A.N. — This USJ underling faced off against a character whose birthday is just two days away. And he gives me a chance to atone for a mistake: I took a fun character yesterday and made the tone serious. So today, I will take a fight scene and (attempt to) make it funny.
287. Berserker (USJ villain)
Berserker wasn't subtle — he always attacked in a head-on manner. Consequences were an afterthought despite his token efforts at defense. Charging forward with helmeted head lowered and weapon brandished had served him well, so why change?
Watching his sword break on the hardened skin of a UA student finally made Berserker reconsider.
He was sure he looked like a gaping idiot, staring at the hilt of his snapped blade while the steadfast redhead flashed him a jagged grin. He didn't have to contemplate his utter failure long, though; the hero took pity on Berserker and swiftly knocked him out.
