Chapter 5

The biggest obstacle of his signature plan was now headed to UA at the invite of the rat god himself. Bones was restrained to a dolly in his office asking why they were ganging up on him.

His answer was in the form of a white furred rabbit bodied woman walking into the room. "Hiya, kiddo. What's this I hear about you avoiding me?"

"Miroku. Hiii. Ummm.. Could you loosen these a bit first?"

"Not happening kiddo. But I did talk with Nedzu about your current project… I'm in, but one condition… you gotta patrol with me for a week. That puts you on guard duty during the Festival as well."

"Actually. You have to work that out with Present Mic. He has me doing commentary with Eraserhead. Oh but other than that time I am free. Now I do need a small tiny very insignificant favor from you…."

A week and a half later…

The next day during an interview on the street with Endeavor, the press kept looking over his shoulder. The man turned enough to see Mr. Bones holding a stick with hot dogs on it over his head.

"Ok kiddies, the food is almost done. Oops, I think he caught me. Here Sami, hand them out while I…. Look, it's a distraction!"

Bones bolted down the street towards the crowd as the angry hero roared after him. He was so glad Miroku could get the Street kids to show up. Also glad the hot head had a murder boner for him. He turned a corner seeing Hawks walking by. "Heads up. Pyromaniac on the warpath behind me. Don't say I didn't warn you." He continued on as Hawks had to dodge a very furious Endeavor.

"Hawks. Help me capture that thing." The man was about to fire off a large attack when his arms were pushed up. The blast still broke windows and tore up some walls.

Hawks feathers had moved his arms away from the busy street. "I don't know what's going on but that could have Killed somebody. And I don't mean Bones. What the hell is going through that burning head of yours?"

The #2 man just glared at the feathers holding his arms up before jerking them back. He turned on Hawks with his flames growing hotter. "Don't protect that criminal. He needs to be arrested and locked away!" With that Endeavor stormed off not even noticing the multiple phones recording his actions.

Bones however was on a rooftop grinning. 'The man did have a way with words. And boy would those bite him in the ass.'

"So what exactly happened to get him that pissed off at you?" Bones pulled out a phone and showed the impromptu cookout for the Street kids. Hawks had to take a minute to catch his breath after laughing so hard.

The skeleton just waited. Finally he decided to take a chance. "Say, Hawks good buddy, if I was to ask you for approval to get my hero license along with other heroes… would you do it knowing the commission is against it?"

That evening the hero classes were led to an outdoor area where Miroku, Bones, and a bunch of mutation quirk kids were having a cookout. "Hey, future heroes, come join us. Let me introduce you to the Street Kids. The best back alley information network you will ever meet. Well for good guys that is…"

The smaller kids looked unimpressed till one horse-like boy ran up to Pony. "Wow you look just like auntie Pony from the states."

"...Ikuri? Is that you Ikuri? What… how…we were told you ran away and disappeared?" Her eldest sister had married and stayed in Japan having a son. The family visited on rare occasions but stayed in touch.

"Hi Auntie Pony!" Bones just grinned at the two groups mingling. One of the more stubborn Kids was having an argument with Bakugo, both had blast type quirks but the kid looked like a rock golem.

The picnic was a blast and the news feeds of Endeavor's attack was a success. A trial was called for by the public after the urging of Gentel Criminal and the release of videos of the Hero commissions attempts to arrest Mr. Bones was the final straw. La brava did a great job with the Pie charts and graphs showing how much crime had dropped while Bones was active. And the fact that several criminals had come forward about the fact that he focused on the real crimes in the background then on the limelight.

One night a certain skeleton walked into a bar. He was invited by his friends from the streets. The regulars at the bar were looking at him in awe as the violent Dabi and Toga were just chatting with him while Toga was still trying to stab it. And Dabi was holding a blue flame under its hand. "Stabby… you know that wont work. And I don't have any blood packs today. And Burny.. We have been at this for an hour. Do you see any change?"

The other resident stepped forward and placed all five fingers on the skeleton's arm. Nothing happened. But after they explained about Shigaraki Quirk the skeleton was jumping with joy. "Awesome. I'm unkillable… buuut… I will not join you guys. Listen, I get it. I hate the current hero set-up. But I really don't think the whole system is flawed. 90% but not all of it. So here is my plan. I'm an anomaly and prefer to be a vigilante, but that's not to say you have to be 'good'. Just keep property destruction to a minimum and civilian casualties to zero and I will not come after you. We ignore each other and we all dislike All Might. So now for me to shake a bone and head back to the campus. See ya later. Oh and watch the news. #2 is going to court, just think what that means for the rest of the numbered heroes."

Before he could leave, Dabi grabbed his collar. "Don't joke about that. You got enough to put him out of the game?" The burnt skinned man looked at the skeleton coldly.

The tilt of the head was enough to make him let go of the vest. "Hey. Do sweat it Dabs, your sids are not going to be in danger. Besides…" The spooky look on the skull creeped out even Shigaraki. "... We are keeping that on the downlow as a major bargaining chip. Oddly enough, this is to get me a hero license at the minimum. At most… we completely shatter the whole hero/villian system."

Those words were left to the silence as Bones left them. The TV is still recording the room. This was going to be a very big thing.
