Pain is all I felt when I woke up; it was everywhere my arms, my legs, hell, probably even my eyes. But the worst part, well, that was probably when I actually opened my eyes because when I did. I saw everything the rubble beneath my feet, the fire, the smell of cooked flesh. It was enough that I had to hold myself to stop from vomiting.

When the nausea was over, I began to actually look around. I was in some sort of crater with some nasty wounds. I looked over to my right and froze there, sitting not even six feet away from me. Sat an unconscious bald man, not any ordinary one you might see on the side of the street no I recognized this man and from what I recognized him from shook me to the core. I began to feel my body start to shake. If I'm here in this means that this place is authentic, and these people are too. "N-No this can't be real this can't be happening." I grabbed my head and forced my eyes closed woke up. I had to wake up from this nightmare.

I opened my eyes only to see that crater still beneath me and felt my world shake literally. I felt tremors from down here. I looked up and saw a helicopter flashing a light towards me. I had to cover my hand to actually see it, then I heard something else "What the hell." It was a deep voice coming from behind me. I turned and saw the now awake man staring at me and the helicopter. I was gonna say something, anything really, but I was interrupted by a loud voice booming from the aircraft. "Hey you two down there if your still Alive head towards the bridge you'll be safe there." I froze for maybe a second before I heard the noise of someone trying to run.

It was Cole, the bald conduit himself doing his best to run and get out of there. Probably heading towards the bridge, I did my best to follow behind him. I was a good bit slower than him since the wounds on my legs and arms felt like ice picks stabbing into my bones whenever I tried to run too fast. It was a minute or two after we had started on our way to the bridge when I heard the sound of someone calling from Cole's phone. I could barely make out his voice, but there was no denying that it was Zeke Dunbar on the other end of Cole's phone. It sounded like he was checking in on him to make sure he was still alive.

Right after I had heard the sound of Cole's phone hanging up, I saw the building in front of us. It looked like some kind of parking garage, but it looked like a nuke had hit it. Which wasn't too far off. I was yanked from my thoughts when I saw Cole jump onto a car that separated the ground from the parking garage. I watched as he jumped onto the back and then rushed off and onto the parking garage. I did my best to follow him, which mostly ended with me almost falling on my ass when I made the jump onto the car. When I made it onto the parking garage, I heard the sound of the hissing of live wires only to see Cole walk up to it and then hit by it. When he did, it looked as if his body absorbed it and wrapped around his arms hands, and then went inside his body.

"What the hell, I should be dead" I stopped technically; I should be dead as well I was caught in that blast somehow as well, but that didn't change the fact that I needed to get the hell out of here and on that bridge. I followed Cole around the corner only to be hit by a shockwave of an exploding car. I was sent skidding into a wall. I ignored the pain in my shoulder from the impact and followed Cole, watching as cars fell in front of him and exploded. I had to put my arm up to shield my face from the heat and sight of the fire.

"I-I don't think I can make that jump." That jump I'm talking about was right in front of me. I had to jump onto a concrete pipe, run down it, and jump onto another that led onto the next building, and well, I just don't think I would be able to do it now. When I saw Cole turn around, I realized this was the first time I had said anything to him. Most of the things I said were grunts and whimpers of pain, but now I was talking to him. He stared at me for a second before he put his hand out. "Take my hand it'll help with your balance and to make sure you don't chicken out and get both of us killed now let's go." He sounded like he was trying to be reassuring, but it just came out more like an exasperated growl. Still, I took the older man's hand nonetheless and jumped.

I had to admit that the first jump wasn't that bad, but the landing was absolutely terrible, and I thought running was awful. Well, right when I landed, I had almost fallen off the damn pipe because of the pain shooting through my leg. I hissed and clenched my feet as I held onto the older man's arm, kept running, and made the final jump onto the next pipe that led to the next building. When we made it, I let go, not wanting to hold onto his arm any longer than I had to. He noticed that I had let go and nodded, walking forward only to be struck with more electricity. I looked painful as hell, but I could literally see some of his wounds close up. Then I felt a nagging sensation on the back of my head like it was pulling me in a specific direction. I turned only to see a lot of neon lights. I hesitated before shooting my hand towards it and felt and watched as the neon left the sign and seep into my arms. It felt like running water had seeped into my arms and legs as they didn't feel as painful as before. Sure, they still hurt like hell, but I could probably run and jump a little easier, which was good because I had to run to catch up to Cole.

When I looked up from where I had been trying to catch up to Cole, I watched as he once again got struck by electric wires. Still, this time it was different. Instead of it just rolling off of him and then inside of him this time, I jumped off of him and onto some of the cars and electric lights in front of us. When the electricity struck, it must have lit the cars fuel tank on fire since right after it had been hit, it exploded, taking a good chunk of the wall out and making the floor underneath it fall out and land on its side, making a ramp of sorts down to the road below. I slid off the edge and down the concrete ramp towards the road. When I saw Cole run down, I followed once again since I had no clue where I would go if I hadn't decided to follow him. I was blasted by a searchlight once again and watched as the same helicopter from earlier flew overhead. "If you're able to walk, please evacuate across the bridge and to the neon district. Emergency personnel are en route."

After hearing this, I did my best to speed up across the road and towards several police cars with officers around. I watched as Cole stopped in front of me; I didn't know why until I heard it. "COLE OVER HERE MAN, WE GOTTA GO!" Zeke was motioning towards both of us. Well more towards Cole, but it was in my general direction. Cole had just made it onto the bridge when he was struck by two strands of electricity. His body seemed to convulse before he brought his arms down. "No,No." And then I saw it flashes of lightning hitting the bridge and the officers around me. I had started to run as soon as the first strike hit, and so did Cole. While running for my life, I heard Zeke shouting about how the terrorist attacked the bridge again. We had made it about three-quarters across the bridge before Cole's lightning started striking again. When it did, I ran as fast as I could; I had just made it to the end of the bridge when a white flash went around me. Then I felt white-hot pain flash across my body before I fell, hitting the ground unconscious.
