AUTHOR'S NOTES, AUTHOR'S PURPOSE, WARNINGS, AND DISCLAIMERS

This long epic ode-like poem marked many epic fanfiction milestones for me. It's my first ever fanfiction poem that is a self-insert, the first to have a long number of stanzas, making this one of of my longest poems ever, and the 100th fanfiction for FFN. What is funny, this is the 200th fanfiction on my AO3 page.

A Magical Symphony was the first ever fanfiction I published online. And, for this being my 100th fanfiction on FFN and my 200th on AO3, I chose to write the iconic Super Smash Brothers self-insert into an epic ode-like poem meant to capture the charm and storytelling prowess of the original fanfiction, complete with the poem being told from my point of view, as I, the author of the iconic story, served as the story's central protagonist.

I could not have made it this far without all the support I get from you, and it's here that I am thanking each and every one of my readers for helping me get this far in writing.

I do not own the characters presented in this story, all rights go to the owners. The only characters I own are the original characters created for the story.

I hope you find this poem pleasing, as much as people found A Magical Symphony a charming and unforgettable fanfiction masterpiece.

A Magical Symphony: An Epic Ode Poem

A Super Smash Brothers Epic Poem

Based on the Super Smash Brothers fanfiction A Magical Symphony

By ktlnboyle

I hail as a young girl

With a tiger named Stripes in hand.

We are nothing like a band

As we together traveled the world.

Lost in Cyberville was my favorite story

One Stripes and I would read nonstop.

The book was filled with interesting tales

Tales that would never, not ever, stop.

One day has come near

One that we will never forget.

We traveled to that town of Cyberville

But it was soon an adventure we could not forget.

Stripes and I were unconscious in town

Far away from home.

The scenery was familiar to our eyes,

Knowing that it was that very city.

We came across Mario

Who look at us with bright, kind eyes.

As we passed through the city's hustle and bustle,

We made it to Cyberville's great town hall.

We stopped at Town Hall,

It was there where Stripes would sit.

He looked up at the hall,

Comparing it to a mighty jungle tree.

We soon met Mario's little brother,

But that was when we were tasked.

Defending Cyberville was our new job,

Before it was bound for destruction.

We met the Miklan Private Militia,

Who stole Flayn's sacred staff.

I confronted them with an easy deal,

Knowing and thinking they would retreat.

I knew Flayn like the back of my hand,

The same applied to her brother, Seteth.

I never said how I knew them,

But they knew I hailed from the outland world.

I soon met Lady Rhea,

Kind, bold, and passionate all through.

But it was right through our meeting,

That I met a new friend bold, brave and true.

I dreamt of meeting him in person,

Byleth was his name.

I told Lady Rhea what happened

Before making my way to Cyberville's town of fame.

I then met the dazzling, delightful Dorothea,

One of Byleth's acclaimed students.

She noticed my tiger Stripes knew her name

As it was Byleth who mentioned it.

Stripes and I learned a lot of importance

Of friendship and its need to people.

Friendship was the key to living

And it was an essential part of life.

Chaos then started to reign forth

When Bowser and his troops entered the town.

Stripes and I had discovered his actions

Before two special heroes showed up.

The two special heroes

Were special, 'tis be true.

The Radiant Hero of Legend was among one,

Ike was his name so true.

A Pokemon Trainer was accompanied,

Saying a quote to not forget.

"When we stand strong in Cyberville,

The world needs not of evil spirits".

Bowser then sentenced their allies

Being Charizard and Ike's father Greil.

Bowser was booed for his crimes

As I thought it was unreal.

Ike proved he was protective of Greil,

These words were true, indeed.

His sister Mist was concerned and angry,

But in the midst I did see Sir Greil.

I panicked to Ike's father,

'Tis bold and good and sane.

Bowser was going to kill him and Charizard,

If they came anywhere near his castle domain.

As Greil would not allow another Mad King's War to happen,

Exile was the only choice.

Charizard and he fled from the town of Cyberville

Knowing that danger would soon be flapping.

They left for Bowser's castle

Despite the words of Ike.

I started to cry out hard and true

Knowing that both would meet their end.

As Byleth and Ike readied horses,

They were going to join me and Stripes.

But Bangle and Professor Paws we encountered

As Stripes missed Paws' lecture.

We soon met Ike's friends,

Chrom, Lucina, and Marth were their names.

With Princess Peach, Roy, Joker, Terry and Min Min at their side too,

It was truly a Super Smash Brothers adventure come true!

Stripes, Ike, Byleth and I were soon following Greil and Charizard,

Stopping at Bowser's castle domain.

The duo walked closer and closer

But that was when chaos started to worsen the reign.

The two were humiliated

By Bowser's troops and closest allies.

The Miklan Private Militia were all there too…

But I wondered and questioned something so true.

I questioned Ike about his father and Charizard

About why they could not fight back.

He acted like he knew the reason why

But in reality, he never knew the real truth.

Bowser was disappointed with the duo

Yet angry and insignificant.

He pointed the knives at Greil and Charizard,

Killing them both from their backs.

I gasped after witnessing the cruelty

I just had to tell Charizard's trainer.

As Bangle questioned me about the event,

I explained everything.

Byleth helped Ike with the grieving,

Because that's what friends were for.

I knew I had to tell Mario

And all of Cyberville too.

I also learned more about friends

And friendship's bitter importance.

I learned about the grieving of family

But even I thought it was hard.

Mario was shocked with the news,

But he remained bold and brave.

I was then tasked with an important job

Which was leading Cyberville to war.

I took the stage for a speech

I remained gentle and calm.

Bowser's Magic of Reason would perish

On the Seventh of the cold December month.

As everyone cheered on my words,

I hired more people of Cyberville

As the soldiers were growing and growing,

The Cyberville Revolution Army was thus born.

The Seventh of the December month came,

Knowing that it was time to fight.

Goods and weapons were being bought up

To be ready for a fight so right.

I overlooked Bowser's Castle,

Lying on the horizons.

I saw that danger was lying ahead.

But I was never going to give up.

After an unusual fire in the kitchen,

Bowser's army marched to our way.

I was ready to outnumber his army

As the fight for Cyberville's peace and justice was just beginning!

The war was 'til the next day,

As Wyvern Lords flew over the land.

The troops of the Koopa King have finally arrived,

Knowing the fight would soon be heard across the land.

Bowser would end Cyberville

For all those who made him suffer.

He then charged at my army,

But I had to say something bold and true.

For Greil and Charizard

And for those who suffered and perished,

I said that quote quiet but true,

"We will win" did I shout!

I saw Bowser give Miklan a Heroes' Relic.

The Lance of Ruin it was.

He was soon covered in thick black mass,

Knowing he would end in a monstrous manner.

As Miklan transformed into the Black Beast,

Bowser himself was covered in the mass.

He transformed into the mighty Giga Bowser,

Ready to tower and destroy the town of Cyberville.

Sylvain Jose Gautier then spoke out

To Bowser and his insane brother Miklan.

But chaos would only get a whole lot worse

Right on the cue of a One-Winged Angel.

Sephiroth later made his battle debut

As Cyberville would suffer a great dispair.

Cloud Strife knew he had to do something

But I still commanded Cyberville's army of revolution.

But something changed the war forever,

Something that we would remain strong.

Greil and Charizard were resurrected,

Being revived to their glorious selves.

Bowser thought he had killed the goddess

Who had revived both the ones he had killed.

An army of Master Hands and Galeem appeared,

Ready to assist us in the battle for justice and peace.

Bowser fell to the ground,

Being shattered by the World of Light.

But the war for Cyberville wasn't yet over,

As Sephiroth was still somewhere in the light.

I never expected the war's final boss

To be the One-Winged Angel Sephiroth.

Stripes and I would continue to fight

Until Sephiroth fell to his death.

I took out Byleth's dagger

Stabbing Sephiroth in the stomach.

Stripes did the honor of eating him like meat,

But nonetheless, Cyberville was saved.

I thanked Byleth for his help,

But I thanked the other Super Smash Brothers too.

It was time for Stripes and I to return home,

Where we would remain heroic and true.

It was finally the roam to home,

But I knew Sephiroth was never a memory,

I was pleased to see my friends again,

Hoping that something like that would never repeat.

My magical moral of the tale,

Is one bold, but yet true.

"Friendship is the key to the importance of living"

And I kept this magical symphony in my heart so true.
