Izuku stared out over the city of Hosu, his dark-tinted goggles glinting in the morning sun as it slowly peaked over the edge of the city. "Nothing," he muttered as a few of his hounds materialized at his side, all of them looking downtrodden, "we find the scent, but the trail leads us nowhere. They're still in the city, but they're somewhere that's covering that trace…" he looked over as Seras landed beside him, "isn't there a way to track down members of the clergy?" he asked.
"Other than going to their churches, no." Seras said, sitting down on the edge of the building, rubbing the weariness from her tired eyes, "they'll stick their heads out soon Izuku, for now let's get some rest, can't run on fumes now, can we?"
"Sleeping during the day, what a novel idea." Izuku sighed as they made their way to the hotel Seras had checked into, each of them getting their own room.
His phone rang before he could even take his boots off, "wakeful dead speaking." Izuku mumbled as he kicked off his shoes and fell back into bed, sighing in content.
"Hey, figured I'd call and see how your first night went." Kyoka said on the other end of the line, sounding as tired as he felt, "I missed your call last night."
"I'm sure your first day was as busy as mine." he mused, closing his eyes as he spoke.
"Mostly patrols and workouts, we're going over paperwork today." Kyoka said, "any luck finding your wayward angels?"
"None at all." Izuku groaned, rolling over in the bed and hugging a nearby pillow, "they're in Hosu, but my hounds keep losing the scent, we're hoping they'll move tomorrow night, hopefully we'll run into them."
"Hopefully." Kyoka agreed, "Did you see Iida any?"
"I doubt he's getting Night shifts." Izuku said lightly, "but I've been keeping an eye out, a lot of the alleyways smell of blood here."
"Be careful, please?" she sighed, "we're not there to back you up this time."
"I'll be careful." he promised, "i'm going to get some sleep, have a wonderful day, my dear countess."
"Sleep soundly, my dear count." she chuckled before hanging up the phone."
Izuku sighed as he plugged his phone in, he was asleep before he was finished turning over.

Temari panted as she ducked and dodged Torino's lightning quick strikes, each one a hair's breadth from hitting her.
"You know how to use that power of yours for hitting! But the speed and flexibility of it is what you're missing!" Torino laughed as he rocketed around his living room, catching the girl off guard as he drove a fist into the back of her head, sending her sprawling, "so much like All-Might, that means I get to train you the same way!"
Temari rolled back to her feet, catching the next punch in her fist, a feral grin answering her mentors as she shot a fist forward.
The grin disappeared when Gran easily flipped over the attack and slammed his leg down on her head once more, sending her crashing to the ground in a heap, "not too bad kid, but you'll need more years under your belt before you can land a clean hit on me." he checked his watch, frowning at the time, "we'll be heading into Tokyo tonight, get you some patrol time in an area with more crime in it then this quiet town."
Temari sat up, groaning, "why all the way to Tokyo? Hosu's right there." she questioned.
"Heh, you think I'm about to let you into the area where the hero killer is? Don't make me laugh kid." Gran scoffed as he strode over to his refrigerator, "besides, Tokyo's gonna have less of a hero presence with most heading to Hosu to try and catch the vagrant." he gave her a look, "I know you want to prove yourself, but the hero killers a little out of your league."
"I know that," she scoffed, shifting a bit, "two of my friends have their internships in Hosu, I was just hoping to check in with them."
"I'm sure they're fine, so long as they're not idiots." he humphed, "try to put them out of your mind, you can always call them your next break, now get up! Time to get some food in ya before we head out!"

Izuku groaned as he blearily opened his eyes, the setting sun peaking through his window and casting a lone ray of sunshine into the room.
"Izuku? You up?" Seras called from the door, making Izuku groan louder as he forced himself up.
"Now I am." he grumbled, wiping the sleep from his eyes as he put his boots back on, stepping out into the hallways where Seras was waiting, "any word?" he asked.
"There was some chatter about a few priests stalking around downtown," she said as they both began heading for the stairs, "we can start there and branch out, your dogs have been searching yeah?"
"Yes." Izuku confirmed, climbing the steps up onto the roof, looking about for a bit, "I fear I'll be letting Yosuke down if we don't find them soon."
"If we don't find them this week, I'll stick around longer to continue on." Seras reassured him, "we'll find them soon, I'm sure."
Izuku nodded slowly, pulling his mask up fully, "lets go." he said, launching himself off the building, Seras right behind them.

She was glad the man had appeared when he had to save them. Even if that wasn't what he had intended to happen.
The Hero Killer had simply been doing what his title suggested, trying to kill a hero; though Anderson was no ordinary hero and had only been stalled from killing the crazed villain by Gabriel launching him back with a well placed strike of his mace.
They'd gone their separate ways, and she was glad for it. She could feel the tainted aura the man bled from the lives he took; and she could see the bloodied skull hanging prominently over his head, a broken rope and lightning bolts joining it every so often.
The signs of heartbreak and death. A lot of it.
She didn't want to be anywhere near such a creature.
She was glad her brother took them into the sewers, where they-admittedly-gotten lost, but she wasn't too worried; she knew that soon they would be within the sights of their salvation.
"Helena, quit daydreaming." Gabriel snapped at her as he walked back down the damp tunnel to grab his sister's wrist once more, "we need to keep moving, something stalks us."
"Perhaps they are friends?" Helena suggested, her voice far away as Gabriel rushed them through junctions.
"Doubtful, our friends cannot help us." Gabriel muttered, glancing too and fro as they reached a ladder, "you first, in case they try to blitz us."
Helena rolled her eyes, but began climbing, quickly reaching a manhole cover that she got open with a bit of work. "It's clear, come up!" she called down to her brother, straightening up and making sure her hood was still up. Gabriel finally pulled himself into the alley, placing the cover back in place before ushering his sister down the cluttered alleyway.
"We should be close to downtown now." he whispered, bringing his own cloak around him in a bid to keep himself hidden as they began to reach a street, the sound of hundreds of people milling about beginning to reach their ears.
"STOP!"
The two froze, Gabriel's hand grasped his mace as he looked behind them, where three men of the clergy stood. Helena's gasp had Gabriel looking ahead, where two more had appeared.
"Gabriel, Helena.' one said, the moonlight reflecting off his half moon spectacles as he stepped forward, "there is nowhere left to run, return to the church."
"Never.' Gabriel growled, Helena's eyes darted between their assailants, a small smile beginning to grace her lips, "you cannot force us."
"Can't we?" the man asked, his voice gaining a dangerous edge.
"You have no power here." Helena spoke up, she could see it, the shadows moved, the wings of the savior were blazing above her brother. Lightning bolts over their enemies, "this is the domain of the No-Life King. and he doesn't take kindly to trespassers."
As if on queue, a pack of shadowy hounds exploded into being around the two wayward children, the Iscariot agents all took a step back at the demonic dogs, the one at it's head chillingly familiar as it seemed to leer at them.
"What's going on over here!?"
Helena perked up, her eyes finding four heroes stalking towards them from the crowded street, a bull horned hero a their head, snorting as he came to a stop at the mouth of the alleyway, "step away from those kids." he ordered the five agents,
"This is a private matter." the lead Iscariot said, trying to keep a pleasant smile up while internally cursing fate, "two wayward souls who've strayed too far from their rightful places."
"We won't go back." Gabriel said again, his confidence bolstered by the heroes and the appearance of these shadowy dogs, who was he to look a gift horse in the mouth?
The lead hero noticed the pack, his eyes narrowing, "I didn't ask if this was a private matter, I said step away from those kids." he said again, the other two heroes seeming to puff up at his words, trying to intimidate whoever these people were.
"They are wards of the Vatican." another agent said, taking a step forward.
One of the dogs snarled and lunged at him, making him jump back, "you flea bitten mongrel!" he snapped, pulling a gun.
Almost immediately a whip of water suddenly lashed around his arm, "don't even think about it!"Manual ordered holding a hand out to stop the armored hero behind him from interfering, while the bull hero Tauros lifted the two in front of him by the hems of their robes, slamming them together before tossing them to the ground.
"Those dogs are from that UA kid." the third hero-Psyche-, her eyes glowing as she held the last two agents in place with telekinesis, "they must have a reason to protect these two from you five."
"You don't know what you interfere with." the lead Iscariot spat.
"We can clear it up at the precinct, which is where you'll all be-TAUROS WATCH OUT!" Manual shouted a split second before a car was suddenly slammed into the hulking hero.
"What the-" Psyche gasped as she was forced to jump back, the two of the dogs had tackled the children out of the way to safety, half of the pack getting taken out alongside Tauros, Psyche dodged once more as the last three vatican agents pulled guns and began firing at the heroes.
"Tenya! Get those two to safety!" Manual ordered, his attention split between the firefight with the vatican, and the two monstrous beasts that were lumbering down the street, attacking terrified bystanders and other heroes rushing to engage them.
"I can't just-" Tenya began.
"GO!" Tauros snapped as he hauled the car that had been thrown at him into the air, launching it back at Nomu, who blasted it out of the air with an energy blast from it's mouth.
Tenya hesitated only a few moments more before he was suddenly blitzing down the alley, his arms hooking around the two teens as he went.
"Damn it! After-" the lead Iscariot was cut off as Manual blasted him with a torrent of water.
"Focus on the fight here." Manual ordered while Tauros ran to engage the monsters.
The night had just gotten more interesting.

"That was close." Gabriel panted as they ran alongside Iida, "many thanks, friend, for the save."
"Worry not!" Iida proclaimed, "It was simply my duty!"
The two surviving members of the shadow pack flanked Helena, their noses to the sky trying to suss out the best route to safety.
One paused at the mouth of another alleyway, its fur standing on end as Iida slid to a stop beside it.
"Why are you stopping?" Helena asked breathlessly, her eyes widening as she saw storm clouds gather over Tenya's head, lightning, tears and blood all cycling as she tried to reach out towards him.
"Don't-" she cried out, but Tenya was already blitzing away once more.
"Damned fool." Gabriel swore as he ran after him, already seeing what had caught Tenya's attention, "Helena! Stay here!"
"No, no, no, no, no!" she rambled, stumbling after them, 'come back! Both of you!"

Midoriya ran as fast as he could across the rooftops, "I smell blood in the air." he growled as a Baskerville appeared beside him and Seras,"report."
"Two of the pack are with the children." Alucard's voice rumbled, "Iscariot Agents were confronted by heroes during one of their attempts to capture them, that confrontation itself was interrupted by Nomu, two of different variations then the first you came into contact with at the USJ."
Izuku felt his blood run cold, but then shook his head, "our priority is the children," he said, sharing a look with Seras, "besides, I can smell a familiar brunette in the area, if I know anything about her-" he paused as he suddenly whirled around, the Casul appearing in his hand as he blasted away three holy bayonets, "I dared not hope you survived." he cried out gleefully at the familiar silhouette grabbing a handful of bayonets in his hand, "but it seems Saint Guillotine still lives!" His gleeful smile fell a bit behind his mask as he noticed that his hair was red instead of blonde, his beard adolescent, and his green eyes glaring with a cold chill that had never been present in Anderson's blue fire.
"You're not Alexander Anderson." he whispered, slowly reaching up and pulling his goggles off.
"And you're not Alucard." the man retorted, giving him a tooth filled grin that was so close to Anderson's own, "but I'll kill ya all the same."
Izukucocked his head to the side, "Seras." he said, "go to the children, I'll deal with this…papist."
Seras hesitated, then nodded, "careful, holy weapons-" She began.
"-will affect me much more than regular weaponry," Izuku drawled, hefting Casul, "don't worry, I can handle it."
Seras grinned and took off.
"Who said you could leave!?" The paladin roared as he threw his bayonets, each one blasted out of the air as Izuku jumped in front of him.
"She moves under the protection of the Count of UA." Izuku hissed, steam puffing out of his mask as he lunged at the Anderson wannabe, forced to dodge as bayonets appeared in his hands, slashing through his mask and through one arm as he jumped back.
"So they shall fear the name of the lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun;" the paladin droned as he brought his two bayonets in front of him, forming a cross with their blades as the arm Izuku lost slowly recreated itself, a feral grin exposing his sharp fangs, "for he will come like a rushing stream, which the wind of the lord drives."
Izuku reloaded the Casul, bringing it to his mouth.
"Through you we push down our foes; through your name, we tread down those who rise up against us. Amen."
He clamped the slide with his teeth, pulling it back to load a round in the chamber, his eyes flashed red in the dark of the night as the streets of Hosu burned below them.
"Come, Judas Priest," Izuku sneered, leveling Casul at him, "let us see if you do your predecessor proud!"

Temari looked up as the train shuddered to a stop, "what was that?" she questioned, looking over at Gran Torino, who shrugged as he looked down the aisle.
"We shouldn't be at our destination yet," he muttered.
A flash outside the window and Temari looking over in surprise as plumes of smoke began to reach into the sky, the orange blazes that fueled them casting a horrid glow upon the city of Hosu.
"What the hell- '' She began before the cart was rocked by a giant blur breaking through its side, pinning a bloodied hero to the ground.
And for a moment, horror filled her as she saw Nomu, but it wasn't exactly the Nomu she knew, with pale skin and long, lanky limbs.
Rage replaced horror as she saw the hero it had brutalized and-a split second before Gran Torino acted, Temari moved.
A powerful uppercut sent the monster flying out of the hole it had created, crashing through the barrier wall before continuing on it's way back into the city, "Gran-" she started, looking at her mentor.
"Go." he said grimly, "you have your chance to prove yourself, make it count."
Temari grinned as she launched herself out of the train, blue arcs of electricity filling the air as she jumped from building to building, landing on the street she'd sent the Nomu crashing into, where it was working on shaking off the hit she'd just landed, it roared as suddenly it lashed out at her, it's thin arm shattering the concrete as she jumped into the air.
"Strong, aren't ya?" she asked as she landed on the side of the building, pushing off face with enough force to shatter its surface, it launched its tongue at her and she easily rolled out of its way, another hard hit driving it deep into the street, "Stay down."
"H-hey kid! You can't use your quirk-" a nearby hero shouted, his voice shaky from seeing the Nomu land in front of him, he'd thought he'd gotten far enough from the fight to see any of them.
Obviously he was wrong.
"Relax," Temari cut him off with a dismissive wave, "UA HIT student, I got permission, do you know if there were any others?"
"T-t-there were two more downtown, a flying one and-and a hulking strong one!" he stuttered out, "you're better off staying here."
Temari sneered, "like I'm gonna be sitting back." She said, 'Make sure the cops come by to detain this one." with that she jumped back into the sky.
She had two more Nomu to find and take out.
