Is this the third time I have gone through and edited half my stories before my ADHD decides we're done with writing? Yes, but I simply refuse to leave you all in suspense so I am really trying here. So here we go

Internal monolog

Beast's monolog

She plagued his mind every minute of everyday…

He curses his heightened senses every second, he can smell only her even when she isn't in the room. She smelled heavenly to him, ancient literature, myrrh, and home. It drove him crazy, the more he tried to forget his problem, the more it bothered him. It took every fiber of his brain to stop himself from checking on her throughout the many battles they are in. His eyes can't help but seek her out. She could make him smile on his worst day.

The secret he must hide at all costs was rather obvious to him, and routinely congratulates himself on keeping this secret from his best friend, the best detective ever, A literal Empath and the biggest one…Starfire.

He had it bad for the dark haired empath..

He had to remind himself of all the reasons he couldn't tell anyone. She would scuff and call it another one of his infamous pranks, Cy would probably try to calculate the possibility of him being insane, Robin would walk away brooding until he figured out the true meaning, and Star...well she'd force raven into a girls night in the same breath she's threatening him if he hurts her.

Why was he so susceptible to her now?

Probably because there's no major threat to the entire universe.

The beast had a point, no threats to the universe after Trigon was defeated. A lot changed after that including the team;

Star cut her hair to just passed her shoulders and dyed random pieces green. Robin got obsessive, like his mentor, changed his name to Nightwing and went all dark and mysterious. Cy upgraded his robot parts, color matched to his skin with some fancy faux skin. It helped with his confidence immensely, looking as he did before while maintaining the perks.

The most impressive by far, to him anyway, was Raven…

She let her hair grow to the middle of her back, highlights added to her hair of differing colors. Her uniform changed from a leotard to a tunic with jeans underneath, still in the signature black and purple. Without the influence of Trigon, she's free to express herself, making progress every day at breaking the habits formed over years. Though she still does NOT like people in her personal space, got that one from personal experience and ended up out the window and into the ocean one too many times.

All he can think is how much he loves her, his beast however…has darker thoughts

God he was turning into such a simp, what is he going to do. How does someone like him get someone like her to notice him.

Bring her the biggest catch, show her you can provide for her.

He shook his head; this advice was not uncommon from his inner beast. He thought of courting on a survival basis. He didn't understand that most people are totally NOT into that. Sometimes he wondered what about her made his beast interested in her, as he was never interested in the girls before this. Based on the interactions with the beast over the years, Garfield wasn't sure he wanted to know.

Looking around his room he thought on his situation a little more. Raven wasn't like those other girls, the ones that wanted to be with him because of the fame.

How does one even flirt?

More importantly, how does one flirt and not get themselves murdered?

He was a completely uncoordinated, helplessly in love, simp for a half demon who doesn't even like people that much. Especially one Garfield Logan, who on many occasions has been the victim of her wrath.

He stood outsider her door with his hand posed to knock.

Staring ahead he willed his hand to move, time moved in slow motion as the knocks sounded. He could hear her on the other side of the door getting off her bed and walking towards the door.

It's not too late to leave..

Don't you dare, she will think we are weak, that is not a good trait in a mate. She will no longer consider our potential!

The door opened to Raven, clad in an oversized sweatshirt and pajama pants. His tongue stuck to the roof of his mouth as he tried to talk.

"Can I help you?" She said after awkwardly long eye contact.

"Uh- Ye-, well.. um.." he stuttered.

She cocked her hip to the side waiting for his response. "I was just wondering if you were… watching the movie in the common room tonight or not!"

At her look of confusion he explained," Yea Star and I were going to watch the new Saw movie that just came out."

She rubbed her arms and leaned against the doorframe, "Um.. sure but haven't they made a ton of those? What could they possibly put in this one that's different?"

"Rae that's the best part! Come on!" He grabbed her hand and pulled her with him to the common room. A tingling sensation ran up his arm from the contact.

I do not understand, why is this "saw" important to human mating ritual?

Saw is the movie man, and second, movies are totally a date activity! This is progress, trust.

Now how was he going to get Star to act like this was their plan all along? Unless… he doesn't tell Star. Use this as an opportunity for a little one-on-one time with Raven…Hmmm…

He pulled her to the couch and let go of her hand to sit. Grabbing the controller, he flipped through the movies they had purchased and got it started. Raven sat on her end of the couch, and he decided to sit in the middle more towards her side.

He was totally overthinking this.

The movie began to play, and he proceeded to completely ignore the movie trying to decipher Ravens facial expression. He watched her, watching the movie, like a creepy weirdo he was beginning to suspect he was.

Over the course of the movie Beast Boy inched his way over to her side of the couch, till they were almost right next to each other. At a particularly scary part Raven jumped and grabbed his arm. She kept her grip on his arm throughout the rest of the movie.

As the credits rolled he looked over to find Raven fast asleep. He gently brushed her hair out of her face while removing his arm from her grip.

What are the chances that she kills him if she finds out he picked her up?

Likely.

Ignoring his conscious and internal beast, he slowly picked her up bridal style and carried her to her room. He thought he saw a shadow pass by the hallway and picked up his speed. As much as he was enjoying this, he didn't think she would enjoy their teammates knowing he carried her to her room. Thankfully her door opened as they neared and he stepped over the threshold into her room. The door closed behind him.

It's not like he hadn't ever been in her room; but the last time was years ago. The décor now was much the same but had matured as she grew. He spotted her bed in the corner and slowly walked over.

Setting her down as gently as he could, even though he was pretty sure he was shaking from the nerves. He pulled the sheets back and covered her up and watched as she unconsciously furrowed her brow and cuddled into the sheets.

Smiling he left and walked to his own room…

A/N: Allllrighty then… there we go with the new/edited chapter of this story, only like a million more to go.

I want to thank you all who have stuck with me throughout my journey and hiatus and all the chaos that is life. I appreciate you all!
