Waking up with a heavy heart , sweating profusely while he was breathless
... another sleepless night..
He lets out a heavy sigh , his heart being heavy , his hand near his heavy heart , he couldn't feel his legs nor his hands , they were numb.
Soon morning came , taking a shower , he puts on his clothes , washing his face one more time because he couldn't find the energy to stay awake , he let out a yawn while going to his desk to work.
He got into the office , not meeting eyes with anyone , Ayanami lets out a sigh , knowing Hyuuga is only there to bother him and not does his work , for a solide of 5 minutes , Ayanami noticed that Hyuuga wasn't disturbing him
He lifted his violet eyes , astonished as he was , he saw Hyuuga working , it actually shocked him as Hyuuga was consisered as one of the laziest man in his group , working on his papers.
He was checking the important documents that Ayanami asked him to days ago , Ayanami didn't say anything and continued to work , Konatsu , who saw Hyuuga working made a comment
"Ohh , Hyuuga-sama is working today , what a surprised"
He giggled but Hyuuga didn't react and only talked barely with emotions
"I felt like working today"
Konatsu finded it weird but let it pass , he thought that Hyuuga might have woke up in the wrong bed today and continued his work without saying another word.
They've been working for hours , Hyuuga didn't eat lunch as he forgot , Ayanami noticed it , Ayanami usually skips lunch do he could finish his documents but Hyuuga would be annoying him to eat lunch to the point where he needed to accept
Hours went by and to the point where it was night , Hyuuga let out a yawn
"Hyuuga-sama , you aren't wearing your shades today? Usually you don't go anywhere without them"
Kuroyuri commented looking at Hyuuga who seemed lost , Hyuuga pat his face with his hand realising that Kuroyuri wasn't lying
"Ah"

"I must've forgotten them"
Hyuuga scratched his neck , upon realising that it was night , the others had gone away , to bed i suppose , Kuroyuri also left
Hyuuga let out a yawn as he left the offfice , Ayanami furrowed his eyebrows , his violet eyes noticing the tired amethyst eyes , dark circles under his eyes
Ayanami couldn't help but feel like something is wrong with him
something is definitely wrong
Hyuuga went to his room , he went to the cupboard , searching for his shades as he couldn't find them until he fell into a picture , taking the piece of paper in his hands , he let out a heavy sigh
His mind was absorbed in the picture , he felt a presence , his hand on his kantana , feeling ready to slash whoever it is as he didn't hear the door opened , but then he felt a hand rested on his upper hand
Looking aside , he saw violet eyes looking straight into his amethyst eyes
"Oh Aya-tan , sorry I didn't hear the door open"
Hyuuga put the picture down and it caught Ayanami's attention , they were both silent , Hyuuga found it a bit awkward being silent such a sudden
Ayanami saw a young woman in the picture , she was very beautiful , she had long dark hair , her eyes were navy blue wearing crystals earrings
Ayanami felt like that she might be someone close to Hyuuga , he didn't question Hyuuga
"Do you need something Aya-tan?"
"You seem tired"
Ayanami said without looking at him
"Do I?"
A small smile formed on Hyuuga's face , Ayanami laid his eyes on him and let out a sigh , he put his hand on Hyuuga's cheek
"What's bothering you?"
Hyuuga didn't say anything but Ayanami definitely knew something was wrong
"You seem like you didn't sleep for days"
"You're right"
"And why? You usually don't have trouble to find sleep , but these days you don't seem to be sleeping well"
"So much words in a sentence Aya-tan"
Ayanami doesn't talk that much , using so many words in a sentence like this means he's worried but he only talk like that to Hyuuga , he let out a yawn , wanting to sleep
But sleeping again means having nightmare and having nightmare means having another sleepless night , Hyuuga sat down on the bed , Ayanami didn't hesitate to sit down next to him
Hyuuga was kind of shocked to see him sit right next to him on his bed but he didn't say anything , Hyuuga's bed was prettg big , his bed was the size of 2 people
Ayanami shocked Hyuuga more by leaning down on the bed , making him comfortable
"Hah , Aya-tan , you're full of surprises today"
Hyuuga said with a small smile as Ayanami doesn't usually come in his room and especially making himself comfortable in his room
Hyuuga lay down next to him , on Ayanami's arm , getting closer, Ayanami didn't mind it , Hyuuga was always clingy to him , he can'tsay he doesn't like it , Hyuuga rested a hand on Ayanami's chest
"What's bothering you lately Hyuuga?"
Ayanami asked in a husky voice , Hyuuga let let out a heavy sigh , silence , there were silence for 10 minutes straight , Hyuuga know it was useless to stay quiet
"You've seen the picture that I've left on the table?"
Ayanami look aside , at the table next to the bed , it was the woman who he was talking about
"She's my mother"
Ayanami have never seen his mother before
"Today is her 20th death anniversary"
Hyuuga's throat tighten , Ayanami furrowed his eyebrows and said nothing but he ruffle Hyuuga's hair , a way of making him know that he is always there for him
"That's why you've been having trouble of sleeping?"
"It's either having nightmares of my past , of the way she burned through fire or i don't sleep at all"
but somehow , your arm feels so comfortable and your voice is relaxing
Hyuuga couldn't help but smile and Ayanami noticed
"She's with you , juet unseen and can't hear her"
Hyuuga nodded
"Aren't you afraid people are gonna come in?"
Hyuuga asked , looking at Ayanami
"I locked the door when entering"
Hyuuga smile
"Tomorrow , we can go visit her grave at your home town if you want"
Ayanami said , upon 5 minutes later , he soon realised that Hyuuga had fallen asleep , was his arm that comfortable? Ayanami smiled , both of them have been hiding their relationship , they didn't want people to know about it yet
"Goodnight.."
He kissed Hyuuga's forehead , Ayanami closed his eyes , letting himself fall into darkness without uttering another word
