The following day, excitement fills the air as Harry and other Ravenclaws gather on the Quidditch pitch for the selection process of the house team. Harry, in particular, feels a strong desire to honor his father's memory by becoming a part of the Quidditch team. With his family's support and his determination, he is ready to give it his all.
Harry: (whispering to himself) "I'll make you proud, Dad."
The Ravenclaw team captain, Roger Davis, has everyone assemble near the stands. He explains the selection process for various positions on the Quidditch team and assigns the roles they will try out for. Harry, inspired by his father, initially aims for a chaser position, wanting to carry on the Potter legacy.
Roger: "Alright, everyone. Show us your skills!"
Harry displays remarkable agility as he plays the role of a chaser. His swift movements catch Roger's attention, who has something else in mind for him.
Roger: (approaching Harry) "Harry, you've got excellent agility. I think I'd like you to try out for the Seeker position."
Harry: (slightly surprised) "Seeker? Are you sure?"
Roger: "Absolutely. I've got a unique idea for the selection. I'm going to release ten Snitches one by one. Each of you will have a chance to play as a Seeker and catch as many Snitches as you can within a given time. The ones who catch the most will move on to the next round."
The selection begins, and ten students, including Harry, eagerly take to the skies. In the first round, a fifth-year Ravenclaw manages to catch two Snitches, while Terry Boot catches one. However, it is Cho Chang, a third-year, who impresses everyone by catching three Snitches. Harry outshines them all by catching an astonishing four Snitches.
The shortlisted students, including Cho Chang and Harry, move to the next round. This time, Roger increases the difficulty by releasing two Bludgers into the game. Despite the added challenge, Harry and Cho manage to catch one and two Snitches, respectively.
In the final round, Harry and Cho are the last contenders. As the game intensifies, Bludgers zoom around them, making the task even more daunting. With just a minute left, they both spot a Snitch hurtling toward the ground. Harry and Cho race to capture it, but Harry manages to secure it just before hitting the ground, while Cho crashes hard. She is quickly taken to the Hospital Wing.
Roger: (announcing the results) "Harry Potter wins the round by catching the highest number of Snitches. He's our new Seeker!"
The Ravenclaw students cheer for Harry's victory, and his friends, Daphne, Neville, Hermione, Draco, and Tracey, rush to congratulate him.
Daphne: (grinning) "Congratulations, Harry! You're the new Seeker!"
Neville: "Well done, mate!"
Hermione: "I knew you could do it!"
Draco: (nodding) "It was Impressive, Harry."
Tracey: "We're all so proud of you, Harry."
After celebrating with his friends, Harry has dinner and then retires to his dormitory in the Ravenclaw common room. Before going to bed, he uses the two-way mirror to update his family members on the exciting news.
Harry: (with a proud smile) "I made it, everyone. I'm the new Seeker for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. I hope you're as thrilled as I am."
Lily: (via the mirror) "Oh, Harry, we're over the moon for you! Your dad would be so proud."
Sirius: (grinning) "That's my godson! Well done, Harry!"
Remus: "Congratulations, Harry."
Marlene: (proudly) "I always knew you had it in you, Harry."
Lyall: "A Potter on the Quidditch field again. Your grandmother and I couldn't be happier."
Hope: "You've made us all proud, Harry. Keep up the good work."
Harry beams at the support from his family. He can't wait to take to the skies as a member of the team and feels that his father's legacy is one step closer to being honored.
