Chapter 30: Hacker

Danny was reading emails when the computer screen suddenly went blank. Before his mind could formulate theories on what was happening, Technus appeared on-screen. "I, Technus, master of all things electronic and beeping, took over the Internet." The master of long-winded speeches declared. "If you want those interruptions not to be a constant in your lives, I must be declared ruler of the world. Bye". The screen then returned to normal.

"All things considered, I'm surprised it took him this long to think about it." Danny commented and then his cell phone rang. "Danny, you must do something about Technus!" Tucker screamed in desperation. "What he's doing is unforgivable!"

"Don't worry, Tucker." Danny replied. "I can search for him like we did when he entered "Doomed"."

"Good idea, Danny." Tucker commented. "Meanwhile, I'll try to track him."

"Nice try, kid." Technus said, interrupting the conversation. "I mustn't let it happen." Technus then fried Tucker's computers.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Tucker screamed.

In spite of that adversity, Danny kept looking for Technus. Meanwhile, inside a secret base at the Kingdom of Zoravia, Oleg Boynski was making an effort of his own to track the tech ghost. "Can't you just follow program patters?" The General that briefly wanted to send an Army after Lubek in Illinois asked Oleg.

"Unfortunately not, General." Oleg answered. "This Technus, as Danny Phantom calls the ghost, isn't a mere computer program. Technus has a personality like a normal human in spite of being a ghost."

"What do you mean?" The General asked.

"Instead of following a pre-programmed pattern, Technus goes where he wants and might change plans at any moment, General." Oleg explained. "Only those who know how he thinks might have a clue to whatever pattern he might be following."

"Should we contact Danny Phantom?" The General asked.

"Wait!" Oleg said. "I might have found something."

Moments later, Technus was about to start another transmission when Danny Phantom hit him with a blast. "H-how did you find me?" Technus asked.

"That's for me to know and for you to find out, Technus." Danny replied and blasted Technus until the latter was weakened enough to be sucked into a Fenton Thermos.

Hours later, Danny was on a phone call with his future father-in-law. "Good work, Danny Phantom." The King of Zoravia said. "Thanks to you, technology is once again safe."

"I guess I owe you one, Your Majesty." Danny humbly replied.

"No, Danny." King Carl stated. "Zoravia was no less vulnerable to Technus' threat than the rest of the world."

"Anyway, may I talk to Natasha now, King Carl?" Danny asked.

"My daughter's already sleeping now." King Carl quickly replied.

"Oh, I forgot about the different time zones." Danny said, believing the King's claim. They then ended the talk.

"Son, did King Carl make any threats?" Jack asked. "Anything I can use on your sister's boyfriend?"

"No, Dad." Danny answered. "Anyway, I need you to guard this thermos where nobody will find it. Technus has proven himself to be too dangerous to be released back into the Ghost Zone. At least until I get something done with the Observants."

"Sure thing, Danny." Jack replied.
