Amara Thornwood's days in this wild, make-believe world felt like living in a topsy-turvy dream. The craziest part? She had fully embraced her gig as Scar's daughter, and the oddest thing was it didn't feel all that strange anymore. Calling him "Papa" came as naturally as breathing, and the bond they shared, even in this wacky place, felt rock-solid. It was like they'd been a family forever, even though, in the real world, they were total strangers.

The other day, as she sat with Scar, they chatted about her childhood. Those memories felt like a surreal movie – she couldn't remember living them. But she embraced them, just like her role as Scar's daughter, as if the narrative of her life had been rewritten, and she was both the author and the character.

Scar, well, he's an awesome dad, really. He's super caring and protective. If anyone messes with her, he goes all mama bear, you know? Total "protect my cub" mode. Plus, he's got a great sense of humor and spoils her rotten. But when it comes to his enemies, he's like a force of nature, especially when it comes to his arch-nemesis Maleficent, or as she fondly calls her, "lizard."

And you know what? She's really getting attached to him. Like, she's developed this real fondness and love for Scar. It's pretty cool being his daughter. She gets to see a side of Scar that Disney films never revealed. She's thankful to whoever set her up in this situation.

Still, the whole thing felt like a real mystery novel. Amara saw herself as the detective trying to figure everything out, like the lead character in a story full of secrets. Each day, the mysteries kept nagging at her, like those elusive shadows you can never quite grasp. Amara was eager to uncover some answers. She wondered who had sent her that odd survey and how on earth she had landed in this wacky and magical world. Additionally, she couldn't shake the curiosity about her role in this extraordinary place. Those questions were driving her crazy, like a relentless itch. Figuring out the puzzle of her arrival here was her top priority.

Speaking of the place she's been dumped into - the Isle of the Lost, even though being Scar's daughter is pretty cool and, well, it was her choice to be the daughter of a villain, not knowing what she was getting into, this place seriously tests her nerves.

The Isle of the Lost, it's like a place where the normal rules of right and wrong just don't seem to apply. And the more time she spend here, the deeper she get sucked into its whimsical and crazy world. They've gathered all the villains, the misfits, and the ones society left behind. The town, well, it's got this unique charm, but it's total chaos, ruled by the villains who've carved out their own domains. As for her dad, well, he's a league of his own. He's basically the top dog around here, building his own little kingdom, known as the Outlanders, with those animals turned into humans, including the goofy hyenas. Shere Khan, Tai Lung, Lord Shen, and Kaa? They're okay with him being the top dog, too busy with their own stuff to care about anyone else. As for their kids, they've become my own crew, kind of like those VKs and the pirates. But we can dive into that story another time.

Anyway, despite feeling a bit anxious at times, Amara couldn't resist the temptation to explore the Isle of the Lost. The excitement of the unknown, the mystery of it all, was just too enticing. She was dead set on uncovering the secrets of this extraordinary world, to dig up the truths hiding in its nooks and crannies. Her exploration kicked off right from her own house and spread out into the surrounding areas. Time to spread my wings and leave the nest, even if it's just for a while.

Their treehouse, or as she fondly called it, the 'tree palace' because of its immense size, was shared with her father and the other main animal villains and their kids. It was just one of many in the forest's canopy, and it was like being inside different Disney worlds brought to life. The attention to detail here was insane. Bridges and walkways connected the treehouses, creating a web that was basically a real-life Disneyland. People roamed around, chatted with each other, and some still had a bit of their animal personas in the way they moved. Amara was seriously impressed with the effort that went into making this place. She couldn't wait to check out the town.

As she ventured deeper into the forest, she came across the bustling town. It was like stepping into her favorite Disney flick, with characters who were previously just on-screen now walking and talking right in front of her. Unlike what she saw in the movies, it's not like the houses are decrepit or poverty is at its highest but it's still a chaotic mess. She knew she was pretty far from her father's territory, and he had his own strict rules there. But in this town, it was like a free-for-all when it came to rules.

As she had seen so far, it's very chaotic. No order or rules is in place. It was all smiles and giggles, but Amara couldn't help feeling a bit on edge. She can see some people just beating someone up and another just stealing freely and the owner of the stall can't argue against cause he has a knife in hand. She can't understand why these people keep on staying here and not moved to other territories that are more or less in order like her father's. Though all of her father's people have previously been animals so the humans might trigger their territorial instincts and blood will shed literally.

This part of the Isle, well, it was the lizard's territory, and she couldn't resist the temptation to snatch it. Especially when she spotted the VK's signature on the wall. She still hadn't gotten back at the lizard's spawn for pushing her down the stairs. So, why not take over this place? She could turn it into her own Pride Land. It was like her father's villainous attitude was rubbing off on her, in a kind of a good way, she guessed. I mean, claim a territory, spruce it up, and it could be better for the folks living there. Who cares if they switched rulers as long as life improved, right?

That's her goal while hunting down the mysterious benefactor who'd sent her here. When the Isle eventually broke free from its prison, it'd be the Thornwoods running the show, not the royal family. Ben's selection of villain kids wouldn't change, and Mal's inevitable switch to good would mean her mother's downfall. This meant they could claim this territory and any others the lizards had for their own. A grin spread across her face as she schemed and plotted her eventual takeover. Well, she might as well pay homage to her father while doing it. After all, he had a knack for taking over kingdoms.

As Amara looked around, whistling happily, she noticed that people were giving her a wide berth and not paying much attention to her. It seemed like everyone knew who she was, and she didn't mind the relative anonymity. Amara observed the paths leading to other territories, like the Queen of Hearts, the coven of witches, Hades and the titans, and, of course, back to her father's territory. She could even spot her school, Dragon Hall. Not encountering any VKs, she could focus on her plotting without any interruptions.

Thinking about the VKs, before her being here, her feelings were a mix of admiration, curiosity, and rivalry. She'd seen their stories on screen and found their rebellious spirit and unique personalities intriguing. She admired their resilience and resourcefulness but felt a lingering sense of competition. Amara couldn't help but wonder about their lives beyond the movies. The line between her past rivalry and her current existence was fuzzy, leaving her with complex feelings about the VKs.

Now, though, her emotions towards the VKs were far from positive, and she had no admiration for them. She felt a mix of indifference, irritation, and a growing sense of hatred. Mal's hypocrisy was particularly grating, and the others simply left her feeling indifferent. The rivalry between the two gangs was relentless, and now she was determined to exact some revenge for the fall.

Amara casually strolled through town, nearing the docks that were home to the pirates. In her peripheral vision, she spotted a flash of red, but her anticipation was short-lived as she realized it was merely a guy in a red shirt, not the pirate she had in mind.

Speaking of the pirates, there seemed to be no territorial disputes among them, between her father's territory or those of other sea villains like Ursula and Captain Hook. They appeared to have a silent truce, a "mind your own business" agreement, allowing for relatively free movement between their territories.

She remembered that in her previous incarnation, she enjoyed visiting the seaside, which is why she was headed there now. However, despite her numerous visits, she never had a chance to engage in a conversation with the person she admired the most. They hadn't even met face to face. What a missed opportunity!

Now she found herself at the docks. Although there wasn't a visible barrier, you could tell the difference between the areas with and without the barrier. The sky appeared to be much bluer without the barrier, while gloomy and stormy with it. Gazing out at the sea, she noticed the numerous ships, each with its own unique charm. It was a pity that there seemed to be nowhere to sail to, although some of the vessels looked magnificent.

Back to her favorite pirate, she was really eager to meet him in person. She had only glimpsed him in her memories, which was enough to content her for a while, but she couldn't wait to see him face to face. The thought of it made her both excited and nervous. She pondered on how to act around him – should she be cool and casual or just stay quiet? Well, she figured she'd wing it when the time came.

However, since he wasn't around at the moment, she decided to head back to her father before looking for him. She also needed to discuss some plans with her gang regarding the VKs. As she turned around to make her way back to the forest, her path was unexpectedly blocked by a solid figure. It wasn't a wall, but a chest, or more accurately, someone's chest.

"Well, well, well... What's a charming lass like you doing in these parts?" spoke a very familiar voice, resonating with a wonderful accent she had always loved. Amara looked up and, to her delight, saw the pirate of her dreams – Harry Hook.

Amara found herself mesmerized by his lovely blue eyes. No one could compare to his dazzling handsomeness. At first, she was tongue-tied, but she didn't want to appear foolish in front of her crush. Fortunately, she had inherited her previous incarnation's habit of appearing indifferent most of the time. She took a step back to create some space between them, even though she didn't really want to.

"Hmmm... What does it look like, pirate?" Amara responded with an air of nonchalance. She then made a show of observing him from head to toe and back, inwardly admiring him like she always did. He was dressed in the same outfit she remembered from his first appearance: a white lace top, black cropped pants, a red colonial jacket, fingerless gloves, and black combat boots. "You're Captain Hook's son... Harry Hook."

"I'm impressed," Harry said with a chuckle, "you recognize me so easily. I guess it's the hook." He took his hook and made a show of circling her while using it to catch some strands of her hair. "I don't recognize you though. Give me a moment." He then looked her up and down.

Amara hoped she looked good for a first impression. She had opted for something simple she found in her closet. In her father's territory, everyone wore outfits with a mafia-like touch, which was elegant and expensive despite the outlaw vibe. But in the Outlanders, her father's territory, they produced their own fabrics, resulting in unique designs.

Indeed, each territory had its own unique style influenced by the fashion preferences of their leaders. The pirates went for that classic pirate look, the witches embraced their magical aesthetics, the Queen of Hearts' realm had a medieval vibe, Hades' territory rocked the Grecian style, and in Maleficent's domain, it was a mix and match of whatever individuals liked. It wasn't a strict rule to dress accordingly, but it seemed to be what the people preferred, and changing their opinions was no easy task. People just liked what they liked.

Harry gazed at her for a moment, his eyes filled with a mixture of curiosity and charm. He finally remembered and said, "Oh...I remember, you're Scar's beautiful daughter. I didn't catch your name though." His flirty smile remained, adding to the charm of the moment.

Harry's flirtatious smile was enough to make anyone a bit dazed, but Amara managed to maintain her composure. She deflected his question smoothly, "You're a pirate, you're supposed to be good at finding something, right? Like treasure?" Her casual response seemed to pique his interest even more.

"Ye bet lass," Harry responded arrogantly, a smirk playing on his lips.

With a triumphant smirk, she turned her back on him and delivered her parting words over her shoulder. "Then find it yourself, pirate boy." And with that, she walked away, leaving a dumbfounded Harry Hook staring at her retreating figure, undoubtedly leaving a lasting impression on the pirate.

Harry POV

Harry continued to watch her retreating figure, a mixture of disbelief at the audacity the girl had shown him, but there was an underlying amusement. "Well, it is the daughter of Scar, after all," he thought with a smirk, finding her boldness somewhat endearing and intriguing. "What a tease."

He recalled her as Scar's daughter, someone he was strangely protective of, even though he had never taken the time to learn her name. Those times she visited the docks to watch the sea, he never got a glimpse of her face, and he hadn't really felt like talking to her back then. But now, his curiosity had taken over, and he couldn't help but think he should've talked to her sooner.

To him, the girl exuded an air of elegance and royalty, which wasn't surprising given that Scar had once been a king before being dethroned by his nephew for killing his father, the previous king and his own brother. As he looked at her lion-like mane of hair, her heart-shaped small face, mesmerizing greenish-yellow eyes, flawless tan, and curvy body, he couldn't help but be captivated. Her small height didn't bother him in the slightest; in fact, he quite liked it. Her outfit, consistent with the unique style everyone in Outlanders, Scar's territory, seemed to wear, suited her perfectly. There was something regal and enchanting about her presence.

Now that he had met her, Harry didn't want to stop. There was something about her that had attracted him greatly, and he felt like he had a mission to accomplish. "Now, to find out Ma Reine's name," he thought with a mischievous grin.

Amara and Harry finally met. How'd you find their first encounter? I'd love to include a map, but I can't just swipe one from another story without permission, so we'll have to rely on our vivid imaginations. I also included pictures though it only shows in my wattpad story version. My account there is bby178. The story has the same name.

Translation:

French: Ma Reine means My Queen

By the way, Scar's territory, "Outlanders," was inspired by the Pridelands, even though Scar's far from home in the Isle. The outfits have a touch of Stylouz's Scar cosplay, giving them a unique and recognizable style. And the mafia-like vibe adds an interesting layer to the setting, blending in perfectly with the story's world.

Anyway, please like and review. Let me see what you think about it so far. Thanks for reading.
