Episode LIV
Jaune's Bizarre Adventure: First Episode at Hienton
To Light a Fire
"I wish I could say I was surprised that Legume really is as corrupt as we thought at first, but..." Blake rolled her eyes.
"I think you might be enjoying that tidbit a little more than you're letting on," Yang suggested.
"...Shut up, Yang."
Legume raised his colossal blade and plunged it into the ground, which cracked into a wide fissure not unlike that which had summoned him and Dedue in the first place. The boy Oscar screamed as he was flung from his hiding place into the depths- only for Jaune's hand to reach out and pluck him from the air.
"Nice catch, kid!" Torchwick praised as the three men struggled to keep their balance on collapsing ground. "Now, who's gonna save us?"
Qrow looked to the ground, and spotted a coating of leaves. "Jaune! Under us!"
Jaune looked down and immediately caught on to his plan. "Of course!"
"And how are dead leaves supposed to-" Weiss started.
The two struck identical poses, breathing deeply, summoning the familiar glow. As one, they called out, "Life Magnetism Overdrive!" They placed their hands on the leaves, which seemed to fuse together into a sort of blanket.
"...Of course, why didn't I think of that?" Weiss sighed.
"As soon as we get back, I'm gonna start tearing through the library to learn Hamon!" Nora grinned.
"I suddenly feel numb," Ren sighed.
"On our backs!" Jaune instructed. Oscar tightened his grip on Jaune's shoulders, and Torchwick grabbed onto Qrow's. The two Hamon users leapt from the crumbling cliff across the chasm, the blanket acting as a glider.
"This is amazing!" Oscar cheered. Glancing back, he saw Legume at the top of the cliff, and gleefully mooned him.
"Don't get carried away," Jaune fretted. "You're not out of the woods yet!"
"Are you guys even human?" Oscar asked of his saviors- judging by the wide grin on his face, he wasn't overly concerned with the answer.
"I'm starting to wonder that myself," Torchwick admitted. "Where'd you learn all this, Branwen?"
"Ask Jaune later," Qrow instructed. "I gave him a rundown."
And he had- upon his words, Jaune recalled another conversation he and Qrow had together.
"Oh, time to find out where Uncle Qrow learned Hamon!" Ruby grinned in anticipation.
"Mr. Branwen, where did you learn all this?"
"It started when my travels brought me to Southern Anima. There was a man there- never learned his name. Young, shabby-looking... but he said he was a healer. I was skeptical, until a man came in- his leg was awful... gangrenous. Any western doctor would have given up on him, just cut the limb off to save the rest. But this healer... he made his hands glow, and cured the infection, made it good as new! I don't think I have to tell you by now, that it was Hamon.
"When I saw that, I knew... I knew that it was the key to fighting the bone mask. I pleaded with him to tell me where I could learn, and he told me to follow the river up the mountain. I did as he said, and found a village at the mountain's top."
"It's always something like that," Jaune chuckled lightly.
"You aren't a true master of anything until you've trained up in the Animanian mountains!" Pyrrha giggled her agreement.
"As he said, that's where I found his master... Ozpin."
"Ozpin! Of course, we should have known Ozpin was behind it all!" Ruby cheered.
"Oh, so Ozpin can teach us Hamon?!" Nora grinned.
"Nora, I doubt our Ozpin even knows what Hamon is," Ren pointed out quietly.
"Well, you never know until you ask!"
"...In the strictest sense of the words, I suppose that's true."
The camera began to show the young Qrow (Looking much the same, but without the scruff and slightly better-kept hair) approaching Ozpin, who was identical to the Ozpin they knew. "Why is it you have come to learn the ways of Hamon?" Ozpin asked gently.
"I discovered... a mask. A mask made of bone, that creates monsters. All I want... is to fight its power... to ensure nobody suffers at its hands again."
Ozpin's eyes widened slightly at the mention of the bone mask, but he gave no other signs of surprise. "I see..."
He leaned forward slightly in his chair, then leaned back. "I will not train you."
"What?" Team JNPR blinked in surprise.
"What?" Weiss and Blake tilted their heads in confusion.
"WHAT?" Ruby and Yang cried indignantly.
Qrow looked down. "I... see."
"Do not misunderstand," Ozpin said quickly. "This is not a matter of worthiness. Hamon is the energy of the universe- its interactions with the world's laws allows its masters to glimpse the futures of others. And in yours... should you undergo this training, you shall surely die."
"Die?!" Ruby cried. "I don't want Uncle Qrow to die!"
Much like Ozpin, Qrow's only response was a slight widening of his eyes before he knelt. "If I must die to eliminate the bone mask... that's a price I'm willing to pay."
Ozpin met his gaze, and held it for a solid minute, before finally nodding. "Very well. If you are so resolved... I will train you."
"Got that? He volunteered knowing the consequences full well," Mario interjected. "No bitching and moaning that Ozpin 'got him killed' or any stupid crap like that if he does die."
Everyone stared at him. "Er... nobody was saying anything like that," Yang pointed out.
"This version of you? No." Mario cracked open a can of Mountain Dew and would say nothing more on the subject.
The world returned to the present, with Qrow, Jaune, Torchwick, and Oscar gliding across the canyon to escape Legume. I left that last part out, of course, Qrow thought to himself. If the kid thought I was gonna die on this trip, it would throw him off, upset his breathing. No, the only one who needs to know my days are numbered is me.
"Or maybe they could save you!" Nora objected.
"I'm not sure they could do much without knowing the particulars of how he's supposed to die- otherwise, all Jaune could do is try and make sure they all get through alive, which... he'd do anyways," Ren pointed out.
"Ah, phooey on your stupid logic!" Nora pouted.
"You feelin' okay, Branwen?" Torchwick asked, clearly sensing that something was off.
Before Qrow could formulate an answer, however, Oscar let out a panicked cry. "Above us!"
Jaune looked up. "Legume!"
The gigantic warrior had leapt off of the clifftop, reaching out for his quarry.
"That's why you never celebrate too soon!" Jaune yelped.
"Relax, kid, this glider's made of Hamon," Qrow pointed out.
Sure enough, the second Legume laid hand on it, he screamed as it sizzled against his palms, and pulled back in the air. However, his brief impact did throw them off their course.
"There's a building down there!" Jaune called, spying a stone structure built into the cliffside.
"The old knights' training ground!" Oscar cried.
"Looks like we're gonna have to jump for it!" Qrow ordered. He and Jaune exchanged a quick look, then, as one, dissipated their glider- the leaves, no longer held together by Hamon, scattered to the wind as the users leapt towards a stone balcony on the building's outskirt. It was a basic half-circle, a steel door leading to the inner chamber.
"Yeah, take that, Legume!" Ruby cheered.
"Have you learned nothing?" Weiss narrowed her eyes. "Don't celebrate too quickly- they've landed, but Legume shouldn't be-"
There was an ear-shattering crash as Legume slammed into the stone below, and began punching his own way into the building.
"...Exactly," Weiss sighed.
"Damn thing's a machine!" Torchwick cursed, his eyes wide. "He truly only lives to fight! His bones should be powder after an impact like that!"
"Adam's our target, but this guy's clearly not going to stop getting in our way," Qrow muttered.
"He's entered the training ground," Jaune observed. "We'll have to meet him there!"
He turned and opened the steel door, stepping in- the second he did, a second door slammed into place behind him- one with no obvious methods of opening.
"JAUNE!" both Torchwick and Qrow screamed.
"Another trap!" Nora flung her hands in the air. "Is everything in this town just one trap after another?!"
"With Adam taking control, yes," Blake hissed.
As the others were forced to watch from the outside, a large manacle descended on a chain from the ceiling and clamped itself around Jaune's throat. One by one, a series of braziers lining the chamber's wall lit, revealing its true form: the chain attached to Jaune's manacle ran up into the ceiling. Another hole at the other end of the room showed where the chain exited out again, coming down to attach to another manacle- currently around Legume's own throat.
"Welcome!" Legume declared dramatically. "Welcome, to the Lair of the Two-Headed Dragon! A death match between two warriors! The key to your manacle is right here!" He pointed to his own. "And mine in yours! In this way, only one of us may leave this chamber alive!"
"Well, I guess I'm cornered now," Jaune crossed his arms, biting his lip in concern.
"Or is it him who's cornered?" Nora smirked, tapping the side of her head.
Torchwick was examining the new steel door. "No good! Thought I might be able to pick it open, but there's no lock to pick!"
Qrow lashed out, slamming his fists repeatedly into the door that cut him off from helping his pupil. Finally, Torchwick stepped in front. "Give it up, Branwen, you're only hurting yourself!"
Qrow swore. "Stone, I can break without a problem... but steel? Hamon is made for purging darkness, not reckless destruction!"
Inside, Jaune was struggling to break the manacle around his neck, but was having no greater success. Legume laughed. "Nice try, runt- even I couldn't break apart these chains! You want out of here, the only way is over my dead body!"
Jaune raised his hands. "Overdri- UGH!"
He was cut off as his throat was constricted- Legume had dashed forward, pulling Jaune's manacle into his throat and lifting him straight into the ceiling with a crash.
"No!" Pyrrha yelped. "If he can't breathe, he doesn't stand a chance!"
Legume attacked with a kick- Jaune managed to block, but without a steady flow of Hamon, he felt his arm break.
"JAUNE!" Qrow cried again.
Behind him, Oscar was backing away, his pants darkening. I didn't... I never wanted any part of this! Why did this all have to happen? Why couldn't our town stay peaceful?
"Keep asking 'why' all you want, see how far you get," Weiss scoffed. "Now is the time to do something about it!"
"Ease up, Weiss, he is just a kid!" Yang objected.
Torchwick peered through the door, and snapped his fingers. "It's being held shut by some sort of mechanism- I can see the lever on the inside! If Jaune could hit it-"
"Jaune's barely holding his own!" Qrow pointed out. "Especially after Dedue drained his energy! There's no way he can reach it!"
"Then what do you suggest?!"
As they argued, Oscar took another step backwards- and noticed a small window nearby. Given the makeup of the building, it could lead nowhere else but right into the chamber where Jaune and Legume were battling to the death. It was a tiny window, only meant to let light in. Qrow or Torchwick would certainly not fit- but he, a child...
"See what you've done?!" Yang threw up her hands. "Now he's gonna get himself killed trying to help!"
"Or will he?" Ren asked. "Have a little faith, Yang."
"There's nothing else for it," Qrow cursed under his breath. "We'll have to climb down and go in the same way Legume did."
"Are you insane?! Jaune will be dead by then!"
"There's no other way."
Torchwick screamed as he slammed his own fist against the steel door. "DAMMIT! What good am I, huh?! Always forced to stand at the sidelines..."
"Seriously, I would give my entire right arm to have this Torchwick in our world instead," Yang grunted.
"Hey, Mario, do you think-" Nora started, but their host cut her off.
"No."
"...Poopie."
Oscar watched, looking between Torchwick and the window. He remembered just a week ago, when he'd been under assault by a gang of bullies.
"Five lien, is that all you've got for us today?"
"Aw, little coward's scared! I think he's gonna cry!"
He'd been surrounded by three boys, all much bigger than he was- two of them held him while the third punched him in the stomach, then across the face. Please... he'd thought desperately. Please, just leave me alone!
"Poor kid," Ruby pouted. "I'm glad I never got bullied like that!"
"Yeah... I wonder why that was," Weiss pondered sarcastically, throwing a glance at Yang, who was pointedly looking in the opposite direction.
"Speaking of," Blake pointed out-
A young woman stalked across the fields towards them. "Uh, boss?" One of the bullies gulped. "She's coming."
The leader turned, and turned pale. "Alright, boys, let's get outta here!"
The woman did not lose the severe look on her face until it was just her and Oscar, who looked away shamefacedly. "S-sis... Em..."
"Surrounded by bullies again? You'll have to stand up to them yourself one day."
"I will!... Tomorrow!"
"No, Oscar, there is no tomorrow!" Nora suddenly piped up. "There is no tomorrow!"
"Huh, that's the kind of reference I'd expect from Yang," Blake quirked a brow.
"That's a reference I really wanted to make," Yang pouted, tracing a pattern on the ground with her heel.
"You should know by now that tomorrow never comes," Em frowned. "Oscar, look at me... what are you afraid of?"
When Oscar failed to look up at her, she reached out and slapped him across the face. He finally looked up at her, his mouth an O of shock.
"Is that what you're afraid of, Oscar? Pain? What's scarier- pain, or the idea that you'll grow up unable to do anything for yourself?"
"A harsh lesson," Ren sighed, "but one that needs to be taught."
"Not so hot on the smacking, but..." Yang seemed of two minds on the situation.
Oscar opened his eyes, and ran to the window. The noise drew the attention of the two men. "What are you doing, kid?!" Qrow called- he'd just been preparing to climb down, but now returned to the balcony. "If you go in there, you'll get yourself killed!"
Maybe, Oscar thought to himself. But that's not what scares me most. What scares me most is that man in the mask ruining my town... and hurting my sister. If Jaune is the only one who can stop him, I'll do anything to help him! Sis, tomorrow is NOW!
"Now I feel I can respect this child," Weiss nodded, crossing her arms.
"So this is what it's like to watch a man's balls drop!" Yang grinned.
"I really wish you could have found a less creepy way to say that," Blake sighed.
The window was wider than Oscar had anticipated, more of a crawlspace, but he managed to make his way through with only a scrape or two. At last, he reached the end and tumbled out into the chamber with a grunt.
Both Jaune and Legume noticed him immediately. "Oscar, no! It's not safe in here!" Jaune cried, but it was too late- Legume was already lunging towards the kid.
"You keep out of this, you damn BRAT!"
Jaune leapt into action, kicking off of the ceiling and dragging Legume with him by the collar. It wasn't enough to spare Oscar altogether, but it threw Legume off-target enough that instead of killing Oscar outright, he instead slammed him against the wall- right next to the lever.
"OSCAR!" all three men yelled their concern.
"I'm... okay..." Oscar grunted as he forced himself to his feet. "Pain... isn't what scares me... the most..."
He reached out, and with a last burst of strength, pulled the lever to the opposite edge- immediately, the steel door opened. Qrow and Torchwick rushed inside.
"He did it!" Ruby cheered
"Now, that just leaves Legume!" Pyrrha smiled.
Torchwick rushed to Oscar's side. "He's alright, just unconscious. You done good, kid." He then looked up at Legume. "Branwen... kill that sunnuvabitch."
For a moment, the world stood still, everyone looking towards Qrow, glaring at Legume.
"...Branwen?"
Another memory was running through Qrow's mind.
He and Ozpin stood at the top of the village- three towers pierced the sky, connected by three tightropes in a triangle formation. Ozpin met his gaze through the snow. "You have done well so far, Qrow," he praised. "I believe you are ready to learn the most advanced techniques I have to offer."
"Thank you, Ozpin," Qrow inclined his head- a full bow would likely throw off his balance.
Ozpin's eyes flashed. "Do you recall when we first met? I prophecized that my teaching you Hamon would lead to your early death. This is your last chance to turn back- should you continue your tutelage, your fate will be set into stone."
"No... he's not saying what I think he is, is he?!" Ruby's eyes widened.
"He'd better not," Yang growled.
Qrow hesitated only briefly. "How will it happen?"
Ozpin crossed his arms. "What will you do with the knowledge?"
Qrow waved his hand. "The exact method doesn't matter- as long as I take the bone mask down with me, I can accept it."
Ozpin considered a moment, then beckoned Qrow to come closer. Qrow obliged, and extended his hand- Ozpin reached out and took it in his. A bright, vibrant glow shone from the point of contact. For a moment, Ozpin's eyes were closed- when they opened, they were white with light.
"There will be a man, kin to you in all but blood," Ozpin spoke. "His fire will burn like the sun for which this world yearns- but it will take your sacrifice to light the flame. In a city of the dead, a boy will open the way- and unwavering, you will go to your cruel destiny."
The glow ceased, and the two stepped back, never breaking eye contact. "Knowing this... will you proceed?"
"He knew... he knew everything!" Jaune gaped. "He must have known this whole time..."
"Uncle Qrow, no!" Ruby cried.
Qrow took in the chamber, his words to Jaune ringing in his head. Never underestimate the difference between getting dragged into battle kicking and screaming, and walking in with your head held high.
Ozpin's face appeared in his mind's eye, repeating the question: Will you proceed?
Qrow's answer was the same as it was on that day: "I will."
"That... that's..." Everyone was surprised to see Weiss tearing up. "I take it all back, your uncle truly is a noble man!"
"To go into battle, not knowing there's a possibility of death, but knowing that for your friend to live, you must give your own life..." Pyrrha, too, was looking more than a little teary.
"He's not gonna die!" Yang insisted. "He'll find a way out, you'll see!"
None of the others seemed quite so confident, but held their tongues for the moment.
"Qrow!" Jaune choked out, redoubling his efforts to break the collar.
Legume scoffed as he watched Qrow's steady approach. "You have some more parlor tricks to throw at me? You cowards can't even scratch me!"
He threw a punch that Qrow dodged with ease. He snarled. "What's the matter, too scared to actually fight?"
He threw several more punches, each of which was deftly dodged. With every miss, Legume grew more and more agitated.
"...Are we sure Ozpin's prophecy was right?" Nora tilted her head. "Qrow's kinda running circles around this dingus- maybe he needs to get his crystal ball checked or something?"
Fury burning in his eyes, Legume brought all his strength down on where Qrow stood- Qrow leapt backwards and kicked off the wall, turning in the air and beginning to spin. "Tornado Overdrive!"
Before the hit could land, Legume seemed to vanish. Qrow looked up. "Above me?!"
"No, below!" Jaune cried.
"YOU'RE BOTH RIGHT!" came Legume's cackling voice- his massive form was leaping over Qrow's strike, but the chain was snaking around him from beneath. "HELL HEAVEN SNAKE KILL!"
In a second, Jaune had slammed into the ceiling again, and Qrow was firmly wrapped in the chain.
"Crap, crapcrapcrap!" Yang growled. "Get out of there, get out!"
Legume's eyes were alight with sadistic glee as he gave one last, great pull, and rent Qrow in half, his lower body collapsing where it stood while his upper went flying to just beneath Jaune.
"UNCLE QROOOOOOOOOOOOW!" Ruby cried.
"THAT BASTARD!" Yang roared. "THAT SON OF A MOTHERLESS GOAT!"
"No... such a horrible way to go..." Pyrrha's tears were flowing more freely than ever.
"If only... I'd managed to beat him myself..." Jaune lamented.
"It's... not your fault, Arc- Jaune," Weiss corrected herself. "If Ozpin was to be believed, this was... fated. You couldn't have done anything to stop it."
"Well, fate's a dick!" Nora's tears were on an even footing with Pyrrha's. Ren said nothing, but his white knuckles did all the talking he needed.
Jaune and Torchwick watched in horror as Qrow's upper body fell to the ground. He landed face-up, and met Jaune's gaze. "J...Jaune..."
Legume gave enough slack to the chain for Jaune to collapse in a heap on the ground. He smirked as he looked upon the bodies. "Your will be done, Lord Adam- I have executed them both."
"You... you bastard!" Torchwick roared. "Hasn't that kid suffered enough?!"
Legume turned his gaze towards Torchwick. "Silence, unless you wish to be next."
Torchwick was shaking, but lifted his weighted cane in his hands.
"Crap, is he gonna kill Torchwick, too?!" Ruby fretted, not even bothering to point out the irony anymore.
With Legume distracted, he failed to see Jaune's fluttering eyes. He looked down to see Qrow, using the last of his life to extend his hand. "Jaune... this is your final lesson. Let me show you... my ultimate... technique." His entire body began to glow with Hamon. "Jaune... everything that I am, I pass to you!"
Legume, who'd been on the verge of swinging at Torchwick, turned and stared, wide-eyed, at the glow that overcame the entire chamber.
"ULTIMATE... DEEP PASS... OVERDRIVE!"
Jaune thrashed on the ground as the energy filled him like volts- he screamed, but did not, at any point, let go of Qrow's hand.
"This is amaaaazing!" Nora cried, unsure whether to cheer or cry at this point.
At last, the glow died down, and Qrow's hand fell to the ground. He was still breathing, but his hair had turned white, his skin set with wrinkles, as though he'd aged several decades over the past few seconds. "It's done... I've given you... all my Hamon... my life energy."
Jaune was shaking, trembling with repressed sobs.
"How touching," Legume grunted. "Now it's time for me to grind you both into paste beneath my boot!"
"You have no idea how badly I want to jump in there and kick his ass myself," Yang growled.
"I'd say 'get in line,' but you'd absolutely be at the front," Blake conceded.
Legume's boot was an inch from Qrow's face when he found himself pulled back and slamming into the ceiling, just as he'd repeatedly slammed Jaune before. The cause was no mystery- Jaune held his end of the chain in his hands, pulling with enough force to shake even the brute on the other end. "You..." Legume choked out.
"Lifting Legume like that..." Torchwick's eyes widened. "Not injured... Qrow's Hamon fixed you up and then some!"
Jaune didn't speak- he instead put his hands on the collar binding him to the chain and began to pull.
Legume laughed from where he hung. "FOOL! I TOLD YOU ALREADY, IT'S NO USE! EVEN I, WITH THE STRENGTH GRANTED ME BY LORD ADAM, COULDN'T BREAK THESE CHAINS, AND YOU THINK A MERE HUMAN CAN?!"
Jaune ignored him, and continued to pull, his body glowing with Hamon amplifying his strength. At last, bit by bit, the steel began to bend... to warp...
To break.
Legume and Torchwick watched in awe as Jaune broke free of the collar- sending Legume crashing to the ground.
"Alright, Fearless Leader!" Nora whooped.
"Jaune..." Pyrrha looked at Legume with the iciest look anyone present had seen on her face, "smash."
"Gladly," Jaune agreed.
Jaune glared down at his opponent as he stepped forward. "You have been utterly twisted by Adam's darkness. You have given yourself to him from the bottom of your soul."
Legume growled and rose to his feet, twirling the chain like a lasso- but Jaune caught it before it could make contact. Hamon crackled along the chain- in seconds, Legume's arm had melted to the ground.
Legume screamed. Jaune's voice remained even. "Legume... for what you've done, I won't allow anything of you to remain in this world. I will banish your evil spirit!"
Legume snarled, and broke into a run- he clenched his jaw, breaking off two of his teeth and spitting them at Jaune as he charged- but they turned to dust before they could touch his Hamon-infused skin.
"That was your last dirty trick!" Jaune yelled. "Sunlight Yellow Overdrive!"
He drove his fists into Legume's skull- one above, one below, yelling as he poured as much Hamon into the strike as he could. Legume's skull visibly and audibly cracked, buckling beneath the weight...
And then his form exploded. As Jaune promised, there was nothing left.
"Game... set... match," Ren commented in a tone of eerily tranquil fury.
At last, Oscar awoke. "Mr... Mr. Red Hair? What happened?"
"It's over, kid," Torchwick told him. "Legume's dead, and-" His eyes widened. "-and Branwen!"
Jaune was already kneeling over Qrow's ruined form- Torchwick made a beeline over. To both their surprise, there was still some life in his eyes.
"Quick! Use Hamon to heal him!" Ruby pleaded.
"Ruby..." Weiss commented slowly, "I know Hamon can do some amazing things... but half his body's gone. I don't think all the Hamon in the world could fix that."
"How do they know if they don't try!" Ruby sobbed.
Jaune was no longer holding back his own tears. "I don't believe this... what will we do without you, Mr. Branwen?"
Qrow let out a painful chuckle. "Don't lose your wits, boy... you can grieve after the job's done. You have everything you need. Go... go and settle the score with that deranged brother of yours. Destroy the mask." He coughed, and a great deal of blood came up. Oscar yelped and buried his crying face in Torchwick's coat. Almost unconsciously, Torchwick put a hand on his back.
Qrow took a rattling breath. "I... accepted this fate... a long time ago. I had a wife, you know, a long time ago. We had a beautiful baby girl... and here I am, abandoning them in the pursuit of this mask. In the end, destroying it wasn't my fate- it was the blazing sun I see before me. It was only ever my role to light the flame. Still... I'm content. If I had to hand this job off to anyone, let it be to the man I consider a son, brother, and friend, all in one. Go on... become the light of hope this world needs. Do that, and I'll always... be... by your... side..."
His hand went limp.
Ruby and Yang were sobbing- everyone else except Blake and Ren were with them, though even the most silent audience members were trembling.
Blake gulped. "There was a novelist, William Thackeray who once said... 'To love and win is the best thing. To love and lose, the second best.'"
Yang wordlessly pulled her into a tight hug. Weiss didn't say anything, but Ruby did the same to her anyways.
When they finally escaped the training grounds to the bottom of the canyon, they found some wood and built a pyre for Qrow. They remained silent as it burned. Jaune knelt down. Goodbye, Mr. Branwen. I've taken everything you had to give me... though I didn't want it.
XXXX
A very uplifting note to go out on, I know. But good news! Those of you who've just been waiting for Jaune to punch Adam's face in- next episode. It's actually been a lot of fun, covering Jojo like this- I watched it a couple years back to see what all the hype was about, and in a rare twist, it actually lived up to my expectations, quickly becoming my favorite anime (though Fairy Tail may be closer to my heart, as a best friend no longer with me was the one to introduce me to it.) All that said, when this Halloween is over, I'm seriously considering starting another YAM spin-off where the audience just goes over more of Jaune's Bizarre Adventure! If that idea doesn't make you want to claw your eyes out from frustration and throw them on the floor, let me know! If it does, let me know anyways! Either way, just... don't you dare go hollow. Gamer4 out.
