April 13th 1920
Jack went downstairs around 6.45 to find Rose sat at the breakfast bar. "You're up early?" He frowned, confused. "Cal is back from his business trip today… meaning he'll find out me and the girls are gone. I know it's unlikely he'll find us here, but that isn't stopping me from worrying" she chuckled nervously, trying to lighten the mood.
He sat down at the chair beside her "want me to stay with you today?" He asked, moving some hair from her face "no, no it's OK. You need to work. I'll go to the inn and see if Lucy is free, maybe take my mind off it for a while. Would you maybe meet me there when you finish work and we can walk home together?" She asked "of course I will" he nodded "thank you" she sighed a little.
They sat talking for around 20 minutes, Jack trying to calm her nerves. "You best get to work" she sighed, he nodded in response and stood up, he kissed her head "I'll try and finish early and come and get you, but it'll be no later than 4.15, I promise" "thank you" she stroked his cheek "have a nice day" she continued and watched as he grabbed his portfolio from the table before heading out.

HOCKLEY MANSION
Cal walked through the front door, his manservant following behind with his bags. He was met by Mrs Lucas, Elizabeth and Ruth. "Mrs Lucas, I'll have breakfast please" he said, almost an order. He turned to Elizabeth "where is my wife Elizabeth?" He asked "she's erm- she's not here, Sir" Elizabeth said nervously "what do you mean 'she's not here'? Where is she?" Cal frowned confused "Cal, we need to talk" Ruth said. Cal nodded and walked in to his study followed by Ruth "I ask again, where is Rose?" "She's gone…" "gone where?" Cal responded, still confused "she took Matilda and Sophia to the park the day after you left for your business trip and she didn't return. We've searched high and low, we can't find her anywhere" "you mean to tell me that my wife left this house 10 days ago, she hasn't returned since and no one thought it appropriate to contact me to inform me of this information?" Cal asked angrily "no one wanted to bother you, Cal, we knew how important this trip was" Ruth said "well I believe it's going to be more important to get my wife and children home, immediately. How in God's name do I explain to my business associates where my wife and daughters have disappeared to?!" He said "tell Barclay to get a private investigator on the phone immediately" he snapped "yes Cal" Ruth said sheepishly and left the room.
Barclay was stood outside the study "Mr Hockley has asked that you contact a private investigator to try and locate my daughter and her children" she said nervously "yes Miss" he nodded in response and walked away.

Later that day, Cal and Ruth were once again in the study with the private investigator- James, and Cal's manservant, Barclay.
"It's a tough one, Mr Hockley. I have a team checking Philadelphia as we speak, but if she isn't here, then we need an idea of where to look. Does your wife have any connections elsewhere?" He asked "No… not that I know of. Where was that gutter rat from, Ruth? Maybe she's gone there to 'feel closer to him' or some rubbish like that?" Cal rolled his eyes "I don't know…" Ruth lied. She knew exactly where Jack was from, but if Rose really had chosen to run away, then she believed she should respect that. She would never forgive her daughter for running away, but she understood why she had. "Who's this 'gutter rat'? James asked "oh some man Rose befriended on the Titanic, Jack Dawson" Cal rolled his eyes again "OK… we can look in to that" James nodded…
