Chur guys! I'm going to rewrite my last adaptation of this story, "The Fang of The Earth-king" to be precise.
I'm just gonna be filling in the plot holes and making it more interesting, because I've noticed that my story "Naruto: The Earthbender" is becoming more of an anime filler than a cartoon/anime crossover, and when I read through it, it was better written but it sounded to, like, posh-mouthed-written.
So this rewrite is going to be my redemption.
It's still gonna have it's usual characters, but I might make Naruto have a harem consisting of "Ty-Lee: The Acrobatic Freak" as the first, than coming "Temari: The Sand Mistress", and finishing it off with "Suki: The Fan Maiden". If you read my last adaptation you'd no I wasn't decisive enough with pairings, but now I got them down lock.
But ummm… turns out that the first four chapters were rewritten over for my other story, so I didn't take up too much space, (─.─||）so I'm gonna be starting from scratch. But the first two chapters didn't take that long to post and write, so I should be able to do it again this time, but better.
Chapter: 1
XxX~ ( Ba Sing Se ) ~XxX
It was a cold windy evening in the "impenetrable city", people's goods were flying off their stands in the night market while some poorer kids were going around stealing them.
A man standing on a utility pole was peering his electric blue's down on the city, he used his incredible control over the earth to see from the pole. He could see kids being beaten for stealing, another woman being sexually-assaulted by a pervert, and a pack of dogs feasting on one of their own kind.
'What a dreadful place.' the man with blue eyes thought. He decided to handle these pity crimes in his city.
First he jumped to the left, once he got some distance he pulled out a grapple hook and hooked it onto another utility pole and swung into the alley where the three kids were being beaten up. Two were male while the last was female.
"This is what you get!" one of the men the kids stole from shouted, stepping on the feminine looking boy's arm.
An ashy-blonde man dropped from above in front of the kids, putting some space between them and the man.
"Who are you?" another man asked, while holding the girl by the hair, she had a bloody nose along with her hair being almost torn out.
"No one important." the blonde man slammed his foot into the alleyway floor and broke into a sprint for the man holding the girl. He performed a 540 kick to the man, dropping the girl and bounced off him into a somersault kick onto the second member's shoulder and finished his assault by grabbing the last man by the neck and pushing him into the wall.
"What are you doing?!" the first man asked, holding his cheek. The blonde encased them in earth before saying:
"My job." he then knocked each of them out, "People these days can be incredibly annoying. Justice is what will meet them on the other side of their distasteful deeds." the blonde said in a monotone.
"Thank you mister." the girl thanked politely and offered him some dirty bread.
The man leaned down, he pulled his mask off, showing a handsome face marred by three whisker-like birthmarks.
"Pretty…" the little girl with the bread said before reaching out to touch his cheek, he let her and caught the hands of the other boys inside his black cloak. He takes the bread and "drops" 2000 yuan casually and jumps to the rooftops, intent on stopping the assault a couple buildings down.
'Spend it wisely, Rugrats.' the man thought while landing on the ledge of another building.
"Stop!" the quite beautiful woman shrieked while thrashing underneath the dirty man.
She kicked his balls but he just sat there above her.
"Sorry Sweetheart, I've lost the feeling of pain a looooong~ time ago." the old man drunk on liquor most-likely slurred out.
"HELP!"
The man from earlier quietly jumped out of the earth, silently peering over the man's shoulder.
"I hate swine like you…" he said into the man's ear.
"Hey bud, wait your turn with the bitch!"
His immediate reply was an elbow to the back of his head.
"OW! Hey, you're gonna (hick) pay for that!" the man pulled out a pocket knife and ran after the blonde while the brunette woman ran out the alley.
"We all are sinners that must pay for our despicable crimes against humanity." the blonde replied while parrying the man's blade.
"I ain't soo gwod with reddals~?"
"Don't worry, you won't remember to figure out this riddle." the blonde said in a hypnotic tone before punching the pervert into unconsciousness.
"Now rest in peace…" the man slipped into the ground before tunnelling towards the Earth-king's palace.
'Those dogs are following nature, eat one's young for nutrients and so the body will remain inside…'
…You can be cold sometimes, big-brother…
XxX~ ( Flashback - 5 years ago - Fire Nation ) ~XxX
"HA!"
"Be more fluid with your forestrike." a blonde boy commanded while parrying another strike from a red-haired nine year old.
"HYA!" the redhead did what his brother said, being more fluid and smooth with his swings.
A blonde kid about the age of twelve and a redhead about the age of nine were sparring with bokkens, the blonde was coaching the younger boy with the correct strikes and motions.
"UGH! I'm doing what you're telling me to do, but I can't do it!" the red-haired boy said with a huff, throwing his bokken on the grassy floor. The blonde smiled and picked up the beginners weapon.
"Menma, how are you going to be able to handle a real blade if you can't perform the correct katas with the bokken?" the blonde asked. The redhead huffed again, puffing his cheeks out with an embarrassed blush.
He whispered something under his breath that his brother did not catch. Leaning down, he pushed his ear out, waiting for a louder answer.
"What was that?" he asked teasingly.
"I'm not as strong as you…" Menma said quietly, the blonde grinned.
"Of course not, I'm stronger than most at my age!" he replied while flexing his biceps. The younger of the brothers sadly sniffled.
"You can be cold sometimes, big-brother…" Menma said with a sad pout.
"Hey, I'm joking ok…" the blonde leaned down to meet his brother. "You said you weren't as strong as me." Menma nodded, "It's because you're stronger."
Menma hugged the blonde boy with a loud laugh. The blonde offered him the bokken and Menma snatched it out of his hands, he entered a low stance with the sword going over his head, he beckoned him to advance.
"Come at me, Naruto!" Menma called out, Naruto grinned, entering his own stance.
"Gladly!"
They both ran at one another before their swords were grabbed by whips of fire.
"MOM!?"
"It's dinner time boys!" A beautiful redhead called out, she wore a white apron.
XxX~ ( Flashback end ) ~XxX
The blonde was seen walking in the halls of the Earth-king's palace. He opened a set of huge doors shutting them behind him.
Kuei, the Earth-king of Ba Sing Se clapped his hands happily.
"Ah! My trusty fang, Naruto. How was your trip to the Si Wong Desert?" Kuei asked Naruto.
"It was ok." Naruto said, looking away slightly with a little, tiny blush. Kuei caught this and grinned.
"Ohh~ I'm guessing you got some action?" Kuei said, Naruto shook his head of the embarrassment and became serious.
"I do have some interesting news." Naruto said, Kuei at that moment became the Earth-king. He leaned his on his interlocked fingers.
"Enlighten me." Earth-king ordered, Naruto bowed on his knee.
"The Avatar has returned, the last airbender is alive." Naruto surveyed. Earth-king nodded, he'd seen the wanted posters of the young airbender.
"Yes, I am aware of that little detail. Is that all?" Earth-king asked questioningly. Naruto shook his head.
"There is also a humongous drill-like machine slowly approaching the outer wall of Ba Sing Se." Naruto explained, the Earth-king stood from his throne, he walked towards Naruto and circled him.
"I am supposed to be the king of this city… the protector…" the Earth-king said calmly. Naruto was a bit confused.
"I'm sorry sir, but I don't understand what you're getting at." Naruto said confusedly.
"I AM SUPPOSED TO BE THEIR PROTECTOR!" the Earth-king shouted at Naruto who took the full brunt without flinching. Kuei rubbed his head. "Why wasn't I notified sooner of this development?" Kuei wondered, his advisor, Long-Feng, was supposed to keep watch for any detectable movement of enemies.
"Sir, what would you like me to do?" Naruto asked politely. Kuei turned back around to face his most trusted soldier.
"Destroy it. Send the enemy, whoever it is, a message for me." Kuei said with his arms behind his back.
"And that would be?"
"Do not underestimate our power…" Kuei then became playful. "And knowing you, you'd probably add in your own little quip." Naruto smirked and nodded.
"Yes sir!" Naruto saluted. He fell backwards and slipped beneath the earth floor before sealing the opening up.
Kuei narrowed his eyes at his watch, it was a slow watch, it would tell him when the Sozin's Comet would come.
How does he know about the comet? Naruto told him all the Fire Nation's secrets, all its strategies that he knew the Fire Nation were going to use against its enemies, and Naruto surveyed how Sozin's comet comes every one hundred years.
Kuei's watch was black with a Fire Nation insignia in the center.
"It's almost time." Kuei whispered.
XxX~ ( Fire Nation - Fire-lord's chambers ) ~XxX
Fire-lord Ozai's chambers were large, very large, there was a large palanquin-type throne he was seated on, he was surrounded by a stream of everlasting fire.
Fire-lord Ozai sat patiently on his throne, he had tasked Azula and his angels to burrow a hole through the Ba Sing Se wall so they could conquer the city.
He was waiting for them to return as soon as possible with the head of the Earth-king under his foot. He did not respect most people in the world, but Kuei was one he respected; being able to hide away from the world without so much as lifting a finger was astounding, but he managed to do it, and was able to protect his city at the same time.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK– BANG!
Ozai's doors were suddenly thrown off their hinges, an older looking Menma came trudging through holding the body of a bounty hunter that was destroying Fire Nation bases for rival nations.
"Here!" Menma called out before chucking the man to Ozai.
Ozai stared down at the man who was battered and bloodied.
"Take him to a cell." Ozai ordered one of his guards.
"Oi, old man! I want my money!" Menma demanded, holding his hand out. Menma was 14 years old with red hair that stopped at his neck and two bangs hanging loosely down his head, framing his good-looking face perfectly.
"Here." Ozai tossed a gold coin at Menma who caught it and threw it back, denting the wall behind the Fire-lord.
"I said "I want my money", not scraps. Gimme my money and we won't have problems." Menma threatened, Ozai stood.
"Are you defiling your Fire-lord?" Ozai asked the younger bender.
"No, I did my deed and I want my reward. Now pay up, or else." Menma further threatened Ozai. The Fire-lord disappeared in fire before reappearing in front of Menma.
Menma did not look away from his amber eyes.
"You think I'm afraid of you?" Menma asked, he backstepped from a lowkick from Ozai and jumped over the stream that came out of his feet. He rebounded, using Ozai as a surface to push off, he then sent a condensed blast of fire to Ozai who took control of it and sent it to the wall.
"I expect to have my money soon, or this nation will tragically find its Fire-lord dead." Menma said and with that jumped out the hole he created.
"My, my. Kushina, you have a fine bender for a son." Ozai smirked before situated himself back on his throne.
"And that technique Menma created is amazing, using the heat in the air to teleport anywhere in the vicinity. Engenius!" Ozai complimented Menma for creating "fire travel" by studying under earthbenders and how they travel below ground using the earth to assist them, but he created a method with fire by using the fire lingering in the air to teleport.
He looked at his "Sozin's comet" watch, as it will tell him when his grandfather's comet will arrive.
XxX~ ( Next Day - Team Avatar ) ~XxX
Outside the walls of Ba Sing Se, there was a family of four and another group of five. Two of the members of the group were inside what looked like an earth tent and the other three were outside.
Aang wiped a tear from his eye as he laid eyes on the new born baby. "I've been going through a really hard time lately. But you've made me ... hopeful again."
Ying, the mother of the new born baby turned to face her husband. "I know what I want to name our baby now. Hope."
Than smiled and hugged his wife. "That's a perfect name. Hope."
Aang and Katara remove themselves from the tent. Aang meets with Katara. Suki, Sokka, and Toph stand next to the tent.
"I thought I was trying to be strong. But really I was just running away from my feelings. Seeing this family together, so full of happiness and love, its reminded me how I feel about Appa ... and how I feel about you." Aang said, facing Katara.
"Is that hug still available?" the bald monk asked, Katara shed some tears and nodded. Aang and Katara embraced, Katara's eyes still watering. The other three approached the two embracing.
"I promise, I'll find Appa as fast as I can. I just really need to do this." Aang said, Momo hops on Aang's shoulder.
"See you in the big city." Sokka said, rubbing the bald boy's head jokingly.
"Say hi to that big fuzzball for me." Toph said while punching Aang's arm very hard.
"You'll find him, Aang." Katara said with full confidence. Aang nodded and unsheathed his glider and used airbending to propel him into the air.
"Hey, mom, do you actually think he'll find him?" Toph asked, sending a jab to Katara's motherly side that's been nothing but a pain in her ass.
The waterbender growled before becoming nervous.
"I hope so…"
Suki approaches Sokka who was sitting on a rock shaving some wood off a stick with his water tribal knife.
"Sokka, it's been really great to see you again." Suki said.
"Whoa, hold on. Why does it sound like you're saying goodbye?" Sokka asked, jumping to his feet.
"I came along because I wanted to make sure you got through the Serpent's Pass safely. But now I need to get back to the other Kyoshi Warriors." she said, making Sokka's arms sag.
"So you came along to protect me?" Sokka asked, baffled. Suki looked away with a small blush.
"Listen, I'm really sorry about last night." Suki said embarrassingly.
Long-story-short, Sokka was feeling down about his ex-girlfriend who died. That night it was a full moon and his girlfriend died and became that moon. Suki caught onto his sadness and went to comfort him, but when she went to kiss him, he pulled away and left her heartbroken.
"Last night, it was.. It was a mistake. It didn't mean anything." Suki said and smiled. "I see now that your heart belongs to someone else." she said while looking at Toph who was picking her nose.
"Who?" Sokka asked, he was genuinely confused.
Suki shook her head. "You'll see."
XxX~ ( Aang ) ~XxX
Aang and Momo were flying to the top of the Outer Wall of Ba Sing Se. However, Aang quickly notices a large drill with a Fire Nation insignia, heading for the wall at a fast rate for something it's size.
"Sorry Momo, but I think Appa is going to have to wait for a while." Aang said while gazing from the top of the Outer Wall down to the drill.
