Regret.

This was the main feeling coursing through Izuna Uchiha's being as he looked over the clear and pristine river where he and his older brother Madara used to play when they were children.

Despite only being 21 years of age, Izuna felt as though his life had been thrice as long, with all the constant warfare against his clan's fiercest rivals the Senju. The memories of being a happy and carefree child were long in the past. Now he was a battle hardened warrior who felt absolutely nothing for anyone who was not an Uchiha. His father the Uchiha clan leader Tajima had already passed on three years prior due to a combination of his overuse of the Mangekyo Sharingan which rendered him nearly blind, and finally being bested by his arch rival Butsuma Senju. However as minuscule as it may be right now what made Izuna smile a little was that his father did not go down without also taking Butsuma with him.

If only he had used his Mangekyo ability, then he could have saved his younger brother Benjiro from getting slaughtered by those Senju bastards...

"Izuna! Izuna!" Madara's voice called out, snapping Izuna out of his melancholy trance.

"I am here brother." Izuna weakly muttered out, just enough for Madara to hear him.

Izuna gathered his composure as he wiped the tears from his eyes. A soft rustling was heard coming from the foilage behind Izuna, and soon coming out from it was none other than the current Uchiha clan head Madara.

"Izuna. What are you doing here? It is already night time." Madara asked his younger brother.

"I'm sorry Madara. I just got lost in my thoughts...at how I failed to protect yet another one of our brothers." Izuna answered sadly as he continued to look at the river.

Understanding his brother's predicament Madara sat down next to him.

"I understand how you feel Izuna. Benjiro's death has deeply affected us all." Madara told his brother.

"Brother...I am sorry that despite having mastered the Mangekyo Sharingan I did not use it to save Benjiro. I was...a coward. I was afraid of going blind like father if I used it. I thought I could save Benjiro without having to resort to the Mangekyo, but my foolishness cost him his life." Izuna sadly muttered.

Madara sighed. He could not even understand what his younger brother was going through. But as his last living brother he assured himself that if he could at least protect Izuna, then the sacrifices of his late father and three brothers would not be in vain in the journey to eventually create peace throughout this chaotic world.

"Come Izuna. We need head back to the village. Benjiro's funeral procession will be starting soon." Madara informed his brother as he stood up to make his way back to the Uchiha village. Izuna soon followed suit and walked with his only living brother back to the village.

"Brother...those Senju...I wanna kill every single one of them. I will make them pay for killing most of our family and every single Uchiha slaughtered in their name." Izuna declared as he activated his Sharingan.

"Do not worry Izuna, for tomorrow I assure you that we shall avenge our brother. Hashirama has sent me a letter asking that I meet him tomorrow so that our clans can finally come to a truce. His reason for doing so is that he wants our clans to create a village where neither no child has to experience the horrors of war. " Madara told Izuna.

"Brother. Do not believe his lies. His words are honeyed but false and no doubt he and his bastard of a brother are simply demanding this so called "truce" so that you may let your guard down and for them to ambush and assassinate you." Izuna warned his brother.

"I see. You make a good point Izuna. Tomorrow I want you come with me just in case Hashirama and Tobirama are planning such." Madara told his brother.

(The next day...)

Both clan heads of the Uchiha and Senju clans, Madara Uchiha and Hashirama Senju respectively, stood opposite one another with their swords drawn. As correctly predicted by Izuna Tobirama was there as well, which made Madara all the more grateful he brought his brother along with him.

Madara made the first move by dashing towards Hashirama and yelling his name, with Hashirama doing likewise.

Izuna and Tobirama too clashed blades, and for a moment it seemed as if Tobirama had the upper hand until Izuna activated his Sharingan, which briefly surprised Tobirama and gave Izuna an open window to kick him in the groin.

Tobirama was winded from Izuna's attack. Only before Izuna could strike the finishing blow Tobirama turned into a puddle of water.

"Water clones. Not bad Tobirama." Izuna complimented Tobirama as he met his blade from his five o clock with his own. The two seemed to be at a deadlock until Tobirama did something unexpected. He jumped backwards away from Izuna and threw multiple kunai at Izuna.

Izuna dodged all the kunai with ease until he noticed something was very off.

Even with his Sharingan activated, he saw a blur moving at him at an incredibly fast speed. All fears he had about using his secret Mangekyo ability disappeared quickly as Izuna quickly realized that if he did not act in these milliseconds, that he would meet the same fate as his father and brothers.

Despite barely knowing his own unique Mangekyo ability, Izuna activated it at just the right time, as right before Tobriama's sword could pierce his abdomen he noticed that Tobirama, and even his brother and Hashirama were gone, heck he wasn't even at that cliff anymore and was instead in some realm that emitted a bright blue light.

"What in the name of kami is going on?" Izuna asked himself as he covered his eyes with his hands.

30 seconds had passed and the bright light had faded. Izuna removed his hand from his eyes and noticed that he was now in a field similar to the one where he had fought Tobirama, only accept in the distance there were people in carriages accompanied by these larger iron carriages he had never seen before moving at a high speed towards something.

Izuna's mind: (Just where the hell am I? Could it be that my unique Mangekyo ability allows me to teleport to different worlds?)

He then heard one of the people in the carriages mutter a word in a language he had never heard before, and notices that a large winged lizard like creature was breathing fire from it's mouth.

"That thing...what is it?" Izuna asked himself as he gauged just how much destruction this creature was creating. Deciding to kill it himself Izuna ran towards the creature. He noticed that amongst the people were these men in green uniforms. Intrigued by their outfits but not interested in learning more about them Izuna leapt 30 feet into the air.

"Fire Style: Great Fire Anihilation!" Izuna screamed out as a sea of flames flowed out of his mouth and completely engulfed the creature. When the fires stopped Izuna noticed to his shock that the creature was unscathed.

"The eyes! Aim for the eyes!" He heard one the men in those carriages shout. Taking their advice Izuna jumped onto the creature's head and repeatedly stabbed it's eye until it ceased moving. Izuna heaved heavy after killing the creature as it's blood stained his kimono. That was when the those carriages approached him and upon stopping various people clad in green uniforms all began cheering for him.

Izuna found this rather peculiar. No one had ever cheered for him before, so why were these people cheering for him. One of the men in green uniform ran up to him and to his delight, actually spoke a language he understand.

"Whoa! That was so cool! How did you slay a Dragon all by yourself! And also why are you wearing clothing from the Feudal era, are you a cosplayer or something?" The man asked him in barely contained excitement.

Izuna slyly smirked. Good he thought, this man knows his place is below that of a mighty Uchiha such as himself.

"Sorry. I never even introduced myself. My name is Yoji Itami, what's yours?" Yoji introduced himself.

"Izuna Uchiha, and you better not forget the name." Izuna told Yoji in a no-nonsense tone.

"Izuna Uchiha. That's a Japanese name. Hey if you're from Japan and speaking Japanese then what are you doing here?" Yoji asked Izuna.

"What is this Japan you speak of? I've never heard of such a place." Izuna answered Yoji as he shot him a confused expression.

"How have you not heard of Japan!? You're literally wearing clothing from the Heian Period! Unless...you're a time traveler!" Yoji declared.

Izuna did not know what to say, how did this...man come to the conclusion that he was a time traveler?

"Hey you there. Why are your eyes red like that?" A new voice asked Izuna, this time coming from a young girl who was now standing next to this Yoji person.

"Yeah...why are your eyes red? Are they bloodshot?" Yoji asked

"What? No...it's...a special ability of mine that only my clan possess." Izuna explained himself.

"Clan? You come from a clan? Do they all have red eyes such as yourself?" The girl asked Izuna.

"Most of my clan yes, but only a select few such as myself have truly mastered this ability." Izuna said.

"Amazing..." The girl said in awe.

"By the way I'm Rory Mercury, a pleasure to meet you." The girl named Rory introduced herself.

"I am Izuna Uchiha." Izuna said in a flat voice.

"Yoji. I have a few questions for you. First where are you from and where am I?" Izuna asked.

"Huh? Oh yeah sure. I already told you I am from Japan. I am a First Lieutenant of the Japan Self Defense Force. In our capital city of Tokyo a gate suddenly came into existence, and said gate led to this world, which we have dubbed the 'Special Zone' Right now we are currently bringing refugees with us whose village was destroyed by that dragon you just killed back to our base in Alnus Hill." Yoji explained.

Izuna listened attentively to Yoji's words. It all confirmed his previous suspicions of him being in another world that was not his own. While he was thankful that his Mangekyo Sharingan ability had saved his life from Tobirama he now had the bigger issue of having to get back to his world.

"You. Take me with you. I want to know more about this world." Izuna instructed Yoji.

"Uh sure! Just get in the back of one of the trucks!" Yoji told Izuna.

"Truck?" Izuna said.

"Yes. That big green vehicle right over there. There is an openings at the back. You can wait there for the time being while me and the other soldiers pay our respects to the civilians who lost their lives to the dragon. It's gonna take us a few hours to bury all the bodies and conduct the memorial service, so please bear with us." Yoji asked of Izuna, who silently nodded in agreement.

A few hours had passed since Izuna had slayed the dragon and while sitting at the back of the truck, Izuna found the many starts that littered the sky quite beautiful. He quietly waited there until the soldiers were done saying their prayers to the civilians that died.

Ten minutes later Yoji showed up again and instructed Izuna to follow him. Doing as instructed Izuna followed Yoji who led him to a group of women. Most of these women were unremarkable to Izuna except for the one with the pointed ears. Odd, he had never seen such a physical trait in his world, could she perhaps have a birth defect Izuna thought.

All of the girls said something to him in a language he could not understand. This greatly frustrated Izuna, as he absolutely despised communication difficulties. To bypass this he used his Sharingan to read their lips and quickly learn their language.

"You there, why are you staring at us like that?" A girl with blue hair asked Izuna. To his suprise he could actually understand her as she was speaking the same language as himself.

"I am reading your lips to better understand your language." Izuna replied.

"Then why are your eyes red?" The girl asked him.

"Hmpf. It is something a non Uchiha such as yourself will neither have nor understand." Izuna replied coldly.

The blue haired girl shot Izuna a look of disdain, and she muttered something to other girls, no doubt about his comment Izuna thought to himself. Walking away from her Izuna silently watched more of these people conversing in their language.

A few minutes later of learning these otherworldly people's language by using his Sharingan to read their lips, Izuna could now understand clearly what they were saying now. He could hear the civilians muttering something about a 'red eyed warrior' no doubt referring to him.

"Who does this jerk think he is by saying that a 'non-Uchiha' will never understand why his eyes are like that?" A random male civilian asked.

"Yeah. And he keeps staring at us without saying a single word. It makes me uneasy." The blonde haired girl with long ears replied.

"I can understand that you are talking about me you know." Izuna told the people in their native language, which shocked them all.

"What...how did you...learn our language so quickly?" The blonde girl asked Izuna.

"I studied your lip movements, and my Sharingan did the rest." Izuna answered.

"So it's like a secret magical spell?" The girl innocently asked Izuna.

"You could say that." Izuna said as he began walking away from them.

"Hey mister. Since you can understand us now, what's your name?" The girl asked him.

"Izuna Uchiha." Izuna said nonchalantly.

"I'm Tuka Luna Marceau, and it's a pleasure to meet you Izuna!" Tuka happily said to Izuna, who looked completely indifferent.

"Sure...it's nice to meet you." Izuna said half heartedly.

Nearby Izuna heard and saw some of the "Self Defense Soldiers" saying their goodbyes to the other civilians as they parted ways.

Yoji again approached Izuna and casually placed his hand on his shoulder.

"Thanks again for killing that dragon for us Izuna, we owe you one." Yoji said.

"Don't get my intentions confused Itami, I'm not doing this for you, your defense force or these helpless chickens. I'm only helping you so that I may find a way back to my world. Understood?" Izuna coldly told Yoji, who didn't expect Izuna to snap back at him.

"Yeah...understood. Let's uh...head back to Alnus Hill." Yoji said with a nervous gulp.

"Good. Now take me there." Izuna ordered Yoji, who hastily complied in escorting him back to this Alnus Hill.

Walking not too far behind from Izuna and Yoji were Rory and Lelei.

"Rory. Is it me or is there something off about that man?" Lelei asked.

"Huh? You mean Izuna? I mean sure he can come across as a bit of a standoffish jerk but other than that he doesn't seem like the type who would align himself with the likes of Zorzal. After all he did slay the Fire Dragon for us, with just a sword nonetheless! Isn't that cool?" Rory replied.

"Yeah I guess that is a remarkable feat. I guess you make a good point Rory. Maybe I'm just overthinking it all." Lelei replied.

"Don't worry. Once we get to the green men's camp everything will be alright." Rory assured Lelei.

Meanwhile in Izuna's mind he was already devising a plan to get back to his world. Earlier today he tried to use his ability again but all it caused him was a searing pain in his right eye. By that analysis there was definitely a lengthy cool down period until he could use his Mangekyo ability again.

Izuna just had to patient, for everything would eventually fall in place. In the meantime he could learn more about this world and it's inhabitants.

After all, it was only a matter of time until he would be getting back home.

A/N: In case you are wondering in this universe Tajima was the first Uchiha to awaken the Mangekyo, hence why Izuna and Madara already know of it's affects before hand.
