Chapter 84 - A Student's Heart VII - Mutsuki

...

After waking up sandwiched between my two new girlfriends, I decided to make them some breakfast, doing so after squeezing myself out of the twins' tight and loving grasp. Arona made sure to pop out and eat as well. To my surprise, all of the Game Development Department loved my food about as much as Arona does, to my joy. I oughta start cooking for more people.

I opted to leave the four girls to their own devices, nodding them farewell after we ate and spoke for a bit. Momoi and Midori were still quite embarrassed about the dating thing, so they opted to keep it a secret from Yuzu and Aris. Arona, on the other hand, can notice these things pretty easily. She's very observant, from what I've found, more so than one would notice at first.

While leaving Millennium, I was surprised by a text from Fuuka.

I have a favor to ask, Sensei. Do you have time today?

Yeah. Of course.

Yay!

I'll wait for you at the student dining hall at Gehenna.

I'll be there.

Well, looks like I have new plans. Off to Gehenna then!

Going to Gehenna, and after asking a random student for directions, I arrived at the dining hall. It was a massive room that reminded me of lunch back when I went to school. Fuuka was near the kitchen area, looking up as I approached, before smiling upon recognizing me.

"Oh, Sensei. Y-You came after all!" The lunch girl says.

"I told ya I was comin'." I say. "Still, what's up?"

"I-I was planning on going grocery shopping today." She explains. "...and I think there's going to be too much for me to carry. I hate having to rely on a teacher for something so minor, but-"

"Fuuka, it's fine." I say, raising a hand to placate for worries. "I'd be glad to help you. 'Sides, I'm pretty strong, y'know."

She giggles, a small blush on her face. "Thanks, Sensei. All right, let's get to shopping. I have a long grocery list to go through."

With a nod, I follow Fuuka out of Gehenna Academy and towards the shopping area of the district.

I followed Fuuka to a massive supermarket, which- from what she told me- was the biggest one in Gehenna and one of the biggest in the city. I sure was bigger than some places I've been in, like that big-ass Walmart we had back home. Fuuka and I ended up filling up a couple of shopping carts. I pushed two at the same time.

"Supermarkets always manage to get me excited." Fuuka exclaims. "Er, that's not strange, is it?" She asks, cautiously.

"Meh." I shrug. "To each their own. I ain't in a place to judge others. It just means you like these kinds of places."

"I suppose I do..." She says, thoughtful. "There's just something about a cool breeze coming down aisles of fresh food that makes my heart race. All the colorful fruits and vegetables on display are so captivating. It's like a treasure trove for chefs!" She pauses, a bit wary. "That's how everyone feels, isn't it?"

"Nah. Though I'm sure you're not alone in that opinion." I say, hoping to reassure her.

Fuuka opens her mouth to speak, before pausing, her eyes catching something. "Oh!" She says, running to some vegetables. "Look, Sensei! This cucumber still has its spines intact." She says, picking one up to examine it closer. "I can tell this one is good because it's firm and the tip is still moist." She then puts it down and happily runs over to some watermelon. "Oh! This watermelon is a winner too! Just listen to the sound it makes when I tap it."

"Heh." I chuckle. "Shoulda known you'd be an expert at this kinda thing."

She awkwardly pulls away from the melon. "S-Sorry, I guess I got a little carried away." She says, awkwardly chuckling. "I give it my all when it comes to cooking meals for the academy, but it's challenging to keep the innate flavors of the ingredients when cooking such large portions. That's why so many students complain about the food having no taste."

I raise an eyebrow at that. "That adds up." I say, before smiling. "Still, I'm glad to hear you're puttin' so much thought and effort into it."

She blushes. "Stop. You're going to embarrass me. M-More importantly, that was the last of the ingredients I need."

"Time to check out, eh?" I ask.

"Not at all, Sensei." Fuuka says, confusing me. "The real shopping has only just begun."

"Heh?" I ask, dumbly.

Fuuka went up to a robotic man working at the store. "Hello, I'd like to buy something here."

"How can I help you, ma'am?" He asks.

"I appreciate how fresh your bell peppers and cucumbers are." She begins. "Good size, good quality... These are the kinds of ingredients that I know I can make something delicious with. They're so impressive that I keep coming back for more."

"Ah. So you're a regular, then." He realizes. "Would you mind if I asked where this is going...?"

"You see, I'd like to start buying in bulk, if possible." Fuuka explains clearly. "I need enough to feed every student at Gehenna and then some."

"Ah, I see!" The robot man says, clearly surprised by her request. "Did you have a price in mind?"

"Since I'm trying to buy this many items at once..." She begins. "How does this price seem to you?" She asks, sliding a piece of paper to him, over the counter.

"Uh... I'll have to consult with my manager about that price..." He says, shaken.

"I'll tell you what. At this price, I'll also buy a month's worth of food for our dining hall." The blackette suggests.

"...!" The man gasps. "V-Very well. We have a deal."

"Glad to hear it. Pleasure doing business with you!" She says, happily.

"Fuckin' hell." I say as we walk away. "I think that's the second time I've seen hagglin' that good here."

"Second?" Fuuka asks.

"There's a girl over in Hyakkiyako who runs most of the festivals over there. She's good at that too." I explain. "Then again, your both the presidents of your clubs..."

She smiles. "Well, let's head back, Sensei!"

The next hour was spent carrying an unnecessary amount of food to Gehenna. Fortunately, the Shittim Chest helped out as I used its hammer space to carry most of it. Good thing Arona was asleep, or she would've been surrounded by boxes.

Fuuka thanked me for the help, then we parted ways. It seemed my day was open, nothing to do.

Then Mutsuki texted me.

I suddenly feel wary.

Sensei! Problem Solver has received a special request!

Another huge request!

Another interesting request!

I... I see.

So whaddya want me to do?

Come and help me, obviously!

Meh, I'm not doing anything right now.

I'll be there quick as I can.

Yay!

Knowing her... she's up to something. Pocketing my phone, I relent to my unknown fate as I walk back to the DU district to meet up with the imp girl.

"Yoohoo, Sensei! Over here!" Mutsuki shouts, waving her arm around as I approach her.

"Yo-o?"

My greeting gets interrupted by her glooming me, wrapping her arms around me. Sighing, I just let her do what she wants. Despite that, I'm curious. "So what exactly is this 'special request' about?"

"Hahaha!" She laughs with her trademarked impish grin as she lets me go. "Um, it's nothing... It's just that we have a whole bunch of commissions, and I could desperately use your help with them."

I wordlessly raise an eyebrow. Mutsuki just smiles wider.

"Hehe! Well? How about it?" She asks. She looks up to me with puppy dog eyes and a sad face. "You wouldn't leave a poor, helpless student alone in her moment of need, would you? Sen~se~i~?" She says, purring my title.

"Hmm. I wonder..." I challenge. "Besides, if it's such a big thing, shouldn't the other three be helping you too?"

Mutsuki pouts, before walking closer to me and poking me in the chest with every word. "You. Will. Help. Me. Out!" She says with a determined face, before putting out, "Right, Sensei?" She smiles. "You already came all this way, so you can't back out now!"

"Schale's not too far from here, y'know?" I challenge with a smirk, only serving to widen hers. "But fuck it. Fine. I'll help ya."

Mutsuki giggles happily. "I knew you'd cooperate, Sensei!"

I just shake my head at the small girl's antics. "So, which one should we get done first?"

"Well..." She says, taking out a paper from her pocket. "Thankfully, I wrote down the list of commissions here."

"Oh?" I reach my hand out towards it-

smack

-before Mutsuki slaps it away. "Sorry, Sensei! It's got my eyes only! I can't go giving out the clients' personal information, can I? Nope. I can't show this to anyone, not even you."

I just shrug. "Meh. Fair enough."

She clears her throat. "Then, without further ado, here's the first commission! It's about..."

After Mutsuki told me what it was, I ended up following her to a cafe.

"You're sure this is a real commission?" I deadpan.

"Yup!" She chirps, happily. "According to the client, we must 'try every crepe sold at this dessert cafe, and determine which is the best'." She reads off the list.

"Out of them all? There's like a dozen of 'em." I say, gesturing towards the menu on the wall.

"Well, no worries." She says, pocketing the list. "We can finish them without a problem. More importantly..." Her grin widens. "...we can leave the expenses to you, Sensei~"

"Mmhm." I hum, wholly unimpressed.

"Ri~ght?" She purrs, her grin wide as can be. "You can't turn down a student's request, can you, Sensei?" She says, before looking sad again. "Especially when your precious student is working hard to fulfill a client's commission. Or... are you going to say no?"

I feel my eye twitch. This brat...!

As I sigh, she perks up, laughing happily. "Thanks, Sensei!"

The two of us then found ourselves each eating a dozen crepes- small ones, thankfully. Mutsuki happily munched on her pastries. "Mmm! You just can't go wrong with strawberries~ But bananas are nice and sweet, too."

"Nn." I hum in agreement before swallowing my bite. "They're pretty good." As we both enjoy our food, I notice something. Feeling like teasing the girl back, I suppress a smirk. "You got somethin'."

"Hm?" Mutsuki blinks, confused by what I mean.

I reach over and use my finger to wipe a bit of crepe from her cheek, near her mouth. "I got it." I say, letting her inspect what it was for a sec, before I pop the crumb into my mouth and eat it.

Pinkish red eyes blink in surprise at my action. A small blush even appears on her face, much to my delight. I notice her stare and fake confusion, "Hm? What's up?"

"Ah, n-nothing." She quickly deflects, averting her gaze. Did she just stutter? That's so cute.

To my surprise, we ate all of the crepes without any issues. Neither of us got too full. I guess they were rather small, huh? We ended up eating the rest of them as we walked together.

"This might be the best crepe ever!" Mutsuki says with a laugh as she finishes off her last one. "Aww. But it's so hard to decide..." She bemoans.

"Ugh. That was way too damn much sugar." I groan. I can't remember the last time I ate that much sugar. They really piled a lot of it on those things, despite their size. "I don't see how you can eat so many of those damn things."

The imp shrugs. "Well, that's enough of that. Let's move onto the next commission!"

"Let me guess- it has something to do with the amusement park we just so happened to walk to?" I deadpan again.

She ignores me. "The second commission is simple! The client wants us to 'investigate which horse on the merry-go-round at this amusement park is the fastest'."

"...Don't they all go the same speed, though?" I ask; a touch confused as I eye the machine, spinning off to the side.

"Come on, Sensei, don't be like that." She smiles happily. "Just pick one! I'm going with that red horse over there! I bet it's about three times faster than the other ones!" She grins.

Sighing, I relent. The both of us hop on horses next to one another. Geez, it feels weird to be on one of these as an adult.

"Ah! It's starting to move!" Mutsuki exclaims.

We ended up riding each pair of horses, all of them going the same speed. But Mutsuki just laughed it off as we left. "They're all the same speed! Well, I guess there's nothing we can do about that." She shrugs, before laughing more happily than before. "Kehehehe~ Let's move on to the third commission, Sensei!"

"Wha-? Hey!" I shout as she grabs my hand and begins to run to who-knows where. Once again, I just relent.

"Of all the places I expected to go next, the library wasn't one of 'em." I say as Mutsuki and I entered the building.

"Well, this is where our next commission is." She says, whispering. "It says 'Please place every book in a bookshelf upside down without anyone noticing'."

"Wow. Great prank, mysterious client." I deadpan.

"A job's a job." She says, nonchalant as she pockets the list again. "And there's no rule that says we can't just put them all back they way they were. Right, Sensei?"

"Ugh, fine." I groan.

Mutsuki quietly titters. "Thanks, Sensei!"

The rest of the day went about the same. Mutsuki read off a list of things that 'clients' asked for them to do, and we did them. All of them. By the time we were done, the world was bathed orange in the evening sun.

"That HAS to be all of them." I say, as we walk through a park.

"Kehehehe~" Mutsuki impishly laughs. "Well, let's see-"

But as she says that, a strong gust of wind blows the paper out of her hand. "Ah."

Smirking, knowing that I'm about to pull the rug out from under her, I leap up and catch the paper easily. "Now let's see here..."

"Oh, Sensei!" She says, frantic. "Don't worry about that, just hand it back to me...!"

But it's too late, as I've already read the paper. The clients name is- "Really? You couldn't even write down a fake name? You just put 'Mutsuki' in the client name spot."

She stills, looking upset for a mere second, before she grins maliciously. The girl runs toward me, full speed. Curious as to what she's doing, I don't retaliate, just letting her push me down onto the grass with both hands.

Regaining my bearings, I look up at the imp girl, her skirt, tie, and hair swaying in the wind as she looks down at me with a smug expression.

"Ah, what a shame." She says in a sing-song voice. "Looks like I've finally been caught. The client was none other than your cute little student, Mutsuki!" Honestly, I can't take care of a Problem Solver mission all by myself." She says. "What do you think, Sensei? My prank worked flawlessly, didn't it?"

"Pfft. As if I didn't know it was you from the start." I retort. "You could've at least TRIED to be subtle about it."

"Oh-ho? So you were onto me from the start? I guess I should've expected that from you." She shrugs, before sighing happily. "Still, we did a lot of fun stuff today... We ate crepes, stopped by an amusement park, and were partners in crime at the library! It's such a shame you're so suspicious, Sensei." She pouts. "I could've fooled you easily if that weren't the case. But... that just means I'll have to try harder next time! So look forward to it!"

I just flash a deadpan stare at her, completely unimpressed.

"Ara?" She asks, before smirking deviously. "You know... from down there, you could probably sneak a peek at my panties."

I raise an eyebrow. "Heh...?"

"Oh, come on. You could've gotten back up at any time. Were you hoping to catch a glance, Sensei?" She teases. "Hmm. Maybe I'll let you do just that." She says, grabbing onto the hem of her skirt and lifting it a bit, letting me see more of her thighs. I manage to see the edge of her black panties before she shoves the skirt back down while bending over. "Nah!" She grins. "Neh, what's with that look? Were you really hoping to see them? Kufufu~ You perverted Sensei~" She teases.

...Y'know... I think I need to get back at her for this, especially after today.

"Heh. Y'know, you're not the first girl here in Kivotos I've met that likes to tease people. But I've noticed you all have one thing in common." I say.

"Oh? And what's that?" She challenges, still bent over and smirking.

"You girls always tease people who don't tease back, making yourself comfortable with teasing anyone, knowing there won't be repercussions. But-"

"Wha?!"

Mutsuki shrieks as I quickly sit up and grab onto her collar, pulling her down on top of me. The girl's eyes widen as she finds herself sat on my stomach.

"You girls are super strong when it comes to teasing, but super weak when it comes to being teased." I finish, smirking.

"I... well..." She says, blushing strongly, her face not far from mine.

"Oh? Where'd all that bravado go? Is it embarrassing being in this position? Or... is it because our faces are so close?" I tease.

"I... wuh... geh..." Mutsuki stutters out noises, sounding more like Haruka than anything.

"But I will admit, I did enjoy spending time with you today." I say, causing her pinkish eyes to blink, clearly caught off guard.

She manages to calm herself, smiling. "Yeah. I had fun. You're always fun to hang out with, Sensei." She admits. "Hmm... I can see what Haruka was on about."

"Oh?" I ask, curious.

"She ended up telling me all about you and your litter harem, you know?" Mutsuki says, surprising me. "Kufufu~ You perverted Sensei, seducing your students like that..."

I scoff. "If anything, it's you girls who're seducing me." I correct. "Thought I'm curious why you're bringin' this up."

"Hmm~ I wonder..." She smirks, before boldly grabbing onto my face and pulling me to hers.

Our lips connect quickly as she happily kisses me. After a moment, we part. Her blush is even stronger, but she seems happy.

"If you wanted to join, you could've just asked." I smile.

"Aww, but where's the fun in that?" She pouts. "Fufu~ Maybe if you keep it up, I'll actually let you see my panties."

"I saw the edge of 'em. They were black." I smirk, hoping to get her. And it works, her mouth and eyes open in shock as her blush strengthens. Then she smiles.

"So you WERE looking." She smirks. "Pervert Sensei~"

"Hey, I wasn't the one offering a show, you damn mesugaki." I retort.

"Hahahaha!" The name I called her, causes her to laugh uproariously. "Mesugaki? Seriously?"

"What? I can't compliment my girlfriend's looks?" I ask. "How mean."

"Fufufu~" She laughs. "Yeah, I don't think I'll regret this." She says before bending down and kissing me again. This time, surprising me by sticking her tongue in my mouth.

This goddamn brat...

After making out for a short bit- which surprised me as Mutsuki went from shy to bold in an instant-, we sat down on a nearby bench and talked for a bit. I explained my story, which got an interesting reaction from her.

"Huh. Now I know how Haruka feels when she wants to destroy something for Aru."

They way she said that, with calm rage, made me kinda happy.

After that, we parted ways, but not before I sent her and the twins a link to the harem chat group. It still feels weird calling it that.

Unfortunately, by the time I got back home, I found I had a sudden and large amount of paperwork to do.

Fuck...

Meanwhile, at Sensei's Harem Chat Group...

Yuuka: So why did Josh ask us all here?

Hoshino: To welcome the new members, of course!

Shiroko: And also to test their intentions. We can't have anyone using Josh for their own gain.

Chinatsu: That's a smart idea.

Haruka: Y-Yeah! I agree.

Hoshino: Josh actually agreed on it back when we first got together. We can't have a repeat of the last time.

Yuuka: Ah. Right.

Chinatsu: Does anyone know who joined?

Shiroko: Josh said it would be a surprise.

Haruka: Well, knowing him I-I'm sure they're nice.

-Mutsuki has joined.-

Haruka: EH?!

Mutsuki: Oh, Haruka! Hey there!

Mutsuki: Guess who joined~?

Haruka: Bwa? Ha? Hawa?!

Yuuka: Is she alright?

Mutsuki: Hehe, she'll be fine. Just give her a sec.

Chinatsu: Well, I'll admit, this definitely is a surprise.

Mutsuki: Oh, you're here too?

Hoshino: Hueh, I shouldn't be surprised.

Mutsuki: And why's that?

Shiroko: You definitely seem like the kind of person to tease Sensei only to get teased back.

Hoshino: Like that Hanako girl over at Trinity.

Shiroko: A thousand yen says she joins.

Hoshino: You know not to offer stupid bets, Shiroko.

Yuuka: I take it you two know her as well?

Hoshino: Yeah, her and Haruka's group helped us out a while back.

Yuuka: Oh? She's a part of Haruka's group?

Haruka: Y-Yeah, she is.

Mutsuki: I caught Haruka looking at texts from you gals and Josh, so she explained the harem thing. I figured if that was the case, I might as well see if I can join!

Haruka: I-I'm surprised you and Josh got together, Mutsuki.

Shiroko: Hold on, Josh said multiple people were coming? Who else is coming?

-Midori has joined.- -Momoi has joined.-

Yuuka: GAHK?!

Midori: Is this the right group?

Momoi: Look at the name! It's totally the right one.

Yuuka: YOU TWO?!

Momoi: YUUKA?!

Midori: WHAT THE HELL?!

Chinatsu: Oh? You know these two?

Momoi: Yeah, Yuuka's always out to get our club.

Yuuka: That's because you two always get up to no good!

Yuuka: Haah. At least you girls have gotten better since Josh helped you out.

Midori: ...Honestly, I shouldn't be surprised that you're dating Josh too.

Yuuka: And why, Midori, would you say that?

Midori: When we first met him, you showed up and were really shy around him.

Momoi: Oh! I remember that! You blushed super hard from a compliment he gave you! It's makes total sense!

Hoshino: Haha! They've got you there!

Mutsuki: That's nice and all, but you still haven't introduced them.

Midori: Ah right. My twin sister and I are both are a part of Millennium's Game Development Department.

Momoi: Long story short, Josh helped us out when our club was about to get shut down by the Demonic Treasurer.

Yuuka: Another weird nickname?!

Shiroko: That adds up. He helped our school out.

Midori: Eh? Your whole school?

Shiroko: To be fair, Abydos only has five students.

Hoshino: Yeah, but that just means what he did for us meant more.

Hoshino: Anyway, welcome to the club you two! Feel free to swing by Abydos if you have the time!

Shiroko: Nn. We could use more tourists.

Haruka: U-Um, it's nice to meet you two.

Mutsuki: Don't mind Haruka, she shy.

Momoi: That's no big deal. Our club's president is super shy.

Midori: She usually hides in a cabinet, but has been coming out more since Josh helped us.

Haruka: Eh? A cabinet?

Momoi: Yup. A tall one in the club room.

Momoi: Come to think of it, we should do the same thing as Hoshino did! You all should totally come by and play games with us!

Chinatsu: You mean video games?

Midori: That's a great idea, Sis! I'm sure Aris would love more fiends. Yuzu too, even if she'd hide from them at first.

Hoshino: That's not a bad idea. Maybe we should start meeting up at each of our academies or something.

Mutsuki: Hey, that sounds neat. Our group didn't stay over there for too long. Plus, I don't think we've ever been to Millennium.

Yuuka: I'll admit, I've never been to Gehenna or Abydos.

Midori: Us neither.

Chinatsu: And I've never been to Abydos or Millennium.

Haruka: Ehehe... It kinda sounds like a field trip or something.

Hoshino: You're looking forward to it, huh?

Mutsuki: Yeah, I thought you'd be more wary of new people.

Haruka: We-Well... I know you girls are nice, even the twins we just met. I-I-I'm sure it'll be fine.

Mutsuki: And if... no, WHEN he gets more girls, we could meet up at other academies. I've always wondered if Trinity looks as nice as the students there say it is.

Hoshino: I've been near there. It's not too bad.

Momoi: I don't think we've been over there before.

Midori: Nope.

Chinatsu: I don't think I'd be very welcome.

Yuuka: Ah, right. That Trinity-Gehenna rivalry. I'd almost forgot about that.

Hoshino: Yeah. What a mess that was.

Shiroko: Hopefully it doesn't get worse.

Mutsuki: Eh? What won't?

Hoshino: Ah, right. I suppose we oughta fill you three in on that stuff.

Momoi: ?

Midori: ?

Mutsuki: Hm?

Mutsuki: Okay, now I see why you called it a mess.

Yuuka: You should've been there when Josh told us what had happened. It took a while for us to calm down.

Haruka: I'm just glad he didn't get hurt.

Hoshino: Knowing him, he'd make the ones trying to hurt him get hurt.

Momoi: Still, wild politics, a eternal rivalry, and a long-lost secret third party after them both? It sounds more like a video game than reality.

Chinatsu: I know what you mean. That school's hatred runs deep. But to think it would fester and grow for this long.

Hoshino: Meh, if he has to face them, we'll be there.

Mutsuki: Oh, yeah!

Haruka: I'll blow them up before they can even think of hurting Josh. Ehehehe...

Momoi: Wow! That's a tone shift!

Mutsuki: Little Haruka's not always a shy girl!

Shiroko: Nn. She's tough.

Haruka: Tha-Thanks...

Hoshino: Hehehe. Still, I think I like the twins' idea. Why don't we all hang out over at their club sometime.

Shiroko: And next time you all can come to Abydos.

Momoi: That sounds great!

Midori: We could always use new opponents to play against!

Yuuka: Oh what the hell? Count me in.

Haruka: M-Me too!

Mutsuki: Me three!

Chinatsu: I'm not very good at video games, but I'll be there.

Hoshino: Then it's settled. We'll all hang out there sometime soon.

Midori: Yes!

Momoi: Just find a date and time and we'll be waiting!

Midori: Er, speaking of, we should probably get back to...

Momoi: Ah, right! It was nice meeting you all! -Momoi has logged off.- -Midori has logged off.-

Yuuka: Geez, those two...

Chinatsu: I suppose it is getting pretty late. We should wrap things up.

Hoshino: Fine by me. We'll talk again sometime.

Mutsuki: You know it! Later! -Mutsuki has logged off.-

Haruka: I'll see you girls again! -Haruka has logged off.-

Chinatsu: Goodbye, girls. -Chinatsu has logged off.-

Yuuka: Night. -Yuuka has logged off.-

Hoshino: All that's left is us, huh?

Shiroko: Seems that way.

Hoshino: Hueh. I'm gonna go nap. -Hoshino has logged off.-

Shiroko: Hehe. -Shiroko has logged off.-

AN

Wow, one of these right after the other, huh?

Also, if you like cunny (which you probably do, seeing as how you're reading a Blue Archive fanfic), I've started writing a Fate Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya story. Go and check it out! It has lemons and stuff so be careful with that knowledge.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter and look forward to the next!
