Bloom and Stella walked into the gates of Alfea, joining the flood of students. Bloom looked around in awe, it looked even better and even more magical than it did in the postcard, she couldn't help but wonder how. It looked so much bigger too, daunting even.
"This place is gorgeous!" She couldn't help but breathe out.
"Don't let it distract you, this will be your life now," Her friend shouted, her orange dress, from before, twinkling, "Now please can we hurry up, I need to change out of this dress!"
Bloom continued to follow Stella, taking in her surroundings, the place that would hopefully become her new home. She took in the people, or well the fairies, they all looked, well normal. Which was odd, because every other magical being she had met outside of here had glowed, was that because they were in a place that didn't have magic like their homes did? But she looked back at Stella, and realized she looked almost normal. Her outfit was still sparkling in such an eye-catching way and her hair was still ridiculously long, but other than that she looked very normal. Like the people on earth. Like her friends and family. Other than this tall, middle aged looking woman, with short brown hair and a fringe. She wore turquoise and her skirt was ankle length, and left everything to the imagination. Other than her screeching.
"Well, that is the one person you will probably come to despise," Stella said, distaste coloring her words.
"Who is that?" She asked, stopping to allow Kiko, who had been trailing behind, to catch up to her and Stella.
"Miss Griselda, Head of Discipline, and someone in desperate need of a makeover," Stella said, looking towards said teacher with disgust, "I'm pretty sure she's been wearing the same turquoise pinafore and shirt since she was born."
"She looks scary," Bloom noticed, taking in the look on her face, a sneer at the girl she was looking at before looking down sharply at her clipboard, tiny red glasses almost falling all the way off her nose.
"She sounds it too," Stella laughed, before wincing at said sound, "Come on, Bloom, we need to sign in."
"Right, of course," Bloom replied, matching her strides with Stella (a task more difficult than anticipated, she'd almost forgotten how short she was, or maybe Stella was just that tall).
"Next." A voice drawled out, the same screech from a minute or two again, "Name."
"Elanor of DeLona," A girl with dark skin and blue hair said softly, "I signed up online, I should be on there."
The lady repeated the name multiple times, eyes scanning through her lists, with her feet tapping to a rhythm, "I do not see it, and you know what we do to those who falsely try to enter our school. We turn you into a-"
"It's only one 'l' miss," The girl said, quietly.
"Oh right, there you are, well off you go, you need not be late to our first assembly," Griselda shouted.
"Shit! Stella, I'm not on the list!" Bloom gritted through her teeth, looking between Stella and Griselda.
"No worries, honey, I've got everything planned!" Stella exclaimed, smugly, "A friend of mine, I suppose, Princess Varanda of Callisto decided she didn't want to come here anymore (who knows why) and gave me this letter," Stella explained, while waving her hand in a small circle, making the letter appear."
"Let me look at that!" Bloom said, snatching it and reading through it, "She's not coming here anymore? So am I going to be stealing her place?"
"Well, yes," Stella said, snatching the letter back, "She asked me to hand the letter to Headmistress Faragonda, who you'll love by the way, and I just won't," She shrugged, "You'll be the Princess of Callisto! Nobody knows what she looks like, anyway, well I don't think they do," Stella thought aloud.
"Oh great! So not only am I going to be lying about my identity while I'm here, I've got to pretend to be a fairy princess too," Bloom said, tone pitched much lower than her usual voice.
Stella nodded, before tearing the letter into tiny shreds so it couldn't be pieced together again, and so that it wouldn't be decipherable.
"Next," Griselda said loudly.
"Hey, Miss G!" Stella shouted, taking charge allowing Bloom to take a backseat in the interaction for now.
"Not long enough, Princess Stella," Griselda sneered down at her, "How you were allowed to return is beyond me?"
Stella, while still remaining confident shrunk into herself almost unnoticeably, replied sarcastically, "Oh, hmm let me think. Oh! Of course! My parents buying the entirely new laboratory and computer lab."
Griselda growled, before turning to Bloom, "And who is your friend?"
"Princess of Callisto, Varanda," Stella announced, nudging Bloom.
"Ah, Princess of Callisto, you are allowed in, as are you Princess Stella," Griselda replied, "Join your fellow classmates in the assembly hall, where you will meet your Headmistress."
Bloom called back, "Thank you!" As she was dragged away by Stella.
"See, I told you so," Stella smirked smugly, as she slithered her way through the many people surrounding the door leading to what (Bloom assumed) was the assembly hall.
Bloom couldn't help but wonder what had happened to cause Stella to be kicked out last year, she wouldn't ask her though, noticing how her confidence faltered as Griselda brought it up, the same way her demeanor changed as Sky (who was Stella's boyfriend, maybe?) brought it up back on earth. A sense of shock overcame her as she realized how much her life had taken a turn, just a few days ago she thought herself to be human, but then yesterday her powers came up front and well today, today she was attending a school for fairies.
They reached the hall, and found seats not too far from anyone else, but still a respectable distance. They waited a few minutes for everyone to get their seats. Not long after everyone had, the door slammed. And thunderous steps made their way to the center of the room, being in view of everyone as it was a circular based hall, the 'stage' (if it could be called that) was in the middle.
"First things first, you will follow all rules of the Code of Behavior," Griselda growled, voice echoing through the entirety of the room, "If you break the rules once, you will be turned into a toad," She continued, annunciating each word, "If you proceed to break the rules twice, your magical privileges will be revoked fully, for as long as we deem fit. Finally, if you dare break the rules for a third time, well, your place at this school will be taken away."
Bloom couldn't help but release a sigh as the woman appeared to stop talking.
That was before Griselda pointed towards Stella with scary accuracy to say, "Isn't that right, Princess Stella?"
Bloom looked towards Stella, who looked a mixture between embarrassed, mortified and scared. Stella quickly composed herself and opened her mouth, before another door opened. Out stepped a petite elderly woman, who looked on at Griselda in amusement, she was shaking her head and walking slowly to take the other woman's place. She wore black glasses that rested on her nose, a long sleeved pink t-shirt with a navy jacket over the top of it, a long pink skirt that reached between her ankles and knees and had ruffles and finally she had high heeled black shoes, that didn't really add much to the woman's height. She had her hair styled up in the oddest way, and Bloom couldn't help but wonder how much gel that took to remain. Her eyes were dark blue behind her glasses, and she looked so kind. Bloom didn't really know how or why, but she knew that this woman was Headmistress Faragonda.
Griselda was unaware of her superior joining her and kept droning on, "That brings me to the first rule: no unauthorized or unsupervised magic use."
"Is that what you did?" Bloom couldn't help but ask.
Stella looked resigned and just shrugged, looking from Bloom back to the two people in the center.
Griselda was still seemingly unaware of her superior's arrival, "We believe discipline is the only thing able to prepare you for the world ahead of you. That reminds me of the last thing," She said, her voice becoming (somehow) even more stern, "You will not under any circumstances interact with the school of the witches: Cloud Tower and the witches that reside there. I can assure you that they will bring about an even worse punishment than you could possibly imagine if they so much as smell any traces of a fairy."
The Headmistress coughed.
"Headmistress Faragonda!" The tough teacher spluttered.
"I hope you haven't scared our new students away," She said, before turning to the fairies around her, "Now if she hasn't scared you, I would appreciate it if you would join me for a tour around our school, so we can give out timetables and your room assignments."
They began the tour.
The outside had created the impression that the school would almost be childish, with the pastel colors, but the inside it was as though it was an entirely different school. It looked as though it had been around for centuries, perhaps it had, and reminded Bloom of a library or where her middle school class trips would often be. It had an air of grandeur, while still giving off the waves of magic everything else seemed to do, compared to what she had felt on earth. All the corridors were of wooden flooring it seemed, with matching beams against white walls traveling to the ceiling, there was red carpet in the middle of the corridor flooring, as though it was a runway. Even though it seemed almost normal, Bloom couldn't help but think it was beautiful.
Throughout the tour, they visited classrooms (some looked ordinary, however others were so different, specifically the labs), the library (where they were taught how to use the magical searcher) and then brought to where dorms were based.
Headmistress Faragonda explained how there were to be five or six people per room, where there would be twin suites and even single suites for those who were lucky enough (or were of royal birth). Then with a flick of her wrist, they were each given a key with their room number and name. Bloom couldn't help but realize that even the keys gave off a magical aura.
"And so our orientation has come to an end, however I would just like to say a few things, advice if you will," The lady announced, "Becoming a fairy can and will be incredibly difficult sometimes, but know that I have the utmost faith in each of you, you will all do great things. Whether that be: fighting evil, granting wishes or even taking over control of your realms, me and your teachers will do anything we can to assist you. Now, before I dismiss you all, please let me remind you to steer clear of the witches of Cloud Tower. That's all I have to stay, so find your rooms and please do explore Alfea and Magix if you desire."
And with that the two women left with nothing else to say.
"You'll like Faragonda, she's a complete dream, especially compared to Griselda, although that may be because she used to be a Fairy Godmother, or at least that's one of the stories," Stella pondered, before looking at her key, "What's your dorm number?"
Bloom looked down at said key, "Dorm 112?"
Stella lightened up, grabbing Bloom's wrist dragging her to one of the stairwells, "Looks like we'll be sharing a room! It's the same room I had last year, I've got a single and you'll have an actual roommate! How exciting is that?"
Bloom was almost taken aback by Stella's sudden burst of energy, but she instead decided to take it in stride instead. The stairs were incredibly high and Bloom couldn't help but hope that she'd get used to them, she wouldn't consider herself as someone who was very interested in exercise or sports in general.
They arrived and Stella stopped before a door, it was a dark green on its frames and the glass within it was also almost textured glass (still green). The door creaked open and Stella squealed. She looked around, and was greatly disappointed, it looked so plain. She vocalized these opinions, getting a scoff from Stella and a mumble of 'decorating'.
Bloom was still disappointed, she'd thought it would have looked like something from the fairy tales, not just an average dorm room with a funky door. She hoped her room would be somewhat better.
She walked further into the door room and it still looked somewhat average, however she did see a balcony that did look beautiful.
"Come on, Bloom, it looks like we're the first ones here," Stella said to her walking to where (Bloom assumed) the rooms were, "Yours is there, and mine is just a bit further up at the end of the hall and then the other people where rooming with are right across the hall from you," Stella continued pointing as she was talking, "Now I'll make sure everything I transported is here."
"Alright, have fun," Bloom said, knowing just how boring unpacking actually was.
She watched Stella walk to her room and went to her door, there was a sheet of paper on the doors. The paper had neat cursive writing on it, saying 'Flora and Varanda', Bloom would just have to remember her 'name' and the fact she was a pretend princess. She opened the doors and looked around her room, it wasn't as plain as the main room, it already had plants all over its area and Bloom realized her roommate had most likely arrived. She wondered whether the plants were magical, although she had to guess probably not as most of the things she had seen were just like the items back home on earth. She took a step forward ready to unpack her suitcase with minimal clothes, but as she did she heard a yelp.
"Oh sorry!" She replied to the thing she'd bumped into, she noticed it was a plant.
"No, don't be! I just got here and well all my stuff is everywhere, as you can probably tell," A girl said, walking from one of the closets she had noticed in the room, "He's one of my latest creations: a talking plant! Cute right?"
"Yeah! I guess you're Flora then? I'm Bl-" She started, before Stella seemingly appeared out of nowhere coughing, "Right, I am Varanda," She corrected, briefly walking back to double check the name she saw mere minutes ago upon walking in.
Flora had crouched down, giving the plant a gentle chin scratch as it was perched on the table, "Well lovely to meet you, Varanda!"
"Yeah you too, Flora!" Bloom smiled, glad she'd been stuck with such a sweet roommate.
Flora then stood up but in the process she knocked the table down where the plant had been based, "Oh whoopsie!"
The plant groaned in response.
Then a voice appeared behind the trio, just beyond Flora and Bloom's door, "Callisto, huh? Fourth world of Magic Realms Upper Ring, that's a long way away!"
"Oh hello!" Bloom responded, learning more about her supposed home planet.
"Hi, my name is Tecna," The girl replied, a somewhat grimacing smile decorating her face
"Hi Tecna, I'm Stella!" Stella said, moving towards the other girl.
"Oh? Princess Stella? I've heard about you," Tecna said, eyes studying the tall blonde.
"Me too! Please, before you blow something up, give us a warning, so we can duck and cover," A third girl said from behind, in the main room, "I'm Musa."
Stella's face hardened, "It was an accident if you're so desperate to find out more."
"An accident that got you expelled? How did you manage to become readmitted?" Tecna asked, curiously.
Stella's face did a complete change, from tense features to a relaxed smile, "Well, in all honesty, they probably couldn't deny someone as amazing as me."
Everybody laughed, and as they did so Bloom took in everyone's appearances.
The first girl she'd officially met since she'd arrived was Flora, she had tanned skin and long honey brown hair (though not quite as long as Stella's) but her fringe was a dark blonde. She was taller than Bloom, perhaps by a few inches, but certainly not the tallest (though that seemed hard with Stella as a roommate). She wore a green crop top with puffy sleeves and a skirt that was decorated with strawberries, with fuschia sandals and gold bracelets on each of her wrists. Her eyes were a deep, forest green almost contrasting the rest of her, but Bloom couldn't help but think they suited her perfectly.
Tecna was different, in that she certainly rivaled Stella in height (perhaps if Stella took off her heels she would be taller, though Stella didn't seem the type to do so). She had magenta coloured hair in a pixie cut with a fringe, she had teal eyes and very fair skin (though certainly not the palest). She wore a matching set of tracksuit bottoms and a sleeveless crop top with a zip, both a green and deep purple in color.
The last girl she had met looked as though she would have been of Asian descent had she been from earth, she had dark blue eyes and either blue or black hair (Bloom wasn't entirely sure). She wore a one shoulder crop top that was red, she also had low rise jeans on showcasing her toned stomach. She also had red trainers on with white laces, that perhaps could do with a touch up. However, the most important thing (Bloom thought at least) was that Musa was slightly shorter than Bloom.
Even Stella's outfit had changed to something much more casual, now wearing clothes much duller than her dazzling orange dress. A green halter crop top, an orange skirt decorated with a yellow belt with circles dangling and some green wedges. Even her tiara had been replaced with a lilac headband.
Before anybody could think to return to the conversation, a panicked squeak came from her and Flora's room. They rushed into the room a few paces away and saw the talking plant holding Kiko much higher from the ground.
"Put him down right now!" Flora scolded, walking over to the plant hands on her hips.
"No, Flora, it's alright don't scold your plant! Kiko was probably trying to eat it," Bloom said, embarrassed, reaching over to snatch her bunny back.
Flora looked over to the bunny, scanning it before smiling, "You hungry, little guy?" Flora asked, grabbing a pot and sprinkling it with what looked like a spell, "Here you go!"
Bloom looked on in amazement, as carrots grew from the pot out of nowhere.
"Speaking of food, how about we eat out tonight? A way of celebrating our new school year," Stella suggested to everyone.
Everybody hummed in agreement, sharing the idea that it'd be a good way to get to know eachother better and get used to each other. So they went off to the bus outside of Alfea, which stopped off in multiple places of Magix.
"So Varanda, you've never left your home planet?" Flora asked from inside their bus, which was just preparing to stop.
"No never," Bloom replied.
"Well prepared to be amazed," Flora giggled.
They exited the bus, walking a few paces with Tecna covering Bloom's eyes, "Can I look now?" Bloom asked.
Tecna chuckled excitedly, "Yeah, go ahead take a look!"
With her eyes available for looking around, she excitedly darted her eyes around prepared for a magical, breath-taking sight. She was immensely disappointed. It just looked like a further developed version of the City's on Earth, maybe a little bit more colorful (though Bloom thought that was a generous comparison).
"So…What do you think?" Musa asked
"In all honesty, I'm kinda disappointed," Bloom said, the others blinking back at her blankly.
"Why?" Flora probed.
"Well I was expecting it to be more magical you know? I mean it's the City of Magix, Capital of the entire Magic Dimension, most enchanted place in the dimension right? I was expecting dragons, gnomes, wizards, shops full of magical artifacts? Not this: flying cars and funky shaped buildings," Bloom snapped.
"Well that sounds silly," Tecna said shortly, almost as though she was offended.
"That sounds more fairytale-like, magic is everywhere, it fuels everything, everything lives off its own magical energy," Stella explained.
Bloom took it in, before she felt a large gust of wind she noticed to be one of those flying cars, "HEY! Watch where you're go-? Wow," Bloom said, her rage cut off as she saw the man inside wiggle his fingers and the cars below him separate, allowing a new parking spot to be made.
"Now who wants food?" Flora asked.
"What do we say about pizza?" Bloom suggested, before realizing her place when she saw the looks of confusion, "Er…it's the national dish of Callisto? More or less," She finished off lamely.
Knut was in Magix City by himself, looking for a new pair of glasses. He wanted something that made him less like a dorky ogre (he didn't want to be bullied like his cousin, though with his mistresses, he didn't think that could be stopped). He was currently being helped by the owner of the shop (he assumed), he was an elf he thought and he didn't give off much magic if at all. Knut decided he liked that, it was almost calming, much nicer than the energy his majesties radiated.
"Here we have some frames with let's say, a bit more attitude," The owner said to him, passing him a pair on the shelves to him.
He tried them on, they weren't bad, he liked them. They were a similar purple to his dungarees and the framing wasn't too thick. He was about to ask how much when he saw five figures. Namely two of them, one tall with blonde hair and the other short with fiery red hair.
"Did you see them?" Knut had to ask.
"Who?"
"Those girls," Knut couldn't help but stutter back.
"Oh yeah," He replied, smiling.
"One a princess with long blonde hair," Knut continued.
The guy just kept repeating 'Oh yeah!' his voice getting louder and cheerier each time, Knut wasn't normally one to judge but he certainly thought the shop owner was odd.
"Okay thanks!" Knut said, before running off he needed to call his highnesses, they were in Magix they could deal with the fairies this time, Knut thought happily.
"HEY! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?" The owner shouted, Knut noticed, much angrier than before, demeanor completely transformed.
He pulled out his phone from one of his many pockets, before dialing the number and hiding in an alleyway.
They picked up straight away, and it was the blue one that responded. Knut didn't know whether he'd just forgotten their names or whether he'd even been told, "Hello," She said in a sing-song way, yet still somewhat coldly.
"Er? Hi," Knut said.
"Oh," Her voice changed, more annoyed now, "What is it you want?"
He explained the situation as best and as fast as he could.
"Really? That's almost too good to be true, thank you Knut, I'm surprised you managed to do a job this simple," She said, before her tone shifted, raising ever so slightly, "Now. You better not have lied to us because we need that scepter. Understood?"
And before he could reply, the call ended.
The food was delicious, much more suited to her palette than stuff back home in Gardenia, Bloom suspected that was because she was a magical being herself, maybe the food was magical. She realized how far fetched that sounded, but it was the most logical reasoning she could come up with. Everyone else also seemed to agree with her opinion on the food as their plates were clean as well, she figured now that everyone had finished dinner, she could try and call her parents without appearing rude.
She tapped her mom's contact number and pressed the call button. Nothing happened. She tried a few more times, even changing to her dad's phone number and then even her house phone. Growling, she banged her phone against the table before lifting her phone around trying to get any signal.
"You alright there, Varanda?" Musa asked, looking on with visible amusement.
"Yep," Bloom grunted, her reaction only slightly behind, as it took her a moment to remember her new name, "My phone isn't working, I try the number and then it just doesn't call."
"Here, let me take a look, it is my speciality," Tecna said, looking slightly worried for the piece of technology, taking one look at it Tecna burst out into laughter.
The other four looked on in amusement and worry, unsure whether this was normal behavior from the girl, Musa was the only to voice the question they were all thinking, "So, Tec, what's so funny?"
"This phone belongs in a museum," She stated matter of factly, any traces of laughter gone.
"But, it's the newest model," Bloom muttered, slightly peeved she'd been laughed at for her apparently 'ancient' phone.
Stella leaned towards Bloom, she whispered, "On Earth maybe!"
"You need an inter-realm to call Callisto," Musa supplied helpfully.
"There's one just over there, you can use my card, as an apology for laughing," Tecna said, almost stilted.
"Thanks, now where is it?" Bloom couldn't help but ask, looking around for something resembling a phone-box, she assumed that's what it would look like.
"We'll walk you, there's a beautiful fountain we can hang around while we wait," Flora said, lightly.
The trip was short, as like Tecna said it was 'just over there', and there was a fountain, which while was a good fit for the area, it wasn't beautiful like Flora had said. The inter-realm phone was what she was most impressed with, it was small and patterned on the inside, a light blue being the main color with darker blue swirls decorating the entirety of the inside. The door was also glass with not a scratch or crack insight.
Bloom inserted the card lended to her and she looked at her mobile and dialed the house number, waiting a second for her mom to pick up. Her mother's voice entered her ear, "Bloom is that you? Are you alright?"
"Yes mom! I just thought I'd check in, let you know what's going on I guess," Bloom trailed off.
"Yeah? Well what's it like?"
"Great! I love it! I'm sharing a room with four girls - one being Stella - and they all seem really nice, Magix is really cool and my actual school is beautiful, it looks so magical," Bloom replied, looking outside the box.
"When do you start classes, Sweetie?" Vanessa asked her, probing for a little more information.
"Tomorrow at 8 I think? We haven't been given a timetable just yet," Bloom said, still staring before noticing a familiar figure, the yellowish ogre from last night. She wasn't listening to her mom anymore, she needed to check what was going on, she didn't want to be attacked yet again, "Listen, mom, I need to go, I'll call again soon and give a big kiss to dad from me, please. I love you."
"I love you too, Bloom, but why the sudden urgency to leave," Vanessa asked.
"Erm, I'm borrowing a card to talk to you and well I don't want to spend too much," Bloom explained, thinking that to be a reasonable excuse, she said her goodbye one last time before leaving the box and following after the ogre.
She watched him creep around, seeing him watch her friends, before taking a few more turns to an alleyway. She heard his steps stop, but she knew she had to be careful, she was alone and if he attacked she wasn't sure she could fend him off without any support. Stepping around the final corner, she crouched down behind some bins in the alleyway.
"Well, Knut," A cold, sharp voice snapped, "Do you have anything to share?"
"The blonde girl, with the scepter, is in the square, with her friends," Knut said.
Another voice appeared, it was soft and silky, but Bloom couldn't hear a word she said, and she couldn't see a thing, "Move you big oath, I can't see a thing," Bloom couldn't help but mutter, she giggled triumphantly when he did, she saw three girls with him. All wearing similar leather outfits.
One (the middle one) was tall, a similar height to Stella perhaps even taller, and she had long white hair in a ponytail. Her outfit was a skin-tight bodysuit, that was a dark turquoise and also had a cape. She had dark blue makeup underneath her piercing blue eyes.
The one to her left was also tall but slightly shorter, she had a similar bodysuit that was instead in purple with no cape. Her hair was long and brown and she had strands framing her face, which were a dirty blonde color. She also had makeup underneath her eyes, which were a dark purple.
The other one, the final one, was the shortest of the three and she had brilliant blue hair shaped like a cloud. Her outfit was of the same material but was more of a short dress, it was of a magenta color with matching tights. She also had makeup like the other girls, underneath her eyes.
They each had letters on belts, 'S', 'I' and 'D', Bloom assumed those were the beginning letters of their names, but couldn't ponder more as the purple one appeared behind her pushing her towards the three of them (Bloom wondered why there were two of them).
"Like our little trick," The tallest one asked snidely, leaning down towards Bloom.
Bloom refused to go down without a fight, she had used magic before, she was entirely sure she could do it again, "I am a fairy," She said, hardly, expecting a powerful blast to follow her proclamation, but instead only a few sparkles came from her hand, she laughed nervously.
"You call that magic, we'll show you magic, little pixie," The blue one said, pushing her arms towards Bloom, trapping her in an ice cage.
"Good one, Icy," The purple one laughed, pushing her arms out in a similar fashion, purple circles though now making their way to Bloom. When they hit her, Bloom felt dazed and confused, as though she had undergone a concussion.
The magenta one growled, not saying a word but releasing a mini tornado towards Bloom, causing her to be thrown up onto the nearest building.
Bloom was panicking, she hoped her friends would notice her absence sooner rather than later.
"Get back here! I'm not done with you yet," She heard, she thought it was the blue one as she got dragged down, as she felt the familiar chill of ice she'd experienced from the cage.
Before she was fully encased, she heard a familiar voice, "Hey! Leave her alone, take us instead!"
"Pathetic, Knut they're all yours," She heard.
Knut (the ogre) growled charging towards the four girls where they then split up, before a blinding light shone.
A few seconds later, they all came back down, glittering obnoxiously compared to the darkness of the alleyway.
Stella was in the same fairy outfit she had been in previously.
Flora's hair remained down, but her outfit was a dress that had dark pink and light pink, her skirt almost resembled that of a tulip. She also had heels on that were a matching dark pink, with light pink add on sleeves. She also had a green band around her neck with a pink flower. Her wings were green and resembled leaves.
Musa was in a red outfit, she had a one shouldered crop top like Stella with a skirt, but they were connected by a mesh like material, she also had knee high boots and her entire outfit was red. In addition she also had two arm bands and some purple headphones rested on her head. Her wings were blue, and were almost insect-like.
Tecna's outfit was a full body suit that was a nice lilac color, with light blue sleeves and boots (the only things not shining). She had a pointed hood like thing on her head with a green gem in the center and on her chest. Her wings were the most interesting as when they were inactive, they were in the form of green handles, but while active, they transformed into a triangular type hand glider.
The magenta one, looked on in realization, "That's the girl with the scepter!"
With all of them transformed, they felt able and ready to take on the ogre. While fighting, there was no structure or teamwork, they each simply did a spell one after each other.
Tecna went first, she shouted, "Static Sphere!" Green netting heading towards Knut, with an electrical charge, surrounding him like a prison, causing him to panic, banging from the inside trying to reach through the holes in an attempt to do anything.
"Sonic Blast!" Musa announced, two pink speakers appearing either side of Knut blasting out loud music, that gave off visible sound waves, the ogre shouted recoiling in on himself and covering his ears.
Flora went last, waiting for the two other spells to disappear before calling, "Golden Pollen!" That moved itself as though it were fairy dust before turning into a green vine and wrapping around Knut before sending him up into the sky.
With little remorse, the blue witch rolled her eyes, "What a blockhead," Before turning to her opponents, "Now, our turn." Releasing little ice shards each aimed towards the fairies.
"Everyone behind me! Firewall!" Tecna ordered, before putting up a solid green shield that deflected some of the ice and even shattered other shards.
"My turn sisters," The one with the cloud-like hair said, before releasing a single lilac lightning bolt that shattered the shield pushing each of the fairies back from impact.
"Now for the finishing touch," The tallest said.
Stella breathed heavily, looking around her feeling drained, she needed to get them all back to Alfea, to safety. She stood up on shaky legs, "SOLARIA!" The ring transformed into her scepter and she announced their leaving, "Come on, I'll get us back." And with one final cry of lifting it up, they had teleported back near to school grounds.
This left the three young women alone in an ice-covered alleyway courtesy of Icy's last blow.
Stella opened her eyes, feeling more drained and wanting to transform back like the other girls seemed to have done. But she noticed Bloom, shivering and she couldn't allow one of her newest friends to freeze themselves to death just yet. She crawled over to her, before propping the shorter girl onto her lap to transport some of her energy over to Bloom to heat her up.
"Bloom, you alright?" Stella asked, as she noticed the girl wake up a bit more, "It's okay, you're safe. For an Earthling, I must admit you did very well, Bloom!"
"Stella!" The three other girls chorused, before Flora continued solo, "Is there something we need to know about 'Bloom of Callisto'?"
Looking at their furious faces, Stella laughed nervously, "I may have been fibbing a tad about her backstory you see, well, er," She sighed, giving in, "I'll explain on the way to Alfea."
Bloom shook her head, laughing along nervously before standing up on shaky legs as Stella transformed back to her more human-like form before they set off. As a group, they had a steady stroll back to Alfea, Stella not teleporting them too far away from the school.
Stella peeked her head into school grounds, announcing the coast to be clear, before she took a few steps with the rest following her in. Only for a bright spotlight to shine on them, with Griselda and Faragonda following the spotlight towards the group not long after.
"And what time is this, ladies?" Griselda asked, eyebrow raising intimidatingly.
"We were worried sick," Faragonda added.
"I mean, I don't think you said curfews earlier, so I mean who is there to really blame," Stella laughed, looking around at the other girls shaking their heads.
Faragonda rolled her eyes, before ushering them to bed, "We'll give you a refresher of the rules tomorrow."
"Not so fast, Princess Varanda, is there something you wish to tell us?" Griselda said, stepping in front of Bloom.
Bloom sighed, "I'm Bloom and I'm from Earth."
Grinning triumphantly, Griselda walked towards Bloom, "You deceived us! I knew it, you are not a true princess."
"True," Faragonda replied, contemplating, "She is a magical creature though, or the barrier would have stopped her, why did you not tell us your real name."
"Well I come from a small town on Earth, and I've always wanted to-" Bloom started =, before she was interrupted.
"Outside the Realm of Magix, impossible," Griselda scoffed.
"Please, I beg of you to let me stay, I've always wanted to be a fairy and well I can make my dream come true now and just please!" Bloom cried, the girls giving a chorus of 'aw's'.
"You lied to us," Griselda pointed out.
"She has a dream, Griselda, and she showed a great amount of tenacity, a quality every great fairy should possess, right?" Faragonda countered.
"Yes ma'am," Griselda said, shocked.
"Now off to bed all of you!" Faragonda said, as she watched them walk away, before turning to Griselda, "I thought there were no fairies left on Earth."
"Me neither, it was said they had disappeared long ago," Griselda replied.
"Who is Bloom then?"
The girls were settled in Flora and Bloom's room, each ready for bed, but listening to Bloom's idea of a name.
"The Winx? Us? If we are to be a group, I say we need a name!" Bloom said, in response to the confusion displayed on her friends' faces.
"It is a good idea, it makes it easier for quick reference about us," Tecna said in support.
"Yes! Yes! The Five! No! The Super Five! Or wait! The Stella Five! Wait, I've got it! The Airy Fairies!" Stella exclaimed.
"I'm sorry, the what?" Musa laughed.
"Well it rhymes and it's short and sweet and catchy!" Stella explained.
"I vote for Winx!" Flora said, everyone other than Stella agreeing.
"Great, because we have a logo!" Bloom said, excitedly presenting her work.
"That's great and all but what does Winx actually mean?" Tecna asked, in confusion.
Bloom smiled and said, "You know just Winx!" While doing jazz hands towards Tecna, causing everyone to laugh.
