chapter 22

Lillian walked in the motel room after having a night to herself. At least that's what she told Dean. He probably thought she was at a bar looking for some guy for the night or getting pissed faced to cope with their troubles as of recently. In reality she was returning from one of her rendezvous' with Lucifer. She walked in on the sight of Dean hunched over the end of his bed. He had just got off the phone with Sam and seemed distressed by something.

She approached him and sat next to him on the bed. Bumping her shoulder lightly into his, she spoke up quietly, breaking the silence. "Need to talk?"

Dean sighed loudly as he rubbed the back of his head. His elbows were still resting on his knees, he turned to look at his sister. "Sam called me."

"Really? What did he say? Is he coming back?" Lillian's pitch got a bit louder. She was excited to see her brother again. Even though they had problems to work out she still misses him dearly.

Dean's expression stayed hard as he looked over at his sister. "Sam said that he is Lucifer's vessel."

Lillian's eyebrows knitted together as she took in the information. The leg that had been jumping up and down since she sat down immediately stopped. "What?"

Dean turned forward and looked at the tv that was turned off as he spoke. "Yeah, Sam said Lucifer visited him. Told him that he is his vessel. Honestly I'm not surprised at this point." He looked back at Lillian, "You're surprised?"

She looked down at the floor sheepishly, "I mean yeah, I wasn't expecting that Dean.. He's coming back right?"

"He says he wants to. To redeem himself for all this shit. So we can all hunt Lucifer together." Dean spoke looking away from Lillian.

"So he is right?"

"I told him not to.." He looked away at the ground knowing how his sister would feel.

Lillian stood up now. "Why would you do that? What is wrong with you Dean? Think about how he feels! He is going through all of this just as much as you are, maybe even more! He needs us!"

"Lillian!" Dean yelled back turning towards her. He put his hands out to try to calm his voice, not liking to yell at his little sister. "He just- he isn't ready."

Lillian stared down at her brother in anger. Angry for so many reasons but this was the icing on the cake. Dean had pushed her off the boat and she needed to swim to shore. "Whatever Dean. I can't look at you right now." She abruptly left and slammed the door behind her.

Now that she was by herself she can fully process the information she learned. Sam, her brother Sam, is Lucifer's vessel. The only thing she could feel was betrayal flood her mind. Obviously no one can help the fact that Sam is Lucifer's vessel, but if Lucifer knows this she is not going to be happy. Why would he keep this from her? Is he really using her? What is his ultimate goal?

She teleported to the park where they first met. Sitting on a bench she prayed to Lucifer that she wanted to see him and she wasn't in the mood to wait around all day.

Within seconds of her prayer to him Lillian felt Lucifer's presence. She felt a calming euphoric rush pass over her as he sat next to her. Lillian had a battle with herself in her mind because she is supposed to be angry at the angel beside her. Though when she looks up at him and sees the beauty and the light he beholds, she's betrayed by her true emotions. As Lillian is starstruck staring at the archangel before her she finally realized what the emotions that have been occupying her mind and body every time she was around Lucifer was.

She is falling for the devil…

It's not only on an emotional level. She feels like her body can't be without him. Every time their skin slightly grazes one another it's intoxicating. So calming and breathtaking to be in his presence. When she's away from him she feels like there is something missing. Like the room suddenly feels much bigger and colder, more harsh, but when he's around everything will be okay. Which is ironic considering Lucifer is harsh and is naturally cold to the touch, but he brings Lillian a sense of security. Emotionally she has come to realize she sympathizes with him. She may not agree with everything he says and she does not fear to speak up to him about it. He does not seem to mind when she does though, it almost seems like he enjoys when she does. A fire lights up in his eyes with excitement when she challenges him. Lillian doesn't know what she would do without Lucifer. She knows she's had a hectic life since day one but her life before him now feels dull in comparison.

Lillian was snapped out of her thoughts when she felt a cold hand grasp her chin. "Lillian? I don't have all day…" Lucifer sounded bored as he was trying to get her attention.

Lillian blinked at him. "What did you want? You were quite demanding, be glad I came. I don't let just anyone talk to me that way." Lucifer continued.

Lillian reeled in her thoughts as she remembered why she came. It took all her strength to push Lucifers hand away from her as she glared red eyes at him. "How dare you?" She accused.

Lucifer put his hands up in defense. He had a sarcastic demeanor about him which only infuriated Lillian more. "Woah woah, you got the wrong guy" Lucifer joked.

Lillian wouldn't let go of her death glare on Lucifer. "I know you knew that Sam is your Vessel and you never thought to tell me?"

Lucifer looked at her with a mischievous look as he chewed on his thumb. "The truth would've come out… eventually." He shrugged.

"You're ridiculous!" She turned away from him.

"It's not like I was lying to you!" He pulled her shoulder to turn her to face him again.

"No you were withholding the truth which is pretty much the same thing."

"…really isn't" He spoke quietly trying to justify himself looking at the ground.

"You are not taking my brother as a vessel. My brother won't say yes. I will stop you."

He raised his eyebrow at her. "You are ballsy! Sam will say yes. He has to. You can't stop it."

"I will and I can." She stood up and looked down at him one last time before she left, "You can't stop me."

Dean was left on the side of a highway with Baby. Castiel had just left him after their encounter with Zachariah. Dean was now waiting for Sam to come meet him. He is ready to hunt with his brother again. He had a change of heart and he knows now they are stronger together. Sam needs them. Dean had a million things going through his mind though. After returning from the future and seeing the apocalypse world in 2014 that the angels had brought him to he had a lot to take in. Everything was so different in the most terrible way. It was like his worst nightmare had a nightmare.

While he was leaning on Baby he felt his phone buzzing in his pocket and saw it was from his sister. He squinted his eyes at the caller ID and picked up.

Dean's voice was stern and did not waver as he spoke, "What are you hiding Lillian?"
