It was a relaxing day at Mount Justice for the young heroes, with no mission from Batman and no school work. Things were going fine until Dick Grayson, aka Nightwing, walked out of the bathroom to find a strange, rusted metal box sitting against the wall. It had a loose red lock that was barely hanging onto it. Wally walked up to it and carefully picked it up.
Okay, this is strange. I better get the rest of them, he thought
The rest of the team, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Superboy, Miss Martian, and Artemis, were looking at the box in the lounge. With no idea what to do with the box.
"We should open it?" said Kid Flash
"No way it could some sort of trap," said Artemis
Aqualad turned to Robin, "And you say that you just found it?"
"Yeah, I didn't hear any ticking, so there's no bomb,"
"So what could be inside of it?" said Miss Martian
Superboy, without a word, just opened the box and inside was a DVD with a small note.
"A DVD and a note, that's it?" said Kid Flash
Aqualad grabbed a DVD with a logo saying "Death Battle: Heroes and Villians." Miss Martian grabbed the note and read it out loud.
"1 combatant has no prior knowledge of the other unless specified. 2 To ensure a fair fight, any specific moral restraints against killing are removed from combatants. All other traits are considered. 3 A combatant's maximum personal potential is examined unless specified otherwise. Factors unrelated to the combatants cannot end the battle. 4 Unless specified, all official material related to a character is applied unless found contradictory to the primary source material. Note that all of this is a simulation; no actual person died."
This got most of the young heroes hooked after Miss Martian read it.
"Alright, we've got something interesting to watch," said Kid Flash.
"We should tell the league about this DVD," said Aqualad
"We can tell them later their busy with their meeting," said Robin
"I want to see some of these death battles. It seemed interesting," said Superboy
"Plus, we could learn a thing or two," said Artemis
"C'mon Aqualad," said Miss Martian
Aqualad smiled and said, "Alright, let's watch it."
The teen turned on the TV and put the DVD into the DVD player. They were ready to watch Death Battle.
(Author note: The Death Battles aren't going to be in order, and I'm not going to change the outcomes)
