Chapter 1: A little annoyance

Percy

I was chilling in my cabin for a while, or more so, staring at the ceiling for an hour. That was, until I heard a lot of crashing noises. I know I was in almost the furthest cabin from the entrance, but I could hear so many trees crashing. The satrys would not be happy. Anyways, I went to go check it out.

The Minotaur was chasing what looked to be a fifteen year old kid. He had light brown hair, striking gray eyes, a light tan, and he was in the shape of, well, what a fifteen year old demigod would look like unclaimed: weak. A pulled out my pen and uncapped it into Anaklusmos, or, riptide. Running up to the bull-face, I shouted to the kid, "Go! Run away!" Upon hearing these words, the kid made a dash for a bush for whatever reason.

The Minotaur, upon seeing me, decided to do the smartest thing it could think of: charging forward towards the kid who killed him twice. Percy jumped out of the way, and did a one hundred eighty degrees turn on to the Minotaur's back. Now that Percy was in slight control, he drove the Minotaur into a tree. The Minotaur was slightly dazed, as beef-butt's head was rolling. Percy cut off one of the Minotaur's horns to add to his collection, and the sliced beef-butt's head off. He went to check on the kid. I found him hiding in a bush with someone else. The other kid looked a little like Will did, so he immediately singled him out as a child of Zeus or Apollo with the blue eyes and blond hair. I reached out a hand and both of them gladly took it.

"Come on", I said. "I know a safe place".

They followed, looking desperate for a place to stay. We walked in silence for a bit until I asked, "What are your guy's name?"

The brown hair dude responded "I'm Oliver Eszes, and this is my friend, Rowan Ashford".

"Hi", said Rowan.

"I'm Percy", he responded. "Can I ask you something?"

"Sure", responded Oliver.

"Can you not freak out?" I asked. "I know this is a lot to take in but freaking out will do you more harm than good".

"Aye aye, captain", Rowan retorted. Percy ignored this comment.

As they started trudging Half-Blood Hill, Rowan started complaining about "How long this was taking" or "When are we going to get past this stupid hill", but Percy always responded, "We're nearly there". Oliver, on the other hand, was barely making a sound. There were the occasional grunts, but nothing more. After about five minutes of Rowan being a slob, we finally made it to the top of the hill. The hill wasn't even that tall for Zeus' sake.

After they made it to the top of the hill, both of them weren't following my one ask of them both, and their chins hit the floor. Oliver was looking all around the camp, scanning for things, and I could practically see the gears turning in his head. Rowan on the other hand, was a little bit…..hectic. In his eyes I could see hunger in his eyes, and not like he needed food. I decided to immediately single him out as a son of Zeus, only really because I already didn't like him because he was lazy. Oliver was definitely a son of Athena. His eyes were stormy gray, the signature eyes of Athena, and I could see he was fascinated by the architecture around the camp, especially the Athena Parthenos. I liked him already.

"Come", I said. "Sooner we get to safety, sooner you are claimed".

I guess they didn't know what was being claimed, so Oliver said, "What's being claimed?"

"What do you know about the Greek gods?", I asked.

"Quite a bit", said Oliver. "My dad told me quite a bit about them, and I told Rowan all about them, though -and no offense Rowan- he's not the one to remember things".

"Well, long story short, they're real", I said. "And sometimes, the gods come down to Earth and have children with mortals, or, your parents. I have an idea for who your parents are, and that's both of you".

"Who?" asked Oliver excitedly.

"Where's the fun in that?" I asked. "Besides, I don't want to get your hopes up too much and then if you don't like your godly parent then you can get discouraged and so on and so forth".

"Okay!" said Oliver, more excited than ever, while Rowan kept looking hungry.

After getting to the camp, he called everyone.

"Hello", he said. "These are two new campers Rowan Ashford, and Oliver Eszes, and hopefully they get claimed soon or something".

As if on cue, a lightning bolt appeared above Rowan's head, and an owl above Oliver's.

Chiron shouted, "All hail Oliver Eszes, son of Athena, goddess of wisdom and war. All hail Rowan Ashford, son of Zeus, god of the skies, and king of the gods".

Okay so, hopefully this was good. This is my first fanfic so please be nice. Also, I won't update that often. Just saying. Raven out.
