"Actually, do you have a towel? I would like to dry my hair."

Without saying anything, Wriothesley gave her a polite smile and showed her the stairs. After muttering an "excuse me", she climbed them up. Before going after her, he looked at the Traveler, Siegwienne and the Fatui siblings around Freminet. They needed some time alone.

That was something he could sympathize with. A lot.

After they were upstairs and he was sure they couldn't be heard below, Wriothesley hugged Clorinde from behind. He rested his face on her neck, his arms gently wrapping around her waist. She was still wet from the rescue, but he didn't care. His entire body trembled as he closed his eyes – he didn't want to imagine what could have happened, so he let himself just feel her warmth, her scent, her voice.

"You almost let it slip." Clorinde warned, her tone still stern. She also was careful to not be loud.

What's that look in your face?

Her words echoed in his head, like the condemnation of the Oratrice.

He didn't reply.

"Hey, I'm fine," she said, while putting her right hand over his left one, "I'm really fine. It needs more than that to take me down."

His hug tightened. He didn't want to let go of her. Ever.

"You're showing weakness," she said. Her head leaned against his and she passed a hand on his hair. He could feel his "wolf ears" being ruffled around; he imagined a smile forming on her mouth, "…But this is why I married you."

He couldn't say "no" to Clorinde when she ruffled his hair in that spot.

Letting go of her, she turned around and put a hand on his cheek. The smile was there, even more beautiful than he could ever imagine.

"Hey, mission accomplished. I saved the boy and returned in one piece. It's alright, we're alright."

"If something happened to you…"

"But it didn't. Did you forget that I'm a duelist?"

"You are a cupcake."

He pulled her closer to him, in another embrace. Clorinde gave a small yelp out of surprise, but let herself bury her face in his chest, while wrapping her arms around his waist.

"How is the ship going?"

"Ahead of schedule. The Traveler has arrived, however, and that changes everything."

She looked up to him.

"What do you mean?"

"You read the reports, right? Anytime the Traveler arrives in a nation, great changes happen. It's foolish to think it won't be different with Fontaine. Besides, Neuvilette trusts him."

"So, you intend to tell him about the ship."

"Correct."

"I don't have any objections. I saw his actions at the Court with my own eyes. He's a good person."

"When the ship is ready, you'll be my first-mate, Cupcake. Then, it won't make a difference whether one belongs to the surface or the fortress. We won't have to hide anymore."

"Wesley, I keep dreaming…our kids running around in the deck. Just playing around and being happy, like kids should be."

"We'll make this dream a reality at the right time."

"I know. Until then, give me tea, with lots of sugar."

As the distance between their lips became smaller, they heard steps.

Wriothesley and Clorinde let go of each other.

He positioned himself close to his table, passing a hand on his hair, putting his business smile. She put up her standard stoic expression and picked up a cup of tea; after sipping quickly, she said out loud, as the Traveler approached, "No sugar, please."

"Uh, your grace…"

"Call me Wriothesley, Traveler."

"Right, I have good news…" he stopped to give them a look, "Freminet has awaken."

"Ah, I'm very pleased. Tell me if they want tea."

"I don't think that will be necessary. I'll…just leave you in your tea party." the Traveler gave them a half-smile and returned to his friends.

They looked at each other and Wriothesley shrugged. They resumed from where they left, kissing passionately each other.

A.N.: I wrote this short fic in a whim. I saw a post that said Wriorinde and Ittosara are incorrectly labeled as the same and I agreed, saying Wriorinde gives the vibe "they've been secretly married for four years" and Ittosara is "five-season romcom and they confess in the last episode". So, after finally watching their cutscene, I picked up the crumbs (especially Clorinde's line about Wriothesley's face) and made a loaf. So, while it's canon-compliant, this is an AU (also it's the same male Traveler from my previous Genshin fic). I hope you enjoy!
