"Ohhh, where am I?" Sonic groaned as he sat up. Taking a look around him, he realized that he was actually inside Lord Jabu-Jabu's belly. "Whoa," he said. "Lord Jabu-Jabu must've swallowed me!" But Sonic didn't have time to worry about getting digested. He had a dolphin prince to find, and fast! So Sonic hurried along the wet path until he found a dolphin wearing a crown with six blue jewels in it. "That must be the dolphin prince," said Sonic. "Hello there, your highness!" he called, approaching the big fish-like creature. "Hi there," said the dolphin. "You don't have to call me 'Your Highness'. Who are you?"

"I'm Sonic the Hedgehog and I came to rescue you," said Sonic. "Oh, thank goodness," said the dolphin. "But I can't leave yet. You see, I was feeding Lord Jabu-Jabu when he accidentally swallowed me! In the process, I lost the zora saffire. I have to find it quick because I am its guardian." He took a deep breath. "I am Daniel."

"I'll help you find it," said Sonic. "But we've gotta hurry before Lord Jabu-Jabu digests us." Sonic picked up Daniel in his arms and started the long trek through Jabu Jabu's belly. "You know, Sonic," said Daniel. "There's a water-electric monster in Jabu-Jabu's heart. If you can destroy it, he won't be able to digest us."

"Then I guess that means I have to kill Jabu-Jabu," said Sonic. "Pretty much," said Daniel. "But, I'm tired of being Lord Jabu-Jabu's slave. For hundreds of years, zoras and other water creatures have been his slave and no matter how much we fed him, he was nothing but greedy."

"That's awful," said Sonic. "But Jabu-Jabu is acting much, much greedier than usual," said Daniel. "So, don't be too nervous about killing him."

"Why would I be nervous?" asked Sonic. "He's gone too far by swallowing you. And his extra greed must've been caused by the dark man."

"I think you're right," said Daniel. Soon, the two brave friends found a shiny stone near Lord Jabu-Jabu's lungs. It was blue. Daniel reconized it almost right away. "That's it! That's the zora saffire! Toss me up there," he said. So, Sonic did. But as soon as Daniel grabbed it, the platform he was on suddenly rose up. "Daniel!" cried Sonic. When the platform came back down, there was a weird water octorok. It kept charging at Sonic, but he somersaulted out of its way. "Show me the butt," he said as he kept slicing the creature's bottom until he had it defeated. "Now where is Daniel." Sonic walked through Jabu-Jabu's lungs until he found what he was sure was the heart. But first, a glowing object where the disgusting creature used to be caught Sonic's eye. It was a chest. And when Sonic opened it, he found the boomerang. "Can't catch the boss without this," he said to himself as he put the boomerang in his bag. Sonic walked back through the lungs towards the place where Jabu-Jabu's heart was. Before Sonic entered the heart, he thought about what Daniel had said about Lord Jabu-Jabu before.

"I'm tired of being Lord Jabu-Jabu's slave. For hundreds of years, zoras and other water creatures have been his slace and no matter how much we fed him, he was nothing but greedy."

The words echoed in Sonic's head as he prepared to enter Lord Jabu-Jabu's heart. "Well, Lord Jabu-Jabu," said Sonic in a whisper. "I'm sorry to say it, but I'm going to have to kill you. You're going to have to die." And he opened the door and went straight to the heart.
