The very next day, Jimmy restrained Kevin as he and the other Urban Rangers took him into the office.

"You can't give me detention! I'm the only one who does that, you Urban…Dorks!" complained Kevin.

"Save your rantings for your inmates, bub." Jimmy said as he shoved him into the holding room, where Kevin saw that Mandark and Lucy are in there.

"Oh, no." he said, shaking his head. "There is no way I'm sharing the same room with these dor…"

"Oh, shut up, will you?!" Mandark snapped, finally having enough. "I don't know why I put up with you jerks with your 'Detention, this,' 'Mandork, that,' 'Student body president, this,' 'No breaks after that.' You ruined my whole plans with your own stupid plans! You're all a bunch of selfish creeps!"

Once the door had been closed, Amelia clapped her hands, saying. "Well done, troops."

"Yes, very well done, indeed." agreed Mr. Dodo, who also clapped his hands alongside the Queen and Mrs. Chinn. "And if you keep this up, you'll be as good as Mr. Squarepants as Bowditch's new...HALL MONITORS!"

"Yes, sir!" The new Hall Monitor Patrol said with a salute.

"You catch on quick, Mr. D." said SpongeBob.

As they left the office in their new uniforms, Charlie Brown said. "Who would've thought we would go from being Urban Rangers to become the new HMP."

"Rolf knows, yes?" agreed Rolf.

"You better believe it." said Mowgli.

"What's that you said, Plank?" Jonny asked, then said to his new fellow hall monitors. "Plank says he'll could get used to this. Couldn't agree more, good buddy."

As Charlie Brown rolled his eyes, Shanti walked up to him, planting a kiss on his lips.

"Wha...uh..." Charlie Brown started to stutter.

"Think of it as a thank you for the save last night." said Shanti.

A blushing Charlie Brown started to fall backwards, but Mowgli managed to catch him, saying. "Come on, Quasimodo."

Shanti raised one of her eyebrows at Mowgli. "Quasimodo?"

The HMP walked towards Room 42, where outside, the Eds were relaying about what happened last night to Mrs. Edelschein's class as the Imaginaries, the Bunch, and Odette & Daniel watched.

"KA-BOOM!" exclaimed the normalized Ed. "The Dragoncinerator exploded this way and that, like in the movies."

"I should know." Mrs. Edelschein said to her class. "I was one of the many few that saw it happening."

"Ooooh!" exclaimed the class.

"I'll admit," said Eddy. "I didn't believe Nathan's stories at first. But after what we've been through yesterday, I believe them now."

"Speaking of Nathan, here he comes!" Jonny said, pointing at me walking past the Drama room, receiving a big round of applause and cheers from everyone as I came closer to Room 42.

"We're so glad you're OK, dude." Nazz said, hugging me tight.

I chuckled nervously while freeing myself.

"No hard feelings for before?" Sarah asked, holding out her hand, which I shook while replying. "None at all, Sarah."

"Great job saving Bowditch, Nathan." Sulley said as he and the other Imaginaries walked up to me.

"Yeah, you really made us proud, kiddo." said Mike.

"Aw, it was nothing." I said. "I was just trying to sa..."

I stopped myself, staring at Eddy, who just walked up to me calmly, placing a hand on my shoulder, then said with an understanding smile. "It's alright, Nathan. You don't have to say it."

I smiled back at him before hearing Amelia's voice.

"Although, I do have this to say."

She came up to me, explaining. "I was talking with the folks back at Foster City School before coming here and they were considering having you back for 6th Grade."

Those around us were stunned at what they were hearing.

I was, too, when I asked. "Seriously?"

"It may, however, be different from the other classes you were in." said Amelia. "But if this works out, we can expand the progress for two more grades. That was what you wanted, wasn't it? To be back inside Foster City School?"

I nodded, saying. "Yes, it was. More than anything in the world."

"But...?" Amelia said promptly, sensing a hesitation inside me.

"But..." I went on, looking at Double D. "A wise friend said to me that I just needed to give Bowditch a few days' time...and that I'd learn to love it."

Double D smiled at what I was saying. So were Ed and Eddy.

"And how does that make you feel, now?" Odette asked as she came up to me.

I looked up at her, replying. "Like home."

Silver chuckled heartily. "Look at ya, glowin' like a solar fire."

"Does that mean...you're staying here?" asked SpongeBob, whom I looked at, along with the other Imaginaries, then at the many new friends I've made inside Bowditch.

Finally, I said. "Yes. Yes, I am!"

On hearing my decision, the cheers became louder than ever.

"HAPPY DAY!" Ed shouted happily as he hugged me as tight as he could.

I wanted to squirm free, but instead, I hugged Ed back.

As they watched, Odette and Daniel did the same, then looked at each other lovingly.

"Thank you for pairing me with Nathan." Odette said to Daniel, who said back. "No, I'm the one who should be thanking you, Odette, for your trust, for your eyes...and for...

But as they leaned in for the kiss, the sound of a cleared throat got their attention.

It was the baker, who said. "Before we let this romance escalate, I have an important question to ask."

We all stared at him, waiting for the question to be popped, which he did.

"How many layers for the actual wedding cake?"

"As many as you'd like, Papa!" Odette replied, followed by a laugh from all of us.

"OK, everyone, back to your assigned rooms." Daniel said. "Class is about to start."

"That's our cue, Imaginaries." said Amelia. "Let's roll out!"

The Imaginaries waved goodbye to us, then followed Amelia and Mr. Arrow to the parking lot.

Inside the office, while watching our procession break up with Mandark and Kevin, Lucy grumpily closed the curtains.

Before they went to Mrs. Kelleher's, Ed gave me a quick hug, Double D shook my hand, and Eddy gave me a fist bump.

Daniel gazed at Odette one more time, then headed back to the office, leaving her to stand by me as we watched the Imaginaries enter Mike's car, in which SpongeBob was about to enter, but was held back by Amelia, who said. "What's say we let Mr. Squarepants drive us back?"

"Really?" SpongeBob said with delight.

"Oh, no." Squidward and Mr. Krabs said in unison.

Amelia ignored them, saying to SpongeBob. "You've proven worthy as the hall monitor. Let's see if your driving can do the same."

"I don't like where this is going already." Mike said quietly to Sulley as they sat in the back with the other Imaginaries.

Once everyone was inside, SpongeBob started the car...but had it going in reverse, hitting one of the street lights.

"Thank goodness for seatbelts." said Patrick.

"On second thought, Mr. Squarepants," said Amelia. "Maybe I should..."

"Wait, I can do this, Captain! I can do this!" assured SpongeBob, who set his foot down on the gas pedal, making the car speed away from Bowditch.

"WHOOOOOOOOOOOOA!" exclaimed the Imaginaries

"All hands, secure your seatbelts!" Mr. Arrow called to them.

"SEE YOU AFTER SCHOOL, NATHAN!" SpongeBob called out to me.

I looked at Odette, saying to her. "With friends like them, what are you gonna do?"

Odette laughed as we went inside Room 42, where Mrs. Edelschein said. "OK, if everyone can just take their seats, we can start the day."

As I sat down along with my friends, not only has another day of class started, but so did my new life inside Bowditch Middle School.
