So uh- Thalia's anger and suspicion are totally reasonable- poor Thalia. But also poor fucking Luke and poor... well, you can guess. Also Chiron's just there like 'Can we not just have one damn day without disaster children?!'
Replies:
AlexusAP: I mean, in her defence she doesn't know Luke's changing sides so her reaction is valid.
MKDemiGodzilla-Warrior: Well I will say Chiron is definitely gonna have a headache after dealing with all this.
Krypton Writes: It's fine :)
Wisestriker: Here's more but uh... I may still be a tease.
Ryan Fowler: heheheh.
Sythe: Lol, the reuinions are gonna be fun.
Guest: In the myths Theseus has two fathers. Poseidon and Aegeus. Obviously some have just one or the other but to say that the myths have Theseus as mortal is just plain wrong. There are different versions of every myth my guy. We can sorta pick and choose which we like best for this and which work best- like, the Medusa myth Rick uses was altered by the Romans, in the original Medusa was just a Gorgan she was never cursed by Athena for being forced by Poseidon. In MOA Hercules has no lightning powers which proves my point. If you don't like my story or how I'm doing it no one is forcing you to read it. Also- most Aphrodite kids don't have charmspeak so I mean, your point is patently wrong. Not all children have all of the powers. Percy is known to be an outlier with how powerful he is.
Guest: Bianca can sense death much like Nico- though some of her other abilities differ from his.
Devilishslipper: Awe! Thank you!
Zephyr0f8: Luke's going through the wringer at the moment lol. But he's very much determined to not fail a second time.
Guest: And if Artemis is wrong and Luke is going full pelt at the border- which he would be out of desperation, what happens then if he can't go through because Percy's in his arms and the border repells them and he goes flying back and drops her- she's already dying how much more damage would that do. Artemis A, is respecting Percy's privacy at this stage, and B, has just enough doubt to not want to risk being wrong.
Krypton Writes: Well I wouldn't want you to die!
Undeath9087: Pipercabeth isn't too far away! And yeah, Thalia's behavior is understandable but not actually helpful at this stage.

Luke felt like he was going to be sick as he stared at Thalia, the rest of the world falling away for a moment. She looked just as she had that day. The day she'd died. His best friend, the first person he'd ever fully trusted. He'd known that the Golden Fleece might help her. That it might revive her. And he had heard when that had succeeded of course. Silena had told him. But he hadn't allowed himself to dwell on it too much. When the time came Thalia would join him. He'd told himself that over and over. Reassured himself that he was in the right.

Then he'd actually allowed himself to stop being an idiot in denial. Thalia wouldn't join him. She'd had around six months, she was smart enough she'd be able to leave camp. If she was going to join him she would have. Camp knew now. They knew what he was. That he was the traitor who had stolen the Lightning Bolt. Though he doubted any of them knew about the stupid Helm. And he still didn't know how they found out that he was a traitor anyway.

And he'd known that a reunion would come in time. That sooner or later he'd find himself face to face with his once best friend. And that there was a large chance that they'd be on the opposite sides. Sure he might be able to convince her. If she didn't know about Annabeth. If she did he was dead. It was simple. And it would be right for him to die by Thalia's hands for hurting Annabeth. They'd both sworn to protect her and he'd failed. He wasn't sure he'd have the strength to fight her if she brought up what he'd done. Not that he imagined she knew. How would she after all? It wasn't as if anyone knew. The only witnesses had been Percy and that friend of hers. He doubted they'd told anyone about Annabeth.

And now he was face to face with Thalia again. There were some other campers too- he spotted them almost absentmindedly, and they ran away anyway, probably to run for help. After all Luke was known to be a traitor. But he found that he didn't care as he pushed himself up onto his knees when he reached the bottom of the hill. That was fine by him. He needed Chiron after all. Chiron could help Percy. But he couldn't focus on Thalia, his gaze flitted around until it landed on Percy, sprawled out several feet away from him and- fuck. Fuck her shoulder wound was bleeding again, he could see it soaking the bandages. He went to surge to his feet but Thalia was suddenly in front of him. She was gripping that familiar bronze spear of hers, its tip pressing against his neck. "Don't move." her voice was a low snarl. "What the fuck do you think you're doing here you traitor."

"Thalia-"

"Don't-" Thalia shook her head, "Don't fucking speak." there was anger in her eyes. "Chiron told me what you did. How you stole from my father." and Luke was honestly a little relieved. Sure it annoyed him that she was this angry about him stealing from an asshole like Zeus but... well. It was better than her knowing what he'd done to Annabeth. Brave brilliant Annabeth who's death still haunted him despite Percy's clear attempt at making him feel better back on Mount Orthys. He felt sick at the thought of what Thalia would think or do if she found out what he'd done. How he'd killed the girl they'd both seen as a baby sister.

"Thalia- Thalia please-"

"I told you not to speak-" Thalia's fingers were actually sparking with anger, little flickers of electrical current zapping Luke through the speak- not full on electric shocks but little sparts of pain. Luke hissed, wincing backwards. "You disgust me. You swore Luke. You swore to protect her and you let her just run off on her own. She probably died out there lost and alone! Because you were too busy stealing from my dad to look after her."

"I will never forgive myself for what happened to Annabeth." Luke's voice came out ragged. "If you want to kill me that's fine. But for fuck sake let me help her first!" he nodded towards Percy, who's skin was still flushed, too flushed given how much blood she was losing.

"Why should I trust you to do anything." Thalia spat the words. "She's probably one of your little soldiers right? Like Silena was supposed to be?"

And fuck they knew about Silena. They'd have to have been monitoring everything she sent him then. Not that he'd sent anything back at all for at least a month. No orders no nothing. He had started changing then. And now it didn't matter because the only chance he had was dying. She was dying in the snow that dusted the ground of the camp.

No. No. He wasn't going to just let her die like he'd let Thalia- well, she wasn't dead but the point stood.

"THALIA! Shut the fuck up and listen to me!" he roared the words, smacking the spear away, ignoring the sharp pain that shot up his arm as he did, lurching to his feet and pointing towards Percy. "That girl has nothing to do with my army! She isn't working for Kronos! She is an innocent girl and I cannot, I will not let her bleed out on the ground! I came here for help I came here to save her. You want me dead that's fine. But you can kill me after I have saved her life because I am not letting another person die because I was a coward and ran while they held off the enemy!"

Thalia stumbled backwards, a stunned look in those familiar electric blue eyes, but Luke was already turning and moving, rushing towards Percy and dropping to his knees next to her. He rolled her over, and he couldn't help the gasp that slipped past his lips when his fingers brushed over the red skin, yanking them back quickly.

She was getting hotter and hotter, the snow around her was melting from the heat he realised. He grimaced, as he slipped one arm under her back. She wasn't hot enough to burn yet, but she was very hot still.

He hesitated before scooping some snow off the ground and dropping it onto her forehead. It might not help much but it might cool her down a little.

Then he was sliding his arms under her legs too and staggering to his feet, turning- and Thalia was stood there, spear aimed at his throat again. "Who is she?" Thalia demanded, "I don't know you any more and I sure as hell don't know the girl you're trying to save so you need to tell me who exactly she is before I even consider letting you take another step."

"She is the only chance I have of fixing things." Luke growled the words, "I don't even fully understand her Thalia but she is important now let me past-"

"No. No not until you explain!"

"I can't-"

"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!" the bellow came from a familiar figure galloping towards them from across the camp. Chiron. Luke had to force down the urge to burst into relieved tears. he would not cry in front of them. Not in front of anyone here. He refused to let them see him as weak. Not now not ever.

"It's Luke!" Thalia didn't even turn her gaze away from him. He was actually a little impressed at her single minded focus. "It's Luke Chiron! He just showed up here. I spotted him at the top of the hill carrying some girl!"

"Some- by the gods why can't we have a moment of peace." Chiron's voice was exhausted, "Egyptians traitors and mystery girls what else is going to happen." he came to a stop several foot away. "Castellan. I didn't think you'd be willing to show your face here after your crimes-"

"Oh spare me the judgemental speech." Luke spat the words. "You can do whatever you like to me after you help her-"

"This girl?"

"She is the only reason I am here." Luke's voice was sharp. "The only reason. I would have happily never come back here. But she's hurt. She'd dying and there is nothing I can do to help her. And this- this was the only place that we could bring her. The only place where someone might be able to help her-"

"Why would we help a traitor?"

"Because she isn't a traitor!" Luke almost yelled the words, "Because she's not a traitor she is-" his voice caught, "She is the biggest pain in my ass that ever fucking existed. If you told me a week ago I'd be willing to come back here to save her life I'd have probably laughed in your face. But I am here, at your fucking mercy I don't even have my damn sword. I am here because I need help. Because the annoying little shit deserves to live. So help her. Please Chiron. Please."

Chiron stared at him for along moment before his back straightened. "Let me see the girl."

"Chiron-" Thalia started to protest but Chiron shook his head.

"We do not know this girl. She may not have committed any crimes against us. She may indeed be an innocent."

And Luke was rushing forward, cradling the unconscious teenager in his arms, ignoring the crowds starting to make their way towards them, the glares he was getting from campers who had once been his friends, the hurt looks Connor and Travis were sending his way. He knew that those who hadn't left with him had been hurt by his betrayal. He hadn't cared then and he didn't have the presence of mind to care now. All that mattered was Chiron reaching out, laying a hand against Percy's forehead, his eyes widening slightly at the heat.

"What happened to the girl."

"I-" Luke swallowed hard. "She got stabbed through the shoulder. And- there- there was something about magical burn out I think? That might be possible."

"Magical-" Chiron's eyes widened, "For- the girl is a Magician?"

"Wait like the ones that attacked-"

"W- fuck I forgot Alina was-" Luke groaned, "Please she's not a threat-" he paused, "To you. I think. Just- just please help her."

"I'm not sure what I can do in a case of magical burn out." Chiron's brows were furrowed as he leaned forward and pulled the makeshift bandages aside, "The wound... the magical burn out... combined... the girl is barely holding on to life. And there's more. I've seen magical burn out before. This- the skin is usually warm to the touch but hers- it's uncomfortable to even touch-"

"Are you telling me that you can't do anything?" Luke felt his stomach dropping at that. "You have to! You have to we need her-"

"What is the girls name." Chiron was pulling Percy from his arms.

Luke wanted to stop him, wanted to push him away and turn and flee He stopped himself. He couldn't help Percy. Chiron might be able to, and he found his legs giving out from exhaustion now that he wasn't holding Percy any more, he found himself dropping to his knees. "Percy. Her name is Percy Kane-"

"I've heard that name." Thalia looked surprised, "Isn't she some actress? Silena's practically obsessed with her."

"Yes, yes I have heard the name before." Chiron froze, his eyes suddenly widening as his gaze snapped down to the girl in his arms. "Kane. By the gods-" but he didn't get to finish his thought because from the edge of the crowds that had gathered and formed a loose semicircle around them came two screams.
