These characters don't belong to me, they belong to Martin Walls and his video called The Mysterious House. The only characters that I own are characters that aren't in The Mysterious House or the unnamed character's headcanon names.
The kids were back in school after the weekend. Luckily, there were no more tests for a little while since they were done and over with. It looked to be yet another ordinary week at school. However, not everyone can be prepared for school immediately after the weekend. And it couldn't have been more obvious in Johnny's case.
After being friendzoned by Tammy, Johnny was obviously not in good spirits. He struggled all day long with classes and mostly stayed away from his friends. Even his closest friends, like Angelo and Jessie he tried to stay clear of. It wasn't just for this particular day either, it occurred all week long. And unlike Duckie who they were able to approach some time before, the moment any of them approached Johnny, he ran off.
During lunch, Tammy, Duckie, Jessie, Angelo, Rex, and Porter talked about it. "I thought me going through a hard time was tough," said Duckie, "No offense to Johnny, but I think I found someone tougher." "It's not like we can just approach him like our friends did with you," said Tammy, "He straight up ran away when we did that." "I say I bring my father's security cameras to school," suggested Porter, "Then we know where Johnny is and when he least expects it, we tackle him to the ground, then he has to talk with us!" Rex and everyone just gave Porter a look. "Really Porter?" asked Rex, "That's probably the worst route we could take." "Look guys, we shouldn't just come up with an immediate plan," said Angelo, "We need to think about it, develop a plan, and if we agree on it, we'll take that route. As we've seen, it's not so easy."
Jessie came up with something. "I know what to do!" she said. Many believed it was about to lead to a joke. "Jessie," said Tammy, "If this leads to a joke-" "This isn't a joke," Jessie said, cutting off Tammy, "I'll try talking to him myself when the weekend comes. Maybe he'll be better by then, but I'll have to see for myself." "You serious?" asked Rex. "Does this look serious to you?" asked Jessie, pointing to her own face. It didn't take Rex long to find out she was serious. As much as Jessie liked to joke, when things got serious enough, she'd stop joking.
She walked off to throw away her trash. "You don't see that from Jessie everyday," said Rex. "She is literally best friends with Johnny, so it's to be expected," said Porter, "But I do think there's something more going on." Everyone in the group looked at Porter with eyebrows raised. "What are you talking about?" asked Angelo. "I know this might sound crazy, but I think Jessie has a crush on Johnny," explained Porter, as everyone gave him a look, "I know, it sounds crazy. But even if you don't believe me, you have to admit Jessie sure looks out for Johnny."
There was a bit of awkward silence, until Tammy said, "Right..." The bell then went off all the students in the cafeteria, including Porter and his friends threw their trash away and headed back to their classes. "I can't be that off, can I?" Porter asked himself. He'd never know for sure if he was accurate or off about what he said.
The next day, Johnny was at the park, sitting on one of the benches. An expression filled with flashbacks of the past. While Johnny wasn't really crying anymore, he was still hurting on the inside. He didn't tell his mom or brother about it either, especially since he knew how protective his brother was of him.
Just then, he heard a familiar voice. "Hey Johnny," said Jessie, approaching him, "I understand why your bothered, but I'm not gonna pester you about it." Johnny looked like he was gonna run off, but when Jessie said that, he didn't look it as much. "Look," Jessie continued, "Your one of my best friends and I hate to see you like this. You remember how we didn't like seeing Duckie so down? Well, I don't like seeing you down either. You don't have to explain yourself, I understand the situation very much. I just wanna help you feel better in anyway I can."
Jessie could tell it was working, as Johnny now had all of his attention on her. "That being said Johnny boy," said Jessie, "I was thinking, maybe we could hang out and try to get this situation off your mind." Johnny thought about it and nodded, "Alright."
It started off a bit slow when they decided to go to Bon's Burgers. They watched Bon and his friends do a live show. Johnny seemed to kind of enjoy himself. However, it was cut short when Chris chased them out of the restaurant, under suspension that they were keeping Tammy away from him. Hiding from Chris then him running back, not knowing where Johnny and Jessie made Jessie herself laugh. Johnny soon followed with laughter too.
Next, they went to an arcade since they didn't wanna risk seeing Chris again. They played plenty of games as there was quite the variety to choose from. Some were space themed, some were racing themed, and others had various different types of themes. Jessie could tell Johnny was slowly looking to be back to his usual self. So she kept doing stuff with him.
Not much else is known about what they did. But what is known is that the last place they went to was that field that Johnny did his demonstration at. Of course though, there were no demonstrations this time. The two just simply lied in the grass, watching the clouds go by.
"What a day," said Johnny. "I mean, we did do a lot today," said Jessie. The two just wanted to relax after all the stuff they did for the day. It looked like Jessie's plans had worked, because Johnny looked and acted like his usual self again for the first time in a week. That was a good sign on it's own.
"How did you feel about, you know, today?" asked Jessie. "It was great," Johnny replied, "It was great Jessie. I honestly can't thank you enough for doing everything you could to help me. If it wasn't for you, I'd probably continue to be sad like I had been for the week." "Aww, your welcome," said Jessie, trying not to blush, "I mean, I was just trying to help out my best friend. After all, you needed someone to help you through your troubles." "But you helped me," said Johnny, "Much more than you were anticipating. It might not sound like much, but what you did really shows how much you care about me as a friend."
Johnny then gave Jessie a hug. Jessie could feel the heat crawling onto her face. She felt like she had done something very special to help her best friend out. Even if she wanted to deny it, deep in her heart, she knew Johnny was right.
Later on, Johnny was getting into bed for the night. Admittedly, he felt good about the day. What Jessie did to help him out was pretty much what any friend would do in that type of scenario. It really showed how much Jessie cared for him and he appreciated that, very much. This was something that would undoubtedly stick with with him in his mind for a while. He then shut his lamp off and tried to go to sleep.
Jessie meanwhile was getting prepared for bed too. But she was also writing in a book of hers. It revealed something that one of her friends was suspicious of.
October 14th
I had a fun day with Johnny boy. He was going through a tough time when he was rejected by Tammy, which went on for at least a week. I knew I had to help him feel better in any way I possibly could. Johnny said I did a good thing helping him by just hanging out and having fun. I think all he needed was to be around someone he could fully trust.
And once things settle, maybe I could see if we could take our friendship to the next level. The truth is, there is something I have kept secret from everyone, even my closest friends. Not many know why I look out for Johnny so often. Those that do think I am just very protective of him. But there's more to it than just looking out or protecting him.
I have a crush on Johnny Bear
Perhaps Porter had a reason to think that about Jessie. And little did he know, his suspicions were indeed true...
THE END!
