Chapter: Two

One Week Later-Manhattan, New York

Olivia Benson was in the bedroom of her apartment packing up her suitcase and getting ready for her flight down to Austin, Texas for the National First Responders Conference. She was beyond excited because she gets to see her one and only other best friend aside from Fin and meet his crew.

A knock was sounded at her door, so with a sigh she walked out of her room and approached the door and looked through the peephole to see it was Fin, she smiled and opened the door, "Fin, what brings you by?" she asked stepping aside to let him in before closing the door.

"Hey, Liv, just checking to see if you're all packed up yet?" he asked as Olivia nodded, "Almost." she said heading back to her bedroom with Fin following behind and leaning against the doorway.

"Are you excited?" he asked with a small smile knowing how close she was/is to the firefighter Captain. He had met Owen on several occasions and he liked the guy, plus he was best friends with Elliot. "I am actually." Olivia replied with a smile. "God, it's been a while since I've seen Owen and I know he's doing good work in Austin, but I wish he was here, or at least visit." she sighed and cocked her head before getting back to packing.

Fin nodded, "Well, I'm here to personally take you to the airport. So, whenever you're ready." He said. Olivia sighed, zipping up her suitcase, putting it on the floor and picking up her carry-on bag. "How about now?" She asked as Fin chuckled and walked forward.

"Let me take that for you." He said taking her suitcase and walking out the door before Olivia could protest and rolled her eyes following him out. She will be gone for at least three days, and while she's in Texas, her son Noah will be staying with the McCanns with his half-brother with occasional check-ups from Amanda and Carrisi.

Taking a deep breath she shut and locked her door before following Fin down the hallway towards the elevator.

Airport in Austin, Texas

Owen Strand was standing beside his Captain's vehicle, dressed in his uniform waiting for his best friend to walk out of the door. He was so excited about seeing Olivia that he couldn't sleep. It has been a long time since he's seen Liv. He hated leaving her, even though she gave him her blessings, but after what happened with Elliot, he still couldn't help but feel bad. She was the reason why it was hard leaving New York.

He was brought out of his thoughts when the doors swooshed open and he looked up and smiled when he saw who walked out of the building. She hasn't changed a bit, her hair was a little longer than he remembered but the same. "Oh Liv. How I missed you?" was the first thing he said to her.

Olivia sighed and smiled, "Owen Strand." she replied softly.

Olivia and Owen were in his fire-issued truck making their way to the station for Olivia to meet the crew of Station-126. "So, how is everyone?" he asked, referring to her squad. Olivia nodded.

"They're good. Everyone is good! Fin is covering for me while I'm down here." She replied with a nod trying to figure out how to tell Owen about Elliot's return. She knew that he was angry when he first found out from her that Elliot left. She took a deep breath, "Uh...Elliot is back." She added. She can tell the statement threw him off guard as he kinda swerved a little before straightening out.

"What?" He asked, looking at her before turning his attention back to the road. "When? How?" he asked her. Because after all these years, with no contact he just comes back.

That's when Olivia told him everything, from Elliot's arrival to his wife's death to setting up the NYPD's Organized Crime Bureau.

"But, there have been times that we work on cases together. I know it doesn't make up for all the years he left me alone, and he's gonna have to earn my trust again." She told him with a sigh.

She felt Owen placed his hand over hers, giving it a squeeze, "I'm so sorry Liv." He said softly. He felt sorry for Elliot, for losing his wife. He didn't deserve it. He hopes that Elliot can catch the man responsible, but knowing him, he won't stop till he's dead.

The SVU Captain looked down at their joined hands and smiled before looking back at Owen. "Thank You, Owen. I don't know where I would be without you and your friendship." she told him as Owen smiled, "Always Liv, your family. Always and Forever." He told her before seeing the station coming up and releasing her hand.

"Here we are." He told her pulling into the lot, "Oh Wow, Owen." Olivia whispered in awe as he pulled into the bay and parked before turning off the car. They both got out and Olivia slowly looked around the station with a small smile. "She's beautiful." She commented before closing her door.

Owen nodded with a smile, "I know. I'm very proud. Come on. I want you to meet everyone." he said coming around the front of the car and holding out his arm as Olivia smiled and walked towards him letting him wrap his arm around her shoulders leading her towards the kitchen/common room.

"HEY! EVERYONE. COME AND MEET MY AMAZING FRIEND." Owen yelled out causing Olivia to let out a chuckle, and a few minutes later, Olivia heard multiple footsteps and looked to see a group of people in similar uniforms as Owen coming their way. She smiled when she saw the only other person she knew, and smiled.

"OLIVIA!" TK yelled as soon as he saw her and broke into a run. Olivia smiled wide and walked a few steps out of Owen's arm and caught the young man in her arms and hugged him tight. "TK, oh my god. Look at you." She said, pulling away and placing a hand on his cheek in a motherly gesture. "You look good." she said with a teary smile.

TK nodded, "You too." He replied as he cleared his throat as Owen approached the two most important people in his life. "Liv, meet the crew of 126. The Engine Crew: Judd Ryder, Marjan Marwani, Paul Strickland, and Mateo Chavez. The EMS 126: Tommy Vega, Nancy Gillian, and of course, my son and your adopted son, TK. Guys, meet Captain Olivia Benson of the NYPD Special Victims Unit." Owen introduced as she smiled and shook everyone's hands.

"Pleasure to meet you, Ma'am. Cap wouldn't shut up about ya." Judd said with a smile. Olivia chuckled. "I can Imagine." She replied.

Marjan shook her hand and smiled, "Captain, it is an honor to meet you." she started to say while letting go of the Captain's hand. "Let me just say I'm a huge fan. I mean, I read all about you and your squad. I gotta say, what you do, I couldn't imagine myself doing what you do on a daily basis. But, I think it's amazing what you do." She commented on going full fangirl.

Olivia smiled and felt her eyes getting teary, "Thank You! That's so sweet of you to say. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you Firefox?" She asked with a small smile. Marjan gasps, "Yes. How…" she asked but trailed off, speechless.

The NYPD Captain chuckled, "I've seen some of your stuff and I gotta say, I can't imagine doing what you do. All of this." she said, gesturing around them. Marjan smiled.

Olivia greeted the others and shook their hands, talking to a few of them. Owen stood off to the side watching Olivia interact with his crew. He saw TK breaking away from talking with Olivia and Judd making his way over to where his father was.

"I can't believe she's here." He said as Owen sighed and smiled wrapping an arm around him, "Me neither, son. This is gonna be great!" he said, squeezing his shoulder before walking away to show Olivia around the station.
