Hello people! It's Saturday now in Greece, so... I'm really sorry for the delay 😖! Going to hospital for two days, for some pre-surgery tests and ending up staying four, staring at the hospital room's ceiling for a big part of the day can be very frustrating!

Anyway, the new chapter is here now and a new arc is starting! Blue Cult arc and... Yana Toboso returns to her early sins of heavy anachronisms... *deep sigh remembering Sebastian using a mobile* But we love her and her story so much that we can forgive her, right? 😊

DISCLAIMER: I do not own Kuroshitsuji or its characters. I entirely own only my OCs, arcs and ideas/themes not mentioned in any form of the franchise (manga, anime, games, movies or musicals).

Chapter 44: The Tutor, Shining Stars

Sphere Music Hall seemed to be London's newest sensation; a place with no room for rivalries, class clashes and any kind of negative feelings. Everyone was coming together just to have a fun time discussing, singing and be relieved from normal life and their burdens for a while; rich and poor were brothers and sisters, men and women were equal and elders were like children. The miniature of a simply perfect utopian society... Actually, it was too perfect to be true and innocent and that seemed to have piqued Queen Victoria's interest; therefore, she asked young Earl Phantomhive to investigate after the failure of other officials she had send to do the same and ended up becoming part of this... cult?

However, that was not all. Young lord Edward Midford had just come in search for the Earl's help, since Lady Elizabeth had gone missing!

Edward Midford had visited this Music Hall, after an invitation from his previously Weston senior and prefect, Greenhill. His visit there left quite an intense impression on him, enough to share it with Elizabeth, who, in turn, got so excited - especially at the prospect of fortune telling - that made him promise to take her with him next time... And so he did.

However, he could not foresee that his little sister would not simply enjoy the visit at the event hall, but would actually be so charmed that she would continue visiting with Paula as her only companion and chaperon... until she claimed "her shining thing is here" and stopped returning home entirely! Edward had not felt more desperate before, not knowing what to do other than... seek an evil aristocrat's help; and that was the reason he now joined a disguised Earl Phantomhive, as well as his butler and tutor.

"There are a lot of people. So many kinds..." The young Earl commented seeing indeed extremely diverse people getting together.

"It seems that my seniors are not here today, or Lizzie." Edward added.

"Hello! I have never seen you here before." A young finely dressed lady followed by a cute common girl welcomed Sebastian with a smile. They were both blushing as soon as their eyes spotted the black haired butler... Selina, standing next to him, saw it and could not help but roll her eyes a little. This was getting so often and boring.

"Why do people gather here so much?" Sebastian was asking in his so kind manner, smiling charmingly.

"Mm... I cannot properly explain it... It is just that everybody here talks joyfully with each other, and we can discuss our worries together and even help each other!" The commoner said and smiled brightly at the lady beside her.

She responded similarly. "We want to adopt a positive life style, so we get healed here constantly."

"And we are able to spend our shining moments here with everybody!" They said together and indeed seemed to be so happy about that.

"Shining... I see." Sebastian said in a neutral tone.

"We can talk with anybody here, no matter what social class we are from." The lady said, while joyfully holding hands with the girl.

"It is a really fun place!" The girl also said in a similar manner.

"That is very nice." Sebastian commented happily and noticed both women were wearing similar bracelets on their wrists as they waved him goodbye, wishing him a good time.

"That... was disgusting." Ciel said in a really disgusted manner.

"Indeed." Sebastian agreed. "Hate... jealousy... These are the desires that many people have, but the people here look like not having any of that. Even though desire is the charm of humans... This looks really bad." The demon seemed really troubled.

"Besides that, if harmony and amity between people of different social classes were that easy to achieve, then... what will be the meaning for so many civil and social wars to happen through the years, throughout the world? If this achievement is true it negates the history of the world!" Selina was finally heard and the look on her face showed how worried and perhaps even frightened she was by the prospect of something altering the future. She saw both Sebastian and Ciel looking at her confused. "Oops, sorry. Spoiler alert!" She said smiling a little embarrassed for her carelessness.

"Ciel." Edward pulled at the younger boy's sleeve. "That is the fortune teller I told you about. He is Blavat." He said pointing to a young man dressed in strange star marked robes - like he came out of a wizards' tale - small shining stars attached on his... purplish hair ending in a thin braid on his left and strange tattoos on his hands and forearms. The look on his face was so happy and serene.

"Hmm... I sense a faint not-so-human aura in him... but it is so weak that can easily go undetected." Selina whispered in Sebastian's ear and the demon nodded, he would keep it in mind.

"Well then, shall we let him read our fortunes too?" Ciel said in a casual manner.

"Oh yes. I am looking forward to what he will say to us." Sebastian said somehow cheerfully.

"If he guesses what a demon's worry is, I will believe that he is not a fraud." The young Earl said smirking a little mischievously.

"I cannot think of anything other than that my master is quite reckless, doing whatever he wants." Sebastian responded in a similar manner and headed to be next for his fortune to be read.

All three of them paid attention to how Blavat got surprised or even scared for a moment when he looked at Sebastian, tried to say something while staring at him with wide eyes, and then smiled as the atmosphere changed to a heavier one. He motioned Sebastian to sit on the chair opposite himself.

"Then should I prick-" Sebastian started saying, but was cut off by the fortune-teller.

"No, you do not need to do that. You do not have any protection from a star. I can tell this much by only looking at you. And that is because..." Blavat said smiling, reached out, grabbed Sebastian's lapel and whispered in his ear. "You are not a human, right?"

They could not believe their ears! How was it possible for a human to be able to see through Sebastian's so perfect transformation? Yes, Blavat might not be a hundred percent human, but Sebastian's demonic aura was covered so perfectly to the point that even Selina missed him sometimes if she did not pay attention. So how could the fortune-teller, whose supernatural aura was significantly weaker than any other Selina had come across, uncover his secret just by looking at him? Could it be that he masked his strength and aura so well, just like Selina did at the moment? Then why, could he not tell that Selina too was not a simple human?

"Ahaha, caught you off guard, did I not? Ah! You guys must be thinking I am not a human either or something, right?" Blavat was now saying back in his cheerful way.

"May I ask...? Why do you believe that I am not human?" Sebastian asked casually.

Blavat smirked. "That is a funny thing to ask. That much... I can tell just by looking." He said by placing his fingers over his eye, like he was holding a telescope. "You are a darkness that eagerly gobbles up the glimmer of shining stars. Stars that stray from their orbit and become drawn to you, will wonder in darkness for eternity. Yes, much like... a collapsar."

That was all it took for people surrounding the fortune-telling area to move back, pointing fingers and looking terrified at Sebastian. The happy serenity was gone from their faces and replaced by pure terror and anger, as they were afraid the collapsar would gobble up their own glimmer and rudely demanded him to leave the place.

Ciel and Selina were watching speechless; Selina could not help but feel anger towards the yelling humans rising, while listening to them ousting Sebastian in such a rude way; somehow it hurt her a little... She could not say if it was because her demon looked a little offended or even sad at how everyone rejected him in an instant. The witch shook her head sending away the thought, as she knew Sebastian did not give a damn about what humans thought of him, and his expression right now was part of his role.

Blavat raised his hand in a really relaxed way and everyone fell silent instantly, as if their leader was ordering them. "It appears as though you have spooked all our tiny stars. Sorry, but I am going to have to ask you to leave... Immediately." He said and two men instantly grabbed Sebastian from his arms and literally dragged him out of the chair.

Selina, out of instinct, took a step towards Sebastian with the intention to make the men let him go, but was blocked by the body of her little lord, as he discreetly signalled Sebastian to not do anything and just go with the flow. Sebastian obeyed and followed the men that kept dragging him in a not really polite way.

"Are you two that guy's friends?" Blavat asked suddenly, looking at Ciel and Selina.

"Rather than friends... he is a senior worker from the same factory as we are..." Ciel answered immediately.

"Hm, is that so? Well, whatever. You do not seem like fellow collapsar anyway. Shall I tell you two your fortune?" Blavat was back in his cheerful and serene self entirely.

"But our senior is..." Selina tried to say.

"Ni ha ha, take it easy! We would never harm a pretty little hair on his head. We just had him leave the premises. He is perfectly all right." The fortune-teller giggled.

Ciel exchanged a glance with Selina and then gifted Blavat one of his brightest smiles he practised during the circus case. "Th... Then, maybe just for a bit! To tell you the truth, we were really looking forward to it!" He said and Selina nodded in agreement.

Ciel took his place on the vacant chair, pricked his finger with a needle Blavat gave him and dropped a couple of blood drops in a small bowl, decorated with the zodiac cycle and filled with water. As soon as the blood came in contact with the water, its colour changed to a sky blue and that made Blavat extremely happy.

"Nyaha! It is Sirius! You have the divine protection of Sirius!" He said with a really excited voice and once the people around him heard that, gasped in surprise and immediately started congratulating Ciel for his first magnitude star. They all looked like they adored him.

"W-What is Sirius?" Ciel asked quite overwhelmed by the sudden interest everyone showed for him; Blavat signalled him to wait a little.

"Are you two relatives, by any chance?" He asked looking at Ciel and Selina.

The boy did not know what to say; for some reason he never expected for Selina to be thought as his relative... but then again, why not? She had blue eyes similar to his, in terms of age she could easily be his mother and generally speaking... Yes, he always thought she looked like his mother a little.

Thankfully, Selina got him out of this difficult situation. "I am a cousin of his and the only living relative." She said never leaving Blavat's face from her sight. Once she said that a sparkle appeared in his eyes for a fleeting moment.

He disposed the bloodied water of his bowl in a bucket by his side, refilled the bowl with fresh water and offered Selina the needle. The woman removed one of her gloves and followed the same procedure as Ciel did. The water again turned to sky blue and the fortune-teller seemed unable to contain his excitement.

"Aha ha ha! As I suspected! We are truly blessed to have two Sirius in one night! Such a rare sight, indeed!" He said and the people shared his feelings again as they freely hugged and touched Selina, congratulating and cheering for her.

The woman responded politely but never stopped glancing at Blavat who was smiling with his eyes half-closed; his face still serene and calm but his eyes had taken a more vulture-like quality after spotting a new victim. After a while, he again signalled them to calm down.

"Every person has a star from which they receive divine protection. Polaris. Vega. Canopus. Sirius. And among these four, the first magnitude star, Sirius, is extremely rare. People under Sirius are often geniuses and prodigies. And many of them are very two-faced and versatile. You two are hiding a wonderful radiance inside you." He explained calmly. "However... That afore mentioned darkness is stalking your lights. If you remain idle, you will lose that brilliant light. It would be in your best interest to distance yourselves from that man... the sooner the better." He turned to Selina. "As his only relative and protector you should do it, at least for this little guy's sake. It would be a pity to get... eaten by the blackness. But either way, if you cannot do it on your own... shall I lend a hand to both of you?"

Ciel kept staring at him, as if he wanted to drill his head and see the fortune-teller's inner thoughts. That seemed to only amuse Blavat as he disposed Selina's blood in the bucket.

"Ni ha ha, do not make such a serious face! But yeah, if you take your time, the end will come before you know it." He said insistently staring at the boy.

"We will think about it, right cousin?" Ciel smiled and looked at Selina who responded similarly. "Thank you very much!" He stood up from the chair and both boy and woman moved to leave, but were called back from Blavat.

"Take these." He said handing them two silver bracelets similar to the ones the two women greeting them wore. They had something like a compass on them, the zodiac cycle and a single star attached to the chain. "They are charms. You should be able to feel even closer to Sirius' divinity with it in your possession."

"We thank you very much." Selina said with a smile as she gently tried to push Ciel to leave. Even though the atmosphere was still so calm, peaceful and friendly, her instincts told her to take her master away from Blavat as soon as possible.

"If anything should happen to come up, feel free to pay me a visit anytime." Blavat said with a wide smile and waved them goodbye.

The pair moved away from the fortune-telling area and young lord Edward joined them. "That guy has got some nerve! What was he thinking throwing out your butler like that?!" He seemed really frustrated by the event.

"I have no clue, but..." Ciel was really focused on the bracelet in his hand. "This thing here is genuine silver. It is far too valuable to simply hand out just for getting your fortune read." He kept looking around and saw that everyone wore one, but each had different design and different number of stars on the chain. "That reminds me. Which star was Lizzie?" He asked Edward.

"Umm... It was Canopus... I think. Lizzie was also told she was rare." The young lord said thoughtfully.

Ciel started saying something but the clock struck eleven and everyone got very happy and excited as it was time for carols, as one woman said. Everyone stopped whatever they did and started gathering together.

"Carols...?" Ciel asked Edward.

"Yeah. At the end of the party, everyone sings together. But today seems a little different than usual..." He explained and instantly received quite a heavy smack on his back by a woman behind him.

"What are you talking about? Today is the fourth Saturday, is it not? Look, it is starting!" She said extremely excited and ran to join the others that were standing... in front of a stage.

The stage's curtains were drawn and robed figures with candles in hands and hoods hiding their faces came forward. They started singing what resembled a hymn and the people joined them with great reverence. Once it was over, four of the figures came forward and talked to their audience, calling them tiny stars filled with enough brilliance to guide lost and wandering souls, and the effect these words had on the people was at least surprising, since everyone seemed so happy, appreciated and full of hope.

"Now, let us sing! All together now!" All four of them said and pulled their robes away to reveal... the P4, the previous Weston prefects in extremely flashy costumes. The crowd got really excited and women of all ages let out a shriek that sounded ironically familiar to Selina's ears.

"G-Greenhill?! H-His hair...?!" Edward stuttered as indeed Greenhill's transformation was greater even from that of the nerdy Bluewer.

What a transformation indeed! Bluewer and Violet did not deviate much from their usual appearance, they just looked less stiff - Bluewer - and gloomy - Violet - but much more handsome and attractive, while Redmond was already his usual dandy self... only even more radiant. Greenhill on the other hand, had turned to a sexy - as many female screams indicated - young man, confident to show his ripped physique and wild side through tight clothes and tousled hair.

"Without further ado, please listen to our new song! 'Shining Star!'" They said in unison, encouraging the audience to join them to what came next.

Truth is that what followed - all these spotlights, the perfectly coordinated dance and uplifting, fast singing - drove people, and especially women, to a kind of hysteria! Even Ciel and Edward could not take their eyes off the stage, unable to believe them and Edward seriously doubted his own, seeing Violet dancing, something he never did in school parties and balls. A cold shiver was running up and down Selina's spine as she watched, since everything looked so familiar to her... like a deja vu... a bad one nonetheless.

In the end, she could not resist and started slapping her face while mumbling to herself. "A Victorian boy band?! No, no, no way! I'm dreaming, I'm seriously dreaming! It can't be, it simply can't! Somebody has a really twisted sense of humor!"

The desperation in her voice drew Ciel's attention for a while, but his thoughts pulled him back to the show on stage. The song was so fast and the dance so perfectly executed with an ambience that could excite even someone who did not know the lyrics. Could this be "the shining thing" that Elizabeth was talking about and could be found only here?

After a while, the performance or show, however it could be called, was finished and the people started slowly departing. Ciel exited the hall followed by a dazzled Edward and a totally dizzy Selina; he kept observing the people around him, how they were discussing the talented boys and some kept singing with so much passion, obviously forgetting how weak and hungry they would feel again the following morning.

"Welcome back, young master." Sebastian's cheerful voice pulled the boy out of his thoughts.

"Seba-" Ciel said turning towards the voice and then saw a really absurd sight, one he had never seen, even after Sebastian revealed his relationship with Selina, since they were both quite proper in front of him.

Sebastian was standing with one woman literally hanging from each arm. They were obviously prostitutes, as they did not feel any shame in showing much of their cleavage and their faces were painted quite heavily. They started giggling at the sight of Edward turning red as a tomato and Ciel staring with a similar colour on his cheeks. Sebastian's smiling eyes travelled from his master to Selina staring at the trio with dead eyes. The demon's gaze was challenging the woman but she just waved her hand.

"Bugger, I am too psychologically drained to bother..." She said and started turning to the other side... but then heard the women saying something, as they were resisting Edward's shooing and denied to let go of Sebastian's arms.

"Is this cute blondie the beauty you said she rejected you?" The one woman said.

"Aw, what a pity! Blondie, do not be so harsh on such a handsome and gentle man. You might lose him if you keep being stubborn!" The second one added and they both giggled.

That was enough to refuel the blond witch and as she turned to look at them again, the women would swear her blue eyes had turned to blue cold fires. She pulled on her gloves, smiled at them quite sharply and approached.

"Oh, thank you so much for your concern, but please, do not worry yourselves, ladies. I will take care of him unimaginably well, from now on. I would not like to keep you any further from serving your esteemed clientele, is not that right?" She said, untangling their arms from those of Sebastian's in a not friendly manner at all.

Edward came to her assistance as he tried pushing them away and the two women finally left, giggling and waving to Sebastian that they will see him next time. Sebastian returned the waving with his left hand and then turned to Selina, when he felt like blue icy daggers stabbing him... literally everywhere. He smiled at her quite innocently.

"I wonder... what happens to a contract if the part of the demon's body where the mark is gets amputated?" She asked staring at him through narrowed eyes.

He chuckled totally satisfied with himself and attempted to wrap his arm around her waist but she slapped it away and returned to her master's side. All the way back home, she sat next to the demon in the carriage but with a considerable distance between them.

Back in the town-house, the so mysterious case was discussed over tea and they concluded that the song must have been a means to spread a message, or even dogma, to people coming from all walks of life and, perhaps, aimed especially the lowest class. Illiteracy levels were very high in London at the time, so what was the best way to 'teach' people things? Songs and hymns with repetitive musical patterns and simple lyrics were easy to learn and remember.

As a proof, Soma, entering the discussion uninvited, informed them that everyone in town kept singing the song Sebastian had just repeated... Which also explained the ridiculous demonstration of the accompanying dance the demon did, even though he was not present; one of the prostitutes told him, who had also heard and saw it from a friend.

What could be the songs' messages was still a mystery, but Sebastian managed to collect intel about the bracelets the fortune teller was distributing to people. They were pure silver and the majority of the hall's guests had them in order to gain access to a certain room, where some "really entertaining event" seemed to take place. The idea of Elizabeth attending these special events, behind closed doors, worried and upset lord Edward so much that in a few minutes he withdrew to his room for the night.

"Now, Miss- Mrs. Selina." Ciel said as soon as he was left alone with his two servants. "During the P4's performance you seemed in great distress and you were mumbling something about a... Victorian boy band?" He asked raising one brow questioningly and Sebastian arched his in a similar way, hearing all these for the first time.

"Yes, my lord... it is a little complicated to explain but I will try." Selina said, took a deep breath and tried to put her thoughts in order. "You see, in my era, music has become an industry, a business, and aside the artists that become famous and popular due to their true and natural talents, there are also other kinds of artists created mostly by music companies in order to serve very specific purposes. One of these kinds are boy bands; musical bands consisted by young boys or men, one or two are the main singers, because they actually have talent and beautiful voices, while the rest are perhaps more mediocre. Their music and songs usually hold no significant meaning or message, but are very uplifting and catchy, accompanied by lively dance."

"Just as we saw tonight. Then why bother make them famous, if all of them are not good singers?" Ciel asked, truly unable to grasp the logic of it.

"To complete the set. You have two talented young men, who might be just good-looking, but why not make it better by having them accompanied by some really handsome men, who might be more mediocre in voice but quite beautiful to look at."

"Interesting notion, I must say!" Sebastian said really intrigued. "Their beauty compensates for their mediocre voice and vice versa; so in a way, you have a perfect band of singers... Each can appeal to a different kind of woman – because I bet that this product aims mainly to the female audience – therefore, you have more people following this band instead of how it would be if they were only two good singers, but perhaps not so comely."

"And that translates to more money of course." Ciel added getting the business part.

"Exactly. As you already saw, my lord, the P4 were each transformed in a way and seemed like they had taken up some roles to perform, correct?" Ciel nodded. "That is more or less what happens in the future with boy bands. Each member plays a role, becomes a character that will appeal to a certain kind of woman usually, just like Sebastian said. So you might have the well built, strong handsome man that can be gentle and a little forceful in communicating his supposed passion for a woman; a melancholic youth that brings out the motherly instinct of women of taking care of him and so on and so forth."

"As I said before, my lord... the mentality of the mass." Sebastian said smiling, obviously entertained by all this.

"Obviously... But do not women understand that all this is a performance? I mean, considering how women reacted and screamed for each one... that means they actually believe those loving looks the P4 gave them were indeed directed to each and every woman."

"Not necessarily. They just feel nice and beautiful in the illusion that these men, normally out of their reach, show some affection for them even for a while." Selina explained. "Also, in my era, these types of bands rarely aim for women of all ages. Their target audience is usually around eleven, twelve years old until seventeen, eighteen maximum."

For some reason, that seemed to scare the young lord. "Then why all these women of all different ages got so delirious when they saw the P4, if the target is the young age group?"

Selina chuckled. "Well, my lord. That is another big discussion about suppressed sexual fantasies, for which Freud would be happy, but your butler would turn my skin to a coat in an instant if I attempted to have it now!"

"Oh dear... no way I would do such a thing to you!" The butler said quite offended, although his eyes sparkled really amused.

Ciel nodded, not pressing the matter. He stood up, yawned quite hard and started towards the door, signifying he was retiring for the night. Right before he passed through the door Sebastian had opened for him, he turned back to Selina.

"Since this... product is of your era, Mrs Selina, have you too participated in a similar frenzy?" He asked with a secret hope that was not the case.

Selina chuckled again. "Considering this product, as you very nicely called it, will be at its peak in about a century from now, I literally grew up listening and watching that kind of things all the time, but... thankfully, when the crucial age of puberty came for me, where young people are more receptive to such... stimulants, I had already chosen different musical paths... darker ones." She said, winking to the boy.

The boy could not even imagine what the woman could mean, but was quite relieved she had been apart from crazy masses. He nodded. "Very well, I need to sleep and think about our next move. Sebastian, I want to sleep until a little later in the morning since I go to bed now. Mrs. Selina, you should withdraw too, it is very late." He gave his orders and left, ignoring his servants' bows and "Yes, my lord."

{~}

After Sebastian had helped his master getting to bed, made some preparations for breakfast, checked the town-house's security and withdrew too. He entered one of the bigger servants' rooms he had prepared for him and Selina, and there she was on the double metallic bed, reclining on the pillows while reading under the candlelight.

"Are you not sleeping, my dear?" He asked as soon as he closed the door behind him.

"I have been trying to finish a chapter for three days now." She responded a little coldly, without glancing at him.

Sebastian smirked, getting excited at the evident trace of anger in his mate's voice. He took off his gloves and tailcoat, pushed off shoes and socks, removed his vest and loosened his tie when he stood in front of the bed, right in the middle of Selina's eye range. He kept loosening it and then slowly unbuttoning his shirt, observing Selina's cheeks turning redder by the second but stubbornly refusing to completely raise her eyes from the book she was supposedly reading. That was until Sebastian, with half unbuttoned shirt and trousers, pulled the covers from Selina's legs and climbed on the bed, on top of her, like a flexible feline.

"What are you doing?" Selina asked with wide open, surprised eyes. Sebastian smirked full with innuendo. "I-I am not in the mood... why don't you go to your new friends from earlier?" She furrowed her brows, obviously still bothered by the image of the two women clinging on him like that.

"Oh, would you really like that? Would you really like me doing the things I fantasize to them instead of you, who actually fuel my fantasies?" He asked crawling closer.

"I-I... I need to finish the chapter, it is very interesting." She avoided answering in words, but her face did it for her, getting even redder and hotter. In a flash, Sebastian pulled the book out of her hands and threw it on the floor getting it out of his way. "What are you doing? You will damage it!" Selina cried really anxious.

"I will buy you a new one." The demon said. Now his face was inches away from Selina's; his eyes flashing bright red, his voice so husky and his breath heavier and hotter as he kept inhaling the woman's scent.

"What? Stop that! I hate being a kept woman, having a man paying for anything I want!" She said seriously and attempted to push the demon away, but was surprised to find herself trapped in his arms and her breasts squeezed on his chest.

"I respect and like that, but then... what am I supposed to do with my butler salary? I have little to no needs that can be satisfied by buying things of the materialistic nature." He looked at her with honesty. "And please do not tell me to spend them to my 'new friends' because then I will be forced to persuade you once again ab-" The quick change in her eyes cut him off.

Her anger had gone away in an instant and replaced by sadness. "You do not have to persuade me... I know. It's just that... I was bothered more by how they were clinging on you and how freely they were... touching you. I know you became friendly with them and showed you enjoyed it just for getting information but... I don't like the idea of other women touching you." Now she was angry with herself; her eyes were focused on a button of his shirt her fingers were playing with. "Damn you! How did you turn me to such a..."

"Jealous kitten?" He gave her the answer she could not find and immediately leaned forward and started licking her lips excruciatingly slowly. He gently laid her back on the pillows and without stopping, pushed upwards her nightgown enough to allow him to pull down her futuristic underwear.

"However... I had every intention to let it slide, despite how challengingly you looked at me, but the thing they said! How could you lie like that? Tell them I rejected you?" She managed to say when he allowed her to take a breath and lightly punched him on the chest that shook by laughter.

"Oh, but I did not lie. I was indeed rejected by a beauty, but it was not you... that was their own assumption." He chuckled really amused by how Selina's eyes turned back to the angry blue fire he so loved.

"Oh really? So there was another beauty! And how did she look like, if I may?" Selina growled wrapping her fingers around his throat, looking at him threateningly.

"Oh, she had very lush, silky hair of a very beautiful brown orange colour. Her cute face was white, as well as her neck and chest and... aww, her white paws, so lovely!" He said with such a dreamy look on his face.

All the while, Selina was feeling like an overloaded steam machine right before it explodes but then she heard the key word. "Wait. What? White paws?"

Sebastian nodded. "They were unbearably cute and soft. I invited her for dinner at the carriage where I had stored some salmon, but she took the salmon and left immediately... I was so heartbroken!" His face was indeed that of a heartbroken man... but in an extreme level that actually made him look so cute and funny.

Mirth made Selina's eyes sparkle as she was trying to resist but in vain... she suddenly threw her head back on the pillows and burst out laughing loudly and so hard. "You were re-re-rejected by a cat and they thought you meant a-a-a woman? Ha ha ha ha! And you go around London carrying... salmon with you?" She was trying to say between laughs, she could not contain herself. "Oh my love, you never cease to amaze me! Se-Sebastian!" She ended up moaning as Sebastian made a sudden attack on her throat as if he wanted to devour it through kissing, nibbling and tasting.

"I love feeling your heartbeat and every sound you make echoing in your throat. I find it so unbelievably erotic... I cannot hold back." The demon said as he continued ravaging the woman's sensitive skin; his left hand slipping between her thighs making her moan louder. "Do you still want to amputate the hand with the contract seal on?" He whispered on her skin smiling.

Selina felt all strength leaving her body, as for a while she could not and did not want to move at all, she only managed to spread her legs more, giving the man better access, and then do some feeble tries in pushing down his shirt. Sebastian seemed to not get tired of her throat and the surrounding area of her neckline, ears, jaw and chin until she asked him to kiss her. That seemed to return part of her strength as she felt the absolute need of touching him; one hand wondered all over his abdomen, chest and finally managing to get rid of the shirt enough to reveal his back to her greedy hand and fingers. Her other hand, however, slipped inside the trousers making him groan and his whole body shiver at her touch. But in a few minutes they paused, since touching each other did not feel enough anymore, they got rid of the rest of their clothes and fell in each other's arms anew with so much fire and passion.

After quite some time they were lying side by side embraced and enjoying the sweet numbness climaxing brought them; it was still something completely new to the demon but he liked this feeling as much as he liked the magical human that caused it. His fingers were busy playing with Selina's hair or tracing random shapes on her skin; he really enjoyed the silky feeling of her hair, as well as the light shiver running through her body at his touch.

"Hey, did you actually sense anything about Blavat before I tell you about it?" Selina asked pulling the demon out of his daydreaming.

"Mm? Oh! Not really. I do not know if it is because of how weak his magic is, as you said, or because he masks it exceptionally well. What do you think about him anyway?" He said staring with interest at the still flushed and sweaty face of his witch.

"Hmm..." She absentmindedly wiped her throat and chest with her hand. "As I see it, he is either a grey soul with no magic but a small sensitivity towards supernatural, or a really weak natural born witch but with enough power to be able to identify total non-humans and make some general predictions." She answered with a serious face.

"I do not believe he is a real witch... His so-called readings are based on deductions by observing the person in front of him." Sebastian said seriously.

"That might be the case for other readings, but yours... You were so humane, friendly and cheerful at the moment, so how could he deduct that you are not human and similar to a collapsar?" She seemed somehow worried that some stranger knew her demon's secret.

Sebastian saw that and pulled her deeper in his embrace. "I have no idea, but you do not have to worry, my dearest. I do not think he is powerful enough to hurt this collapsar before I devour his star, if I have to." He said mockingly as he found quite ridiculous the simile... perhaps because it was quite spot on and accurate. Selina murmured something as her face was buried in the marble-like chest of the man she loved so much. "I beg your pardon? I did not really hear what you said, my kitten."

"I said that I don't care how he warned young master and me to stay away from this collapsar or else we would be devoured by it... but I don't care! I love my collapsar! And don't call me kitten so casually!" She finished with a very serious look on her face, under furrowed eyebrows, that made her look more like... a kitten.

Sebastian remained silent but Selina did not need any words, just staring in his burning eyes that had taken a peaceful, sweet look… similar to yet stronger from the one Selina had seen when he played with cats! He caressed her cheek and hair, bringing one lock to his lips to kiss it so gently and that was more than a thousand words for Selina.

"Blavat is a fool, at least where it concerns this little, bright star… the collapsar would never devour it! It is too precious… not like any other star!" His eyes told her and the butterflies residing in her stomach and chest ever since she admitted her feelings to herself fluttered once again.

She smiled at him happily, her cheeks blushing, and tightened her embrace too. Sebastian stretched his hand a little to grab the covers lying at the bottom of the bed and pulled them to cover their naked bodies and offer a warm sleep to his precious magical mate. Selina soon fell asleep and Sebastian stayed there, perfectly content feeling the woman's breath landing on his chest.

Sebastian getting rejected by the cat... easily one of my favorite scenes in all the series! 😂 😂

About Blavat: His addition in the plot intrigues me very much and since we have no explanation on whether he is just a charlatan under Undertaker's order (who would have probably described Ciel and Sebastian to him, in order to recognize him so easily), I thought of trying to explain his presence in terms of the witch lore I added. What do you think about that? How does it look and how much will that affect the rest of the story?

Boy bands: To be honest, I never spent much thought on boy bands and how they function, but after considering the course of some famous boy bands and the random scenes I had watched from the only Greek reality show about forming a girl band (Spice Girls in 2000's Greece, quite literally)... I came up with this theory. No idea if anyone has thought or analyzed this topic, whether my assumptions are correct and, of course, I have nothing against boy bands or the people enjoying them (been there done that).

Now, QUESTION!

I'll probably go for a surgery in two or three weeks. It's a routine surgery, but my disability complicates things and... to be honest, it scares the shit out of me, but I must have the surgery. Comforting Darkness has about 23 chapters still. So my question to all of you, is... Do you want me to keep posting on a weekly basis, even if I go to hiatus for some weeks, in the best case senario (in the worse... you'll never hear or read of me, although I'll beg my best friend to post the rest of the story, at least). Or do you want me to post the rest of the chapters daily and finish the story before going for my surgery?

Please, please, dear people, tell me what you prefer and I'll do so. I'm probably overeacting and scare myself to a ridiculous level for no reason, but... ️I can't help it... 😔

Thank you all! You are the best! Till next time! Bye! 😊
