Our story begins not in the 1980s ... .or even the 1970s ... .but all the way back in the 1930s, the Great Depression, a time where people are poor and hungry, especially in Hurricane, Utah. However, a family called the Aftons try to find a way to lift their spirits, a simple show called "Fredbear's Singing Show". Ads plastered everywhere with an animated looking bear based on old cartoons. Even getting a cartoon base of Fredbear, in every episode encountering random nameless animals and helping them out, with a bunny usually helping him, not the same bunny. This goes on for years and years until sometime in the 1960s, the late 60s, where one of the Aftons, who is just turning 23, William Afton, wanted to make Fredbear come to life. He did with rudimentary costumes, like ones you see for high school mascots. William, wanting to give him a partner, made a bunny named Bonnie, a golden rabbit with a purple bowtie, and they would perform for years, however Willaim, at 1972, thought about how to make more for Fredbear, so he made two new characters, Fredbear Jr. A.K.A. Freddy Fazbear, a yellowish brown bear son of Fredbear and a slightly purplish bunny named Bonnie Jr. the son of the Golden Bonnie. The four characters were successful, and they would've been the end of the story, if it weren't for others seeing the success of the ideas. A location called "Chica's Party". A place with robotic mascot characters, the mascot being a chicken named Chica, someone who will give cupcakes and perform. A place where the bots were created by Henry Emily, a robotics engineer who is pretty skillful at making robots, William was jealous but admired Henry's talent. On one stage is a magician elephant. Another stage, have a hippo that rambles on and on. But the main stage with Chica is where it all went wrong, this includes a cute young frog named Happy Frog, a pig that can play the banjo named PigPatch and a bear with a southern accent named Neddbear. Wait a bear? But bears were his, why not a cow, or a horse, to fit the country theme, to add insult to injury, this bear is similar to Freddy Fazbear, this makes William bitter. It didn't help that his place was shut down and was brought out by Henry. 1979, William, as bitter as he is, will admit that the place is running great and has success. Around that time, there was another place, more accurately, a house where someone set up a stage and made a pretty good animatronic pirate fox named Foxy where it didn't break down. Someone named Edwin Murphy, a young 20 year old, helping promote it, the two men went to Mr. Murphy and he agreed, with the trio launching Fredbear's Family Diner and a sister location at 1983 called Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, starring Freddy who became a bit more brown compare to him being brown yellow, Bonnie who became blue compare to being purple, Chica and Foxy, the four did need a lore reason to add Foxy so the two made two animated series, "Fredbear and Friends" where it have Foxy as the main antagonist and squeal series called "Freddy and Friends on Tour" where Foxy was later redeemed and join the cast. Business was booming and Afton was happy, mostly, it did bothered him that in the former, Bonnie Sr. is barely used and in the spinoff, both him and Fredbear don't appear, but things were running smoothly, he had himself a wife, two sons and a daughter who is starting to learn how to walk. Realizing they have alot on their plate, William and Henry will run Fredbear's while Edwin will run Freddy's with the help of someone teaching anything added in both locations, Scot Cawton. Unknown to the men, tragedy and disaster is about to strike.
