Sakura walked further behind the streets of the Uchiha compound into the woods, wrapping her coat tighter around her body as the chill of the night air caused goosebumps on her skin to form. She had excused herself from Kagura after staying later than normal during one of their get togethers, and was on her way home when she had the overwhelming sense to change directions. She suddenly found herself walking deeper into the woods, the familiarity of it causing her to pause in her steps. She swallowed as she saw the mouth of the cave, the illusion surrounding it dissipating once she was close. A strong gust of wind came out of the cave and Sakura closed her eyes and brought her arms up to cover her face. Before she knew what was happening, everything went black.

...

Sakura blinked her eyes open before sitting up abruptly, taking in her surroundings. She was back in the same space she met the goddess all those months ago.

"Hello again," Sakura turned around, her eyes widening as she came face to face once more with the goddess.

"Amaterasu!" The goddess smiled brightly at her, changing their surroundings from a dark emptiness to a meadow, different colored butterflies fluttering all around them.

"Why am I here again?" Sakura asked after a beat. Amaterasu smiled and walked over to stand in front of her. Sakura tilted her head back to look up at the goddess, admiring her beauty as she smiled down at her.

"You've done well my dear," she started, her hands cupping her cheeks. "Thank you for saving my children," with a wave of her hand, images began to appear before them. Sakura held her breath as she watched the timeline play out in front of her, of a different future from the one she came from. Konoha was thriving, and her breath hitched as she saw Sasuke and Naruto's childhood change to one full of love and happiness. Tears streamed down her face as she saw Naruto with his parents, alive and well as he became a genin, with Sasuke smiling at his brother, Itachi, as he greeted them outside the academy. Just then a pink haired girl joined them, waving at them enthusiastically as she ran towards them. Sakura gasped.

"Is that…" she trailed off. Sakura knew it wasn't her, but the resemblance was there in her eyes and her nose. She watched as someone who looked a little like Tobirama, but with strawberry blonde hair and one emerald green eyes and one red, ruffle the girl's hair with a soft smile on his face. Sakura blinked faster, rubbing her eyes to make sure she was seeing things correctly. She swore she could see herself in him. She gasped again as an Uchiha joined their group, but what really caught her attention was the uncanny resemblance to the shape of his eyes and the size of his forehead to hers. She started to hyperventilate.

"Your descendants," the goddess chimed in, smiling down at her as Sakura tried to catch her breath. The vision disappeared as Sakura closed her eyes and took deep, even breaths. She was going to have their children. Part of her was excited at the prospect of it, it was something she secretly always wanted, to be a mother. But another part of her was scared. She's been contemplating for the last few days on whether or not she should tell them about her past and where she came from, but always stopped at the last second. She knew she wouldn't be able to hide it for long, especially from Tobirama. She could feel it deep down inside, the way he would look at her, but he continued to trust her and love her despite knowing that she was hiding something. She worries about Madara and how he would take it the most, but she owed it to them to be truthful. If she wanted the future she just witnessed to come true, she has to come clean and tell them who she really was. Swallowing hard, she made up her mind.

"You've done well my dear. Enjoy this chance you were given," the goddess said as she began to disappear with the surroundings and Sakura once again, losing consciousness.

"What happened?" asked Izuna as he rushed to Sakura's side where she laid down on the futon, unconscious.

"I found her unconscious by the cave," Madara answered, his jaw tightening. Izuna stared at him with wide eyes. Only he and his brother, and a couple of the elder councilmen knew about the cave. Sakura should have never been able to go near it at all, let alone dispel the genjutsu surrounding it without a mangekyo sharingan, yet she did.

Flashback

Madara was on his way to the compound when he felt a surge of chakra in the surrounding woods. Realizing it was Sakura's, he hastily made his way towards it, cursing when he felt her chakra disappear completely. When he got there, a silhouette was hovering over her body.

"You have 3 seconds to step away from her before I rip out your throat," he warned, his eyes blazing red. The silhouette turned around and he froze, his body instantly locking as she smiled at him. He inwardly cursed as he tried to move but couldn't. He wonders if she hailed from the Nara clan with their shadow tricks, yet with his sharingan eyes, he could see there were no shadows holding him in place. The silhouette made her way towards him as he struggled in place, his teeth grinding when he wouldn't budge. She placed a hand on his cheeks. He stopped struggling when her eyes met his, his eyes going back to black.

" I'm sorry, my child. You have suffered the most. But fear not, I can see the love you have for her. The darkness will always be inside you, but she will be your guiding light. Remember that, everything happens for a reason ," she said. " When you learn of the truth, do not let it consume you ," she warned before she disappeared. Madara gasped in air as he fell to his knees. A small whimper had him coming back to his senses.

"Sakura," he called out to her, getting on his knees. He pushed a lock of hair out of her face and for the second time that night, the Uchiha Madara froze. He was bombarded with images too fast for him to comprehend, but he was able to make out just enough to know that it was memories, her memories. It was only for a second, but that second felt like hours. Once he caught his breath, he picked her up bridal style and made her way to the compound.

Madara watched as Izuna looked worriedly down at the pinkette. He clenched his jaw and looked away. The memories he saw from Sakura were too confusing and did not make sense, yet somehow deep down, he can't help but shake the odd feeling that it's true. The shogi doors slid open in a slam as both Hashirama and Tobirama barged in, their eyes instantly going towards the unconscious girl. When she began to stir awake, they were instantly at her side.

Sakura bolted upright, gasping for air as she woke up.

"Whoah there," Izuna said gently, placing a hand on her shoulders.

"Sasuke-kun?" she blinked rapidly as she tried to clear the white spots in her vision from moving too quickly. Izuna frowned. She must've sensed the way he tensed when her eyes widened and her hands quickly covered her mouth.

"Izuna, I'm sorry, I mistook you for someone else," she whispered softly, her eyes boring into his pleadingly. Izuna swallowed the lump in his throat.

"Sakura," they all turned towards Madara, who was sporting a deep scowl on his face.

"What were you doing near the cave?" he asked. Sakura bit her lips as she looked into his eyes. She could tell he was angry and he was trying to hold it in for her. She swallowed thickly as she felt everyone else's eyes on her.

"I was on my way home when I felt a pull," she confessed. Both Izuna and Madara's eyebrows furrowed.

"What cave?" chimed in Hashirama. Madara gave him the rundown.

"There's something you all should know," interrupted Sakura, her voice soft. She stood up and put some distance between herself and the men she loved. She faced them and looked into their eyes individually. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, the image of the future she witnessed playing in her mind. She wants it so badly, but she knows the guilt of keeping something like this from them will eat her alive, so she will tell them first and hope they will still love her enough to have that future with her.

"I'm not from this time," she began. Their brows furrowed but they stayed quiet, giving her the chance to finish, which she was grateful for.

"I am Sakura Haruno, kunoichi of Konohagakure, apprentice of the 5th Hokage, and a survivor of the 4th Shinobi War. I am from the future, a little over a 100 years to be exact," she finished, surprised at how steady her voice came out. Their eyes were now wide as saucers, looking at her like she had gone crazy. The only one who didn't look surprised was Madara, who was narrowing his eyes at her with his arms crossed in front of his chest. She bit her lips worriedly.

"Who was your enemy during the 4th war," he asked gruffly. She stared dumbfoundedly at him. Out of all the questions he could have possibly asked, he had to ask that one. How does she answer him? She sighed, sat back down and rested her head against the wall, her head facing up towards the ceiling.

"I'll have to tell you the story from the beginning in order for you to understand," she began, running her hands through her hair. And so she did, she told them the story from the beginning, where Izuna had died to when she found herself talking to a goddess about going back in time. After she was finished, her throat was dry and her eyes were red from the tears. They stayed quiet for a while, the sound of her hiccups the only thing breaking the silence. She chanced a peek toward Madara, who was now facing outside the doors towards the garden, his posture so tense she can practically see him vibrating. She turned towards the others, who were looking at anything but her, lost in their own thoughts as her story sank in. Hashirama was the first to break the silence, making his way towards her.

"You've been keeping such a heavy burden with you this whole time. Why didn't you confide in us?" he asked, his voice full of hurt.

"Can you blame me?"

"No, I guess you're right," he sighed, sitting next to her and wrapping his arm around her shoulders, bringing her close to his side. She smiled softly at him. Izuna was next to walk towards her, sitting in front of her.

"This Sasuke person. You loved him, didn't you?" he asked, brows furrowed. Sakura smiled sadly at him.

"Sasuke-kun was my teammate. And yes, I guess you could say he was my first love. He died in my arms," she said, her voice breaking as she held her tears at bay.

"Do you…" he paused, his face scrunched as if what he's going to say pains him.

"Do you love me because I look like him?" he avoided her gaze, his teeth gritting as the words left his mouth. Sakura gasped and brought her hands on top of his, holding on to it and urging him to look at her. With a deep intake of breath, Izuna obliged and turned back to look at her emerald eyes shining with determination.

"Izuna, my love for you and my love for Sasuke-kun are not the same. He was my first love yes, but it was a love with many trials and heartache. My love for him helped me become the person I am today. After Sasuke-kun died, I felt lost. I didn't think I could love again, I didn't want to, it was too painful. I didn't mean to fall in love with you, any of you," she said looking around her, catching their eyes. "But gradually it just bloomed inside of me until I couldn't keep it in anymore. For the longest time, I wanted to fight it, because I couldn't bear the thought of having my heart broken again," she took a deep breath, letting his hand go and placing it on top of her thigh.

"I could never have imagined that all of you would feel the same way about me, to the point that you have discussed sharing me. But I can see it in your eyes and feel it in your actions. I'm sorry I didn't tell you all sooner," she said, her voice breaking.

Tobirama sat next to Sakura and pulled her in for a hug, burying her face on the crook of his neck. They stayed like that for a moment, each of their gazes softening as she sat back and smiled at Tobirama.

"I saw your memories," Madara interrupted. Her brows furrowed. She opened her mouth to say something but he held up a hand to stop her. In two long strides, he was standing in front of her, his hand outstretched, urging her to take it. She placed her hands on his as he helped her get up. He was a head taller than her so her head was tilted up as she looked into his eyes. He traced the back of his knuckles on the sides of her face, the touch feathery light. She held her breath.

"How can you say you love me after what my future self did to you?" Sakura placed her hands on top his as smiled softly up at him.

"When I first met you, the memory of the future you was still fresh in my mind. I tried to avoid you as much as possible," she felt him tense but she squeezed his hand to let him know she wasn't finished.

"But the more I got to know you and see how you interacted with your brother, your clan, and the villagers as the Hokage, I can see that you really, truly care and that you aren't the same person I fought in the war. The future you that I fought was overtaken with darkness and full of hate, though after I saw how deeply you cared about your brother and your clan, I can understand now why you became the way you did. Please don't let it consume you," she pleaded with her eyes.

" When you learn of the truth, do not let it consume you" The goddesses words echoed in his head. With a deep breath, he closed his eyes and rested his forehead on hers.

"Thank you, Sakura, for everything," he said softly as he leaned down to place a soft kiss on her lips.

"I think it's time we let the village know about us," Izuna said.

Sakura broke the kiss to look at them. Biting her lips like she wanted to say something, Toibirama tilted his head in her direction with a smirk on his face.

"Something on your mind, Sakura?" he asked, his eyes twinkling with mirth as he had a pretty good idea of what she wanted to say.

"Maybe we should wait before everyone knows," she began, fidgeting with her hands in front of her and avoiding their eyes. "I kind of like the idea of sneaking around," she whispered with a blush. She heard them groan before she was being pulled roughly into a chest - Hashirama's - and suddenly found herself kissing him deeply. Sakura sighed into the kiss, feeling happier than ever before as the rest of her men surrounded her.

"Then perhaps we should take this somewhere else," Tobirama said with a laugh. Sakura squealed as she was whisked away, with the rest of them not too far behind.
