Chapter 06: Savion's New Spell

"Lord Ajuka!" I walked into the office of the Green Satan.

"Oh, Savion. Do you need something?" I could see that Ajuka Beelzebub raised his eyebrow as he looked at me. Well, this isn't my first time barging into his office, so I think he's getting used to it.

"I need your help with a new technique I'm creating. I have something I don't understand," I walked toward him and placed a bunch of theories I had come up with on his desk.

Who was I kidding? Of course, I'm not really creating a new technique. I'm just copying one of the spells I've seen in the manga Nee-sama, and I've read.

"Still only eleven years old, and you've already thought about creating your technique. Quite impressive," the creator of the Evil Pieces praised me. "Hmm… you've thought it through thoroughly. But there is something you've missed regarding the use of spatial magic," Lord Ajuka pointed out as he read through the papers I had submitted to his table.

"Ah? What did I miss? Please explain it to me, Teacher Ajuka!" Yes, Ajuka sometimes acts as my teacher. I go to him whenever I reach a bottleneck in my research.

"Here, it says you want to use water as the medium for the teleportation spell," Lord Ajuka tapped his finger on the paper. "But here, you forgot to calculate the velocity and surface angle of the target," he explained.

"But I don't think I'll have time to calculate during a fight, Teacher," I replied honestly.

"I know," Lord Ajuka nodded in understanding. "But let's move forward only after you've done this," he added.

"I'll be back," I did my best Arnold Schwarzenegger voice and rushed out of the office.

A month later, I was back in Lord Ajuka's office. "I did it, Lord Ajuka!" I exclaimed and kicked open the office door.

"Savion?" Lord Ajuka looked up from his paperwork to acknowledge my presence. "You were faster than I expected."

"Please take a look at this," I said as I created a ball of water and formed a circle as big as a person. Lord Ajuka's body started glowing brightly, and he widened his eyes a little.

A second or two later, he disappeared and reappeared a foot away from his original place. But man, it took almost all the magical energy inside me to make him move just one foot.

"This is amazing," The Green Satan stroked his chin and looked at me in amazement. Hehehe, praise me more.

"This spell doesn't require any preparation time, yet it can instantly transport people. No wonder you want to perfect it quickly," he analyzed quickly.

"Yes, but I'm not strong enough to send you out of the room… yet," I smirked at him.

"Good luck with that," Lord Ajuka smirked back. "You're 50 years too early to use that technique on me." A magic circle appeared on top of his hand. Ah… crap. That's the Kankara Formula, isn't it?

"Crap," I exclaimed in distress. "But only 50 years?"

"You're growing too fast compared to other kids," Lord Ajuka answered. "It might take even less than 50 years to send me away."

"There you go again with that humble attitude," I mentally pouted.

"I'm serious, Savion," Teacher looked at me seriously. "You have what it takes to become stronger than your peers," he added. "So, have you thought about the name for this technique?"

"Of course!" I puffed out my chest. To be honest, I'm not the one who named it, but meh, who cares!

"Then I have an assignment for you," Lord Ajuka handed me a file.

"What is this?" I asked in confusion.

"I need you to go on a joint operation with an exorcist," he explained as I skimmed the file. "Normally, this should be your sister's job to give out this mission, but… you know what happened to her after that incident." Looking at the man pinching the bridge of his nose, I heaved out a sigh.

The incident he was talking about was my engagement to Rias. Nee-sama went into full sulking mode, and it has been a year since then. But again, she's still sneaking into my bed at night to kiss me on the lips, so I have nothing to complain about.

But a joint mission with an exorcist, eh? "Why are you sending me, an eleven-year-old, on a joint mission?" I asked. This is weird on so many levels.

"You're a High-Class Devil now, just deal with it," Lord Ajuka dismissed my concerns. Wow… just wow, as expected of a Satan. He's literally sending a child to fight for his life.

"If you say so," I shrugged my shoulders and walked out of the room. If he thinks I'm ready to take the mission, that means I'm ready. Since Nee-sama had to inform me about this mission, I take it she's already aware of this.

Now, onward to the human world so that I can meet my partner. I hope that person is not a pedophile. I've heard a lot about such topics to fear for my chastity.

It was not surprising that Lavinia won the battle. Augusta was having a hard time adjusting with an arm missing from her body.

Savion gained many ideas and information about the Sacred Gears from the battle between Augusta and Lavinia. He wanted to return to the lab and begin his research.

"So, the teacher lost, huh?" Walburga softly muttered.

"Well, the promised spellbook, please?" Savion smirked and held out his hand.

"You blew up her arm! That's not fair!" The little girl pouted but nevertheless handed over a book to Savion.

"You can try taking Lavinia's arm if you dare," Savion put the book into his [Inventory]. He'll take a look at it after everyone here is safe.

"I know my limits," Walburga huffed. "Now, what? Is this the part where you kill me?" she asked tersely.

"What?" Savion faked his surprise and looked at her. "No! Why would you think that? I don't like killing unnecessarily," he denied her. "I just need to wipe some of your memories about something," the Sitri Heir added.

"Just that?" The purple flame witch's disciple asked back in disbelief.

"Of course," Savion nodded. "Although it was brief, I enjoyed your company. Let's go watch a movie or something next time," he shrugged his shoulders.

"Give me your number," The girl didn't skip a beat when asking for the number.

"Okay, geez. I'll give it to you. You don't need to make the puppy eyes for it," Savion sighed. He hasn't seen such a shameless girl… no scratch that; his Nee-sama is more shameless than Walburga. He took the phone from the girl and put his numbers inside it.

"You are a reasonable person, aren't you? So reasonable that it kind of scared me," Looking at the phone in her hand, Walburga stood in a daze. She had been traveling with her teacher for months, yet she had never seen such a reasonable devil during all those times.

"My sister raised me to be one, thank you," Savion replied nicely.

"So, are we friends now?" Putting away her phone, the girl in purple gothic style clothing asked.

"No, we are still at the level of movie-watching acquaintances," Savion shrugged his shoulders.

"Well, that's fair," Walburga nodded. She knew better than anyone not to push her luck when talking with this Devil.

"So, where should I send you and your teacher?" Savion formed a ball of water on his palm and asked the girl sitting beside him.

"Hmm… Somewhere around Modica would be nice. I've always wanted to visit that place ."

"Italy?" Savion raised his eyebrow.

"Yes."

"Well, sure. I'll wipe the memory from before, okay?" Savion asked as he touched her head.

Walburga flinched the moment Savion's hand touched her head. But she knew he was just erasing the fight with her teacher from her memory, so she steeled herself.

"And… finished!" Savion smiled and stood up from the sofa. The water above his palm formed a circle as big as a human body.

"Woah! My body is lighting up! Oh, teacher's too!" Walburga carried her teacher on her shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

Most spells won't get this reaction out of her, but… this? This is the teleportation spell that doesn't need the consent of the other party. One needs to prepare in advance if they want to forcefully teleport the other party, not just forming a water circle.

"That boy… just how strong is he?" Walburga shuddered in fear. With this kind of spell, won't it be easy for him to send people he doesn't like into space? The girl patted herself from the past on the back for making a good first impression on him. At least for now, she won't have to worry about getting teleported into space.

"Well then, see you later, Miss Walburga. It was a pleasure meeting you," Savion said goodbye to his new acquaintance. "Aqua Aera," With that, the girl and her teacher disappeared from the place.

Savion walked to Lavinia, who was heaving out heavy breaths. She looked like a mess with dirt and soot covering her body.

"Are you okay, Lavinia?" Savion asked while checking her condition. There were burn marks here and there, but nothing life-threatening.

"I'm okay, Savi," the Demise Girl replied weakly. "But why did you let them escape?" she asked, but according to her tone, she was not blaming Savion.

"You are in no shape to continue the battle, Lavinia," Savion replied while using a healing spell on her. "And we are out of Phoenix's Tears. I gave the last one to Tobio as he'll be needing it more than us," he then started pulling out bandages from his [Inventory] and started wrapping them around Lavinia's head.

"That's okay, Tobi will be needing more than us," Lavinia sighed and sat down on the ground to make it easier for Savion to wrap the bandages on her head. "And I have Savi to take care of me," she added with a slight smile on her face.

"Yeah, yeah," Savion slapped the place where Lavinia was bleeding, earning a yelp from her. "You shouldn't tease the one who is tending your wound," He added before continuing his job.

*Ring* *Ring*

"Savion?" Tobio's voice came from the other side of the phone.

"I can hear loud and clear," Savion replied as he put it on speaker.

"I met a man named Kokabiel," Savion could hear Tobio gasping for breath. "Can I trust him?" He asked.

"Yes, for now," Savion answered after thinking for a second or two. Current Kokabiel is not an enemy yet. Unless he wants a war with the Fallen Angel, Savion cannot antagonize the man now.

"Thank you," and Tobio hung up the phone.

"We should get going as well," Savion turned his head toward Lavinia, earning a nod from her.

"I'm sorry, but I have to ask you to leave," Savion calmly addressed the angry mob, standing before a crowd of furious individuals.

"Shut up, Devil!" one of the mob leaders retorted angrily. "This is our land, and you have no reason to tell us what to do!"

"That's why I don't want to deal with low-level mobs," Savion sighed in annoyance.

"What did you say?!" another mob leader asked angrily.

"We already have permission from Lady Amaterasu to deal with the current issue. If you have issues with us addressing this situation, please contact your gods," Savion replied without altering his expression, maintaining a calm demeanor.

"You are lying! There is no way Lady Amaterasu would make a deal with the Devils!" another person shouted.

Savion could feel his patience wearing thin, and he might snap in a minute or two. "I have a long way to go to catch up to Nee-sama's level," he thought to himself.

"That's your issue," Savion said as he created a circle of water in his hand, causing the bodies of over 30 people to glow in light. "Please come back to us after you discuss with your gods," Savion teleported them back to their city.

"Are you okay, Savi?" Lavinia asked him with concern. She couldn't be part of the argument, being a part of the Devil race, nor could Gregory.

"I'm fine, Lavinia," Savion replied wearily. It wasn't physical fatigue from using his spells, but rather from the taxing conversation with the Five Principal Clans. "Let's continue, shall we?" he asked, ready to press on.

When they arrived, they found Tobio heavily injured, lying on the ground. "Shit, we got here a little too late," Savion muttered under his breath upon seeing Sae impaling herself with Jin's horn.

"Tobi?" Lavinia said with concern.

"This is bad," Savion noted. He would have loved to gather data on Tobio's Sacred Gear, but it would be troublesome to fight against it. Even though he was immune to it, it didn't mean he wouldn't get hurt because of the cuts.

Savion instantly appeared beside his student. Tobio was screaming in anger, pain, and helplessness. "It's okay, Tobio," Savion said, placing his hand on Tobio's shoulder. The brother of Leviathan winced as his hand began to bleed from multiple cuts. "Calm down your anger," he continued. "Your childhood friend will be safe now because I am here." With his other hand, Savion began healing Sae's wounds. "Sacred Gears evolve with emotions," he advised. "Hold your anger in check, channel your helplessness to protect your loved ones, and to protect yourself."

Tobio's opponent tried to interrupt the process, but Lavinia stepped between them. "Leave this to me, Savi," she declared, reassuring him.

"Now, guide your willingness to protect your loved ones to Jin," Savion instructed, following the reports he had read. "This guy achieved Balance Breaker at a young age," he thought. "I just need to awaken it in the right way, instead of following the whatever process from the Light Novel," he mused.

"What am I?" Tobio's voice emerged from the Black Hound he had transformed into.

"You can talk now, great," Savion said in relief. It meant that the process he had pulled out of thin air had worked. "Rejoice, Tobio!" Savion grinned wildly like a madman. "You've properly achieved the Balance Breaker!" he added.

Tobio looked at his paws and the shadows around him and then towards his beloved childhood friend. "Sae!" he called out in concern.

"She is fine now, I've healed her," Savion reassured him, sensing Tobio's worry. "Don't underestimate the Sitri," he added. "Although I only had to heal flesh wounds since Tobio's grandmother's beads did wonders," he thought silently in his head.

"Thank goodness," Tobio sighed in relief.

"Now, what will you do?" Savion asked, making Tobio turn his head towards him. "Will you kill that man or let him live?" he added. "You have to make this decision, Tobio. As long as he is alive, he will be a threat to you and the people you care about." Savion's voice resounded inside Tobio's head.

Tobio, raised to be kind-hearted by his grandmother, was scared by the thought of killing someone. All he wanted was to live peacefully with his childhood friend. Now, he had to consider whether or not to kill a relative. After taking a life, there was no going back for him. "But... if he wants to hurt Sae," Tobio gritted his teeth and ultimately made his decision.

"I will do it," Tobio's decision weighed heavily on him. "For Sae, for my classmates, and for everyone he has put through this disaster," Tobio's eyes sharpened.

As Tobio walked closer to his Himejima relative, Savion let out a tired sigh and picked up Sae. Glancing at Lavinia, he noticed that she had sustained injuries, which shouldn't have happened given the man's level. But this was not his concern now. His role was to watch over Tobio with a proud look on his face, as this marked his student's proper first step into the world of magic and the unknown.

Author's Note;

So, this is the chapter I had temporarily shelved without posting it online. Since I don't have the time to write a new chapter right now, I've decided to publish it. The last chapter was... five months ago? I guess I've been a bit of a lazy sloth, haven't I?

Savion is a pretty laid-back guy, as long as you don't say anything negative about his sisters to his face.

Please bear with me, as this is written in my older style, and I'd rather not edit and rewrite the entire chapter. Starting from the next chapter, I'll try to use my new writing style.

I'll return with another chapter of my Campione fic this week, although I can't say exactly when. Have a great day!
