On That September Day: AUTHOR NOTES: Read me
TW: Mentions of 9/11 and the graphic horror of that day. You'll just have to imagine that the Avengers: Endgame happened a lot sooner than it did because the piece of music at the end of this story is from it, it's called The Real Hero. You actually hear it at the beginning and the end of the film. At the beginning it's played on Celesta or Vibraphone or something, and it's played piano-pianissimo (ppp) but it's there.
I mean no disrespect by writing this (and some of Chandler's observations are my own.) in the UK we say Quarter to and Quarter past. Furthermore, "Fall" is "Autumn" here.
This is somewhat AU, and it might be a series from the perspective of the different fandoms I write in.
This is based on a dream I had 2 weeks before September 11th 2001. The dream involved me and my mother flying over Manhattan on broomsticks and finding a smoking crater behind Madison Square Garden, which, I thought, wasn't that far from the World Trade Center (it was 11 blocks). The experiences of the characters overlap in time⦠(Writing about this was a recent writing group homework exercise. Maybe in 10 years or more, writing about how COVID-19 affected everyone will be the same.)
