2 days that would go down in infamy. 1 act presumabely out of a mother wanting to find her son turned into a vicious betrayal.
Hetty was taking a break from sitting at Callen's bedside when she saw Mosely walk up.
'Just came to check on everyone, and to inform you you'll have to come to DC with me to answer for what happened.' She said.
'I almost lost my family because of you. Give me 1 good reason why I shouldn't challenge you to a duel right this minute.' Hetty snarled.
'I, I had to get my son back. I never meant for anyone to get hurt.'
'You fired Mr. Deeks and you threatened me with blackmail. You wanted your son back no matter who got hurt, and you can't deny it!'
'That is not fair. I care about your team, and you know it! Hell, you're alive today because I sent them to look for you!'
'They came looking for me on their own free will! They wouldn't have cared if you gave them permission or not! You know, I always thought there was something about you that smelled wrong, and now I know I was right to be suspicious.' Hetty growled.
'I was sent here to replace the now deceased Owen Granger, we would've had to work together whether you liked it or not!' Mosely exclaimed.
'Owen would never have done what you did! I told him soon after he 1st came to my team that I would fight him if he ever tried to break up my team, and he listened! And before you try to say that I would do anything to protect my team, I would never, ever force them into that kind of danger that you did! You betrayed me, Shay, and I don't like it when those I'm supposed to trust hurt my people.' Hetty exclaimed.
'I never meant for anyone to get hurt! Please try and understand that. We're going to have to see each other in the same room for a while, can we please try and be civil?' Mosely asked, wanting the shouting to stop.
'Oh, I will. But when the investigation is over, I want you gone. I opposed your insane plan from the start, so I will tell those politicians everything, and I won't hold back. I cannot have a partner who I can't trust to look after my team. Do I make myself clear?'
Silence.
'I understand.' Mosely muttered.
'Good. I'll see you in DC.' Hetty replied. Then she went back to Callen.
'I just wanted my son back.' Mosely thought to herself as she walked away.
Feeling guilty, Mosely took full responsibility for what happened, and left NCIS. And Hetty personally requested that the next assistant director not be sent to her team.
