Hello all Storm here with a new story! And this time we're seeing Wendy taking the spotlight, but first we'll be seeing things get very dark in this chapter, dark and bloody, so don't say you weren't warned. So, without further ado.

Within Magnolia Town, several members of the Fairy Tail Guild were preparing to set out for Tenrou Island, a sacred location to the guild and the resting place of the First Master, Mavis Vermillion. As well as being the location for the next S-Class Promotion Trials to determine which members will be promoted to S-Class. With there being several members eager and ready to take part in the Trials to be promoted to S-Class Mages.
Unfortunately, one potential Mage was left unable to participate, with the Mage being Wendy Marvell the Sky Dragon Slayer.
Wendy is a petite twelve-year-old girl with fair skin, long, dark blue hair that reaches down to her waist, with two bangs framing her face which reach down to her chest and held in two pigtails by animal ear clips, brown eyes, and like all Dragon Slayers she had elongated canines, while her Fairy Tail stamp was on her right shoulder. With her attire consisting of a flowing dress with a triangular pattern near the top and crossing pattern around the rest of the dress, with it being held up by a gold ring around her neck, thick orange bands around each of her arms and ankle tied sandals on her feet.
At the moment, Wendy was lying in a bed in the guild's infirmary, holding her stomach and moaning in pain. While standing around her was her Exceed partner Carla, Mirajane Strauss, Kinana, Fairy Tail's Third Guild Master Makarov Dreyar, and the rest of Team Natsu. Which consisted of Natsu Dragneel and his own Exceed partner Happy, Lucy Heartfilia, Gray Fullbuster and Erza Scarlet. With all of them, aside from Carla, looking at the young bluenette in sympathy and pity at the state she's in.
"What're you all looking at?!" Carla said, glaring at everyone for how they're looking at her friend/partner, causing everyone to avert their gaze.
"I-it's f-f-fi-fine C-Ca-Carla. I-I'm a-a-ac-ac-actu-actually s-st-st-starting t-t-to-to f-fe-fe-feel-" Said Wendy, smiling weakly as she tried sitting up, only to fall back down on the bed when she started feeling light-headed and dizzy.
"Take it easy, Wendy. You're in no shape to be moving." Mirajane said in concern.
"Agreed. Just rest for now Wendy and let this pass on its own." Said Makarov, with Wendy looking at him hopefully.
"M-Ma-Master, d-d-do-do you th-th-think that the S-S-S-S-Class Tr-Trials c-c-co-co-could be…delayed, for a few days?" Wendy asked, hoping she could still take part in the S-Class Trials after this stomach flu she'd gotten passed.
Only to be saddened when Makarov shook his head and gave her a sympathetic look.
"I'm afraid not, once the time for the S-Class Trials comes, they can't be delayed or stopped. I'm sorry." Makarov replied, making the Dragon Slayer look down, saddened and disappointed that she won't get the chance to take part in the Trials.
"Hey, don't be sad, Wendy. There'll always be next time." Said Lucy while smiling encouragingly, with the others nodding in agreement.
"Indeed, and this will give you even more time to grow stronger than you already are. I'm sure by the time the next Trials comes, you'll be more than ready." Erza added, confident in Wendy's strength to be ready to be promoted to S-Class for the next Trials.
"Yeah, don't sweat it, Wendy. Just get some rest now and when the time comes, you'll be even more prepared to become S-Class. Besides, I'm sure some of us will be taking part with you." Gray said with a smirk and a glance at the Fire Dragon Slayer.
"Yeah, don't worry, Wendy! Next time, you and the stripper can become S-Class, or at least you can!" Said Natsu, much to Gray's annoyance as the two glared at each other.
"I was talking about you, Flame Brain! Like you'll be able to become S-Class!" Retorted Gray.
"Fat chance, stripper! I'm gonna be blowing you all out of the water! In fact, when we get back I'll have another S-Class Trials for Wendy to do and she'll take you down, too!" Natsu said, grinning at the younger Dragon Slayer, making Wendy giggle at the idea of Natsu setting up another S-Class Trials.
Only for the pink-haired Mage to be smacked and knocked to the ground by Erza and Lucy at his idea.
"You'll do no such thing, you brute! Anything you come up with would be more likely to endanger Wendy's life!" Carla said, shaking her head at the idea of Wendy participating in any competition Natsu comes up with.
"Aw, come on it wo-" Said Natsu.
"Don't even think about it, Natsu! You're bad enough on Jobs, there's no way you're gonna try setting up your own S-Class Trials!" Said Lucy, refusing to let Natsu be in charge of anything like that, not wanting to even think of any ideas he'd come up with for it.
"I don't know, Flame Brain here would probably think of something even a toddler could pass. So I'm sure Wendy wouldn't have any problems beating him at his own game." Gray said with a taunting smirk, making Natsu get up and glare at him.
"You wanna go stripper! Cause I'm ready if you are!" Natsu said with flames coming out of his mouth, with Gray returning the glare.
"Bring it on, fla-" Said Gray, only for both of them to silenced when Erza smashed their heads together, sending them both falling to the floor.
"Honestly, you two are able to work so well together, yet you can't have a normal conversation." Said Erza, with the others sweatdropping given how she'd just knocked them out rather than just separate them, before Makarov and Mirajane turned towards Kinana.
"Kinana, make sure Wendy drinks plenty of fluids and gets a lot of rest." Mirajane said, given while she's gone Kinana would be in charge of the kitchen and the bar.
"Don't worry Mira, Master. I'll make sure Wendy is back to full health by the time you all return." Said Kinana as she smiled at the two, which they returned.
"I'm sure you will. But just in case anything else comes up, head out to the East Forest outside of Magnolia Town. You'll find a treehouse there, where our medicinal adviser Porlyusica lives. Just tell her you're from Fairy Tail and she'll let you in…I think. Also don't worry about her personality, she doesn't really like anyone." Makarov said, with Kinana nodding in response, glad to know she'll be able to go get some help if she needs it.
"Okay then. Let's head out everyone and let Wendy get some rest." Said Makarov, smiling at the Sky Dragon Slayer, which she returned before waving to everyone as they left the infirmary.
Laying down in bed, Wendy couldn't help but sigh that she won't be able to take part in the S-Class Trials, even more so that she won't get to see Tenrou Island.
'I'll at least be able to hear about it, when everyone gets back. And if I'm lucky, the next S-Class Trials will take place on the island again.' Wendy thought as she soon drifted off the sleep, taking comfort that her friends will tell her about the Trials when they get back.
*Timeskip-Tenrou Island*
Makarov couldn't help but frown as he sat on a rock, waiting for the ship to be ready to take them back to the mainland, after the disastrous S-Class Trials.
The Third Master still couldn't believe how terribly everything could get, first with Dark Mages showing up and attacking them, Mages that came from the Dark Guild Grimoire Heart. With it getting worse when he learned the Master of Grimoire Heart was Precht Gaebolg, or Hades as he now calls himself. The former Second Master of Fairy Tail until he stepped down and named Makarov his successor.
It had horrified Makarov to learn his predecessor hasn't only become a Dark Mage, but the leader of one of the most notorious Dark Guilds in the world. With him having also grown more powerful and defeated Makarov despite his best efforts. Luckily though, Team Natsu had managed to work together and defeat Hades with the help of his grandson Laxus Dreyar. Who happened to "just be in the area" to visit the First Master's grave.
When Makarov had confronted Hades about why he became a Dark Mage, who revealed that he came to believe that the true nature of Magic was "darkness". With Makarov then reminding Hades of how he's the one who taught him that whether Magic was dark or light, it was alive and can be felt as anything. Before he walked away, refusing Hades' request to kill him out of respect the great things he did before becoming what he is now.
Afterwards, Makarov called the Trials off, knowing none of his guild members were in any shape to continue them, having them all get bandaged up and preparing the ship to return home.
Though…Makarov still frowned, feeling something was wrong, but couldn't be sure what exactly it was, only that it set him on edge. Not to mention a sound he's been hearing, echoing throughout the entire sky, one unlike anything he's ever heard before.
'That ungodly sound…what could it be?' Makarov thought, unsure what the sound was or what could make it, but felt that he and his children needed to get off this island soon.
"Master." Erza said, pulling Makarov from his thoughts as he turned to look at her.
"The ship will be ready to take us back to the mainland, shortly. Also…regarding Laxus." Said Erza, wondering what he intended to do about Laxus showing up here.
"I have nothing to discuss with or about that boy. Except that he has quite a pair on him, daring to set foot on the Fairy Tail Guild's most sacred ground. When he no longer has that privilege." Stated Makarov, willing to accept that Laxus's help was invaluable in defeating Hades, but he had still been excommunicated.
"But what he's done for us…" Erza said, knowing that with what Laxus did was unforgivable, but with how he showed up to help them, the redhead believed he could regain their trust.
"Yes, I heard all about his heroic fight with Hades. How he saved your lives by putting himself directly into harm's way." Makarov said while crossing his arms.
"My appreciation for what he did is more than words can convey, but as far as Fairy Tail is concerned, he's still an outsider. Albeit, one we owe our gratitude to." Said Makarov, making the Fairy Queen look down.
"So your position is firm is it." Stated Erza, having thought the Master would be the first to be glad for Laxus's return.
"Of course it is. That's how the guild stayed strong all this time." Laxus said, getting Erza's attention to see the Lightning Mage leaning against a tree.
"I only leant some help; I didn't mean anything else by it." Said Laxus, knowing he had his chance in Fairy Tail and messed it up, now he'd accept the consequences.
"Laxus…" Erza said, frowning at his words.
"Don't worry about me. I was just nearby when this happened, that's all. I didn't plan on sticking around for long, anyway." Laxus said before turning to his grandfather.
"Hey, old man!" Said Laxus, wanting his grandfather to look at him at least once before he left, not doubting that it'd be a long time before he ever saw him again.
With Makarov turning to look at his grandson, wondering what he had to say, only for the two to simply look at each other.
'That's it. That's the look.' Laxus thought while narrowing his eyes.
"Guess this is the last time I'll see that miserable face of yours. So long." Laxus said as he turned to leave.
Only for the Lightning Dragon Slayer to pause and grunt slightly before looking up at the sky as a strange sensation suddenly washed over him. Erza and Makarov also looked up at the sky as well, feeling something shift, as if something else was now approaching the island, something dangerous.
*With Gildarts and Cana*
Meanwhile, Gildarts Clive, the Ace of Fairy Tail, was embracing Cana Alberona, another Mage of Fairy Tail and unknown to him, his daughter as well. With Cana having finally worked up the courage to reveal she's his daughter, despite not being an S-Class Mage like she originally planned. But felt happy that Gildarts still accepted her, even if she wasn't on the same level as him.
Only for Gildarts to tense at a sudden presence he felt, making him unconsciously tighten his grip on Cana, making her look up at him.
"What is it?" Cana asked, seeing the look on his face and the way he kept looking at the sky.
"This sensation…" Gildarts muttered before they both heard a loud rumbling from the sky making them both tense at the sound.
*Camp*
While at the base camp, the rest of the guild members all stopped at the rumbling they heard, none of them being sure what it was. Before Mirajane looked at the drinks she'd made for everyone, seeing how they were visibly shaking, only to soon settle.
Though before anyone could react, they were all forced to cover their ears when a loud, earth-shattering roar echoed all around them.
"What is that?!" Evergreen yelled, not believing anything could make such a loud roar.
"That…that's a Dragons roar!" Said Gajeel Redfox, recognizing the sound and knew only a Dragon could roar like that.
"A Dragon?!" Lisanna Strauss said in disbelief just as the roaring stopped.
"You sure it isn't thunder?!" Questioned Panther Lily, not wanting to believe it's a Dragon showing up now, only for them to hear the roar once again.
"Guys! Are you okay?!" Said Lucy as she, Natsu, Gildarts, Cana, and Happy ran towards them after hearing the roar.
"That was a loud roar!" Happy stated, freaking out how anything could make such a sound.
Though before anyone could say or do anything else, Gildarts grunted and held his shoulder, feeling a striking pain from where his arm used to be.
"Hey! Are you okay?!" Cana asked in concern, wondering if he'd been more injured than expected in the fight against Grimoire Heart.
"My old wounds are starting to ache. No doubt, it's him." Said Gildarts, realizing what he felt wasn't wrong and that…monster really was here.
"Everyone, up in the sky!" Panther Lily said, pointing up when he saw something moving through the clouds.
Looking up, Natsu's eyes widened in shock when he saw what it was coming towards them, with everyone else being just as shocked.
"What is that?!" Yelled Gray, not believing it as they saw an actual Dragon descending out from above the clouds towards them.
The Dragon was truly massive in size, with his entire upper body covered in black, round, scales, which, in turn, are decorated by spiraling, blue markings. His lower body, specifically his chin, chest, stomach, inner tail, thighs, and arms, are gray in color, and appear to be rather smooth. His eyes are white and beady, and his head is round and blunt with four, large, elongated plates extending backward. His mouth is full of razor-sharp teeth, and, attached to his chin, is a protrusion that resembles an arrowhead. His large wings are feathery in appearance, akin to a bird's. The scales disappear at the end of his tail, which, in itself, ends in a stinger-esque shape.
"It's huge!" Elfman Strauss said, looking at the Dragon with wide eyes, before they all tensed when the Dragon roared loudly.
"You gotta be kidding me." Muttered Gajeel, unable to believe they now had a Dragon to deal with.
"I knew it…Dragons are still alive…" Natsu said, seeing that Dragons are still around, meaning he was one step closer to finding Igneel.
"The Black Dragon of the Apocalypse, it's Acnologia!" Said Makarov while gritting his teeth that such a being was now here.
"Yeah. It's him." Stated Gildarts, knowing he'd never forget the monster that almost killed him and knew if any of them wanted to get out of this alive they needed to run, and hope Acnologia didn't follow them.
"Hey you! Do you know where Igneel is?! As well as Grandeeney and Metalicana?!" Shouted Natsu, wanting answers if Acnologia knew where his, Wendy's, and Gajeel's foster parents were.
"Stop, Natsu!" Gildarts yelled, grabbing Natsu and pulling him back, surprising the Fire Dragon Slayer.
"Don't provoke him! Don't you remember what I told you, how I lost my arm and leg?!" Said Gildarts, with Natsu gritting his teeth as he remembered what Gildarts told him.
How in the blink of an eye, Acnologia destroyed his arm, leg, and innards, before leaving Gildarts for dead. That he was an enemy of all of humankind, and that no human could hope to defeat him.
Before everyone braced themselves as Acnologia flew down and landed right in front of them, worrying and scaring several of the Mages that he was going to attack.
"I don't think this ones like Natsu's and the other Dragons! It looks really evil!" Happy stated as Acnologia's landing created powerful gusts of winds.
"You've got that right! This thing…it's pure evil, the only it craves is destruction, plain and simple!" Said Gildarts while tensing up.
"So are we gonna fight it, then?!" Said Natsu, ready for to fight Acnologia if that's what he wanted.
"No, it's not like that. This isn't about winning or losing Natsu, it's about how we can escape. No…it's about which of us will be lucky to survive!" Said Gildarts, much to everyone's shock that the strongest member of Fairy Tail would say that.
Making them only even more fearful that this isn't a fight where they'd win or lose, it's one where they simply needed to hope to survive.
"Are you saying this thing's gonna kill some of us?!" Natsu demanded, angry and refusing to let anyone hurt his friends and family, only got Acnologia to rear its head back.
"Everyone, move now!" Gildarts shouted, seeing what Acnologia was doing and knew they needed to get out of the way or risk being ripped apart.
Though before anyone could move, Acnologia unleashed another roar, one much more powerful than the previous ones as the roar ripped apart the ground. Sending rocks, trees, and dust flying everywhere, along with destroying one of the large rock formations on the island.
Once the dust settled, Natsu looked around in shock when he saw the forest that had once surrounded them…was completely gone.
"N-no way…the forest…it's just gone…with a single roar." Natsu said in disbelief that Acnologia could do that with a regular roar, not even an attack just a single roar.
"Th-this kind of destruction…it's unreal." Said Levy as Gajeel shielded her from the roar, not believing the destruction unleashed from it.
"All of that, just from a single roar…what is that?! Cana said, shocked and horrified that such power could exist, making even Fairy Glitter look like a light breeze in comparison.
"Tsk, he's…sitting back and enjoying it, huh?!" Said Gildarts as they saw Acnologia looking over the destruction he caused, as if enjoying the sight of the devastation.
"I guess you could say that's his idea of saying "hello". Is everyone still alive?! If so, then don't just stand around, we need to move and get off this island now!" Gildarts said, only to see Acnologia fly up into the air.
"Get to the ship!" Yelled Gildarts, knowing the Dragon's now going in for the attack.
"Everyone, through the trees now!" Erza shouted, pointing towards where the ship was waiting.
None of them needing to be told twice as they all took off running to reach the ship with Acnologia flying after them. The Black Dragon proving to be faster as it landed again, right in front of Bickslow and Fried Justine, slamming his head into the ground throwing them back.
"Bickslow! Fried!" Evergreen cried out in worry for her teammates.
"Great, now he's cut off our escape! What're we supposed to do now?!" Said Gray, seeing Acnologia was now standing between them and the ship, leaving them trapped.
The Mages were then forced to keep running as Acnologia smashed his claws into the ground to crush them, sending them flying from the impacts. While also swinging his tail, throwing dozens of trees through the air, with Elfman being unlucky enough to be in the way, crying out as was thrown through the air.
"Elfman!" Said Evergreen, letting her wings out as she flew up and grabbed Elfman before he hit the ground.
"Thanks, Ever." Elfman said, only for it to be short-lived as Acnologia raised his hand and slammed it into them, sending them crashing to the ground.
"No…I don't like this!" Levy exclaimed, completely terrified at seeing how relentless Acnologia was being in his attacks.
Gritting his teeth at seeing his friends being hurt, Natsu shouted and charged at Acnologia to fight him head on. But before he could even use a spell, Acnologia slammed his hand into the ground in front of Natsu, throwing the pinkette back as he skidded across the ground. With Natsu getting back up and glaring at the Black Dragon,
"Hey! Okay, that's it buddy, you're gonna-" Natsu shouted, only to stop when he saw Makarov move in front of them and throw off his shirt.
"Gramps!" Said Natsu, wondering what he was planning on doing, with Makarov's body being surrounded by golden Magic before he began growing.
"Get to the ship!" Makarov said, his voice becoming deeper and distorted as he grew to his giant form.
The Master moved forward, wrapping his arms around Acnologia's head, gritting his teeth as the Dragon tried pushing him back, with Makarov digging his feet into the ground to hold him in place. But rather than be relieved, the Mages were horrified that their Master was trying to fight Acnologia.
"This is insane! You don't stand a chance!" Gray yelled, not thinking even Makarov could fight Acnologia.
"Master! Please stop! If anything happens to you, the guild will be…!" Said Erza, not wanting to even imagine their Master dying to save them.
"Run!" Said Makarov, grunting as Acnologia kept pushing him back.
"Since it's come to this, we'll join you!" Freed declared, refusing to run if their Master planned to fight Acnologia, himself.
"Don't you dare underestimate Fairy Tail!" Added Bickslow, as everyone began getting up to fight with Makarov.
All the Mages shouted their agreement and encouragement to fight with their Master, knowing if he was going to stay and fight then so would they. With Makarov gritting his teeth as he tried keeping his hold on the Dragon King, before looking at the Mages.
"Can't you just listen to your Master one last time, you damn brats?!" Makarov yelled, having no illusion that he was going to survive this battle and would give his life to defend his guild.
"L-last…?" Mirajane said in horror that he was really willing to die to save them.
With Laxus looking at his grandfather in disbelief as he was now beginning to realize just what it meant to be Fairy Tail's Guild Master.
"I'm a Dragon Slayer, this is what I was meant to do! If he's an enemy, then let me-" Natsu shouted, not caring what Makarov said, he wasn't planning on leaving, only to gag when Laxus grabbed him by the back of his scarf.
"Let's go Natsu!" Said Laxus, much to Natsu's anger.
"Laxus! You…!" Said Natsu, only to stop when he saw the tears flying from Laxus's eyes.
"Master…please be safe!" Erza said as she and the others began running to the ship, accepting their Masters wish for them to escape.
'What good children. It may be hard to believe, but this is for the best. It's times like these that teach you important lessons for your future. Like tears are wasteful things, nothing to trouble over. Is death caused by sadness? Or is sadness caused by death? The answer is in your hearts. My dear children you must learn, grow, and live!' Makarov thought, knowing this is the only way he'd choose to die, ensuring his children lived.
"You foul creature!" Makarov shouted as he used all his strength to tip Acnologia over and slam him into the ground, only for the Black Dragon to get back up.
"I don't know what your goal is here, but I'm not letting you get any further! Because my kids are behind me!" Said Makarov, refusing to let Acnologia go any further towards his children.
But before Makarov could even react, Acnologia roared and stood up on his hindlegs, making the Guild Master cry out as he was immediately pushed back. The Dragon King roared as he pushed Makarov to the ground and slammed his hand into his chest, before pressing down into him. Gritting his teeth at the pain from the pressure, Makarov shouted into Acnologia's face, making the Dragon King return it with a roar.
Only for Acnologia to move back a little, feeling some confusion when Makarov suddenly started laughing and smiling, as if he wasn't burying his claws in his chest.
'For the first time, I was able to act like a parent…I can die a happy man.' Makarov thought, accepting his end as long as it meant his children were safe.
With Acnologia roaring again and dismissing the humans behavior, while Makarov fell against the ground and closed his eyes, preparing himself for the end. Only for them to immediately snap open when he heard footsteps running towards them and saw Natsu run by.
Seeing the other human and smelling the scent of Dragons on him, Acnologia growled in anger before bringing his tail down to crush Natsu. Only for the pinkette to roll out of the way and jump onto Acnologia's tail before jumping up and grabbing onto his arm.
"We're getting gramps back! Ya hear me?! You aren't killing anyone!" Natsu shouted at Acnologia, with the Dragon King looking at him clinging to his arm, like an insect.
What happened next shocked Natsu and Makarov, as Acnologia lowered his head and seemed to look the Dragon Slayer right in the eye, then…he spoke.
"Then die with him." Said Acnologia, before lifting his arm up and swinging it at Makarov, sending the giant Guild Master crashing against a rock formation, while throwing Natsu off his arm and through the air.
"Power of the End!" Acnologia roared, gathering Magic in his hand before firing a massive blast at Makarov, blasting a hole right through the side of Makarov's chest.
The Guild Master gasped and coughed up blood from the blast going right through him, much to the shock and horror of the Mages as they'd returned to help him fight. Only to see their Master be blasted and shrink down to his normal size, unmoving.
"GRAMPS!" Natsu shouted in horror and despair, looking at his Masters body with tears in his eyes.
"MASTER!" Yelled the Fairy Tail Mages, in horror, pain, sadness and despair at witnessing their Masters death.
"O-ol-ol-old m-ma-ma-ma-man…n-n-n-no-n-n-no-no…NOOOOOOO!" Laxus screamed, falling to his hands and knees that his grandfather was actually gone.
Only for everyone to look at Acnologia as his body began glowing, before he started shrinking down until in the Black Dragon's place was a human.
He was a rather muscular young man with long, dark blue hair, carrying a sharp gaze; his blue eyes also have black circles around them. He is dark-skinned, and on his body he bears the same light blue markings he does when he is a Dragon. For attire, Acnologia dons a high collared, black cloak, which also bears his draconian markings, sharp red claws around his neck, a sash around his waist, a gold arm ring tightened around his right upper arm, and baggy pants which are decorated the same as the most former article of clothing.
"The human asked why I have come here. It's because I smelled the putrid scent of Dragons and that of the Black Wizard." Acnologia stated as he began approaching the Mages to wipe them out, only for Natsu to roar with fire erupting off of him while glaring at the Black Dragon hatefully with tear-filled eyes.
"You want a Dragon?! Then here, Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" Yelled Natsu as he launched himself at Acnologia, channeling a large amount of fire into his fist.
With Happy flying forward and latching onto his friend's back, propelling him forward even faster towards Acnologia. Only for everything to seemingly start moving in slow motion for everyone, as they watched Natsu charge at Acnologia. While the Dragon King slowly turned towards him with narrowed eyes as he flexed his hand.
Then the next thing anyone knew, Acnologia turned into little more than a blur that blitzed past Natsu, with blood splattering everywhere. Their horror only growing as they looked back at Natsu, only to see the entire right side of his chest and abdomen had been torn out, with his entire right arm also missing. As for Happy, the only thing they saw left of him was a single broken and bloodstained wing.
"One." Acnologia said before glancing towards Gajeel.
The Iron Dragon Slayer having no time to even blink as Acnologia appeared right in front of him. Before gagging in complete agony when the Dragon King impaled his arm through his chest, gripping his heart in his hand. With Acnologia then raising his other hand at Gajeel and firing another blast of Magic that completely vaporized his entire upper body.
"Two." Said Acnologia, crushing Gajeel's heart in his hand and turning towards Laxus next, as everyone could only look in shock, horror, and despair at how quickly he'd just killed three of their comrades.
"GAJEEL!" Levy screamed, falling to her knees and covering his mouth in horror at seeing how he was brutally murdered.
"N-Na-Na-Na-N-Na…NATSU!" Screamed Lucy with tears falling from her eyes at the sight of his mutilated body, while not even seeing anything left of Happy.
While Lisanna fell to her knees with her hands covering her face, screaming and crying in absolute despair at seeing Natsu and Happy being murdered so brutally. While Mirajane and Elfman were instantly by their sister's side, fighting back their own pain and grief to try and comfort her.
"You…You…You're gonna pay for what you've done!" Gray yelled while glaring at Acnologia in pure hatred, not believing he could ever hate something more than Deliora, but now he wanted nothing more than to tear Acnologia's head off.
"I swear no matter what, I will slay you myself!" Said Erza, summoning a sword and pointing it Acnologia, refusing to let him get away with this.
"You want him…then get in line!" Shouted Laxus as his head snapped up, showing his enraged expression, before he turned into lightning that rushed towards Acnologia.
"Three." Acnologia stated, raising his hand and firing another blast of Magic at Laxus's lightning form.
With Laxus just barely dodging it, not wanting to take the risk on whether or not his Lightning Body would be able to protect him from whatever Magic Acnologia had.
"Resounding through the air, the roar of thunder, plunge from the heavens and reap destruction! Raging Bolt!" Laxus said, turning back to normal and raising his arms up, before thrusting them towards Acnologia unleashing a massive bolt of lightning at the Dragon King.
Narrowing his eyes at the blast, Acnologia raised his hand before flicking his wrist, knocking the lightning bolt off to the side. Before he saw Fried, Evergreen, and Bickslow rushed forward and surround him along with Laxus.
"Go babies, help Laxus! Line Formation!" Said Bickslow as five dolls stacked on top of each other before unleashing a long, vertical line of magic at Acnologia to slice through him.
"You'll regret what you've taken from our guild! Dark Écriture: Darkness! Darkness Breath!" Fried said, inscribing runes onto himself transforming into his huge demonic form before gathering Darkness Magic and molding it into a dark tornado around Acnologia damaging him.
"Experience the wrath of the Fairy Tail Guild! Fairy Machine Gun: Leprechaun!" Said Evergreen, waving her arms and unleashing a torrent of energy needles at Acnologia.
The three attacks all collided around Acnologia, with the three Mages keeping up the attack, while Laxus gathered up a large amount of lightning.
"Maybe I wasn't trained by a Dragon. Maybe I'm not as strong as Natsu or Gajeel were. But that doesn't matter anymore because…I'm the Dragon Slayer that'll kill you! Lightning Dragon's Heavenward Halberd!" Said Laxus, raising his arms at his sides and channeling his lightning in between his hands, forming it into a massive spear.
Before Laxus shouted as he launched the spear right at Acnologia, engulfing him in a massive explosion from all four attacks colliding together.
"Lightning Dragon's…ROAR!" Laxus roared as he unleashed a destructive blast of pure lightning at the Dragon King, intending to make sure he really died.
Only for the Dragon Slayer to be shocked and horrified when he saw Acnologia actually moving towards him through his Roar, as if it wasn't even there. Making Laxus channel more Magic into his attack, causing the blast to increase in size and power, yet Acnologia continued moving.
"Lightning Dragon's Breakdown Fi-AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" Said Laxus, channeling lightning into his fist to launch a Breakdown Fist at Acnologia.
But the moment he thrust his forward, Acnologia's hand shot out and wrapped around his wrist before snapping it hard enough the bone was now sticking out, making him scream out in pain. His pain only growing when Acnologia's leg lashed out, smashing against his knee and breaking his leg in half. Bringing Laxus down to his remaining knee as he gritted his teeth and glared at Acnologia who simply looked at him impassively.
"Li-Lightning D-Dragon's R-" Said Laxus, refusing to stop now and hoped a point-blank blast would be enough to take him out.
Unfortunately, he never got the chance to finish calling out his attack when Acnologia swung his arm at his neck. Sending Laxus's head flying away while his body fell to the ground, much to everyone's continuously growing horror, especially the Thunder Legion at seeing their leader be killed.
"Three." Acnologia stated, seeing that he's now dealt with the last Dragon Slayer on the island, before looking off to where he could smell Zeref's retreating scent.
"LAXUS!" Fried, Bickslow, and Evergreen yelled in despair, only for it to be replaced by anger and rage.
"You'll pay! Darkness Flare Bomb!" Shouted Fried, creating a sphere-like bomb of dark energy and charged at Acnologia.
"Make sure there's nothing left of this monster, babies! Baryon Formation!" Bickslow said as his dolls formed a pentagonal shape and began spinning producing a large whirlwind before unleashing a massive magical blast.
"Be reduced to nothing, but dust! Fairy Bomb: Gremlin!" Said Evergreen, releasing a large amount of dust particles from her body that surrounded Acnologia, before detonating and engulfing him in a massive explosion.
With Fried launching the dark energy bomb at the Dragon King, just as Evergreen detonated the explosion and Bickslow blast impacted him. The three believing and hoping that such powerful attacks would be enough to obliterate Acnologia's body. And if not then at least injure him enough so they could finish him off.
Though they were soon filled with shock and despair when they saw the Magical Energy from their attacks began distorting and swirling around, revealing that Acnologia was devouring the Magic. The Dragon King's head being tilted back as he devoured the Magic from the attacks, before snapping back up and looking at the Thunder Legion with narrowed eyes. Before Acnologia suddenly disappeared and reappeared right in the middle of the trio in a burst of speed.
"Begone." Acnologia said before he unleashed a blast of pure Dragon Slayer Magic from his body that enveloped him and the Thunder Legion, vaporizing their entire bodies the moment it touched them, not even giving them time to scream.
The death of three more of their guildmates being enough to finally snap the remaining Mages out of their shock and horror. As well as the fact Acnologia turned his back on them, now that he's dealt with his targets and has no further reason to stay on the island.
"Every get to the ship, right now!" Gildarts shouted, knowing they should take the chance while they can, before Acnologia decides to just kill all of them, anyway.
"No! Are we supposed to run now, after what he's done?!" Said Erza, refusing to simply run away, not after seven of their guildmates, including their Master, were killed.
"And are you crazy to want to try and fight him?! Look at what's already happened! We need to get out of here!" Retorted Cana, not believing Erza would actually want to stay and fight Acnologia.
"Better that we actually try rather than run, so he can go and kill even more people!" Gray said while siding with Erza, not wanting to let Acnologia simply leave to continue killing and destroying.
"They're right! I'm not leaving without at least doing something!" Said Levy, not intending to leave without trying to avenge their murdered Master and friends.
"Erza, Gray, Levy! Please just think about this, what could any of us even do!" Mirajane said, preferring if they escaped while they could, not wanting anymore of them to be killed, especially her brother and sister, the latter they just got back after thinking she was dead.
"Anything's better than just running!" Levy said, too angry and pained to care how low their chances were.
"Gray-sama…" Said Juvia, looking at Gray in worry and fear, also agreeing it'd be better for them to escape.
"Do what you want Juvia, I'm not leaving until he's dead." Said Gray, glaring at Acnologia while the bluenette flinched at his words.
"We'll take him down together." Lucy said standing with Erza, Gray, and Levy to stay.
"Damnit! The rest of you get to the ship!" Said Gildarts to those that were willing to escape, wanting to at least make sure they got to safety, while intending to return and drag the others away if he has to, that is if any of them will still be alive.
While Acnologia continued walking away, not even bothering to listen to anything the remaining humans were saying. Only to stop as his annoyance started growing, before he turned and held up his hand, blocking Erza's spiked mace as the S-Class Mage was now wearing her Purgatory Armor and glaring at the Black Dragon.
"We won't let you leave after killing our comrades and Master!" Erza said, with Acnologia only letting out a "Tsk" sound before clenching his hand around the mace crushing it.
With Erza quickly jumping back as her armor glowed before switching to her Heaven's Wheel Armor, only for her eyes to widen when Acnologia appeared right in front of her.
"Go Aquarius, Sagittarius!" Said Lucy, summoning Aquarius and Sagittarius to help distract Acnologia.
"I swear if you get us killed, I'll kill you next blondie! Torrent!" Aquarius said before unleashing a large torrent of water from her urn at Acnologia, stopping the Dragon King from striking Erza, with Sagittarius unleashing a barrage of arrows as well.
"Solid Script: Thunder!" Said Levy while pointing her fingers at Acnologia, creating the word Thunder in the air made of lightning, before shooting several bolts of lightning that electrified the water as it hit him.
"Ice-Make: Floor!" Gray said creating a Magic Circle as he froze the water around Acnologia, trapping him in a large amount of ice.
"Now, attack! Blumenblatt!" Said Erza, summoning dozens of swords which she launched at Acnologia, crashing through the ice and towards the Black Dragon.
"Ice-Make: Cannon!" Said Gray, creating an ice cannon and firing a blast of ice towards Acnologia.
"Leo!" Said Lucy, grunting as she used more of her Magic to summon Leo as well.
"Right! Lion Brilliance!" Leo said, gathering up a large amount of light before unleashing it all at Acnologia, with Aquarius and Sagittarius keeping up with their own attacks.
"Solid Script: Fire! Solid Script: Storm!" Said Levy, creating the words Fire and Storm in the air, before they combined together in a massive blast of fire she launched at the Dragon King.
All of the attacks combined together as they travelled towards Acnologia, only for none of them to even hit their target. The Mages and Spirits looking in shock and despair, when a powerful blast of Magic erupted off of Acnologia, splitting the Unison Raid right down the middle. Before they heard Erza gasp and scream out, making them quickly turn towards her. Only to see Acnologia with his hand wrapped around her throat and smashing her into the ground, destroying her armor on impact.
"Erza!" Lucy yelled in fear and worry, before Acnologia swiped his arm through the air unleashing gale force winds that sent them flying back, crying out as they smashed into the ground and rocks.
"I have lived longer than any of you humans could imagine. I have killed thousands of humans, demons, and Dragons beyond your comprehension. And over those centuries of bloodshed, I have learned one single fact about you humans." Acnologia said, lifting Erza into the air by her neck, making the Fairy Queen gasp and grab his arm to try and pull it off before he slammed her back down.
"It's that there are two kinds of people that don't run from battle, the strong and the brave. With the latter of which having an unfortunate tendency of not living long. And you…you Mages think yourselves as the strong, but you're not. No, you all are the brave, but that doesn't make you strong. You believe that attempting to fight me to avenge those filthy Dragons makes you strong? That by working together, you can hope to challenge the Dragon King? Thinking that because you're brave and work together, that you can overcome anything you face?" Said Acnologia while narrowing his eyes at the Mages, before pulling his other arm back.
"But you fail to forget, bravery…only goes so far against the true, overwhelming power you dared to stand against. My only desire was to slay the Dragons, you humans were not worth my attention. Yet you still seek to fight? Then if you wish to fight together, you can die together as well." Acnologia said as he began charging up Magic to vaporize Erza as well.
"No!" Yelled Gray as he struggled to get back up.
"Don't do it!" Levy screamed, not wanting to see another friend be murdered.
"Die. Power of the End!" Said Acnologia thrusting his hand towards Erza and unleashing a powerful blast right at her, with the redhead closing her eyes and bracing herself for the inevitable.
"All Crush!"
But just before the blast could hit Erza, a cross-shaped blast of Magic slammed right into Acnologia, knocking him off of the Fairy Queen and made him skid across the ground. Making Erza gasp in shock and relief that she wasn't dead, before she saw Gildarts appear in front of her as he looked at Acnologia.
"G-Gildarts?" Erza said in surprise that he came back.
"I think you all are completely insane for choosing to stay and try to fight this bastard, but I'll be damned before I decide to leave any member of Fairy Tail behind to die." Said Gildarts, while Acnologia came to a stop and narrowed his eyes at the Ace of Fairy Tail.
"Your scent, human…I recognize it." Acnologia stated, with Gildarts moving his cloak aside to reveal his prosthetic arm and leg, along with bandages wrapped around his midsection.
"Yeah, I hope you do, you're the one who gave me these. I almost died thanks to you, but you can see I'm not so easily killed. Mizuwari!" Gildarts said, raising his fist into the air and imbuing it with a large amount of Crush Magic.
Before slamming it into the ground, cracking it open and unleashing a massive shockwave towards Acnologia, with the Dragon King merely jumping back before spreading his arms out.
"Eternal Flare!" Said Acnologia casting out starry lights from his body that began raining down, with those that impact the island detonating in large explosions.
Cursing the sight of the falling star-like attacks, Gildarts jumped up and gave a shout as he began unleashing blasts of Crush Magic at them, separating the attacks into tiny cubes. Stopping them before they could damage the island even further or risk any of the others getting caught in the explosions. Before he then dived towards Acnologia with his fist pulled back and charging it with Crash Magic.
"Crushing Evil, Spreading the Truth: Absolute Heaven!" Said Gildarts, thrusts his fist towards Acnologia, with the Black Dragon narrowing his eyes before pulling his fist back as well as it glowed with Magic.
Their fists collided against each other, triggering a shockwave and explosion that engulfed the two of them, while blowing away everything around them. Only for Gildart's eyes to widen as he saw his prosthetic arm was breaking apart until it suddenly shattered into pieces. Allowing Acnologia's attack to continue onward, making the Ace of Fairy Tail gag in complete agony as he felt Acnologia slash his claws across his chest, before firing a blast of Magic right through his abdomen.
With the force of the blast sending Gildarts flying back and crashing into the ground, much to everyone's shock and horror at the state he was in.
"NO!" Cana screamed in horror as she ran over to her father, falling to her knees and holding his head and neck up.
"C-Ca-Ca-Cana…" Gildarts said weakly while coughing up some blood as the brunette looked at him with tears in her eyes.
"No, no, no, no, no, no, no! You can't die now! Not…not after I finally told you! Now you're going to just throw your life away?!" Said Cana, not wanting her father to die after finally telling him she's his daughter.
"I-I-I-I-I…I'm s-s-so-so-sorry…th-th-th-tha-that I-I…I c-co-couldn't…se-se-see wh-what…what was…r-ri-right…in f-fr-fro-front…o-o-of…me-me…" Gildarts said, only for Cana to shake her head.
"Don't be sorry! Just don't die! If you want to try an act like a father, then start by not leaving!" Cana begged, with Gildarts smiling weakly up at her, before slowly raising his arm and holding her hand.
"You…you r-re-really l-lo-look…j-ju-ju-just…li-li-like h-he-her…sh-sh-she'd…s-sh-she'd be…proud…j-ju-just li-like…I-I…" Said Gildarts before he let out a breath and went completely still, with his hand falling limply to the ground.
"N-No…G-Gi-Gildarts…T-T-To-Tou-san…" Cana said in horror, realizing he's actually gone, causing her to scream in agony and sorrow.
With the others all feeling her pain and sadness, that they've now lost another friend and guildmate, even more so that it's their Ace they've lost, someone they all looked up to. While Erza, Lucy, Gray, and Levy felt the most pain and horror, realizing that this was their fault. Their fault for choosing to stay behind and fight Acnologia, rather than run with the others when they could.
Before hurting even more at remembering everything Acnologia said, that they weren't strong because they were brave or worked together. The only thing they were is foolish for trying to fight against someone who already repeatedly showed they outclassed them in every way. And now because of their desire to avenge those who already died, they've lost someone else.
"This is your fault!" Cana screamed while glaring at Erza and the others, making them flinch at the anger and hate in her eyes.
"Because you couldn't just run, Gildarts is dead! My father is dead because of all of you!" Said Cana, feeling angry, hurt, and despair that she's now lost her father after finally revealing herself to him.
"Cana, I-" Said Erza, though wasn't sure what she could even try to say.
"Shut up! I don't want to hear anything from any of you, ever again!" Cana shouted, not caring about anything they had say, knowing she'll never forgive them for what they've done.
Before anyone could say or do anything else, their attention turned back to Acnologia as he began glowing and growing back into his Dragon form. Causing the Mages to start running again to avoid being crushed by the gigantic Dragon King. While Acnologia roared and thrashed his tail around, along with tearing everything into pieces with his claws. Making everyone run as fast as they could to escape, only for Lisanna to end up tripping and falling to the ground.
"Lisanna!" Mirajane screamed in fear, rushing to her sister and helping her up, only for their eyes to widen when Acnologia's attention turned towards them and brought his hand down to crush them.
"Mira-nee!" Said Lisanna, pushing Mirajane back out of the way, not wanting her to die saving her.
"NO!" Yelled Mirajane, not wanting to end up losing her sister a second time.
But before Acnologia could crush, Elfman shot forward, using his Beast Soul to transform into The Beast, doing so just in time to hold up Acnologia's hand from crushing his sisters.
"Go, now!" Elfman said to his sisters, grunting as Acnologia kept pushing harder and harder into him, making the ground crack beneath him.
"No! We aren't leaving you, Elfman!" Mirajane said, refusing to leave her brother either to try holding Acnologia off.
"Mira-nee's right! We'll fight together Elf-nii!" Said Lisanna as they prepared to use their own Take-Over Magic to help him, making Elfman grit his teeth as he couldn't hold Acnologia back much longer.
Knowing they'd all only end up being crushed by the Black Dragon, Elfman refused to let his sisters die after everyone else they've lost. After believing he was responsible for Lisanna's death because he couldn't control himself. And then being left frozen in fear as Acnologia killed Evergreen and the rest of the Thunder Legion, Elfman refuse to let anyone else he cares about die.
"It's…it's a man's duty to protect his family and friends, no matter what! Now go!" Yelled Elfman before shoving Mirajane and Lisanna back as hard as he could to get them out of the way.
Only for this to cost him, as using only one arm wasn't enough to hold Acnologia's hand back any longer, leading to the Dragon King putting more strength into his arm and crushing Elfman beneath his hand.
"ELFMAN!" Screamed Mirajane and Lisanna in horror that they've now lost their brother, along with everyone else they already have.
"I've grown tired of wasting my time on you humans. Disappear, forever!" Acnologia roared as he flew up into the air and began absorbing Magic into his mouth to unleash his Dragon's Roar, with everyone simply watching in despair at the attack that's going to end them all.
Knowing they couldn't even hope to get to the boat in time, let alone far enough away to avoid being wiped out by Acnologia's attack. As those who chose to stay behind realized Acnologia was right, because of their recklessness, Makarov's sacrifice would be in vain. They all had their chance to escape earlier, but they wasted it and now they'll all die.
Though right as Acnologia was going to fire his Dragon's Roar, Natsu's and Gajeel's bodies began glowing bright. Before to the Mage's shock two Dragons emerged from within them, one being red and the other being a greyish-silver color like iron.
"ACNOLOGIA!" Roared the red Dragon in pure rage before unleashing a massive amount of flames at the Dragon King, knocking him back and stopping his roar from being released.
"Iron Dragon's Hard Fist!" The metal Dragon roared, slamming his fist into Acnologia's face, sending him back further away from the island.
"Is that…Igneel?!" Said Lucy in shock and disbelief to see Natsu's foster father had seemingly come out of his body.
"And Metalicana!" Levy said upon seeing Gajeel's foster father as well.
None of them believing the sight of the two Dragons appear from the deceased Dragon Slayer's bodies, and were now fighting Acnologia.
"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" Igneel roared, coating his arm in flames and flying at Acnologia.
"Iron Dragon's Lance!" Said Metalicana, unleashing multiple iron lances from his arm that extended towards Acnologia.
With the Dragon King flying away, dodging the attacks only to growl as Metalicana's rods continued rushing towards him. Before he stopped and swung his claws, slicing through the iron rods before they could hit him, with Igneel taking the chance to rush forward and grab Acnologia.
"The time has finally come for you to been slain once and for all! Fire Dragon's Claw!" Shouted Igneel covering his foot in fire before slamming it into Acnologia, sending him spinning through the air from the impact.
"Iron Dragon's Roar!" Metalicana roared, unleashing a tornado filled with sharp iron shards at Acnologia, engulfing the Black Dragon in the attack.
"Fire Dragon's Roar!" Roared Igneel, releasing a massive blast of flames, igniting Metalicana's tornado and super-heating the metal shards.
While back down on the island, the Mages started feeling some hope that maybe the two Dragons would be enough to kill Acnologia. Before Erza grabbed Lucy's and Gray's hands, making them look at her, before they took the others hands as well. Knowing that in the event Igneel and Metalicana fail to kill Acnologia and he still finishes them all off, they'll go out together.
"Cana, please." Mirajane said looking at the brunette who hadn't taken anyone's hand.
"…Whatever." Muttered Cana, taking the white-haired girls hand, only doing so in the belief this is likely going to be the end for them and it's what Gildarts would do no matter what anyone did.
Unknown to the Mages, the spirit of the First Master Mavis had been watching over them when Acnologia had first arrived, using her Magic to create projection of herself. With Mavis being saddened at all the death and loss inflicted on her guild, but now saw her chance to save those that were still left. Holding her hands together, Mavis was surrounded by golden Magic as she prepared to cast the one spell she knew that'd keep them safe from Acnologia. And one she could only cast thanks to the bond and faith they still had in each other.
"Fairy…Sphere!" Mavis said while spreading her arms out, unleashing a wave of golden magic that enveloped the entire island in a sphere of Magic with Fairy Tail's logo and stylized wings on the front.
Back in the sky, Acnologia roared loudly and flapped his wings dispersing the combined Dragon Roars, before he blitzed Metalicana, stabbing his arm through the Iron Dragon's chest.
"To think that Dragons still live…I am displeased." Acnologia stated before he grabbed Metalicana's head and ripped it off his body with a roar.
"No!" Igneel roared in rage and anger at seeing Metalicana's death, before charging at Acnologia slamming into him.
Grabbing hold of the Dragon King, Igneel roared and engulfed his body in fire before biting down on Acnologia's neck, getting a roar from the Black Dragon as Igneel attempted to tear his head off and burn him to ash. Before Igneel's eyes widened when Acnologia reached around and wrapped a hand around his throat. Squeezing tightly as he choked the Fire Dragon King, making Igneel bite down harder and began gathering flames in his mouth to burn through Acnologia's neck..
"Power of the End!" Roared Acnologia firing a blast of Magic from his hand right through Igneel's throat, making the Fire Dragon King roar in pain and unwillingly release Acnologia.
Only to be silenced as Acnologia stabbed his fist through his chest and gripped Igneel's heart in his hand.
"The only thing I despise more than a Dragon, is a weak one." Acnologia growled before tearing Igneel's heart from his chest, letting him fall into the ocean along with Metalicana's body.
Roaring his triumph over slaying two more Dragons, Acnologia dropped Igneel's heart before flying off. No longer having any further reason to remain here with the Dragons dead and unable to smell where Zeref was.
Once Acnologia gone, several Magic Council ships moved forward towards where Tenrou Island used to be, only to find nothing left of the island, making them believe Acnologia had destroyed the island. Aboard one of them was Doranbolt, a member of Fairy Tail though in truth was an undercover member of the Rune Knights known as Mest Gryder, having been sent to infiltrate Fairy Tail as a member.
"What…what should we do?" Mest asked looking at Lahar, while trying to ignore the pain and sorrow he felt at how his former guildmates and Master were likely dead, even if it was just part of his mission.
"…Contact the other ships, have them work to gather the bodies of those Dragons, we can't risk them falling into the hands of any Dark Guilds. And…when we return to the mainland, contact the Fairy Tail Guild, tell them what's happened." Replied Lahar, with Mest only nodding before going to give the orders to collect Igneel's and Metalicana's bodies.

It hadn't been long before the news had been delivered to Fairy Tail of the tragedy that occurred on Tenrou Island, which to everyone's knowledge no longer existed. Something that devastated the entire guild, learning that several of their friends and Master were now likely dead at the hand of the Black Dragon of the Apocalypse.
With Wendy having taken the worst when she learned what happened, as she was still in the infirmary thanks to her stomach flu. Something that made her feel even worse that was why she couldn't have gone with her friends, her family, just because she was sick.
"Wendy. It's…it'll be okay, everyone…everyone else is still here." Carla said, trying to comfort her partner/friend as best as she could, but honestly wasn't sure anything she said could help.
"No! No, nothing is okay Carla! Nothing will ever be okay! They're…they're all…all gone now, and I…and I wasn't there!" Said Wendy while squeezing her eyes shut to try and stop the tears from falling.
All while feeling guilt and self-loathing, blaming herself for what happened, as she believed that she should've been on Tenrou Island with the rest of her friends. That if she hadn't gotten sick, she could've been there to help them, if she'd just been stronger…
Wendy couldn't keep it in anymore as she curled up into a ball and cried over the loss of her friends and family. With Carla looking at her sadly before moving over and hugging her, not wanting to leave the bluenette alone.
While the rest of Fairy Tail also mourned the devastating loss, one more brutal than they've ever known. Several members also wondering, what were they going to do now, without their strongest members.
So, what did you think, good. Yep we start things off just before the S-Class Trials, only to see Wendy's come down with a stomach flu, preventing her from participating in the Trials. With the others offering comforting words, and even Natsu promising they'll have their own S-Class Trials when they get back, much to Erza's and Lucy's chagrin while he and Gray bump heads over it.
Before we then see things taking a turn for the worse as we go to Tenrou Island after Grimoire Heart's been defeated, only for Acnologia to soon arrive and attack. Things only getting worse as Makarov stays behind to hold him off for the others to escape, only for them to return help, which leads to Acnologia gaining an opening to blast a hole through Makarov's chest, much to everyone's horror. With it only getting worse as he then transforms into his human form and quickly kills Natsu and Happy, Gajeel, Laxus, and the Thunder Legion.
With the death of several of their comrades driving everyone else to pain, sadness, despair, and also rage, splitting the remain Mages between those that want to fight and avenge their comrades, and those that want to run. With Erza, Gray, Lucy, and Levy attacking Acnologia with a Unison Raid, only for him to shrug it off and attack Erza, insulting their belief that just because they work together they think they're strong and could stand against him, that they aren't strong only brave, and bravery will only take them, so far.
Before we see Acnologia attempt to kill Erza, only for Gildarts to return and save, battling Acnologia for a short time but is ultimately kill as well. Much to Cana's pain and sadness at losing her father after finally revealing herself, making her blame Erza and the others for his death because they chose to stay behind. Acnologia then returns to his Dragon form to finish them, killing Elfman in the process when he sacrifices himself to save his sisters, with everyone believing this is the end for them.
But then we see Igneel and Metalicana emerge and attack Acnologia, which gives Mavis enough time to cast Fairy Sphere, saving the Mages that are left. Though as they were unable to absorb as much Ethernano as in canon, Igneel and Metalicana soon fall, unable to even take one of Acnologia's arms with them. With the Rune Knights moving in once Acnologia is gone, taking the Dragon's bodies with them before leaving.
Finally we see Fairy Tail learning of what's happened, much to everyone's pain and sorrow, believing that their Master and strongest members were now dead. With Wendy feeling the worst, blaming herself for not being with everyone, believing she could've made a difference, that if she was stronger she could've been able to help. Before she begins crying over her lost friends and family, with Carla doing her best to comfort her. So, for those that like the story, thanks for your support.
