B&B OF LOVE AND FUN-21

Hello dear people. Nice to be with you again. Thank you for all your reviews, posted in spite of technical issues with the page. I really appreciate it. I can't believe, that this story already has 21 chapters. It's so nice to write it for you and I hope, that I will have a little bit of inspiration to write some more. Recent chapters had a lot of love, so to balance, this chapter will be more about fun. Exactly how the title says. Hope you will like it.

It's been only three days, since the first newlyweds started their honeymoon in the B&B and Elsie felt a great deal of sympathy to those wonderful, young people. Mr and Mrs Rochester, decided to start their new life in a small village of Downton Abbey, away from all the frequently visited places, in other parts of the country.

They were young, good looking and clearly in love with each other. Just before they arrived, Beryl had her usual fear, connected to the fact, that they may not be a real married couple, as learning from her previous, bad experiences, she simply couldn't get rid of the fear, of being ridiculed again.

However as the young couple arrived, she has quickly forgot about her fears, as it was obvious, that they are not some sneaking and lying couple, but simply two people, who were very much in love with each other.

Elsie, Beryl and Katie, found it extremely adorable and romantic and did the best they could, from the beginning of their visit, to let them know, how welcome they are in the B&B. It wasn't difficult task to do, as both of them were so nice and kind and absolutely enchanted with the village, the B&B itself and the service that they were getting. Neither of the women minded, that the couple had absolutely no problems with expressing their feelings, in front of their eyes, in a way, that had been far from the usual English self-restraint.

Especially for Beryl and Elsie, it was natural, to see how the young couple wanted to be with each other all the time, how they didn't stop themselves from kisses and delicate touches, which happened not only in the privacy of their room, but also in the dining room, or in the living room.

Beryl was sighing with dreaminess, wondering, if soon she will be in a similar situation..She also made sure, that Katie would not be a frequent witness of those things, because just like Charles, Beryl was rather conservative person and she believed, that some things were not meant to be seen by a young girl.

As for Elsie, she was definitely more understanding. Elsie was walking through her life, with a perfect understanding of human nature, with all of it's imperfections.

Because the couple came to their B&B straight from their wedding reception, greeted with champagne by all three of them, which was Elsie's idea, Elsie realized, that their wedding night will take place in the B&B and she smiled discreetly, seeing how eager the groom was, to be left alone with his new wife.

Being wise as she always was, Elsie was the one who was changing the sheets in the newlyweds room, instead of leaving this to Katie, as she usually did, assuming, that the sheets may show some proof, that it was indeed the first intimate night in the life of the young couple. She wasn't mistaken and things that were not propriate for Katie's eyes, stayed hidden.

As for Charles, he was the one who had the biggest problem, with the couple being so open about their feelings in public. Elsie couldn't even count, how many times he went to her and reported, that he has just seen them kissing, touching, or doing anything else, which was outreaching the barriers of Charles Carson orderly world.

Elsie tried to be tolerant, to her husbands doubts about propriety, but it started to give her giggles, when another time, she has seen him pacing towards her, red as a beet and with a clear outrage on his face. Fully aware of her husbands views, she patiently was putting away everything she did in the moment, to listen to Charles's speech, about the propriety of the young couple's behavior.

She was trying to treat him seriously, but it wasn't always easy...Considering all the things, that has happened between her and Charles, in their marital bed and in all other places, she still couldn't believe, that Charlie could be so uptight, seeing kisses or hugs.

It was all innocent and fun, until one day, when Charles heard something, that caused a new level of anxiety in him.

According to the promise, that he gave Elsie some time ago, Charles was helping much more than before and took over some of Elsie's duties, so she could have more time and be less tired...

When Elsie was changing in the afternoon, Charles stepped away into the room, asking, if she needed him to help her with something...She told him, that she was going to change the flowers, in the vase standing in the corridor leading to the guests rooms and he immediately went to get it.

Elsie already managed to change and she was going to go to the kitchen, when Charles rapidly walked back into their bedroom, with his face much redder than usual and with a fastened breath... Elsie immediately knew, that he witnessed something that caused such outrage, but she wasn't aware of what it was...

"Elsie...You are not going to believe that!"

"What now Charlie?"

Charles sat on the bed, breathing heavily, being in the state of total agitation...

"I went to get the vase with the flowers and you know what I heard?"

"What sweetie? I gather by your look, that it had to be something terrible..."

"Newlyweds are in their room..."

"Yes and what is wrong with that?"

"Nothing, but they are...Well they are..."

"Come on Charlie, spit it out at last!"

"They are making love in there..."

"How do you know that?"

"I heard noises, which indicated precisely what they were doing..."

"I see...And that is so terrible?"

"Maybe not terrible, but inappropriate..."

"And what's exactly inappropriate about it Charlie? They are married, aren't they?"

"They are, but they are here, among other people and it's only afternoon and..."

"Oh Charlie...My sweet, dear, outraged Charlie...You know that I love you? Let me remind you something..."

"What's that Elsie?"

"Our honeymoon...As you may recall, we have been doing exactly the same thing, which they are doing right now and not only in the night..."

"Well yes, but we were in a big hotel and the atmosphere was more discreet...You have to admit Elsie, that ever since they came here, they have been acting rather frivolous..."

"They are and I'm not going to condemn them for it...We are not exactly a big hotel, but we want our guests to feel comfortable...Charlie, they are young and in love, they just started their intimate journey together...Let them enjoy it...You wouldn't want to be deprived of all the wonderful moments, that we had during our honeymoon, would you?"

"I wouldn't give those moments for anything...They are our most precious memories..."

"I fully agree my love...So let our young ones to express their love, regardless of the time of the day, all right?"

"All right Elsie...But please, do not send me to that corridor again, at least not while they are here, I never felt more embarrassed in my life.."

"I promise love...Why don't you take a short nap? You need to relax after the stress..."- Elsie kissed Charles tenderly and brushed away that curl from his forehead, which always magically appeared, when Charles was particularly agitated...

"If you don't need me now Elsie, I would gladly do it..."

"I will be all right...I will have my afternoon tea with Beryl now, since the newlyweds will not need us for some time...See you later sweeatheart..."

"See you later Elsie"

Charles lied on the bed, trying to relax after difficult emotions and Elsie quietly locked the door, barely being able to hold laughter, which she had to stop herself from, all the way through their conversation...She paced towards the kitchen, already being excited, about repeating the story to Beryl...She predicted, that they will have a good laugh about it...

That's all for today...Yup, that's Charles...Outraged when it comes to other people's weaknesses, but forgetting about his own frolicking with Elsie ;-) At least Elsie and Beryl will have a good laugh about it in the upcoming chapter...Hope you will have a good time reading this, as I had good time writing this. Have a great weekend!
