Crystallized Episode 3, The Shape of Nya:

Lloyd is pacing around the hanger bay under the Monastery.

"Ex-ninja? Old-timers? Who do they think they are?!" He yells angrily.

In a bland monotone voice Zane responds, "The New Ninja of Ninjago City. And their arrival was fortuitous. Without their help, it is likely we would have been defeated. I calculated our odds-"

Lloyd cuts Zane off, still angry, "I don't want to know our odds, Zane. I want to know what we're gonna do about this."

"About what." Zane says.

"About the fact that we're being replaced! Do you even care?!" Lloyd snaps.

Kai walks up behind Lloyd and puts a hand on his boyfriend's shoulder, aiming to calm him down before things escalate further.

"No one is replacing us, Lloyd. And you know Zane doesn't care. He turned down his emotion chip." Cole says.

"Yeah. We're all dealing with losing Nya differently." Jay says.

This annoys Kai a bit so he says sarcastically, "Right. Some of us are even talking to glasses of water!"

Kai gestures to the table where several glasses of water are, and in the process, knocks over one.

"Aaah! Nya! Look what you did you- you clumsy-" Jay bangs a fist on the table in anger, furious that Kai spilt the water.

Kai reaches out and tries to apologize, "Uh, Jay, sorry. I didn't-"

But Jay isn't having any of it. He turns and kicks Kai across the room. This sets Kai off and he jumps to his feet saying angrily, "Oh that does it!"

They both fire up their powers and start circling each other.

Zane runs in between the two and holds out his arms saying, "Ninja, please desist. Such a violent display of emotions is unbefitting a team."

"Well then maybe we shouldn't even be a team anymore." Jay yells, throwing a lighting strike towards Kai.

"Fine by me!" Kai sends a fireball in Jay's direction while jumping out of the way to avoid Jay's lightning strike, "Consider this my resignation letter!"

Jay jumps behind Cole's Rock Cycle, letting Kai's fireball hit and destroy it.

Meanwhile, Lloyd tries to run to Kai and calm him down, but Cole holds him back saying quietly, "Let Zane handle this, if Kai accidentally hits you he'll never forgive himself, and if Jay does… Well, let's just say there would be another empty room in the monastery."

"But I… Kai…" Lloyd weakly protests, knowing that Cole is right.

Then the sprinklers come on, activated by the smoke coming off of the Rock Cycle.

Master Wu runs into the Hanger Bay shouting, "What is going on here?"

Kai and Jay ignore him and keep circling each other, looking for weaknesses.

Zane is still asking them to cease their battle, but to no avail.

Suddenly Kai slips on a puddle of water and Jay, seeing the fire master's slipup, shoots another lighting strike at Kai, clearly not thinking in his fit of rage.

Time seems to slow down in the Hanger Bay.

Kai's eyes lock onto the bolt of lighting coming straight towards him, knowing that he doesn't have time to dodge it.

Jay's eyes widen in horror as he realizes what he has done.

Zane's face is still blank and cold, emotionless.

Cole's mouth is half open in shock.

Master Wu reaches out with his hand, having sensed what Jay was about to do, but too late to stop him.

And Lloyd, Lloyd is running full speed towards Kai, but he knows he isn't going to make it in time. But then, something inside of him breaks, and he feels something he hasn't felt in a long time.

His Golden Power.

The power of the First Spinjitzu Master.

Power he had thought to be miniscule inside of him, or gone all together. But he doesn't have time to question its sudden reappearance. With a yell of raw anger and power Lloyd slams his hands onto the ground, creating a wall of golden energy to appear in front of Kai, shielding him from the lightning.

Then time speeds up again.

Everyone is in shock about the reappearance of Lloyd's golden power. With lots of questions being thrown towards Lloyd by Jay, Cole, Zane, and Master Wu.

But Lloyd ignores them all, he only has eyes for Kai.

He runs to his boyfriend, slipping on a puddle and sliding but managing to somehow keep his footing.

"Kai, Kai! Are you okay?" Lloyd asks, kneeling down in front of Kai.

Kai is on his knees with his mouth hanging open, staring at the place where the golden wall had been.

"Y-Yeah, I'm ok, thanks to you." Kai says, finding his voice, "But how did you-" He starts asking, but is cut off by Lloyd wrapping his arms around and hugging him. This startles Kai, who after a moment, slowly wraps his own arms around Lloyd.

Then a sniffle can be heard and Kai peeks down at Lloyd, who has his face buried in Kai's gi.

Kai lowers his lips to Lloyd's ear and whispers softly, "Are you ok?"

Lloyd's only response is to tighten his grip on Kai and sniffle again.

"It's ok if you aren't, I'm here for you, greenie." Kai murmurs.

Then the sobs start coming, almost as if Lloyd had been waiting to hear Kai say that.

Kai shifts their position so that he is now holding Lloyd - who is still clinging to him - in his lap. And as the sobs increase, Lloyd's body starts to tremble. Kai gently rocks him back and forth, whispering into his ear all the while.

After some time the sobs become quieter and quieter. Until they are back to sniffles and small hiccups.

"Better now?" Kai asks, and Lloyd looks up at him and gives a small nod.

"I-I thought I was gonna lose you." Lloyd says quietly.

"I would never leave you, I'll always be here for you." Kai hugs Lloyd tightly to emphasize his words.

"So, your golden powers returned, huh." Kai comments after releasing Lloyd.

"Yeah, I didn't think they were still there." Lloyd says, creating a small golden orb in the palm of one of his hands.

"I mean, I could always feel something, but it was so small. Like a tiny ember." He continues, saying, "Guess all it needed was a spark."

"What better one than the Master of Fire." Kai says, pecking Lloyd on the cheek as he rolls his eyes at the pun.

"Har, har, har, very funny hottie." Lloyd playfully punches Kai's shoulder while dodging another peck from his boyfriend.

"Now come on, I know the others have questions, and Jay looks like he's got something to say to you." Lloyd says, standing and pulling Kai up with him.

"Alright, let's go see what sparky has to say for himself." Kai says.

The two walk across the Hanger Bay, hand in hand, one with new powers and both with greater love for each other.

A/N: This one's a bit more far fetched than the others with Lloyd's golden powers returning and all, but it honestly just kinda wrote itself. Once I started it all fell into place. Now that I've written about it, having Lloyd's golden powers return in the show would be pretty cool.
