Hello all! I am back from a *very* extended leave from writing. Before I left I asked you all a question, who should Percy be with in my next fanfiction? I have heard your calls and I am here to provide. To gently get myself in the swing of things this will be a oneshot unless y'all ask real nice.
Okay here we go, I am *nervous*
Internal thoughts
"Telepathic conversations"
I am Perseus Jackson, Son of Poseidon, Hero of Olympus…
….and a total dweeb
Percy Jackson was, interesting to say the least, the gods went from disliking him to almost…adoring him. For saving their butts on more than one occasion, much to the distain of some of them *cough*Ares*cough*. The goddesses threw themselves at him, and the demigods did the same. He was The Percy Jackson.
It was a surprisingly lonely life for our adventurer, the friends he travelled the world with moved on. Found their loves, decided to stay at camp Jupiter and Annabeth…
Oh Annabeth, she was furious with him.
I don't blame her, just when we finally got together the gods stuck their noses in it
"Quite rude of you Perseus, I told you I would make your love life interesting"
Percy scrunched up his face with distaste at Aphrodite's voice in his head. He tried to think of what to do. After they saved the world (again) and came back to camp she hasn't spoken to me. The night on the ship where he had thought they reconnected seemed like a fantasy now. He had turned down godhood for her.
What was eternity and immortality if he didn't have his Wise Girl?
He was clueless, every time he walked over to the Athena Cabin or went to Olympus where she worked, people told him she wasn't there. That she must be at the other place, he was getting tired. Gaia was gone, he could feasibly live a semi normal life outside the camps, and he wanted to spend that life with his Wise Girl.
"Whatcha moping' about Seaweed Brain?" Thalia said from behind him.
Where he was indeed sitting and throwing himself a pity party on the beach during supper. The beach was his safe place, the waves gently caressing the shore and the soothing sound of rushing waves and the splashes of life lurking in the deep. It enchanted him, drew him to the waters edge.
"I am not moping, Pinecone Face. What're you doing here anyway? Aren't the hunters in Vermont or something?" He questioned as she sat next to him in the sand.
Briefly looking at his friend he saw the difference from when he met the dark girl, she looked so very tired now (despite her youthful appearance). Her Emo aesthetic still intact, though the streak in her hair was now fiery red. Her electrifying eyes looked sad, with the silence he wondered, "You okay?"
A single tear slipped down her face, "No, are you?"
He shook his head, jet black hair falling into his ocean eyes. "No…wanna talk about it?"
She snapped back, "Gettin' mushy on me Cuz'?"
He let out a mirthless laugh, "Of course not, I would never" he grabbed his chest, as if offended.
They sat in silence for a while, each lost in their thoughts. Thalia broke the silence as the sun set over the ocean.
"You know Annabeth is still crazy about you right?" She said as if she could read his mind.
Shrugging he responded, "Maybe, but she's been avoiding me for months thals. She's my forever girl, I don't know what to do without her here."
I am turning into such a girl with mushy thoughts. And que Thalia gagging…
All Percy heard from his companion was a longing sigh. "I left the hunters Percy, I met someone. But Percy you must try, you want her? Go get her, I think she will be here before lights out." Half a smirk appeared on her face.
"Who is the lucky man? Or woman, I don't judge." He threw his hands up in surrender, tucking the other information in his head.
She shook her head, "They probably don't even know that I exist, at the moment anyway."
"Thalia Grace? The impatient queen? Waiting? Someone tell the press!" His joke appeared to fall flat as she retreated into her thoughts.
What am I going to say to Annabeth?
Will she even listen to me?
It hit him harder than Ares' shield….
He knew what to do.
A/N: 'till I see you again folks, this has been sitting on my desktop for literal months.
