Chapter 77 – Family
Ines, was feeling much better and much more awake. Since the moment that Gracy had left to get the kids, and waiting for the rest of the family to arrive from the Council, after Luke inform them she had awake, that a nurse had return to check on her IV and told that it would be remove later. Dan and Ken Sr had left but promised to return later on, leaving Luke and Ines alone with R2, who kept himself at the entrance of the door of her hospital room.
Few minutes later, Gracy entered in the room, holding the twins hands and be followed closely by Ben.
"Look who I have here and are eager to see their mother," Gracy said with smile, especially when she saw the kids running towards their mother.
"Mama!" the twins said, trying to climb the bed to be with her.
"Girls, mama has a cut on her tummy, you can't climb on the bed," Luke told them, making the girls look at him and pout.
"We wont hurt mama," Alli said.
"Let them be here," Ines replied, which made Luke nod and raising the girls with the force, so the girls could climb on the bed.
"Alli be careful with mama on that side," Luke said.
"I know," Alli replied looking at her father, as she crawl slowly and lay next to Ines, on her left side, while Padmé lay on the right side, making Ines smiled and wrapped her arms around her girls, while the 4 years old twins rest their head on her chest.
"And how are you, by sweet boy?" she asked looking at her son, running her finger through his brown hair.
"I'm okay. But how about you? Are you better now?" he asked, clearly concern.
"I'm fine now, sweetie. I swear!"
Gracy smiled but she looked at her time.
"Well I need to see my kids too. Your mother is a little busy right now, so she asked if in an hour you can pick up Luke, since he's still taking his nap, and she will visit you in time to get the kids back home."
"Okay, don't worry. Thanks Gracy!" Luke told her as his sister in law left the room, leaving them alone.
"Are you coming home today, mama?" Alli asked, playing with a string of her mother's long brown hair.
"Not today sweetie. But maybe tomorrow." giggling when her daughter pout.
"I miss you," Padmé replied.
"I miss you too, but you are in grandma Amidala's home. Aren't you happy to be there?" she asked them.
"Yeah. Uncle Ezra is funny," Alli answered smiling.
"Are you 2 behaving? Cause I know your brother is for sure, but I know you two very well," she said laughing, when Ben looked at her.
"You already know the answer, mom."
"I know baby," she said looking at her girls.
Then they heard voices coming from the entrance.
"Hey kid."
Looking at the door they smiled when they saw familiar faces entering in the room.
"Mistress Ines, is so good to see fully well."
"Thanks 3PO!"
"Master Luke was very worried, just like the time you and little Ben almost die, years ago," 3PO continue, making R2 beeped upset at him, making 3PO looked at it, while the kids giggled, since they were the only ones besides 3PO that understood R2.
"What do you mean I can't say that. It happens, we can just forgot." the protocol droid spoke, making R2 beeped at him. "Oh shut off."
Rolling his eyes, Han got closer to Ines and kissed her forehead.
"Glad to see you're fine."
"Thanks Han!"
"Papa gave his blood to mama, just like he did to me. And we are beautiful and strong," Alli said making the adults laughed.
"I want to be beautiful and strong too," Padmé pout. "I want papa's blood too." she said said looking at her father.
"But you already have the moment mama and papa made you. And so do your siblings. Meaning you already are beautiful and strong too," Luke said kissing her forehead, laughing when Padmé frown.
"When you get older mama will explain to you better," Ines said to her. "But I want to know what happened?"
They looked at each other.
"Well let's say Han defended Boba," Leia said making Luke and Ines eyes wide open.
"You did that?"
"Hell must be frozen right now," Luke reply.
"What is that suppose to mean, kid. They were doubting about what he and Fennec were saying, because they worked for the Empire and you know who. So I was sick of that."
"You did good," Luke replied towards his brother and law. "But is everything okay now?"
"Yes and we are welcome here anytime now," Boba replied.
"It is time to go," Fennec said looking at him.
"Leaving already?" Ines replied playing with her daughters hair."
"We need to get back to Tatooine," Boba replied. "Rex will go with us too."
"Uncle Boba can we go to your palace and play with your Rancor when we be in Papa's home planet?" Padmé asked right away.
"Of course you can. You are welcome in the palace any times you want," Boba replied.
"We will think about the rancor part," Luke said. "But you are welcome to our home any time too. And you too Rex."
"Thanks. And feel better soon Ines," Rex said and saying goodbye, the 3 of them left the room.
"And what about you. What happened to the virus?" Ines asked looking at Ezra and Ahsoka.
"The virus was destroyed in a control environment, but not without making an antidote just in case," Ahsoka said right away.
"That's good," Ines said.
"And what did the doctor say?" Leia asked.
"She will be fine. Later she will change the bandage and maybe tomorrow afternoon she can go home," Luke informed them.
"And what do you plan to do?" Han asked to Ezra who looked at him.
"I don't know to be honest. Your mother has being super nice to let me stay in her home during these days. But I was thinking that I need at least going to Lothal and check things out. I got my lightsaber. Hera gave it back to me from Sabine. But I really don't know."
"I told him that he could teach in the Temple." Ahsoka replied.
"That is a great idea, right sweetheart?" Ines said looking at Luke.
"Yes. An extra hand would be awesome."
"Me, a Jedi Master?" Ezra said.
"Yeah. We will have more students coming and even if our first ones, are helping, but it is always great to have someone who had being a Jedi for a long time and I'm sure your former Master Kanan would be proud." Luke continue to say. "And having your lightsaber already is a plus."
Looking at all of them, Ezra smiled.
"Okay then, it will be a pleasure." he said making the kids happy.
"See you already have fans." Leia laughed.
"I will start next season in the Dad's Academy," Ben said all proud.
"I know and apparently so do I," Ezra said winking at the kids.
"I'm glad that everything is okay now," Han said making Chewie growled.
"But Chewie is right, we need to continue to be careful cause Empire sympathizers continue out there." Luke said making everyone nod.
Right now they were at peace but for how long?
Ezra will be a teacher in Luke's Jedi Academy.
