Hello and welcome back. This week I offer you a little bit of an oddball idea I thought of with everyone's favorite reporters!

As Famitsu sat in her cubicle she puffed a strand of hair out from her eyes, twirling her pen in her fingers she could feel the boredom of the day starting to eat at the last strands of her patience.

She liked her job, she really did! Writing about all the current ongoings in Gamindustri, while putting her own unique voice into her pieces. She loved it, she did!

But… she'd be lying if she said the monotony of the everyday 9-5 didn't get to her sometimes. That every so often she didn't get stung with the boredom of her monotonous life.

Standing up, Famitsu meandered her way down the hall as she stood by the water cooler, passing at least a few moments by sipping on some refreshing water. When times got like this, Famitsu always needed time to refresh herself, and when ever she needed reminder of why she was doing what she was, she just had to think of her biggest rival, and how she refused to let that blonde get the better of her!

"Oh… Famitsu…" speak of the devil. There she was.

"Oh… Dengekiko…" She mused as she looked the blonde up and down, expecting to see she was as she always was. Obnoxiously peppy and pretty. But… "are you ok?" Famitsu asked, worry dripping into her voice, looking at Dengekiko, she just looked… off.

Her outfit wasn't as put together. There wasn't that usual fire behind her eyes. In fact… there were obvious bags sagging beneath her teal eyes. Dengekiko just didn't look like herself.

"Spare me the compassion" The blonde mused as she walked by her long time rival, reaching for the pot of coffee in the break room, mumbling to herself as she poured herself a cup,

As Famitsu looked on she felt the strangest mix of pity and indigestion. For as long as she'd known Dengekiko, she had picked up on the small things that made her her. But this just seemed wrong.

"Dengekiko…" Famitsu didn't like this. She didn't know what it was… "Seriously. Not everything has to be bitter between us… are you ok?" Famitsu asked again, as Dengekiko stared beyond what was in the room at the moment.

"I don't know" was all she said

"What?" Famitsu didn't understand. How could she not know how she herself was feeling?

"I don't know. I don't know what I'm doing. I don't know why I'm doing anything" Dengekiko stared at the ground as she mumbled,

"What? Dengekiko… that's not like you" Famitsu seemed genuinely worried about her

"I just feel so run down. It feels like… no matter how hard I work… nome of it matters. You got yokels like that at generalsummarysite just publishing bullshit and everyone just eats it up! I work so hard… and yet… and yet…" Famitsu could hear the frustration bubbling beneath the surface of the usually peppy blonde, who gripped her fists by her sides. There was something about this Famitsu hated. She hated seeing the normally competitive and fierce Dengekiko so down on herself.

Apparently, Famitsu wore her emotions on herself too well, as before long Dengekiko started to chuckle "what's with that look, Famitsu?" She laughed, "shouldn't you be happy? Shouldn't you be laughing at me?" Dengekiko asked. As Famitsu was taken aback for a moment,

"Do… do you really think that?" Famitsu asked, scared of the answer. Sure… they bickered a lot. And sure they had their moments. But did Famitsu hate Dengekiko…?

No.

No she didn't.

She…

"Maybe… it's hard to not feel like you wouldn't just pile on me…" Dengekiko sounded even lower than before, like she truly believed Famitsu was going to twist the dagger into her mood even more. Today just wasn't her day, and Famitsu could see it. But she didn't want to make it worse. She didn't hate Dengekiko.

She…

She…

"Ughhh you're the worst!" Famitsu snapped with a huff, as Dengekiko shot up, looking at her with bewilderment, "Now you listen here missy!" Famitsu began with a pout, "I don't know how you possibly could have gotten it in your head about that I would be the type of person to do that! Just because we compete doesn't mean I don't care about you!" Famitsu started ranting, not even thinking through the words that flowed from her mouth,

All the while, Dengekiko simply stared up at her old rival as if she was looking at a brand new person.

"But… but… I thought you hated me..?" Dengekiko soon asked, voice barely above a whisper, as Famitsu once again felt like a vein was popping in her forehead,

"You… youuuu…" She grumbled before letting out a sigh, "Dengekiko…" She started, trying to formulate what she wanted to say, "You…" whenever she thought about Dengekiko… she always felt motivated. Inspired. Dengekiko was a wonderful reporter. She made Famitsu strive to be better. Dengekiko… she… she… "You complete me Dengekiko…" Famitsu eventually put her feelings to words, as Dengekiko looked up, wide eyed,

"Famitsu…" She didn't believe what she was hearing,

"The truth is… I don't know where I'd even be without you. Without you… I'm… not… me. You force me to be the best version of myself. So how can I just sit around doing nothing when you don't feel your best. Shouldn't I make you feel the best version of yourself?" She smiled as she finished, as Dengekiko starred in bewilderment. Staring straight into her green eyes, gleaming into her soul, and yet, all she saw was genuine kindness.

Eventually, she found herself staring at her face for just a beat too long, and felt her heart prick just a little too noticeably. Feeling her face flush beat red, she rushed towards the door to the break room,

"Well uh… my next story is gonna kick the butt off anything you've ever written in your career!" She yelled as she pointed at Famitsu, before looking down in embarrassment. Eventually huffing out, "But thank you… Famitsu…" She whispered, before turning tail and running away, leaving behind a bewildered Famitsu. Who could only think…

"Cute" whatever the hell she just made Dengekiko do might have been the cutest thing she'd ever seen.

And suddenly. The rest of the day went by shockingly quickly, as Famitsu brainstormed ways to see that cute face more…

Cute, aint it? Anyway. Time for reviews.
