!!"

A Giant wave of encroaching flames erupted from her mouth. The sheer power of her jutsu and its speed was so great that her body was pushed using her legs as support and even that wasn't enough as the ground itself cracked. The tank was carried upward riding the flame and then exploding. Charred ground, burning bodies, and melted metal and equipment were the only things left from her jutsu devastation.

Hana isn't your typical jounin, you're not a typical jounin if an Uzumaki is interested in you. She is without a doubt, Kage level. The strongest Kage-level shinobi who isn't from any clan or highly vaunted bloodlines. A civilian through and through. Her background didn't impede her progress, no, it made her train harder, work smarter, and grow the biggest pair of balls in human space even if she is a woman. A woman who will get things down with better resolve than a Uzumaki. The will of fire may have let her down, heck her gods may have let her down.

But she? Hana Shepard, Jounin of Konoha, will not!

Torfan will no longer be remembered as the hive of scum and villainy.

That she promised that she would do.

And she has never failed.
