Chapter 4
Meanwhile…
He paused.
Kenjaku sensed it and yet… it felt strange. "Did Gojo's presence just leave this world?" he muttered. He couldn't sense the Tooru the least bit, but she is known for hiding her curse energy. Sukuna as well somehow but, how did the Six Eyes vanish instantly?
Despite his presences being gone, he didn't sense any chaotic change. There wasn't a spike in curse energy or anything of the sort.
This… was strange.
"HEY! YOU called this meeting, so are you going to say something or just sit there!"
Kenjaku got back into the moment, he sat at a table with unfamiliar faces. But everyone here is a pawn he can play. "I'm sorry about that my good fellow, I got lost in thought." He said in a perfect English accent.
Fortunately, everyone here spoke English, so he was able to converse with them.
At the end of the table was the sorcerer from North American known as Trigun. And those who lined the side of the table were the dragon slayers. So far, everyone here has failed to do a simple hit job. So it's time for a little motivation and perhaps cooperation.
"It appears that the task before all of us is a little bigger than anticipated, isn't it?" Kenjaku asked aloud. "However, the thing is, we are all after a similar goal. Some may not see it as such, however, if we peer at one another's end game…"
"Shut the hell up you biscuit!" Trigun protested. "Go drink some tea for that matter, look. I came here to make a name for myself. I am going to go after the curse womb known as Tanso, however I hit a snag. Not to mention, I just caught a glimpse of Satoru Gojo's daughter. What a fine piece of ass she is!"
Kenjaku took a moment of pause. Yua's children… should still be children… shouldn't they?
"The last time I was informed of those children… they were seven and eight years old…"
"Tsk! Get your eyes checked then!" Trigun protested. "She was a pre teen… just my type to break and turn into an obedient wife!" he decreed. "So I don't know what your goals are, but those are mine. Tanso's head on a pike… and Gojo's daughter on MY pike!" he said and gestured to his groin.
'He knows what his goals are. I'll give him that…' Kenjaku thought.
"We lost our best scouting team to dragons… how on earth did they fall so quickly! We got a message from them too that they caught three and saved a human slave!" protested the dragon slayers.
"That… human… was no slave… at least I don't believe so. If anything, the human fooled your scouting team. He is working with the dragons." Kenjaku explained. "So it means that you can't quite trust just anyone… however I share your goal of eliminating the dragons. They should not and cannot be in control of this world!"
The slayers nodded. "They can control many things without even trying. Wealth, luck, war, weather, the stock markets… they are very over powered, and if their sights set on something…" one slayer explained. "They can also ensure either victory or failure upon you, depending on how they see you…"
'Good to know, but perhaps that flag has already been planted upon me, but, time will tell' Kenjaku thought.
He was learning much at the table, Trigun however appeared to be zoning out. "Look, you assholes have your goals, I got mine, we're not the same here!" he protested.
Kenjaku smiled. "Tanso has visited that little zoo you went to, I know you had poisoned the animals there to get his attention, have you not?"
Trigun paused, he glared down the table at him, but Kenjaku kept that smile on his face. "You know of that?" Trigun demanded.
"Of course I do!" Kenjaku laughed. "I also know your technique, I have seen it before in a similar setting. You have the create ability do you not? However, it's limited to the item in your left hand, you replicate it and it formed in your right out of curse energy. All items made from said energy can be used to destroy curses, can't they? Which is why people never assume you are a sorcerer for you are using 'common' items, but they are made from your power"
The child froze and fell silent to him.
They haven't met face to face until now.
But Kenjaku keeps his finger on the pulse of everyone… especially someone useful to him.
"Tsk… so you know my technique… what of it!?" he demanded.
"Why is it that you have yet to use it to your advantage? By my account, you can keep making items until you run out of curse energy, and by judging your videos, you don't run out that easily either, you have been blessed with a large reserve… so, I ask this. Why haven't you lured Tanso into a trap yet? You could take your time rigging an area and then lure him, couldn't you?"
The child sneered at him. "Are you offering to help?" he asked.
Kenjaku leaned in on the table. "Let's say a favor for a favor. If I help you get rid of Tanso… you help me and the fellow dragon slayers here. When you are done, and we achieve our mission… I will personally deliver the daughter of Yua Tooru directly to you. Sounds agreeable?"
He was tempted.
Why he wanted the Tooru child? Well, he knows why. This one is aware of the clan, their abilities… but he is also a pervert out to get what he wants. They are usually the most determined since after all. When they have their eye on a prize… that prize can age… they want to ensure the 'freshness' of their prey.
"How do you suggest I take out the curse womb?"
Kenjaku smiled. "First off, I think you need to go back to the zoo you were at, and start rigging your traps there. A forest maybe a better option since he knows the layout of the zoo… but if anything, rig both areas"
"And after?"
"If you fail, I have little doubt he will kill you. If you survive… well… you will have little use our cause here. Unless something comes up or the odds were not to your favor…" He said bluntly. "After all, if you can't take down a curse womb. You won't stand your ground against a dragon now, can you?"
Trigun went silent.
He stared at Kenjaku with disbelief before his attention came to around the table and the slayers who sat there. First, he snorted a laugh and pointed to them. "You… believe in dragons!? Look, I've seen curse dragons, but real deal dragons? Don't you think my country would be the first ones on this dragon hunt rather than you tea sipping bastards?" he laughed.
"Americans…" one muttered.
"Hey!"
"Enough, it appears we are not going to get far. If anything, Trigun, I suggest you keep an open mind, for in this world, there are more than just curses to worry about." Kenjaku warned.
He sneered before leaving the room.
The slayers sneered as he did. "Why was he even invited?"
"Everyone has a purpose, perhaps his will come later on. I doubt Tanso is going to kill him unless he does something absolutely foolish. After all, the curse womb is a celebrity, if anyone catches him doing something… unsavory, then it will be known all around… he would ruin his brothers' fun. So he won't do anything too drastic. That's the weakness of the curse wombs… their brothers." He said and then peered at the dragon slayers. "You understand what I am hinting towards?"
The slayers smirked. "You have explained the… family dynamic of the dragons we are hunting, the curse wombs are seen as siblings to them. Which means we can target the dragons by targeting them." Stated one of the slayer.
"I recommend on named Noritoshi Kamo… he goes by Toshi now. But he has become a pillar among the brothers despite not being part of the original family. He was adopted into their ranks rather quickly. Therefore if he is taken down, the family itself will fall as well."
There was chatter, but the slayers were smiling. "We know we are not that strong as sorcerers. However, we have been making up for it. In fact our technology is beyond what has been seen here. For example… we have a device that can capture curses… and break them down into energy to fuel our weapons…" one said offhandedly.
Kenjaku recalled that memory from his shell. In fact, the shell saw it first hand as it tore a curse apart, forcing its energy out. But the machine absorbed it and turned it into power. How they transferred that power into the weapons he has yet to learn. But, now he is aware of it.
"Then that would be a good way of disposing of this curse womb. Use him as a power source and then… use that power against his brothers."
The slayers nodded in agreement. "We get rid of them, the dragons will come running. They usually avenge their kin if something like this happens and if they are close." Said another.
"Gentlemen, I suggest we wait and see the results of Mr. Trigun, and then, we will act accordingly from there!"
The table agreed with his notion. So for now, they will bide their time and wait. Kenjaku on the other hand, has been plotting a way of bring Ryomen Sukuna back to his side.
A wild card like him, is better in Kenjaku's hands than that of his enemies…
