It is time for the seventh chapter. I am on a roll here, even on a story I kept waiting for so long. Now, with the mercenaries finally on their, it is now time for the two paths to cross. What is this going to spell for our group? What will happen to them? Find out here!

Aztec 13: I love the ideas you bring to the table, dude. Some of these I may use here if you mind.

Just imagine your own redesigns for the characters from the chapter onward. I'm too lazy to think of them

5 Days Later…

We currently see Gwen working inside the Paradise Lounge and tending to a couple of customers. The customers in question were her friends from the first generation of contestants and some of her close friends that happened to stop by and hang out. These were Leshawna, Trent, Harold, Geoff, Bridgette and Brody.

"Glad to see you doing well for yourself, girl." Leshawna smiled. "To be honest, I never thought the first week would go smoothly."

"I know. And we already have our mutant situation being dealt with." Gwen stated. "How'd you guys feel after we found out about the third mutant?"

"Pretty relieved, honestly." Trent stated. "But even if I were a mutant, I'd still be glad that the rest of us would continue living normally."

"Whoa. That's deep." Brody stated in awe.

"I'm glad you guys weren't that unlucky." Gwen stated.

"But that doesn't change the fact that you also got the short end of the stick." Bridgette stated. "I hope your training is going well."

"Yeah, it's going well." Gwen says as she lays a drink on the counter. "Which one wanted to order the Long Island?"

"Oh, I believe that's me." Geoff says as he grabs the drink. "How much is this?"

"Around thirty-seven dollars." Gwen stated. "That reminds me, what kind of jobs do you guys have?"

"Glad you asked, homegirl. Harold and I recently got into retail." Leshawna stated. "Trent's giving out guitar lessons for a price, and Geoff and DJ work together as chefs of a restaurant."

"It's a good seafood place. You should definitely try it, brah." Geoff stated.

"Wow, that's great. I'll think about it some time." Gwen smiled at this. "I remember Courtney going to a local library to get a grasp on the legal system. If she at least gets an internship at a law firm, we're basically stable for the days to come."

"If she doesn't brag about it, at least, that's for sure." Bridgette cracked a joke.

The others laughed at the joke before focusing on their drinks. Despite this, Gwen had begun to feel that she couldn't get rid of the feeling of irritation in her mind.

She reaches into her pocket, and takes a look at the bloodied pencil once again. Despite a week already passing by, she hasn't gotten the chance to throw this thing away and leave the incident associated with it in the past. It was irritating her because of it, along with the fact that she couldn't get her mind off that incident many years ago.

"...hey, Leshawna?" Gwen slowly called out.

"Yes? What is it?" Leshawna turned her head.

"...enjoy your drink." Gwen lets out a weak smile to her friend.

Chapter 7: The Worst Kind Of Attention

Emma opens the door to their apartment while carrying a large handheld bag of something. But she was surprised to see Kitty and Junior about to head out of the apartment.

"Hey, what do you have there?" Kitty asked.

"Oh, I went to the library Courtney suggested. Decided to take a look at some of the books there and decided to bring some home." Emma explained. "I might have to stay up late in order to get a grasp of the law around here."

"Wow. Quite a commitment there." Junior stated. "Are you sure you're up to the task?"

"I've done this before we even met at the race. Why not again?" Emma stated. "And what are you two gonna do?"

"Find a tree for the memorial." Kitty stated. "I'm gonna see if I can tag Carrie along to find one. Let the others know what we're doing."

"Don't worry, I'll make sure of that." Emma sighed as she entered the apartment.

But before the two can leave the apartment, Kitty gets a sense of worry from the response given to her by her sister. She turns back and approaches Emma as she was about to sit down on the couch.

"Is something wrong?" Kitty asked.

"I guess. I just have to be ready for the mass amounts of studying I'm gonna be doing." Emma sighed.

"You're overburdening yourself again, right?" Kitty asked as she sat down next to her sister.

This gave her a confused look from Emma, which caused her to smile a bit.

"Looks like I struck something, am I right?" Kitty asked.

"What are you on about?" Emma raised an eyebrow at this.

"I mean, with you training your abilities for the past week, as well as helping the rest of us get our own jobs, I expected you to take a rest for the weekend." Kitty says. "I know you want to help the rest of the group, but you seem to be stressing yourself out in the process."

Emma just frowned at this as she began perusing through one of the books she borrowed.

"Listen, I know you're willing to help, but didn't you say you're gonna clear your thoughts?" Kitty says. "I don't think it's healthy for you to ignore your stress like this. Don't you think you've had enough for a while?"

"Hmm… you're right. I may have felt the need to be the one responsible in all this." Emma sighs. "Maybe let's do something tomorrow with Noah. I can't let these books go to waste after all."

"Alright, fine. Maybe we can visit the others from the race tomorrow. It's been a while since we've seen them." Kitty smiled at the response.

"Okay. Have fun finding a tree." Emma waved goodbye.

"We will." Junior says as the two leave the apartment.

We see Gwen currently wiping the counters after the visiting group had left the Paradise Lounge. While this was happening, Rampart sticks her head out of her workshop.

"Hey, Gwenny, have you seen my toolbox?" Rampart asked.

"I remember seeing you putting it behind the counter. Maybe you can check there." Gwen stated before continuing her work.

Rampart walks behind the counter and searches the area. She quickly finds it and takes it out.

"Ah, thanks. 'Bout to start working on a project." Rampart stated.

"Mind telling me what that project will be about?" Gwen raised an eyebrow at this.

"Just relax if you're thinking what I think you're thinking. Ain't gonna be used anywhere else other than the Games." Rampart nonchalantly said as she went back to her workshop.

"Of course." Gwen rolled her eyes at this. "You said you needed a hand in the workshop, right?"

"Don't bother, you already got enough on your hands working in the bar. I doubt you need to trouble yourself with my line of work to live well." Rampart stated.

"I'm not talking about myself. I think I got someone who may need it." Gwen says as she turns towards the entrance of the bar.

Gwen smiled to see another group visiting the bar, consisting of Cameron, Zoey and Mike.

"Hey. Glad you're here." Gwen smiled.

"They really have a weapons workshop in the back of this place?" Mike asked in confusion.

"Yeah, I guess so." Cameron stated. "Hello, Gwen. Glad you're doing well."

"Thanks. And I see you're still going strong." Gwen smiled.

"Yeah. This past week has been pretty hectic." Zoey stated. "Glad to see you doing well despite your… condition."

"It's being worked on, but I'm glad you're happy." Gwen says. "Ramya, I've got something for you."

"So, which one of ya plonkers are gonna help me in the workshop?" Rampart approached the group.

"I believe that would be me." Cameron raised his hand.

"Well, looks like you're in luck, kid." Rampart shrugged. "Want to take a look at the place?"

"I guess so. I'm interested in the technology you might possess." Cameron stated.

"Ah, great minds think alike, huh?" Rampart smirked at the enthusiasm. "Come on. To the back."

Cameron follows Rampart to the workshop while the others watch. After not seeing each other in a while, Gwen decided to initiate conversation.

"So. Good to see you guys alright." Gwen stated. "What are the updates on your side?"

"So get this. We decided to join Brick and Jo for a fitness center." Mike explained.

"Wow, really? What are your offers?" Gwen asked.

"Brick and Jo focus on more physical regiments. Mike works on acrobatics while I do archery." Zoey explained.

"That's great." Gwen smiled. "Come on, sit down. I can get you guys some drinks while we talk."

"We'd love to, thanks." Mike smiled.

We currently see Kitty and Junior currently searching around for a tree that isn't anywhere with high foot traffic. They knew that if they found somewhere that did, the memorial wouldn't last long.

"What do you think you want to put on the memorial?" Junior bluntly asked.

"I don't know exactly. But I feel that is something that doesn't need planning..

"I don't know exactly." Kitty answered. "But I don't really think it needs to be anything spectacular. It's the thought that counts, right?"

"Yeah, I guess so." Junior stated.

"Well… I guess I have one idea of what I want." Kitty then went into thought. "I'm guessing yellow roses."

"Yellow roses, huh? I know red roses mean true romance, but what's the meaning behind yellow roses?" Junior asked about this particular topic.

"I believe it symbolizes friendship and bonds. Very fitting, too. I mean, we're all working our asses off just to help each other survive, right?" Kitty explained.

"Yeah... I guess so." Junior smiled at the thought. "The others might like that. The struggle may be worth it to see our closest friends strive through something like this."

"I'd like to see a future where that may happen, y'know?" Kitty lets out a smile. "I would love it to see us sticking together and building a future for ourselves despite the terrible event that brought us here."

"That would be nice. I didn't know you were compassionate enough to dream of something like that." Junior commented.

"Why else would I help look for a tree for the memorial? This will help bring some closure to those who're still pained by their losses." Kitty stated.

"Closure would be nice. Both Dad and I never had a chance to properly say goodbye to Mom, and I bet she was a wreck trying to find out where we were." Junior frowned. "Who knows how many people were shaken by our disappearance. I just hope we can feel at peace after leaving them just like that."

"We will. I'll make sure of that." Kitty smiled.

As the two continued to walk, they somehow managed to cross paths with Carrie and Devin, who was just walking home with a bag of groceries.

"Hey guys. Nice seeing you here." Carrie greeted the two. "What are you guys up to?"

"We're looking for a tree to use for a memorial of our past. We think it may be able to give the others closure for their loss." Kitty explained.

"Wow. That's surprisingly thoughtful." Devin commented on the idea. "Have any luck with that?"

"No, we need to find a tree that isn't in highly crowded areas." Junior stated. "Think you guys have anything to help us?"

"I'm not sure about the locations, but we are planning to go out again tonight." Devin stated.

"Really? What are you guys gonna do?" Kitty asked.

"We decided to just go on a walk with the others to explore the city. We think this may keep the others' minds off the situation. We may have a bit of fun along the way." Carrie stated.

"Quite the plan there. Think you guys have room for two more?" Junior stated. "We may be able to find a good selection of trees along the way."

"Yeah, I also want to talk to the other people from the race. It's been a while since I saw them." Kitty agrees to the statement.

"Go right ahead. Just wait while we get these groceries back to our apartment." Devin stated as the group began to walk towards the apartment.

Later That Night…

We currently see Gwen resting inside the Paradise Lounge. There were no more customers at the moment, and Cameron's group had already left after a debriefing of Rampart's workshop. Seeing that she has free time at the moment, she decides to take a breather.

"I'll just be outside for a moment. Need to take a breath of fresh air." Gwen told Mirage who was currently wiping one of the counters.

"Of course. Take as long as you need." Mirage stated.

"Thanks." Gwen says as she walks out of the bar.

Gwen took a rest at the front of the Paradise Lounge, and pulled out the bloodied pencil once again. Maybe it was time. Enough days had already passed, and she needed to stop herself from focusing on that event.

She turns to find a small trash can next to her. Feeling that this may be a good time, Gwen holds the pencil above the trash can, ready to dispose of it.

"Hey, Gwen. Mind if I have some coffee?" Emma was seen approaching the bar.

"Oh, hey. Yeah, come on in." Gwen says as she unknowingly puts the pencil back into her pocket.

Gwen leads Emma into the Paradise Lounge, where the latter sits on the counter.

"Just a regular latte to go. I have a bunch of books I'm gonna spend the night reading." Emma says.

"Wow. Someone's determined." Gwen says as she begins to prepare a coffee cup "So, how's the training doing for you?"

"Well, I guess it's working. I can't really say for sure how much I've improved with my abilities, but I guess it's working." Emma shrugged at the question.

As this was said, a flash of pale blue appeared within the bar, and Wraith appeared from the flash. Right now, she is currently walking towards Mirage.

"Have you heard of what happened at Hammond?" Wraith asked Mirage before being interrupted.

"Gah!" Emma was startled by this sudden appearance.

The sudden appearance of Wraith caused Emma to accidentally fire a lightning bolt at the voidwalker. Luckily, she managed to react just in time to hop into the void, avoiding the electricity blast altogether.

"Whoa! I didn't expect her to appear so suddenly." Emma exclaimed.

"Yeah, it's just kinda her thing." Mirage shrugged.

Wraith pops out of the void once again on a chair on the counter. She was seen sightly annoyed by this incident.

"Of course, I should've expected this coming." Wraith says. "I'm sorry if I startled you."

"Oh… I believe I should be the one to apologize." Emma stated.

"Wait a minute. How come you also shot lightning bolts?" Mirage asked. "I also remember some time last week where you stopped Ash from slicing you with her sword, Gwen."

This question got the two girls nervous, and they went silent in order to stop Mirage from pressing on. Luckily, Wraith realized what was going on, and quickly glared at Mirage in order to stop him.

"Alright, alright. I won't press any further." Mirage puts his hands up defensively. "Anyway, what is it you were gonna tell me?"

"Something happened with the others. I heard they raided a Hammond Robotics lab." Wraith explained her situation to Mirage.

"Hold on. Moving too fast here." Mirage stated. "Does this have something to do with the new chassis Revenant got?"

"I don't know, but it looks like we have to go there to see for ourselves." Wraith says as she placed a void portal in the middle of the room, which caught the interest of the other two.

"What's that I hear about a Hammond raid?" Rampart asked as she stuck her head out of her workshop.

"Exactly as is said. Now come on." Wraith says.

"Oh, well. Not much foot traffic in this area after this hour." Mirage shrugged. "After you serve your friend here, feel free to close up."

"Well, I ought to get a good look at that robot bastard's new chassis up close." Rampart stretched her arms as the two approached the portal.

"Wait, where are you guys going?" Gwen asked.

"Nothing that concerns you, fortunately. Don't worry. Just close down the bar once you two are done." Mirage says.

The three enter the void portal as they leave the scene, leaving Gwen and Emma very confused. The two look at each other, trying to understand what happened.

It was currently an hour after dark, and Carrie had already gathered a significant amount of people for the nightly walk around the city. Along with Devin, Kitty and Junior, the group consisted of Brody, Sky, Dave, Beardo, Mike, Zoey, Lightning, Jo and Eva.

"So, mind telling me the luck you guys have with that tree hunting I heard?" Jo asked.

"Eh… we've got some contenders, but I'm not really sure most of them are gonna work out." Kitty says. "If you guys want, you can hand us some suggestions."

"We'll let you guys know if we find something." Mike says. "But now's a night for everyone to calm down. Let's see if we can get some drinks at the Paradise Lounge."

"Yeah, I think it's this way." Junior says as the group enters a small pathway through the buildings.

As the group walked through the small and empty walkway, a slight metal noise was heard nearby. Kitty was the one who seemed to notice due to being at the back of the group, and turned to figure out what it was.

"Huh?" Kitty began to look around. "Hmm. Weird."

Shrugging off this strange feeling, Kitty continues to walk with the group. Though she fails to notice a shadowy figure within one of the nearby alleyways, she doesn't hesitate to keep her guard up.

"Hey guys, I have a thought." Brody spoke out.

"And that is?" Devin asked.

"Do you guys notice that there aren't many meat eaters served in restaurants?" Brody asked the group.

"Where is this going, dude?" Dave shot a look at the guy.

"Just hear me out. Do you guys think it's weird that meat eaters aren't on any menus? Like lions, vultures, wolves and dogs." Brody asked intently.

Another sound was heard, this time, something brushing against concrete. Kitty takes another look at the surrounding area, now realizing something was wrong.

"I think it's illegal to hunt and cook lions." Devin stated.

"Yeah, and I guess it's rare to find vultures and wolves being served." Junior stated.

"Besides, I wouldn't even want to stomach the idea of eating a dog, even if a culinary master says it's good." Carrie stated.

"I remember one of my apartment mates from back then tried to cook meat from a bear, and it both tasted and smelled horrible." Brody explains his case.

"Was it even fresh? What even warrants cooking a bear properly?" Sky asked.

"Hey, wait. I think he has a point. Have you guys eaten or even heard of sweetfish before?" Mike asked.

"Hold on, fish can taste sweet?" Lightning asked.

"It's a kind of fish that lives off algae." Dave stated.

"Normally, most fish intestines are bitter, but sweetfish intestines on the other hand taste pretty good compared to the rest." Mike explains.

"Case in point, dudes. Meat eaters taste like barf." Brody says.

"I don't know, I've eaten shark meat in some Japanese places before. And they taste pretty good if you ask me." Eva shrugged.

Then a metal clang sound reaches Kitty's ears once again. She peeks into an adjacent alleyway to see both a trash can lid rolling on the ground, and the trash can itself slightly shaking as if something had bumped into it.

"Guys, do you think we should hurry up a bit?" Kitty asked while not letting her sight leave the alleyway. "I don't think I really like this neighborhood."

"What makes you think that?" Carrie asked as she tried to get a look into the alleyway.

Suddenly, a figure appeared from behind the objects inside the alleyway and began to charge at the group at surprising sees.

"Nevermind! I think we have to get out of here right now!" Kitty yelled out as she turned to her friend.

Kitty immediately shoves Carrie out of the way as the unknown figure does a flying kick. The attack narrowly dodges, but the figure didn't give the group enough time to react as they launch off a nearby wall towards Kitty.

"Oh no!" Kitty yelped.

The figure does a roundhouse at the girl, who tries to block with her arms. Unfortunately, the sheer force of the kick causes Kitty to stagger onto the ground, and causes her forearm to snap.

"Gah! Ah… shit!" Kitty yelped in pain.

"Oh no!" Carrie gasped at the sight.

"Kitty!" Devin yelled out.

As the others try to figure out what was going on, they take a good look at the figure that had attacked Kitty. It was a slender man seemingly of Russian descent with combed brown hair and a black suit/outfit that helped him be covered in the darkness.

"Who the fuck is this guy?!" Jo exclaimed.

"Alright. You want some of this, asshole?" Lightning threatened the attacker.

"Guys, get out of here. We're gonna handle this guy." Eva says as she assumes a fighting stance.

"But what about Kitty?!" Brody asked.

"Don't worry about me… just get out of here!" Kitty yelled out through strained breaths. "The Paradise Lounge is… only a couple blocks from here. Call Gwen and the others!"

"But your arm's broken! We have to get you out of here!" Carrie yelled.

The strange man turned to the others before assuming a fighting stance as well. Knowing that things might get ugly if they all stay in the same place as the attacker, Devin and Carrie's resolve bolstered with focus.

"Guys, we better call Gwen and Emma for this. This guy is too dangerous if he can break an arm with a single kick." Devin says.

"I trust you guys can handle this guy?" Carrie asked the fighters of the group.

"We can try, but even the Lightning's impressed by this guy's strength." Lightning stated.

"Just get out of here. We're gonna stall for time." Eva told the others. "We'll try and get Kitty away as well, but that isn't a guarantee."

"Let's go, dudes! I know where the bar is!" Brody led the others away from the walkway.

The group began to sprint out of the fight towards help, but the man quickly made a move on this. He quickly evaded the fighters to focus on Brody who took charge of leading the escape.

"Get away!" Sky intercepted this attack.

Sky blocks the incoming attack with her elbow, and follows up with a head bash to stagger the attacker.

"There, he's stunned!" Sky yelled out.

But the man quickly recovers from the blow and kicks Sky in the side, causing her to crash into Dave and Beardo.

"Agk!" Sky coughed some blood from her mouth due to the damage she has sustained.

"Oh no!" Mike exclaimed.

Zoey immediately rushes to the injured to get them away from the danger, but the man goes to intercept them and attack.

"Grrah!" Zoey uses a significant amount of force to parry the attack.

"Hah!" Mike ran up behind her.

Mike lands a downward kick on the man's face. Seeing another opportunity, the two land powerful kicks onto the man's chest, sending him staggering backwards once again.

"Come on, we have to get you out of here." Zoey says as she wraps Sky's arm around her.

Seeing this, the man reacts quickly, and strikes the girl away from the injured.

"Gah!" Zoey yelped.

"Zoey!" Mike yelled out as he caught her.

The two look at the man, who begins to stare them down. But some reason, he wasn't going into the offensive this time.

"Hah!" Lightning was seen flying at the man with a kick.

The man effortlessly dodges to the side, leaving him face to face with Lightning. Jo and Eva were also seen moving to the side in order to surround him.

"Hey, guys, come on." Brody issued the two to run with him.

"Don't worry, wimps. We're gonna stall this son of a bitch for time." Jo cracked her knuckles as she prepared for a fight.

"Alright. Take care, guys." Mike nodded to this.

As the group began to run out of the walkway for help, Kitty noticed a surprising detail. Their attacker looked around at the opposition around him, unfazed by the fact that the others were heading towards the Paradise Lounge.

"What the…" Kitty looks around the area, trying to look for something that might give her a sense of what is going on.

That's when she saw it. Up on top of one of the roofs was someone she recognised. It was Gus, one of the mercenaries that led an attack on Blisk's base back on Earth, and he was intently watching the situation from above.

"Oh no… no… that couldn't be." Kitty worried about this new revelation.

Kitty turns to the group that was escaping the scene, before turning back to Gus on the roof. It seems like he was taking note of this fact, but he was actively choosing to let it slide.

"Wait… no. Oh no…" Kitty was hit with a daunting realization.

We then see Gwen closing down the Paradise Lounge. She had already finished giving Emma a latte, and was ready to get this day over with.

"Well, that was quite the week." Gwen sighed. "At least I'll have my day off tomorrow."

"Tomorrow's the weekend, right?" Emma asked.

"Yep. And I'll have the time to explore this city with the others." Gwen stated. "But, I'm off to bed. See ya. And good luck with your studies."

"Thanks." Emma smiled at this.

But before the two had the chance to part ways, the escaping group had managed to arrive on time, panting very heavily due to their hurry.

"Wow. You guys seem like you're having fun." Gwen commented.

"Nevermind that, dudette… We were attacked." Brody says through strained breaths.

"Whoa. Attacked? What's going on?" Emma asked as the two began to get worried.

"We were out on a walk through the city. Then someone came out of nowhere and attacked us." Devin explained the situation to the two. "We already have a couple people down."

"Jo, Lightning and Eva stayed back to hold him back, and we went to get your help." Zoey explained.

The two gasp at the sudden turn of the situation. Then Emma noticed Junior among the group. The last time she saw him was when he and Kitty went out to find a tree for the memorial.

"Junior? Where's Kitty? I thought she was with you." Emma asked nervously.

"...she… she was the first one attacked." Junior says. "She managed to save Carrie from being attacked, but this caused her to get hit instead. There was even the sound of a bone breaking when the kick connected."

That last sentence changed Emma's expression from a slight worry to a state of shock and worry for her sister. She knows that it was only a matter of time before anything went wrong back there.

"Tell me where this place is. Now." Emma demanded an answer from the others.

"Somewhere near a pawn shop a couple blocks that way, you can't miss it." Brody pointed towards a direction down the street.

"And how many are injured?" Gwen asked.

"Just four, but I'm afraid that number will rise even with those three holding him off." Zoey says. "That fucker's just too damn strong."

"Then we're gonna need more people. And I think you guys are shaken enough as it is." Gwen says. "We'll head on first. One of you better call the others up in our apartment. We need to move the injured while we deal with this son of a bitch."

"Let's go." Emma says.

The two sprint away from the scene, rushing as fast as they can towards the scene of the attack.

The scene switches back to the fight in the walkway, where Lightning and Jo are already down for the count. The only one left standing was Eva, seemingly equal in strength and fighting ability as the man that attacked them.

The two were currently locked in a standoff, waiting for the other to make a move and intercept.

"Mind telling me what your business is with us?" Eva asked the guy.

The man just kept his eyes on the bodybuilder, not intending to spark a conversation while completing his vague objective.

"Ngghh. Come on, protein brain. It's obvious we can't fight this guy." Jo groaned as she tried to get up. "We have to get the others out of here while she's taking this guy on."

"Agh… the Lightning's trying, fool." Lightning groaned.

Hearing a single part of this interaction behind him, the man turns around and does a single kick at the two, knocking them out.

"Ngghh… no." Kitty groaned as this played out.

"Alright, you asked for this, asshole." Eva gritted her teeth at this.

The two begin to exchange blows with each other, trying to get the other to buckle in this battle of attrition.

"Hah!"

Suddenly, Gwen comes out of nowhere with a trash can from an alleyway and swings to hit the man. The man dodges to the back, but even with this, the speed and force of the swing almost grazes his face.

The man takes another step back as Gwen prepares for another swing.

"Take this, asshole!" Gwen yelled out as she spun the trash can around her.

Gwen swung the trash can with so much force that it basically flew down the walkway. The man was caught off guard by this, but manages to dodge to the side. He then looks in front of him, seeing Gwen already assuming a fight stance while Emma was drawing electricity from a nearby outlet.

"Guys!" Kitty yelled out to the others.

"Kitty, are you okay?!" Emma yelled out.

"I am… but agh… he got me good." Kitty says.

"Listen, I'll take this guy first. Your sister will need to draw energy slowly to avoid any electrical systems nearby from breaking." Gwen says.

"Ngggh… alright." Kitty groaned.

Gwen then directs her attention to the man in front of her. Suddenly, she feels something brewing inside her. It felt familiar to the irritation she was feeling the entire week, but only now, it felt like it was about to burst.

Her mind then flashes to a gruesome scene. The only thing that was playing in her mind was a scene of a man kicking and beating the shit out of a young boy, a sight that only fuelled her anger.

"I don't know what the fuck you're up to, but I'll put a stop to it now." Gwen gritted her teeth as she felt overwhelmingly furious.

Right now, there was only one thing in her mind that mattered. And that thing was taking down the robber that broke into her house and… wait… she wasn't thinking about the fight at the moment. She was thinking of that fateful day, the only other day where she felt this amount of overwhelming anger many years ago.

And that was chapter 7, the chapter I have left off with the original Second Chances. I don't really have anything to say for the ending of this chapter, so stay tuned for the next chapter which I promise to upload and not leave for months.
