I wanted this to be the first one, but due to lack of better information, it came late.

So, read it and do your best to give me your thoughts about this sort of scenario.

Next on the line is:

Dungeons and Dragons!

Have fun.

Ashes of the now silent forest, had enveloped the area where once proud Light Elves lived. It was not a common event in the forest, but a tragic incident caused due to the awakening of the Ancient Red Dragon.

However, the undead visitor had no knowledge of such a thing. He just arrived here out of pure curiosity. In order to ask for the information and understood his position in this new world. After all, it was nor everyday, that he would be transported to a world where he could walk around without any equipments. Though, his undead physiology removed that problem, he still felt right to be alert of anything unusual.

Therefore, before coming here, he had casted various buff and stealth spells, just in case there were any traps here.

"Hmm, this forest must be pretty beautiful if the exit is well made. Alas, that dragon's presence says otherwise."

Momonga sighed as he remembered the red dragon's figure who burnt the forest while devouring the light elves, whether they were dead or alive.

That was why he came here prepared with enough items, buffs and escape tools as well, just in case.

"I don't think there is anybody alive here. Let's check this place one last time."

[Widen Magic : Detect Life]

Casting the 1st tier spell, he waited for any life signatures, but much to his surprise, there was a living being here.

The spell signaled him to the only well of this place, where an elven girl was floating. Using the [Telekinesis], he took out the girl out of the well. He felt relived that the girl was alive. She could become a good source of information if her age was anything to go by. He wondered if the girl suffered some sort of amnesia, but quickly shooked away such thoughts. Though his stealth spell vanished as he wanted to talk to her face to face.

Putting the girl on the ground, he checked her body to find any sort of injury. Thankfully, there were none.

"Hmm, now what should I do to wake her up? She looks fine to me, the healing items will be useless here. Ah, I got it."

Momonga took out his Guild Weapon from his inventory, [Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown], which held many spells that even he could not cast on his own. Especially, the spells originated from the Divine Magic System. His build never suited for such types spells. But with his staff, he could do that with ease.

Activating the staff's power, he casted the spell.

"[Greater Heal]"

This 7th tier spell was capable of healing both the lethal as well as non-lethal damage with ease to any single target. There were superior variation of this spell as well, but he didn't find them adequate for this situation. He waited for the spell to take effect and the pale complexion of the elven girl became bright again. Her face seemed calmer than before and her constantly depleting HP rose a bit.

Momonga sighed in relief.

"Finally, the spell worked well. Now, I just need to wake her up."

Before he could wake her up, he heard the sound of gunfire. Not just once or twice, but multiple times. The number of fallen bullets were increasing as he ignored them, but watching the aim of these bullets on himself, he went back to his alert mode. Looking at the direction of these bullets, he saw men in green clothes. He quickly casted the spell that could save him and his information source from this onslaught.

"[Silent Magic :Wall of Protection from Arrows]"

A translucent dome of golden energy covered him and the girl, while protecting them from the rapid shots from these new adversaries.

For a moment, the clothes reminded him of the Japanese military of Neo-Japan. Though they wore black clothes instead of green, as there were hardly any forest left in the 22nd century.

Momonga also noticed that none of their bullets reached him at all. This suggested that none of them were using high tier magic bullets over him. In simple words, they were newbies.

Sighing again in relief, he wondered whether his upcoming overestimation over this whole scenario was just a part of his paranoia or not. Even if he was overestimating them, Momonga knew that such a scenario would bring his downfall if showed them his trump cards. Therefore, instead of his high tier spells, he used his low tier spell to feed them the wrong info.

Yes, he didn't enhanced them at all. These men in green would also become a good source of information as well.

"[Fireball, [Fireball, [Fireball]..."

He retaliated with the 3rd tier spells only, as a show of his strength in fire magic only and only good in defensive magic as well.

Much to Mommga's surprise and even to his enemies, his spells killed them in a single shot itself. And no matter what type of defensive measures they used to defend themselves, they died with the great burst of fire damage.

"Shit! Shit! Shit! ... If this goes on, then my new source of information will die down soon. But how come they are so weak? Are they even weaker than mooks themselves? Just what kind of trap is it?"

Not thinking this type of retaliation, some of them used rocket laucher on Momonga, but it didn't work as well.

The fire was slowly covering the forest as well and standing in the middle of the butning forest was not good for the elven girl's health. The undead king knew that the elves were weak to poison damage, but this elf had no protection against poison damage. Not even basic magic equipments to protect herself from the harmful smokes produced right now.

He took the escape option and teleported from there to a safe location.

Leaving behind a burning forest again, and a certain otaku named Itami with the feeling of despair in his wake.
